Name: Gustav Heartenborough the Third Gender:Male Age: 21 Height: 6’1” Weight: 225 lbs. Ethnicity: White, I guess? Sexual Orientation: Hetero, I guess? Appearance: Gustav dresses appropriately for the weather found in Shimo City. He enjoys being warm, and much prefers it to being an icicle in the city streets. He is commonly seen wearing a crème-colored fleece, which is almost as soft as Reptar’s fur, with a white insulating vest over it. Around his neck is a melon muffler, a light green in color. It has a pattern of vertical white stripes segmenting off sections of light green, almost like segments of a bug’s body. A plain black beanie cover his head, adding further protection from the cold. His feet are covered by two layers of socks: one, the outermost, is composed of some form of composite, designed to trap heat more efficiently; the inner layer is simple cotton, dyed fuchsia. His pants are a darker olive color, almost black. He has short brown hair, a contrast to his rather pale skin. He has fair facial features: high cheekbones, a strong, masculine jaw, and broad nose, yet not so broad that it comes across as unfitting for his face. Despite his pale skin, wells of red constantly paint his cheeks, giving him a bit of an energetic appearance. His frame is tall, yet not too wide, almost not wide enough. This makes him look lanky, though his muscular build makes it seem less apparent. Birth Place: Sootopolis City Trainer Biography: Gustav was a relatively normal kid: he was healthy, had friends, and overall led a satisfying life. That is, until he moved from Sootopolis to Shimo a month before his fifteenth birthday. His parents – his dad, particularly – had gotten him a Pokémon. The first he owned – a tiny, slightly underweight Litleo. He had decided to name it Reptar – after a slightly corrupted version of his father’s name for his Seadra, Richter. The transition to Shimo City went relatively smooth. Transition in the middle of the semester made it difficult for him to make new friends immediately, but he had more than a few by school’s end anyway. All in all, he has lead a relatively “normal” life, having a wide group of friends and some experience with Pokémon. Eventually, he finished his education through high school. Not seeking further education, it left something to be . . . desired. Something more to his life. Surely, it wouldn’t be just this, when there was so much more of the world for him to see? And so, he gathered up his savings, bought what supplies he could (while retaining a moderate base of funds for the journey ahead of them), and set out without so much as a warning or even a goodbye. After all, he was an adult. He’d be able to make it on his own . . . wouldn’t he? Personality: Gustav is generally a kind, lighthearted individual, possessing great faith in both his ability and his Litleo’s. He understands that the task ahead of them is a rather momentous one, but of what worth is it, if you never attempt in the first place? He has not set out in a competitive spirit; perhaps he might become a breeder in his journeys, caring for Pokémon that are not only his, but others as well? Or, just maybe, he might prove the worth of his companions, in their might alone. His personality is somewhat of a blank slate as to what the desired goal of his journey is – or, more simply, perhaps there isn’t a goal for Gustav. That’s the kind of guy he is, after all – a shortsighted man, which is at times somewhat of a downside; yet, it can also be the best of his qualities. After all, someone doesn’t just set out on a journey with no goal in mind . . . right? Starter Pokémon Option: Option 1! Starter Pokémon: Litleo! Nickname: Reptar. Starting Area: Shimo City Starter Pack: Medical Pack ([item=Poké Ball]x2| [item=potion]x5| $230) PokéTech Color: [item=poketech green] (Green!) Sample Post: Snow fell softly over the frozen streets of Shimo City. Gustav hugged the warm body of his Litleo, Reptar, closer to his chest as his already damp fleece grew ever damper under the late evening light of the setting, if not already set, sun. His breath froze in front of his face, forming a cloud of carbon dioxide as Reptar purred into his jacket. Gustav walked down the streets as their lights began to flicker to life, providing a blue illumination to his surroundings. He continued walking down the snow-dusted streets, focusing on the warmth provided by his cute little friend, before he heard a skittering come from an alley beside them. He knew he shouldn’t. He was so cold. Soon, it was just going to get colder. He looked down into the green eyes of Reptar, his red tuft of mane fanning out against his crème-colored fleece. Their eyes met, the adorable feline only giving him a content, joyful look before offering a quaint, “Nyaa~?” “Alright.” Gustav said, pulling his melon muffler closer over his mouth. His nose was frozen and starting to wet itself with mucus, and his mouth was cold and stiff. His lips cracked. They tasted like blood. But that wouldn’t stop him, not now. He approached a fence near the middle of the alleyway, with piles of litter and garbage lined along the walls with piles of snows in the corner formed by the fence and litter. Snuggled into one of the knee-high was a cone shaped, orangeish Pokemon. One they had fought before. “Oh boy,” Gustav uttered, as he set the little Litleo onto the ground. Riling up in response, Reptar poofed his little tuft of red mane up as best he could, before beginning to growl at the Snorunt in a low tone. “Reptar, tackle!” Edited by Clooby, Oct 31 2014, 03:47 PM.
