He has a pale complexion and rather sharp, pointed features. Draco is noted to strongly resemble his father. OCCUPATION Librarian // Wizard HISTORY Draco was born on June 5th, early 1900s, to the prestigious Malfoy wizarding family, first born and only son of Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Black-Malfoy. As to be expected, growing up, Draco was lavished and spoiled by his family, receiving only the best: education, gifts, you name it. Lucius wanted his son growing up to make him proud, to become a powerful, influential heir to the Malfoy name; Narcissa could only want her son to be happy. Naturally, not only was Draco spoiled, but he was also indoctrinated with the normal traditions of a Death Eater family, such as the bigotry against anything that wasn't pureblooded wizard, as is the case in most normal Pureblood families as well. He grew to be condescending, and cruel to anything he considered a lesser being; a snob, for lack of a better word. Reaching age eleven, it was only expected that he was to receive his Hogwarts acceptance letter; the family was ecstatic, of course, his mother herself even taking him out for school shopping, to Diagon Alley, rather than their usual haunt at Knockturn, as it was only his first year. It was in Madame Malkin's that he first, unwittingly, met Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived and his future rival. Unaware of it at the time, he struck up friendly conversation with him, or at least what he thought was friendly, as it made Harry obviously uncomfortable and confused. The two would not meet again until they were on the Hogwarts Express, headed for school. It was here he met Harry once again, along with Ron Weasely, whom he began to mock openly. "You’ll soon find out that some wizarding families are much better than others, Potter. You don’t want to go making friends with the wrong sort. I can help you there." He told Harry, only to, of course, be rejected. Rebuffed, obviously, it was here that their mutual hatred for each other began. Draco was sorted into Slytherin house, just as his father before him, his father's father, etcetera, soon after making friends, more like servants, of Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, fellow Slytherins, all around thugs and morons. His relationship with the infamous Harry Potter became more and more strained, hostile, even going so far as to challenge him to a duel and attempting to get him in trouble for being out of bed out of curfew Now that he was of age, and Voldemort's threat no longer looming over them, Draco left the family roost to find himself, rather his place in this world. A strange part of him wanted to see the outside world, unnaturally curious on how Muggles lived their lives without the convenience of magic. His elitist upbringing is often used as a weapon to belittle those less prosperous than himself. Draco never feels any remorse for his actions; Draco was, in general, an arrogant, snide, elitist bully. For much of his youth, Draco took his father, aristocratic snob and Death Eater Lucius Malfoy, as a role model, and frequently boasted about his family's influence and wealth. However, when threatened with physical violence he is no more than a complete coward. However, Draco is also a talented, clever wizard; he is skilled at Potions, Occlumency, and nonverbal spells. He is possessed of a sarcastic, often cruel wit. He cares very deeply for his family, becoming extremely angry when anyone insults them, and was protective of them when they earned Lord Voldemort’s wrath. ♠ QUIRKS Displays a heightened intelligence expected with someone of his upbringing, though it is often overshadowed by his snarky and brooding attitude. Hey Lucinda. It's cool that you've decided to play Malfoy, but you've pretty much just copied out the info about him from the Harry Potter Wiki. I would very much like to see this bio changed to be in all your own words, and tailored to fit the circumstances of our setting, specifically. |
