Just to make sure it's clear. To run for president, you have to run for chairman of your party? When you want to run for chairman, you put up your platform stuff in the elections forum correct? |

I don't see why people complain. The primaries are pretty much the same except we are calling it chairman instead of nominee. It is basically the same. And I do not understand why people complain about the new parliamentary system. It gives us a chance to have some real opposition and it makes it tougher to form a government. In other words: it's more fun

OK, quick question. In our WR you said we needed to elect an acting chairman and leader. The elections that are about to take place, is that outside the acting. As are we internally determining our actin leader and chair, and then having open elections for the permanent chairman and eventually president at the end of that? I ask because their is confusion in the Dem. I wanted to run for the permanent Chairman position as there had already been some noms for the acting chairman. I was under the impression that we need to do both since this is the start of the game and we are in 08 and there are elections this fall in 08. So the acting would serve until the GE this fall in 08 correct? So we'd still need to do the public campaigning for the "primary" for CHair? It is vital we know this as it wasn't explained well and we have to go off interpretations and assumptions |

What we were told in our war room is that the acting chair was there just to handle organzation and motions and such till the full election could be done. So you need to do both. |

Basically, the "acting Chair" is just a an organizational thing, and gives nobody a leg up and they have to run like everybody else for the actual Chairmanship. |

Do you have to be 35 to become a chairman, or do you only need to be a senator? |
