Fuuinashi-san! Don't stop thinking! You shouldn't just give up thinking like that! To doubt the possibility of solving these mysteries is the same as to doubt the rules of this game itself, as to doubt the sincere feelings of the hearts of both the witch and the Territory Lord! The Golden Witch may be 'here' tonight, but if we figure out the witch's goals and stop them from achieving them, they won't fully revive, the storm will pass, and we just might be able to leave this island alive. Our only chance is to tackle the mysteries with all our power, all our heart.
That's quite inspiring. Out of all of us, you are the expert on Witches and their Designs. We've yet to speculate on the desires of the Golden Witch. Who or what exactly is the Golden Witch seeking to eliminate, and what will she gain from that action?

I find this game to be very confusing as it's extremely hard to state absolute truths as they were intended. Not to mention that basically anything in the game can be ignored as it very well could mean nothing, except for things written in red. I'm not sure this game is for me, too many variables, too few actual facts. xP

That was my exact thoughts too! There are strong investigative minds around however, so I'm leaving the discovery of new evidence up to them. If you suspect anything though NF or if you believe an element requires some clearing up, let me know and I'll gladly work on it with you.

Also, to all the killers about, I believe Saku is the second body of The Detective, and both probably need to be eliminated for the Detectives to be whiped.

It's a bit hard to tell, yet. It could be just a coincidence the one who was killed happened to be on the top of the player list, but that's the only clue I can find right now. Then again, she has pretty much nothing to gain until we get a clearer idea - magic works a bit like gambling. The bigger the risk, the bigger the payoff. Right now it's not very probable we'll guess what s/he's aiming at, so it's not all that easy to stop her. However, that also means it's not very risky for her and thus the payoff at this moment would be minimal. We have been promised more hints, though, and I for one am going to naively believe in that promise and wait for them. :b

Also, "people" wanted Orica dead? As in multiple persons? That really sounds like
A) "Someone somewhere sometime maybe wished she were dead so I'm going to say this in red so that everyone'll get confused and think it means something"
or
B) the last kill was done by the True Culprit, after all. (or both!)
And of course it was exactly 24 hours after the first death so if the TC kills someone another just as their cooldown runs out, it'll look like they killed someone just before they died because of the 48hour-rule (which doesn't seem to be in the rules themselves, though, so who knows.)! (That sentence was a grammatical trainwreck. I apologize to any native English speakers for violating their language like that.)

Oh, and I'm so close to the Final Answer, I actually found it on Youtube! Hur hur I amuse myself.

As today's October 4th, I can't think of a better opportunity to reveal The Epitaph and with it the one clue to the Witch's goal. This high concentration of magic will also surely grant the individual with the least anti-magic toxins a new ability.

So much confusion on the murders, yet a few are shining bright in the middle. There is something important everyone is forgetting and ignoring, though. Among you humans, one is evil. The Golden Witch can't stop this evil. For now, let me give you the following advice:

Only anti-fantasy can deal with fantasy.
Leave the fantasy to itself.
Humans can only be dealt with by humans.

Before challenging the King, you will have to deal with the Queen. I expect progress when I return later today, children of men.

So many posts... and so many confusing reds...

"people" wanted Orica dead... sounds to me more like... The GW and the TC wanted her dead :))
So either Orica was killed by the GW and the TC... or she was killed by the GW and the GW again :)) Either way... someone has the ability to kill right now.

Aw, no more challenging witches for us? Guess I should know my place. :< I'll leave staking the witch to you, then, Witch Hunter-san. I hope my ramblings have been of any help~ And welp, I guess concentrating on the traditional part of this game for now could stop people from losing heart and make them more active! I feel like I'm just going on about nothing important all by myself here. :b

Since only one person is dead and we have two killers who both must kill every 48 hours, either both the first "death" and the latter death count as kills and both killers have thus killed once, or one of them hasn't killed anyone and is going to expire this evening. Guess we'll only find out what will happen when it actually happens, though. I wonder what would happen if a killer managed to kill someone the exact second their time ran out?

By the way, Detective-san: I hope you remembered to put someone under surveillance last night. It would be interesting to hear whom you monitored, but obviously you're not going to reveal yourself. Thank you for being here with us, though. Surely we would have no chance without you.

Hum. Personally, I think the silent people (...who seem to be the majority, though) are a bit suspicious, but then again maybe the rules really are that confusing. Go figure. :/

By request, I've added the revealed abilities to the first post. Click on the spoiler tag to see them. With that, I reveal the following ability:

THE WITCH OF THEATERGOING, DRAMA AND SPECTATORSHIP
One who enjoys the game from the sidelines and speculates for their own amusement. They can interfere if the game bores them.

Will be able to graduate a vessel to the status of a witch, and think of an ability for them. The ability has to be approved by the Territory Lord.

Today is October 4th. A day that will mean a lot to some of you, yet absolutely nothing to others. I'm afraid that with it's coming, I bring bad news.

As the ever loyal servant, Gouda wanted to check up on Sayuri from the foyer. He heard the other guests talking about her, how she grew silent after her close friend's death. Some were afraid she would wander in the forest and become lost forever. Gouda wouldn't let this happen. He would solve all her problems by TEA. Yes. Gouda's tea had magical powers, after all. Healing powers, like the warmth of your partner's hand on your forehead.

Could you imagine his shock when he already found a cup in her hand? And possibly even worse, she was laying motionless on the ground! In her other hand, the one not holding the rival cup, he found a letter addressed by the Golden Witch:

There stands death
a black distillate in a waitresses leftover coffee cup
the only answer when even the echo does not reply

There stands death
a masked figure whose face you cannot see
black hooded wretch who beckons come with me

There stands death
reaching out for you with both hands
While you do not dare take a single breath

As a child i played hide and seek
While hiding i heard my breath
thinking
Death is hide and seek
Never being found
ever again
There stands death

Only a fool would not understand what has happened here and call this a closed room.
Yet, Sayuri's cup contained hint traces of magic.

Sayuri-chan died on October the 4nd, 4:48PM.

Rest in peace, energetic youth.

Examining the body, it was found out that Sayuri-Chan was a Witch, with the title of Protection Demon. She did not hold a role. Her ability was the following:

PROTECTION DEMON
Has the ability to protect anyone from any situation, even death.

Can use their ability to protect someone from TC's kills, but not the GW's. Has to pick someone to protect once per day. They cannot protect themselves.

Hey, another copy-paste poem! (couldn't help but laugh out loud at the name of the poet. how appropriate. maybe the golden witch is male. or wants us to believe she is.)

Since it's been less than 24 hours since Orica's death, I guess this more or less proves that she (Orica, that is) was killed by the True Culprit. Guess we have a few hours before they can strike again, then. And, uh... at least we know that Sayuri-chan is really dead. Could the detective examine her corpse? Considering this death's backstory, maybe she poisoned herself.

Voting for Summi as well, even though I'm not really suspecting anyone of being TC above anyone else right now. Maybe we'll get lucky. :b

EDIT: Or maybe Gouda's the golden sorcerer! Sauceror.

Earth to earth. ......These final moments are told only because they were allowed by you.

Quote:

Mara Jade was gazing out a window of the house, watching the garden outside. A swift blow to the back of her head by a lamp left her in a daze. MJ was unable to defend herself as the culprit opened the window and dropped her out. Too dazed to react properly, she landed on her head, breaking her neck, killing her instantly.

Mara Jade died on October 4th, 7:22PM.

Let it be said! For once, the culprit is not incompetent! Ahahahaha!
You see, the culprit was being investigated by the Detective. Too bad she apparently lost track of him, allowing him to sneak up. Yes, Mara Jade was the Detective! Not only that, she also held the title of Witch of Origins. With this, the furniture Sakutarou disappears before he could show us his true potential.

Now we have two killers and no saviours. What does this mean for the innocents?

Ahh, how troublesome. Someone's messing up my game board. This isn't supposed to happen at all! Guess I'll have to fix this error. I am the Territory Lord after all, ihihihi.

Oh. Damn. With the detective gone, we truly have... no hope.

Well, I guess moping around would be about just as useful as just surrendering. May you have pleasant dreams, Detective-san. I hope we will meet again. And farewell, Sakutarou. If only there was a witch with the ability to resurrect someone... But such power is rare, and obtaining it would require a miracle at the least.

Considering the time of death... Every kill the True Culprit has committed has happened exactly at 7:22 PM. Because of that, I'm assuming that either they are rather eager to kill, doing it the moment their cooldown has ended... or that the murders have been planned in advance. If they have been planned in advance, who knows how much before the actual kill they have been done? Maybe we shouldn't focus on Mara Jade's recent behaviour, but her behaviour at least a couple of hours ago. Naturally, her latest moves might shed some light to the mystery, as well. Intriguing, however, how there was no fake letter from the witch this time. Guess the culprit decided not to imitate the witch any longer.

Mara Jade had the culprit under surveillance tonight? It may not be in red, but it may be true and if it is... That's an eerie coincidence. Especially so when you consider how the True Culprit is but a human, and thus shouldn't have any supernatural abilities. Could it be that someone has ascended to witchdom yet we were not informed? Or maybe there's a witch among us with an ability to find out roles, who has trusted their vessel a bit too much. It'd be rather frightening if the Golden Witch was in contact with the True Culprit, but I guess we shouldn't deny that possibility either.

(Funny coincidence, how the player list looks right now. I'd suggest you to be very careful tomorrow evening, Fuuinashi-san. Unless of course, if there is no reason for you to beware...?)

Oh good, I was going to ask FW for a second confinement slot, and now I don't have to!

The new poem isn't altered, so I won't waste my time reading into it. If someone else wants to, they can

We're down both a detective and Sakutarou. MJ suspected the silent ones and voted for Summi, but Summi is confined now

Kumaroar has been awfully quiet, but I'll hold onto my vote for now

Toipilas has been on top of things, maybe too much so? At first I thought Toipilas might be the detective, making it so obvious that it couldn't be true, but now that the detective is dead, I have no clue what to think.
