I have to say, it's rather suspicious of you to say that just before a murderer's cooldown ends, Revixy-san. I don't know if you intend to hide in the shadows and attack when a sheep leaves the herd or if you yourself will end up being that sheep, but I ask you to please reconsider that action. It just doesn't seem wise to me.

Also, I'd like to ask the Territory Lord whether all the clues the detective found before her untimely demise have been made public.

The Witch Hunter already lurks the shadows, so he will not lead the herd.

That leaves only you Toipilas to direct those that err in the mist. If you suspect Revixy, why do you not trigger the voting for him? You felt a corpse was yet alive, but you did not dare to go so far as to prod it. Now you feel a vessel is a murderer, but you do not dare a capture?

To be honest, it seemed more like an elaborate kill by the Golden Witch to me. Like they'd force Revixy-san to say that and then, some time later, kill them. Considering what happened with Orica, I wouldn't call such a murder impossible in this game. Maybe the witch tried to kill in a way that had been hinted a bit before it happened and then make us despair for not realizing it. My motivation was to stop such a thing from happening.

As I said earlier, there isn't really anyone I suspect at this moment. However, since no-one else seems to want to start the voting, I'll do it. I'd like to warn you all, though: This vote is not based on reasoning. It is based solely on the fact that there's a small possibility I'll hit the culprit randomly, with luck. In a way, this vote carries no meaning other than the wish for a miracle.

Having said that, I vote to confine EnvyChan. If anyone of you is suspecting someone, please make your suspicions public and vote for that person. Otherwise we'll never catch the culprit.

I'll follow my lantern's intuition and vote for EnvyChan aswell.

However.. Something new will happen that we may not stop.

Another glorious morning is on it's eve.. It's time!

Well, technically I'm just trying to stop people from wandering into the forest either of their own will or because nobody has heard of them for almost 48 hours :P

VOTE COUNT
EnvyChan: 2 Votes (Toipilas, Fuuinashi)

While the Golden Witch would surely be able to control others through magic, to make this game fair, The Golden Witch cannot control other players.

All clues the Detective gathered before her untimely demise were lost along with her life as she had not written them down. The dead are dead, and their findings will remain in purgatory.

Earth to earth. ......These final moments are told only because they were allowed by you.

Quote:

Neko was enjoying a nice dinner in silence, a silence broken by a cough, her cough. The cough worsened and worsened, becoming painful. Blood was leaking from her mouth. Neko tried to stand, but her legs were shaking, and she fell to the floor. A figure walked in and sootd before her. The culprit waited, watching. Neko tried to call out, but her last strength left her.

Neko-chan died on October 5th, 7:22PM.

Unaccording to the Witch's Epitaph, another one of us has passed. While the Golden Witch kills with elegance, the True Culprit murders for blood. The obvious culprit has wielded his blade again.

As there is no Detective to examine the body, let me give you a hand. Neko-chan was a roleless Vessel.

Summi's innocence is proven, and is therefore released from his confinement. Let it be known that two confinement slots are empty.

The next death will be on you.

AGH IT'S A NEKO-CHAMBIE D:

Aw, I was so certain she'd be the Witch of Theatregoing, Drama and Spectatorship. What with all that talk about staying in the sidelines. Glad they're still alive, though. (a bit less glad if they manage to promote TC to witchdom, though. 8|) Sorry for not being able to save you, Neko-chan. Also sorry for helping imprison you even though you were innocent, Summi-san.

Just yet another recap of my so-called reasoning so far: There were 13 of us in the beginning, of those half were witches and half were vessels. So 6 witches and 7 vessels or 7 witches and 6 vessels. By now, since one vessel has been promoted, there are (counting the dead people as well) either 7 witches and 6 vessels or 8 witches and 5 vessels. 2 witches and 2 vessels have died. In other words, the w/v ratio is 5/4 or 6/3. One witch has revealed his powers: there are 8 people to suspect. Of these 8 either 4 or 3 could possibly be the culprit. (well technically 7 people since one probably shouldn't suspect themselves of being the killer. If you do, please make your suspicions public so that you may be contained~ 83)

Uhh... as to what to do with that information, I have no idea whatsoever. :I I'd just like to ask all witches to guard your vessels closely? If you have any suspicions, please make them known. We can't solve these murders if we just stop thinking and don't even try!

Agh, I feel like I'm being led around by the True Culprit (and the witch, but I'm going to let that slide for now since there are more pressing matters at this moment). I don't know if my theories have been so far from the truth they don't see me as a threat or if they find me a nice scapegoat.

Still waiting for EnvyChan to appear again. Hopefully alive. :<

It seems that my fellow witches and vessels have all fled to the woods, where they will be picked off one after another.

Oh the woeful fate of humanity. Only together do you stand a chance versus the evil that consumes you, yet you would abandon each others to your fates and run separate paths in the forest of death. A sad destiny that you chose, Rokkenjima.

As the Witch Hunter and the Golden Witch are still active, they now each have a new spare move before the Culprit strikes again. However, only the Witch Hunter holds the ending where you may all return to your regular lives, and he must tackle the mystery of the Golden Witch before he may even consider saving you from the bloodlust of man. That means the Culprit is quite ahead of the Witch Hunter in terms of victory. I believe without some help, we may aswell consider the Witch Hunter's efforts as already negated.

As you humans have abandoned yourselves to the dark forest, so too did I lose my hope to save you. I shall not lead you to victory, so do not expect a savior.

If you want to hold onto your mortal coils, I suggest you do some group movements quite fast. But that will be hard, scattered through the forest as you already are.

Therefore if there are some mortal souls who are not yet crushed by fear and cowardice, I'd invite you to speculate with Toipilas and possibly attempt at building a defense with her. Toipilas should be the De Facto coordinator of your survival efforts for she is the only one who attempts at clearing the storm.

(Psssht, I'm a he ;P Just channeling a certain character here because she's a lot more awesome than I could ever hope to be. I knew I should've picked Battler but that guy can be so annoyingly incompetent. Not saying that I'm not just that right now, though xD)

I forgot in the last post that we naturally shouldn't suspect Summi-san anymore either. :P So there're 7 possible True Culprits on this island - only one of them being actual, of course. If we can confine two of them until the culprit's cooldown ends, there's a good chance we'll hit the jackpot. But as I've said, there's no way for me to do it alone and so far all I could have got done is vote for random people because of hunches and whatnot, which is obviously not the best way to do that. So all you Killer Game -veterans, please. We need your expertise now.

If there are elements in this game you don't quite understand, forget about them. Concentrate on what you are experienced with. Do not mind the witch for now, aim to catch the True Culprit. The game might seem confusing, but it's basically just got two different levels inside it. If you ignore one of the levels, the game isn't any more difficult than a regular Killer Game. Don't stop thinking! I know you're more familiar with this stuff far better than I am, now is the time to show your skills! Even you, Witch Hunter-san! There's no way for you to dispel the Illusion of the Witch if you're dead, is there?! Help us defeat the True Culprit and you can challenge the witch with an army!

Right then, internet up, reading up, caught up, which means...

I shall dive with you! If I am only a sacrificial lamb to draw out the True Culprit or the Golden Witch, then I will have done enough

RayRay has remained incredibly silent throughout the game. Their last contribution was nothing but a simple vote added onto the pile to confine Summi. That was back when we had only one confinement slot. Confining Summi at the time would have filled up the confinement slots, and without a detective to declare an early release, RayRay would've secured a certain 48 hours where they could not be confined. For that, I suspect RayRay

Kumaroar has not strongly contributed, but neither has she left. She stands at the back, mostly watching. For that, I suspect Kuma, however I suspect RayRay more

I will merely vote for Envychan for the time being. Better to threaten somebody with confinement than nobody if we are ever to progress, and I will leave you with my suspicions

The most important revelation currently is that Toipilas is in fact a he. That's one less person whose pronouns I need to worry about

Edit: Upon glancing back I noticed that Kuma also hastened to vote for Summi after the detective was killed

Glad to know not all of us are trying to hide from the killers in the woods. :3

RayRay-san is somewhat of an enigma to me. They haven't really been vocal enough for me to form any kind of an image of them. That sure is suspicious, and you raise a good point with his voting. After Orica's actual death, by the way, their hypothesis was that the kill could've been "a distraction to let us think there are 2 killers, while it's the same person", something I assume the killer would want us to believe. I'm unsure whether this is really that suspicious or just a coincidence, though.

Kumaroar should be suspicious for the same reason, but... I can't really suspect her of being the True Culprit right now. Mainly because of (no offense, Kuma-senpai! :<) my doubts as to her ability to use the English language on the level the True Culprit seems to. I'd suspect the True Culprit to have some experience with these games, and maybe some with Umineko.

However, this raises a question to the Territory Lord: Are the death causes exact quotations of the PM in question, or have you in any way "cleaned" either the language or Umineko-lore in them? It wouldn't seem all that improbable considering how you changed the place Orica 'died' in after the 'death' was announced... Though unlike the other deaths, that one had no sign of quotation whatsoever so I guess it may never have really been the Golden Witch's move after all. How much help has been given to TC and GW in general?

I would also like to point out yet again how the True Culprit has apparently made all their kills just as their cooldown has ended, whereas the Golden Witch has, appropriately for her character, been a lot more capricious with their timing. Considering how little I know of you guys, though, this doesn't really help my reasoning personally, at all. :b Maybe it could be of some use to someone better acquaintanced with the other players.

Oh and just a little more off-topic: One of the reasons I love the Finnish language so much is how it only has gender-neutral pronouns. Dear god those make many online conversations so much less awkward.

Also, this post in particular can be at parts very incoherent since it's almost 3 in the morning over here and I should be sleeping but cannot seem to be able to. So naturally I should try to reason and form my thoughts into sentences exactly right now. :p I also seem to have something against commas right now, so the abuse they have had to endure during this post's writing is almost inhumane.

The deaths are supposed to be exactly as they're left in the quotes, the Territory Lord won't clean or alter them in any way.

The True Culprit probably has no assistance from the Territory Lord at all, atleast not in the way the Golden Witch does.

The Golden Witch also weaves her own tale, but I believe She and the Territory Lord communely work together onto some kind of plot.

Very good observations, Subter and Toipilas.

I'll throw a vote onto RayRay aswell, to support you guys.

The TC's kills are left exactly as is. The Golden Witch is sending her death causes in the form of poems, which are exactly copy pasted. The first closed room, the riddle was mine and the Witch hasn't made a riddle since. Communicating with witches is a hard thing to do, so I have little control over what happens at this point.

One request: If the interested parties could tally the votes themselves, and mention if someone has been lost in the woods, that would be appreciated. I am not in a position where it is easy for me to check these things.

Gouda was saddened. Every time he wanted to be useful to his loved guests, he stumbled upon a tragedy. "No more tea!", he proclaimed, expecting no one to die should he refuse to make his brew. Yet, one guest asked for a simple glass of water. He figured, a simple glass of water surely wouldn't result in someone's passing.

Yet, there she was, with a ring on her finger from the recently accepted proposal, Envychan. A letter was fouind near the corpse:

Quote:

It's drowning in confusion,
It's lost in an illusion,
Are you sick of this intrusion,
Deep inside your head?

Is it kicking and screaming,
Is it flying, is itdreaming,
You will be crying and I will be beaming,
Until you wish you were dead.

You're hurting and bleeding,
You're crying and you're pleading,
Are you lost and not succeeding,
While my dark heart full of dread.

"Envychan was found dead in a corner. Her face was covered in blood, one eye missing"

Envychan died on October the 5nd, 9:42PM.

Rest in peace, my dearest wife.

Envychan was a Witch, with the title of 'Witch of Theatergoing, Drama and Spectating'.
She did not have a role.

Have you heard of the Witch of Miracles? She is an extremely powerful witch that has lived a thousand years. It is said that she lives in a world where concepts like fate and possibility can be visualized. May you survive long enough for her coming, she could be willing to lend you incompetent fools a hand.

Feeling a bit ill, so decided to skip the ISLAND ADVENTURE after all. :< Guess I've got a cold or something. But hey that means I can be here with you guys, rambling about something which is possibly completely meaningless and won't help us catch the culprits at all! Whoo. My head feels like it's full of flu or eels or snot or something, so I'm not at all positive this post will be in any way comprehensible. I'm doing my best, though, so please try to bear with me, okay?

Posted Image
GODDAMNIT GOUDA! STOP KILLING US! I vote for confining Gouda! He's so suspicious, especially since he must either be a player or something not human considering how it's been said in red that there are no more than eight people alive on this island!

On a more serious note, I found the source of your poem yet again, Golden Witch-san. Isn't that annoying? You went through all that trouble of changing some minor details in it, making harder to find, but I managed to do exactly that. Again. Heh. Will analyze the changes later, though I guess they won't really be all that significant. If someone else feels like doing that, feel free to.

I'm sorry for your death, EnvyChan. And right after you had returned from the forest, too! :( (Well, technically some hours before that but time doesn't really seem to run normally on this gameboard :p) What a pity you didn't have the chance to use your powers, but I guess it's still better that way than you accidentally promoting the True Culprit. :/ One eye missing? That's almost gruesome. I wonder if it's carrying any extra meaning. Just to satisfy my curiosity: Which eye was it?

Just realized Sayuri's death didn't have any quote-tags either. However, if she wasn't killed by either the witch or the true culprit, there's something freaky going on with the cooldowns and the 48-hour rule, as we can see on the timeline:
October the 2nd, 7:22PM - Orica "dies". The game officially begins. Both killers have to kill in 48 hours or they die.
October the 3rd, 6:51PM - The Territory Lord imposes a time limit: Anyone not heard of for 48 hours, dies.
October the 3rd, 7:22PM - Orica dies for real. I'm assuming this murder was done by the True Culprit, trying to imitate the Golden Witch.
October the 4th, 4:48PM - Sayuri-chan dies. This murder is quite problematic. In a way, it looks like neither of the killers were responsible and that Sayuri died because of her inactivity (she hadn't posted once after the first day of the game), but if neither of the killers got a kill out of this, one of them should be dead by now.
October the 4th, 7:22PM - Mara Jade, the detective, dies by the hand of the True Culprit, whom she was investigating at the time. In other words, it would have been impossible for the True Culprit to kill Sayuri-chan as less than 24 hours have passed after her death!
October the 5th, 7:22PM - Neko-chan dies. The killer is the True Culprit.
October the 5th, 9:42PM - EnvyChan is killed by the Golden Witch.

If the Golden Witch killed Orica on October the 3rd, 7:22PM, they wouldn't be able to kill Sayuri-chan at the time she died, because there's less than 24 hours between the kills. If the Golden Witch didn't kill Sayuri-chan, there's more than 48 hours between her kills (from October the 3rd, 7:22PM to October the 6th, 9:24PM). In other words, Orica must have been killed by the True Culprit and Sayuri-chan by the Golden Witch. That means the True Culprit has killed three times and the Golden Witch either two or three - depending on whether the first closed room was a kill or not. According to the lack of red about it and the Territory Lord admitting the riddle was his, I'm going to assume it didn't count as a kill because no-one died.

Voting for RayRay as well, as I apparently forgot to do that in the last post.

Thanks for clearing that stuff about the kills up, by the way. Sorry I'm always concentrating on some irrelevant minutiae in the rules. :b
