| I'm guessing we are free to make up animal life as we see fit? Or would it be safe to stick to the same type of animals on Earth? |

Thats a very good question. Although this world is populated by humans, much like earth. It is also steeped in magic and the like. I would endeavor to say that although many normal fauna such as Horses, Wolves, Bears and etc are running around, again Cloud wants us to make this world to be our own, so a bestiary of sorts developed by the players would not be out of the question. Any thoughts from the other members? This is a very good topic. |

| We definitely need a Tarrasque as well, perhaps we could have a competition like on CoC with four separate parts; one for low level creatures, one for mid level creatures, one for high level creatures and one for the extremely powerful creatures that are rarely seen for one reason or another and are so immensely powerful that killing them is but a distant dream to all but the most powerful of individuals. |

| Sounds good...I was thinking that if Cloud still had the format from CoC, we could use that as a base for people to add to the bestiary. |

I agree, a contest to get it started would be good. But I'd also like to point out that in this world the animals and 'monsters' -if the two were a separate word in this case- are a part of society, culture and the nature around them. Keep that in mind. When you create your creature give them sensible uses and maybe even ties to the world around them. Not all of them have to be malevolent. That way others can describe your creatures bounding across the plains as they march their npc armies into battle. So I'll see if I can track Cloud down, get a simple format for the contest, otherwise we'll have to devise our own. Any initial ideas for creatures? So far I've seen; Winged Houscats and A Tarrasque... by the way... I'm going to put a NO stamp on the Tarrasque *shudders* |

| Or, at the very least, super-rare, "the world won't be the same if it ever shows up" kind of monster that would only come as a major event, or a part thereof. |

| I was playing D&D once and the DM pulled out the Tarrasque. Any monster that can waltz right through waterdeep and nobody stop it should be highly restricted if permitted at all. Although if it lived in nowhere and someone happened to point it in the direction of the wall well stuff would happen at a furious pace at that point. |
