Don't waste my time.

The Move Tutor kiosk is fairly nondescript, sitting in a small indentation in the wall without any attendants. Technically, there are several of them, spread across New Haven in a more or less random distribution, but the appearance and positioning of each is identical. Simply put, you stick your Pokemon (in Pokeball) in the small chute on the front, put in enough money to pay for a move in the nearby slot ($1000), and the Pokeball pops out a few seconds later, with your Pokemon inexplicably knowing a new move. "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic," after all, and there sure as hell isn't an instruction manual attached to the thing. It can also be used to teach egg moves ($800 a pop), normally move tutor-only moves (also $800), or simply alert you to future TM, egg, move tutor, or levelup moves that can be learned (free). While the final function does not have any mechanical bonus, it can be useful for in-character knowledge and whatnot. Post in this topic if you intend to purchase a given TM/egg/move tutor move, with the name of the Pokemon learning it, and a staff member will DO MAGIC, subtracting an appropriate number of credits for your account and in turn granting you the move. You are welcome to actually RP out the entire transaction in-character, or simply post the bare minimum of facts. |
