Zamia woke much like she had the previous day minus the confusion as to where she was and what had happened. Her eyes slowly slid open and she sat up frowning as her arms and legs twinged from the simple movement. She was surprised to find herself back in the bed and not where she'd collapsed on the floor or worse. She'd only caught the tail end of what that guy Fay had said but it didn't sound pleasant. she wouldn't have been surprised if she hadn't woken up at all. She quickly slid the sheets off of herself and slipped out of bed, swaying slightly as she tried to regain her balance. She didn't know what time it was but the window was dark so it was probably quite late. Her overlong sleep hadn't helped her at all either, even if it'd taken away the lightheaded confusion it only went and made her realize how bad her limbs ached and how exhausted she really was.

She slowly walked to the door and opened it, looking out carefully. The hall was dark and empty and only seemed to go down a flight of stairs. There was another door but she wasn't interested in it. If this was a second floor then it wasn't going to take her where she needed to go, and that was out of here. She moved towards the stairs and grabbed onto the railing, leaning heavily on it as she started descending. It didn't take long to get towards the bottom but she was already winded. At the fourth step from the bottom her grip on the rail slipped and she stumbled forward, falling and hitting the floor several feet below with a muffled thump. She curled into a ball as the wind was knocked from her lungs and let out a low groan. God she was sick of pain.

With a little effort she managed to stand again and put an arm to the wall for support, leaving the other wrapped around her midsection where it hit when she fell. 'Damn it' She thought. This was pathetic. She rounded a darkened corner and found herself in a large living room. She stood motionless for a few moments before walking to a window and looking out. The moon was high and it would be dark for a few hours. Now was a good time to slip away if she was going too. Her stomach grumbled and she sighed before going and sitting in a chair. She was still in her dirty rags and blood clung to the fabric in places but she was careful not to sit to heavily on the chair. Heaven forbid she stain the damn thing. She was tired still and probably hadn't eaten in more then a day....much as she wanted to leave it wasn't a good idea yet, if even a feasible one. As she sat thing she hearda light footstep and turned her head to see who was there.....

Fay
Comfort betrays; allowing one to rest and let their guard down. This is true for Fay as he lay in bed resting from what he would call a long day. However the young girl which he saved could not claim the same. She moved about in a home she has never been to before, for reasons kept to herself. She was alone, taking a seat to more than likely catch her breath from the struggle of walking down stairs after loosing her fever from the day before. However much solitude she bestowed on herself, she was not to be lone for long.

Softly, but surely, steps could be heard approaching the young girl. Stepping into the candle light was a scruffy man wearing leather armor and cotton brown pants. Outside of the silver rapier he had, he was an otherwise harmless looking man.

"Hello miss, is there anything I can help you with?" he asked, taking a seat in a chair not too far away from her.

Jarvis took no immediate offense to the girl being up and out of bed. In fact, he seemed rather calm about it. However, it was obvious that he was watching her carefully. He did not trust her, but was giving her the benefit of the doubt because it would displease Fay if he were to take immediate action against her from suspicion alone. Fay was very picky and wanted things to work very specific ways. If Jarvis did not ensure them to work in those manners in the confines of Fay's home, then there surely would be hell to pay later. In a way, Jarvis did nothing more than shelter and enable Fay.

Zamia heard the footseps and looked up to see Jarvis approach, candle in hand. She gave an emotionless stare at him as he sat near her and asked her if there was anything she needed. She knew Jarvis's kind. He would be Fay's keeper and the closest thing to a friend he had. At the same time Fay was definitely in control. Jarvis was just there to fill the roles of baby sitter and servant, probably tutor as well. She guessed they were close and Fay's father had little time for him. Despite this there probably wasn't anything Jarvis would deny the boy. That being said Jarvis would be paranoid about the boys well being, probably caring more then his actual family did about him. He didn't trust her. That was obvious. Even if she didn't know the mans role she could tell that much just by the way he looked at her.

"No, I doubt you can do anything for me, especially considering your master." She told him , her voice quiet and controlled. She had to get out of here before Fay woke up or something bad was bound to happen. How could she get away from the man? She should've been expecting this , or something like this. Nobles never left themselves un-gaurded, it was simply whether or not they did it or someone else did was the only detail that really mattered. She thought for a moment before deciding to be open with the man, or at least as open as she'd ever willingly be with anyone. "I'm going to leave." She told him, her gaze hard and her tone firm. " If I stay here then i'm just as likely to die as I am get better. You're 'Lord' made that quite clear last night." she said as her thoughts drifted to the last words he'd spoken the night before floating through her mind as she blacked out.

"I don't intend to take anything and I don't plan on returning......now, will you LET me leave?" She asked him, doubt entering her voice. She doubted he would do much of anything without the consent of Fay. Hunger plauged her and she unconsciously reached up and put a hand on her ribs. That fall down the stairs hadn't exactly done her well. She'd have to find somewhere to rest a few days while she recovered.
