This thread is simple! Just post the last movie you watched, and give us a little review of it! Allow me to give you an example: Primer: A very indie film from a few years back (it was made for only $7000), and easily the most confusing movie I've seen this side of Holy Mountain or El Topo. It tells the story of two friends who accidentally create a time machine in their garage, and like any good scifi movie, eventually begin to misuse it. I won't spoil any of the plot for you, since part of the fun of this movie is unraveling the insanely hard to follow plot. It's surprisingly realistic, and very logical. My only complaint is that it is very deliberate in it's pacing, and can drag at the beginning. I won't ruin anything else, but needless to say, this is a movie you need to watch multiple times to even come close to understanding. 8/10 ( 5/10 if you hate puzzles) Okay, they don't need to be that long, but you get the point! Now get to it! |

Resident Evil Degeneration I'm sure most video game fans have heard about this movie. The latest in the RE franchise is an entirely CG movie and I must say it's not half bad. Decent action, decent story, and decent cheesy-ass flashback scenes. Pretty good movie if you get the hankerin' for a zombie movie which I was when I watched it. My only complaint was I wish there were more regular zombie sequences 'cause the ones they had were quite awesome. But I suppose most normal people can only tolerate so much regular zombie action. But if you the type of person that hates zombie movies, then obviously this isn't a movie for you. TL;DR: If you're a zombie nut, it's pretty good. If not, then skip it. 7/10 |

The Spirit I love movies based on comic books, but this one could of been done better. I mean the characters were cool and everything, but it just lacked the story. Now, I will say that I never read the books, but if they went anyway that the movie went they may just be rubbish. Each character acted like they were in some kind of school play in some of the scenes. One of the only redeeming qualities of the movie was the fights. They were real, gritty, fun, silly and epic all rolled into one. All I can say is bad showing and hopefully if they make a second, change it for the better 4/10 |

Hooooly balls The Spirit was a horrible movie. In fact it was so horrible that by the second half it was pure entertainment laughing at how bad it was. The first twenty minutes were unbearable and I almost walked out if it wasn't for my sister. As for the comics it's based off of, it shares no similarities. Besides the name and four characters, nothing else is the same. Honestly Frank Miller butchered it. He hasn't written anything good in a long time (ie All-Star Batman and Robin, google it. Read the iMockery site). If you want to do the series justice read the reboot of the franchise by the artist Darwyn Cook. Purely an enjoyable read. And yeah I got a little angry with the movie. Really had high hopes for some reason so I'm a little bitter =P |

Same here Taro. The only good thing about the movie was Sam Jackson, but I'm a Sam Jackson fanboy. Apart from that it had nothing to offer (well it did have extra hotness from Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johanson). It was a near travesty. And why was it in Sin City 2.0 black and white? The bloody comic was full color! |

Hmm... Review the last movie I watched... Honestly? The Notebook yeah I'm serious, I just watched this movie for the first timee. Let me tell you, I usually HATE sappy movies, only watched it because my sister forced me to. I don't know if there is much of a point in reviewing because apparently "everyone's seen the notebook", so I'm sure my opinion won't change much but oh GAWSH was that a beautiful movie. A couple re-united, and, in old age the love is still loyal. Had me balling like a baby the whole time. 8/10 would have given it a 10/10 if not for the couple falling in such a deep love over the summer. Unrealistic, and the reason teen girls do not have a logical view on relationships, love, and reality! bah-hum-bug! haha. still brilliant, made me not fear old-age as much<3 -added feminine touch to this thread?- |

The Dark Knight (I only saw this when it was still in theaters. And yes, it was the last movie I've seen. I don't watch many movies. XD) I'm gonna be honest, the last time I was huge into Batman I was still in elementary school. A lot of my peers had that "it's for babies" attitude towards it, and being the kid I was, you know. Well I remember when Batman Begins came out, I still haven't seen that one to this day, but I heard some good things about it, but nobody was all like "OMG this movie is PHENOMENAL!!!" Well then skip a few years, shortly after Heath Ledger's death is when I heard he was playing The Joker in TDK. In a way I still had a bit of that same feeling from growing up, but then I was curious to see it because of Ledger. I'd never imagined him playing such a role, I almost had to see it. Next thing I knew I was walking out of the theater months later imitating his role, glad that I went to see the movie... But enough babbling, time for review. XD I have to say that this movie totally changed my views on Batman in general. The big difference between this and the movies I grew up with (Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman and Robin), this movie took a much darker, more epic approach, which was what had me enthralled about it. The overall plot was genius, you had no idea what was to come next (specifically what The Joker was going to do next). My biggest complaint is, of course, Nathan Bail's Batman-voice. At some points it sounded rather retarded (probably the best word I can use to describe it). If he would've been less raspy it probably would've sounded better. And another minor complaint, Two-Face had a very short-lived role in this movie. The first time Harvey Dent flipped the coin early on I had a feeling he'd make an appearance as Two-Face. Unfortunately they didn't put him in long enough. I'm kind of hoping he'll be in a sequel if they make one. Overall, despite my complaints, it was probably the best movie I've seen in forever. If you're looking for a good plot with lots of suspense, watch this. 9.9/10 |
