Posts: 4 Group: Members Member #3 Joined: Oct 15, 2008	So, i'm pretty much just remaking my old character from 14th division with minor changes. Copy-paste powers! activate! i'll try to be a little more active, and by that i mean actually do something in role-playing. Stats: Strength: Medium Kido: Medium Reiatsu: Very High Speed: Mid-high Appearance: Structure: Slim, tall, really lanky... and hairy Hair: dark-brown, something like a semi-fro. also, trying to grow mutton chops. Eyes: greenish-gray Age: 17 Clothes: Wears uniform differently than normal, outside of official functions. Usually wears it with the top open and with a regular plain shirt under it. also likes to wear sunglasses and a silver necklace. Personality: Usually quiet and stays out of the way, but can be very lively in the open. Cares very deeply about others. The kind of guy who doesn't realize his own strength. Follows two rules in battle, or any challenge: "1. Never concede unless victory is impossible. 2. Victory is NEVER impossible" Zanpakutou name: Saint Peter release phrase: "Shine upon us, light of faith!" Shikai description: a biblical reference, actually. It's a straight blade, with two "arms" outstretched near the hilt, and a gem in the intersection. Shikai abilities: Energy Waves: light extends from the Zanpaku-to when swung, or thrusted Speed increase: what does it sound like? i move faster, other acrobatic skills and reflexes improve dramatically as well Healing: Wounds I receive heal crazy fast, as long as i'm not totally dismembered or something. Bankai description: A white, glowing phoenix emerges from the blade, with gold marking on it's head and wings (kind of like tribal tattoos) it doesn't look intimidating, but it breaths an undousable holy fire (which i have dubbed "judgement flame") that burns the wicked and strengthens the righteous! he looks like an ordinary white bird to most people, but reveals his true form to those he trusts. if he looks like a white bird to you, run. those flames hurt. if you want him to trust you, try offering him cookies, crackers, or metallica CDs. Bankai Abilities: Judgement Flame: mentioned above Mind link: the bird responds to my thoughts, if i need it to. otherwise, it acts on its own. it's also our only way to communicate. He MAY be able to talk to others with it, but he doesn't feel like trying. others bore him. Flight: not really an ability, just an idea i like to use it lifts me up with it's talons and can fly me around. Poop: yeah, that's what it does. he craps on people sometimes, if he thinks its funny. y'know how hot dog crap is when you feel it through a plastic bag? pheonix crap is like 50 times worse. for the less knowledgeable about the Christian faith, i'll just quick explain the Shikai design. I wasn't particularly excited about training the students at the academy, but it came with the job. I always ended up doing grunt work. Not that I was particularly bad, I just didn't mind getting the short end of the stick as much as others did. How did i get where I am now? don't worry, it'll come up later. "I know that for some of you, this is your first time in the human world. Don't worry about it, we'll come back as soon as we're done here. Basic instructions apply: You're to divide into groups of three across the area, I'll release dummy hollows in your directions. You're to report to me when you're done with them. Otherwise, I don't wanna see your face unless there's an emergency, got it?" "Yes, sir!" It felt good having them all under my command, but I just wanted to send them on their way and be done with it. "Begin!" Most picked their groups and ran off, after that, but one student, a young girl, stayed behind. "Umm, mr. Valkyr?" "Question? just call me Valkyr, please." "You... don't recognize me do you?" "Can't say I do." "I believe you're the one who performed Konso on me right after I died." "Oh. well, trust me, after a few years, you stop remembering things like that." "I, uh, just wanted to say thanks." "Your welcome... umm..." "Oh! my name's Sarah." "Sarah, right. You should be grateful, not a lot of people get to thank the shimigami who performed konso on them. I 'm not even sure who it was that performed it on me. Now go on, you should get with your group." "uhh, right!" After she left, I released the dummies. Waiting for them to get done is the boring part about these things. i got bored out of my mind, and decided to take a nap. I started hearing voices: "Ah, crap, he didn't killed by it, did he?" "I dunno, kick him or something" Unlucky for those students, I'm a total spaz for the first five seconds after I wake up. I grabbed the foot coming at my face, lifted the rest of him up and brought him down hard on the other side of me." "What the fffff..... rig' are you doing? Did you finish the dummies, wait where's the third member of your group?" "That's it, sir. It's Sarah, she was-" "Sarah?" "You know her?" "...kind of. What happened?" "One of the dummy hollows got away, she went after it. and she hasn't come back! we heard screams! We think there might be a real hollow back there." "dammit. Alright, tell all the students that come back to stay here. Where did this happen?" "A warehouse a little while West... Wait, sir?" "What, dammit!" "Do you have anything for my face? You kinda scratched it up." "Who are you supposed to be? That gay guy from squad 11? You!" I said to his partner "yes, sir?" "If you fix his face for me, you get extra credit." "Deal!" I ran off to where they had told me and could definitely feel Sarah's reiatsu. I came to where it felt strongest, inside some old warehouse. I found her unconscious on the ground. She didn't seem badly hurt though. A dummy couldn't have done this, and if it were a real hollow, why hadn't it finished her off? I woke her up. "Hey, you alright?" "Wha... oh, Valkyr." "You're not hurt, are you?" "A little bit, I'll be fine." "c'mon, i'll help you back, okay? How did you get hurt?" "It- It was nothing. I just had trouble with the dummy." "dummies can't really hurt you. something else happened." "It was nothing! Besides, its not important, right? I'm fine." She seemed pretty shaken up, I felt pretty bad. I decided to let it drop and just be nice until we got back. "So," I asked, "Why did you decide to become a shimigami?" "I... I guess I wanted to do what you did for me. I remember how it felt to come to the soul society. i... wanted to share that with everyone." "hm, awfully romantic, most people join it more for the hollow-bashing." "Is that why you joined?" "No... it was something else. When I came to the soul society, I tried to find my grandfather, who had died before me, for a while. Eventually, I realized it was pointless to try to find him. So I decided to make it easy for him to find me. I'd become a great shimigami, word would spread about me, and he'd try to find me." "Have you found him yet?" "No luck." "i... hope you find him... someday." She was starting to cry. My story isn't that sad, is it? "What's wrong?" "...I'm sorry" "Is this about the test? Hey, don't worry, you'll be able to take it again." "Not that, I-" "It's about time you brought him to me!" another, monstrous voice called. A huge spider-like hollow came at me from the side, hitting me hard into a wall. "Shine upon us, light of faith!" i cried, releasing my shikai. "So, how did you get her to lure me here?" "Simple really, I threatened to eat her family if she didn't. She's so gullible." "Valkyr!" Sarah yelled, "I'm so-" "Don't worry about it, just get out of here!" "No!" She tried to attack the hollow, and got knocked aside as well. "Ah," the hollow sighed, "I hate knocking around amateurs, they're too easy and they never taste good. Hmm, should I eat you first or should I save the best for last." "I'm not going to let you touch either of us you bastard. There's no way you could have known who or where her family was." "But it worked. Didn't it? Now, I get to finish off my hunt for you!" "Finish me off? Wait, now I know who you are. You're the hollow that tried to eat me before I was konso'd. Figured that shimigami would have finished you off." "Who? Ah, him. The one who stopped me from finishing my prey. If I recall, he said he called you his grandson." "He... what?" "Yes, he said 'you won't hurt my grandson!' ha! well, you'll soon join him in my stomach!" "YOU!!" I slashed at his head and felt a surge of pain. I looked down, his front leg and impaled me. "Fool. Rage makes every target easier. I thought you'd go a little longer without losing your cool. Oh well." Was this it? Was I going to die? I couldn't heal fast enough to stop this wound, and all he was doing was toying with me, skewered on his leg. I felt things go black. Then I heard another voice. Lighter, more calming. "Come on. You're not gonna die like this are you?" "W-who's there?" "You're Zanpaku-tou, Saint Peter. Don't you recognize my voice? You want to avenge your grandfather, right?" "Was hoping I could get around to that, yes. He died because he was trying to save me, I must repay him." "Alright then, you'll have to release me entirely of course." "Can I really do that?" "only one way to find out." "Ban... ban... BANKAI!!!" A glorious white bird flew from the blade. It backed off, "Don't worry my friend, this won't hurt a bit. To you anyway." It blew fire from its mouth, I braced myself for the heat, but it actually felt good, I regained consciousness and slid myself off of its leg. Inch by inch. The wound healed almost instantly, I got ready to fight again. But the hollow was actually screeching in pain. I shot forth a holy light from my sword, and struck its head clean in half. It disappeared. My grandfather had been avenged. "Excellent job, friend. Why don't I carry you and her back?" Since that day, I've carried out my duties as a shimigami with twice the determination. Even if he couldn't meet him, I would make my grandfather proud.
