Does Combat memory apply to regular attacks, that is an attack that doesn't utilize any sort of technique whatsoever, with the same strength and speed? For instance if you are struck by a regular attack that had 4 strength and 3 speed then then if that same person attacked you again with a regular attack with 4 strength and 3 speed, would Combat Memory then give you the bonus to dodge it? Or does it only apply to techniques? Also, the way creativity is worded it seems like your character can know techniques without counting against your maximum number of techniques as long as the level of the technique is equal to or lower than your creativity. Is it supposed to work like that or am I just seeing what I want to see? |

A) I am thinking no to that because there are so so many ways to through a punch or a kick or any other method that you speak of to really have a use to memorize it. Just because you were hit by a hammer fist and know how a hammer fist works doesn't mean that you can suddenly dodge every kick i do. B) what creativity does is allow you to learn techiniques. Say you want to learn a spell..lets call it End of Days (a general big boom spell) it is a level 40 skill...Inorder to learn End of Days you must first get 40 creativity, not including requirments for the skill. that is my half yen at least someone else take it if you think i am wrong |

A) I didn't mean you'd get the bonus for every strike, just the ones with the same stats, adding or reducing the strength/speed would negate the bonus. But I figured it wouldn't work with regular strikes anyway, just wanted to make sure. B) I know Creativity allows you to learn techniques without doing a 10 paragraph training thread, but it's this that I'm not sure of:
This makes it sound like as long as my creativity is equal to or greater than the level of the technique I never have to put it on my list of known techniques, that is it doesn't take up a slot. |

| I'll be honest with you. I hate the creativity stat. I think that its a real bitch of a limiter, but then again, it helps us from having people with 2 powerful level stats and running the board. |

| What's wrong with Creativity? It doesn't limit the strength of your techniques, you can still make a technique that's above your Creativity so long as you do a 10 paragraph training thread. Creativity is just there for people like me who hate training threads as it allows you to skip them so long as the technique in question has a level equal to or lower than your Creativity. |

| Eh, its one of the many things that I'm too lazy to understand why. I'm sure I'll sit down with Fay one of these days and we'll discuss but until then, I'll be bypassing the HELL outta of it. |
