Contributor Posts: 233 Group: Members Member #5 Joined: Mar 10, 2008 XBox Live Gamertag hobbes06 Wii Code 0118 6981 4565 6325	I finally gave in and after reading reviews about how the good this film looked bought it a few days ago and got round to watching it last night While its not (in my opinion) the best Disney movie it really needs to be seen to be believed, and if this is an indication of how much time, effort and obviously money Disney are throwing behind restoring their back catalogue then I think Beauty and the Beast could leave me with my jaw on the floor. For a 50 year old movie you'd expect there to be a little grain or a little colour fading, but the restoration is flawless, the colours are vibrant and it genuinely looks 3D at parts, especially when Aurora is dancing with Phillip in the forest and when Phillip is fighting Maleficent in her dragon form I haven't checked any of the extras so can't comment on those picture quality 10/10 audio quality 10/10 (I don't have a surround sound system, but from my TV speakers the sound was crystal clear)

It obviously didn't have much going on as i don't remember a single thing about it. I dont think it's by any stretch of the imagination one of the disney greats...think the likes of Snow White, Jungle Book and Robin Hood outdone it. I'd put Sleeping Beauty in the same league as Bambi (boring, too goody-goody and lecturing at a very young audience) Pinnochio (never saw the attraction, he was weird looking as a puppet, pain in the arse as a 'real boy' and the whole eaten- by -a-whale thing just freaked me out) and I suppose even Cinderella since I don't remember much about that either other than the three fat fairies (surely even magic couldn't keep them in the air!!) On the whole I like Disney, but they have made some terrible animated films.

So just the usual Disney bastardisation of a classic book then I'm not a fan of the movie either to be honest, but because of the Disney cash cow, I mean its vault, I'm just buying all of them when they get released on bluray The good thing is though after Pinocchio its Fantasia then Snow White on blu
