Fuck Yeah

The air was cool, and New Haven was moving like it always did during the mid day. Trainers where moving throughout the city, exploring the new area and showing off their Pokémon. A few people where bragging up their skills and Pokémon for the tournament in an attempt to make themselves sound more badass then they actually might have been. Of course, it was safe to brag in the city after all, so if you wanted to do so here you didn’t have to back up the claims ever. That was the one problem Devlin had with being inside the city, not that it was a big deal at all. Still, the inability to battle any of these cocky trainers left him feeling utterly bored. He yawned stretching his arms above his head and arcing his back. Devlin wore a dark green, almost black, sleeveless shirt tucked into a pair of black jeans that where held up by a black belt. The belt buckle was silver and resembled a skull with horns. His tattoo was visible on his shoulder today, as he was feeling a bit lazier with his outfit and was not wearing a coat or button down like he normally did. He was also not wearing any kind of hat, letting his long silver hair out in a bit of a mess. Shoe wise he wore boots, as he normally did. Weaving between his legs as he walked was his Aron who seemed to be having a lot of fun scurrying between Devlin’s legs. It was hard to tell because her mouth was small and hard to see, but she was smiling happily as she moved along. Devlin of course, knew she was down there, and was careful not to stub his toe on her. He was used to her playful antics of affection by now, and by being careful and letting her do them he was showing his own kind of affection for her as well. The two continued like this down the street for a while till Devlin spotted one of the Regis moving along. The silent protector was gigantic, like a monster almost, making the entire scene of it walking along casually seem a bit odd. Devlin quickly moved out of its way and watched it as it strolled past everyone, as if in its own little world. Aron moved behind Devlin in fear of the massive beast, even though it knew very well it wasn’t going to hurt her. It was a fear Devlin didn’t share, as he watched it. He found it hard to believe that it was even a Pokémon at times. As it passed out of sight Aron let out a small, yet cute, sigh of relief. Devlin simply smirked a little. He thought about how much he would have loved to fight that monster of a Pokémon. Of course, his vision of fighting it was far into the future, in a time where Aron was no longer an Aron but evolved to her strongest. He was quickly pulled from his daydream, snapping back into the world when Aron tugged on his pants slightly looking a little upset that Devlin wasn’t paying attention to her. She huffed cutely to further show her frustration. Devlin laughed slightly as he bent down to rub the attention depraved Aron on her head a little, causing her to smile and lean a bit into his hand. Devlin smirked as he looked around at New Haven and its trainers. He spoke in a cocky confident voice, loud enough for only him and Aron to hear. “Let’s shake the world Aron. Just you and me ok?” She gave a coo as she rubbed her head more into Devlin’s fingers. Edited by Devlin, Apr 3 2010, 09:53:01 AM.

"Bwahaha! Look at that puny thing! My Hitmonchan would tear it apart!" "Chan Chan Chan Chan!!" Some loudmouth loser blared out from a crowd across the street, pointing at Randy's Hitmonlee. It had been some time since Randy had laid down a personal beat down but this guy was really starting to grind Randy's gears. She and Thane had been waiting in New Haven for quite awhile now; Randy wasn't quite sure what for but at the moment her and Thane were just sitting on the pavement against a building. The duo had watched this trainer shit talk about everyone and thing that walked by. Originally amusing, it started to get borderline retarded when a crowd formed around him to hear the stories about how awesome he was. Right before Randy lost interest and was about to walk away she heard the idiot yell something from the crowd. Turning slowly it was then that she realized he was infact talking about HER Hitmonlee. The trainer's Hitmonchan laughed maniacally, as if agreeing with him. Randy knew that Pokémon battles were illegal in New Haven, but she hadn't heard anything about punching someone else in the face yourself. As Randy made her way toward the trainer, she could see a slight hesitation in his expression. It seemed as though he didn't expect anyone to try to take him up on his challenge. Had he been alone this would have been the point where he lost his nerve and ran away like a school girl but today, with a crowd of idiots around him, he just couldn't turn down an opportunity to show off. "Yea, I'm talking to you! I didn't know they let useless Pokémon like him on this island! Almost as if some big APPLAUSE sign went on or something, the trainer and most his flunkies started giggling like gossiping highschoolers. Randy had a hard enough time biting her tongue when she was in school but here there was nearly no reason to. Randy didn't bother responding to him directly as she knew it wouldn't help. "If you're so brave why don't we take a stroll into the Trail of Bygones, just me and you. Settle this like men." "Oh, I get it now! You're a MAN!" The groups laughter boomed throughout the streets of New Haven. Randy couldn't help but facepalm; sometimes she honestly forgot how young most these trainers are. These kids were most likely hardly out of high school. Still, a loud mouth that just won't shut up is something Randy just has a hard time taking. " Oh, why don't you just admit it?! Randy boomed over the crowd. "You just aren't man enough to throw down!" Stepping forward until she was right in front of the other trainer; Randy looked him up and down. This kid was really just a scrawny trainer. Maybe it was because no one would know who he was, maybe it was because he just won a badge or maybe he was even fresh from his first blow job but something definitely had this trainer's ego blown up. Something else Randy really can't stand is when someone makes their ego seem bigger than hers. She isn't an egomaniac, she just doesn't like when she doesn't have all the attention. "Of course I do, I just don't want to waste my time on some attention whore who is probably here with her daddy's Pokémon...I bet YOU don't have the balls to hit me in front of these giant Regis!" And with that the kid stuck his face out to the wind like a target shooting out of the ground. As the trainer threw garbage Randy didn't even flinch; she knew this kid was just talking trash because he thought he could get away with it. "You know...no one said anything about trainers fighting..." Randy whispered to herself just low enough for the other trainer to hear. It took a second for his brain to process but right as he did Randy tossed out a brutal right punch, knocking the kid down onto the ground. "What the hell, bitch!? Hitmonchan, get her!" Before the trainer's Pokémon could move Thane stepped in between them--suddenly there was a great explosion of blue energy and flame around Thane as his aura lashed up from his body. Although no one could physically feel it, it was still an impressive sight; one that both shocked and surprised the enemy Hitmonchan, sending him running from the battle. The trainer quickly scampered up and ran down the street behind his Pokémon. At first Randy thought that they were running from Thane but as she looked around she noticed that no one was around. Eventually, after looking at the huge shadow on the ground, Randy realized that REGICE had dropped down behind her. "CEASE AND DESIST" Boomed loudly from unknown origin as the Regi raised his arms like guns toward Randy and Thane. Extinguishing his aura, Thane lowered his head to the legendary in respect. He was simply flaring up his aura to avoid a fight, not cause one. Randy raised her arms to the sky; "Ya got me sheriff! Comin' out with my hands up!" Randy yelled up to the legendary. Regice, now satisfied that there was no longer an issue, lowered his arms and simply hovered away. Wiping her brow, Randy let out a big sigh of relief. Turning to Thane she spoke: "Phew! Damn that was scary!" Edited by Randy Savage, Apr 5 2010, 10:15:06 PM.

Devlin was standing relatively close when the entire thing went down. The trainer was cocky, but that was nothing new around here. Devlin did want to beat his ass into the ground when he started to fuck with the woman however, but he kept his cool and simply watched. The woman looked like she could have put the kid into the dirt if she wanted to anyways. When she seemed to reach the last bit of her nerve and he swore the kid was going to get his head shoved a few feet up his butthole, that’s when Devlin saw the Regi come down. “Well shit…” Aron moved quickly to hide behind Devlin’s legs cowering a little at the awesome power that was the ice monster. Devlin didn’t budge and inch, but he would be lying if he said he didn’t feel at least an ounce of fear there somewhere. Still, the woman took it better then the kid did, who almost seemed to piss himself as he ran away. This sparked Devlin’s interest in the woman, he figured it was worth it at least to go talk to her. Besides, she seemed to have a certain type of spirit about her that he liked. She was a warrior. “Come on Aron, we got an interesting person to meet.” Devlin moved to find the woman. As he got closer he introduced himself. Aron followed behind Devlin almost hiding herself a little as they came up to her. She was shy and to be honest this woman looked scary to her. “Saw the deal with the Regi, that was pretty sweet!” |

"Yea, tell me about it. He was lucky he left before Thane here had to shatter him!" "Lee!" Turning toward the trainer and Pokémon that had just patrolled up behind her, Randy joked loudly now that the titan had moved on. Thane was still flaring his aura brightly; as he turned and agreed with Randy the sparks from his cobalt flames continued to tickle the environment around him. This would undoubtedly look pretty intimidating as Thane's limbs and eyes burned with an otherworldly flame. Despite the fact that he had essentially wasted an aura use, Thane was still determined to push his control and flare out his aura for as long as possible. At the very least he would look cool to everyone else and it seemed as though letting his aura interact with others made it stronger. Thane watched as the man's tiny Pokémon seemed to hide behind his leg as they approached Randy. He knew Randy could be intimidating, but he was surprised something like that would get through this things thick shell. "It's okay tiny Aron. Though by no means should you underestimate her, her bark is definitely worse than her bite!" Thane let out a reassuring laugh as he bent down and spoke to the smal steel Pokémon. Although he was trying to be nice, he probably looked like some sort of evil spirit as he emitted violent blue flames. Thane was actually surprised; of all the things for this trainer to start a conversation about, it wasn't the brilliant blue sparks shooting off of Randy's Pokémon, but instead it was the large Pokémon that patrolled the city day in and day out. Perhaps he didn't notice...or maybe, seeing the Regis break up a fight was less common to him than a Pokémon using aura. Thane tilted his head at the thought--so far neither Pokémon nor trainer have batted an eye at his energy so it was really the only explanation that made sense. The Hitmonlee couldn't help but laugh to himself--the aura that he just used to scare off a powerful Hitmonchan didn't even make this tiny tank flinch. "So...can you do this too?" Thane spoke lightly as he slowly reached out a flaming hand toward the Aron. He did so with his palm up and open so it was obvious he came in peace. It was quickly becoming more and more apparent that the aura was now starting to put a strain on the Pokémon's body. Thane did his best to keep his hands from shaking but his eyes tensed up and the aura started to lose some of its brilliance. The Hitmonlee had yet to see another Pokémon on this island with an aura like his and was curious as to if anyone else had managed to figure out this phenomena. Although this Aron didn't quite strike him as a scholar or scientist, perhaps it had some answers or clues as to why it was happening now, on this particular island. The Pokémon always liked seeking out answers and was particular unfond of the unknown--it seemed like this was one of the cruxes that allowed him and Randy to get along so well. Nothing like curiosity as a quick cure for some boredom. "I'm Randy Savage and this is Thane; the embodiment of my glorious fighting spirit and all things kickass! So...what can your Pokémon do, Devlin?" Randy smiled cockily at the small paperweight that was following Devlin around; she didn't think the Pokémon fit him at all, especially for how he carried himself. It was clear that the Aron adored Devlin, it had followed him closely, sometimes directly underneath of his feet, like a lost puppy. Despite this, Randy still couldn't wrap her mind around it; in order for that Pokémon to care so much Devlin would obviously had to owned it for years, or at least a very long amount of time. How come, despite all of this time, the Pokémon was still just a tiny Aron? Shouldn't it have sprouted up into a large iron mountain, if not for experience then at least from aging alone. Shaking her head Randy stopped the thoughts that were buzzing around her brain--it couldn't hurt to enjoy a little light conversation and hell, maybe Aron can just downsize itself for easy transport--how else would a giant steel monster be able to get to the island? |
