[parent-class=active]Profile Journey Computer[table-class=profile]
[tab-class=profile-info][tabsection][tabs] [tab=Appearance] [tab=Biography] Cherrygrove City of the Johto region is an out of the way small city that trainers usually pass through on their way to the gyms and Mount Silver, but if you spend time there you would find a small book store nestled in between the beach and an apartment block. One night in the middle of a furious rainstorm and power outage, between the fiction and non-fiction sections, a boy was born. Expecting a girl, the parents had already made a number of changes to the babies room, with Grace plastered on everything from Pokedolls to cots. A boy was a surprise to them, but the parents cared little for social stigma, and kept the name as it was. A thin youth, Grace wasn’t as strong as other boys, leaving him open to taunts and ridicule. His friends were few but they were loyal, they stood by his side through his earlier years, and once even got into a fist fight on his behalf. Grace liked being close to them, but never wanted to have popularity, just friends and something he enjoyed. Eventually though his friends began to leave on their own Pokémon journeys until it was just Grace sweeping floors at his parents store and helping customers find “that one book with the lady in red who has an affair.” His mother was determined to make her son happy, she had seen the content of the books and magazines in his room: famous trainers from near and far, information on every Pokémon from Abra to Zubat, and maps of Hoenn, Unova, and the distant Alternia. She made up her mind, she was going to get her son a pokemon. It was a few weeks later that Grace was stopped in the hall by his father, who told him that they needed to talk. Grace, wondering what this was about, followed his father to the living room where his mother was waiting. In her hands she held a small envelope and a backpack, she passed them to Grace. They both said they were proud of what Grace had become, but that it as time that he experienced the world. Grace opened the envelope and inside was a letter. The letter was from the Cherrygrove Trainer Club, it was informing Grace that he had been selected to enter their Beginner Trainer program, and asking him to come that day to receive his first pokemon. Delighted at the prospect of beginning his own journey, Grace hugged his parents and left for the Trainer Club. There, he was greeted warmly by a group of trainers, who lead him into a room where he would choose his pokemon. They were all very nice, a Spinarak that crawled up his arm to rest on his cheek, a Pidgey that flew to his shoulder, and a Poliwag that playfully squirted him with water. All very nice, but the one that caught his attention the most was the Sentret. Less cautious than most of it’s kind, he sniffed at Grace while flicking his tail, then he had climbed into Grace’s lap and curled up, a gesture that in the wild meant it felt safe. Grace fell for his charm, and a few official documents later, Grace left the Club with his first ever pokemon, Frolic the Sentret. He began planning where he would go with Frolic, where his new life began. He wanted it to be somewhere new, somewhere outside of Johto. After a few week of searching he finally settled on the option he had first thought of, the island region of Alternia. He brought a ticket to Miracu City, packed his bags, and with Frolic perched on his shoulder he set off on his new adventure.[/tab] [tab=Personality]Grace was picked on his his youth for his name and physical appearance, which wasn’t made easier when his sexuality was brought into light. As a result, he is wary of new people but friendly towards them, as politeness is something his family values. He is usually willing to help for a good cause, if someone needs help to carry boxes he’ll roll up his sleeves and get to work, if someone wants to travel through a cave in a group he adds his strength to theirs. Although it takes some time, he forms strong bonds of friendship with people and pokemon, the latter being easier because of the mutual relationship. He is more likely to make friends with girls than with boys, as he tends to be a lot shyer around the same sex. Grace is also a creative minded person, enjoying the visual arts. He sketches and reads in his spare time, which makes him book smart, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t also know how to do normal life things, like cooking, cleaning and shopping. In summary, Grace is cautious but kind, with a creative bent and a willingness to help.[/tab][/tabs][/tabsection] Edited by Crosse, Oct 14 2014, 02:49 PM.
