Or not, I just got bored so I posted a sandstorm I recently made and haven't used much (on wifi). Tyranitar @ Salac Berry Jolly. 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP. - Roar - Stone Edge - Crunch - Earthquake One of the first pokemon I EV trained, back in the days lol. Roar does works pretty well on her, and she's usually the one I sacrifice to have put to sleep when I know my opponent is going to use hypnosis or spore. Once my opponent has me asleep they get the idea that "Hey, I can set up forever until he wakes up and won't have to worry" until I wake up and use roar. The other 3 attacking moves are pretty obvious. Salac Berry is nice to surprise people with a tyranitar faster than they predicted, and surprisingly it outpseeds quite a bit. Jirachi @ Leftovers Hardy. 252 HP, 156 Sp. Defense, 100 Defense. - Wish - Toxic - U-turn - Protect This Jirachi works very well when paired with my Torterra. Toxic the enemy, then U-turn into torterra, or if torterra needs healing, use wish before using U-turn. In the same way, I could have torterra use leech seed first, then switch to jirachi and poison the enemy and stall. Solrock @ Leftovers Relaxed. 252 HP, 252 Defense - Will-o-wisp - Earthquake - Stealth Rock - Stone Edge A decent physical wall, and in sandstorm it doesn't have to worry about special attacks as much. Will-O-Wisp is nice for burning steel and poison types that can't be poisoned, or for just burning physical sweepers to render them useless. Then Stone Edge and Earthquake are for type coverage. Stealth Rock works well with my jirachi + torterra stall strategy Torterra @ Leftovers Impish. 252 Defense, 100 HP, 156 Attack - Leech Seed - Earthquake - Wood Hammer - Protect A pretty nice Physical wall I'd say. Has decent offense and 2 powerful moves that get STAB, and the recoil from Wood Hammer is restored with leech seed and protect and leftovers. Like I've previously mentioned, it goes well with my Jirachi. the only problem with this Torterra is that it gets walled by Exeggcutor, other pure grass types, etc. Flygon @ Choice Specs Timid. 255 Sp. Attack, 255 Speed - Draco Meteor - Earth Power - Flamethrower - Giga Drain My special sweeper for this team. It doesn't do as well as I'd like, but considering it's the best I have to fit this role right now, it'll have to do. Draco Meteor is it's power move, Earth Power for STAB, Flamethrower and Giga Drain for typer coverage. Lucario @ Focus Sash Modest. 252 Sp. Attack, 156 Speed, 100 Attack - Psychic - Close Combat - Aura Sphere - Dark Pulse Although I don't like focus sash on him much, it's the only way I have to prevent pokemon from killing me when they set up after my Tyranitar is out of the picture. I have no clue what I was thinking when I EV trained this oh so many months ago, but I'm forced to stick with it now. Close Combat on him isn't a OHKO to blissey unfortunately, but it is close. Aura Sphere is it's main power move and serves well for taking out steel types that can't be poisoned, Dark Pulse is for killing ghosts that switch in expecting a fighting type move, and Psychic is for taking out poison types that also can't be poisoned. And last but not least, here is a video showing the team in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CLXJFbDx4s Edited by KRDsonic, Feb 11 2008, 04:38 PM.

no offense dude, but your team fails salac tar:I guess it could be a new thing, but at least use DD over roar solrock:he's good, though I would swap him for blissey jirachi:I would say Zen headbutt, ice punch, wish, and protect/u turn terra:sub over protect,or stealth rock flygon:looks all right, though grass knot>drain and give him scarf lucario:swap sphere for vacuum wave/extremespeed and maybe add a hippodon Edited by neonyoshiegg1408, Feb 22 2008, 04:43 PM.

This is a wifi team, do you know how hard it is to get the IVs and Natures you need for a specific pokemon? As for the Jirachi set you mentioned, this is not Shoddy, you can only get Ice Punch through Emerald Move Tutors. |

Roar on tyranitar is so I don't have people setting up on me so much, and if they happen to attack on the turn I use roar, normally it'll take my health down just enough to activate salac berry. BTW, with that 1 speed boost it outspeeds gengar, starmie, etc. Solrock is a physical wall, why would I replace a physical wall for special wall? o.o For Jirachi, I prefer the support. And I would've given it ice punch if I had the option :/ and mine has a hardy nature too... Flygon: It's too weak to do much as a scarf special sweeper. Specs is the only reason it does at least a little good. Lucario: It takes way too long to breed for egg moves IMO, so I prefer not, that's why it doesn't have vacuumm wave. And from experience, Aura sphere helps a lot more than extreeme speed for me. |
