[parent-class=active]Profile Journey Computer[table-class=profile]
[tab-class=profile-info][tabsection][tabs] [tab=Appearance]Inherited from his mother, his hair is long and blonde, with strands falling everywhere. It juts out in various different directions as it starts to reach his ear level, so his bangs are often swept to the side so as to not block his vision any. However, his hair is clearly very well groomed and well kept, a clear sign of his birth and upbringing. While its natural formation can make it appear slightly messy, it will rarely be seen dirtied, or anything of that nature. From his father, Arthur gets his eyes. His irises are of a somewhat light green hue, the bright color fiercely piercing through the spirits of those who stare at his eyes. Arthur is somewhat tall for his age, going up to around 5'9". He has not led a very lax life, and as such, is somewhat fit and slim, partially due to muscle gained from his kendo practice. Arthur weighs around 144 lbs mostly due to that. While he is certainly in shape, he still has a somewhat thin frame, so he has not packed on a substantial amount of muscle. Typically, Arthur dons an expensive, classy demeanor. Even in the rigid, harsh world of Pokemon, he can be found wearing such clothing. He can generally be found wearing very expensive looking black silk suits, with a white, long-sleeved undershirt. He almost always wears a red bowtie around his neck. It's an extremely sentimental item to him, so as such, he almost never takes it off. Despite this, unlike the rest of his attire, it doesn't seem to be made of such high quality material. For his belongings, Arthur carries around a fancy black shoulder bag, with a single opening flap. He typically keeps any necessities in there, such as food, water, and a change of clothing, along with items like Pokeballs and Potions. Otherwise, he tends to travel light, carrying only what he needs, especially since he generally has to carry Kite's bag along with his.[/tab] [tab=Biography]Arthur was born into a rich life of luxuriousness. His mother, Susan Winters, was quite a wealthy woman. All of their wealth was due to the exploits of his father, though, William Winters. Like most extraordinarily wealthy families, Arthur was born and raised in Golderia Town. His father was the owner of an extremely successful trade business, making him rich beyond most people's imaginations at a young age. As such, Arthur has lived his life in complete luxury, being treated like a prince from day one. Due to this success, however, his father was constantly working, and as such, Arthur would rarely see his father. When Arthur was five, another member joined their family. His mother had given birth to another little boy, who was named Kite Azure Winters. Even at such a young age, Arthur was always very caring and protective of his little brother, possibly due to the lack of his father around. His life was always busy what with private tutoring and schooling, so he didn't always have time to think about the lack of a father in his everyday life. One day, Arthur's mother crafted him a gift; a pretty red bow. The boy could get whatever he dreamed of, but rarely did he have something made for him by his mother, so it made him very happy. When Arthur was around nine, his entire perspective of the world drastically changed. His mother had left one day to take a car ride somewhere, as she often had business or errands to attend to. That was the last time Arthur ever saw his mother. On the way to her destination, Susan Winters was involved in a bad car accident that took the lives of multiple people, herself included. Since then, Arthur developed a strong trauma and fear against cars, to the point where he outright broke down in tears when inside one. Along with this, his protectiveness toward his little brother increased, along with his wariness toward outsiders. Sure enough, his father re-married. Arthur didn't care though, he didn't like her. That quickly fell into a divorce as she was simply after his money. Once again he married, but Arthur didn't like her either, she wasn't his mom. Once Arthur started reaching the age of 10, his interest in Pokémon started rising. Since he wouldn't ride in cars, transporting him could be difficult. As such, his father bought him an expensive, rare Pokémon native to Alternia, a Trackoal. While it by itself was a very powerful Pokemon, it was also a useful transport Pokemon. While his interest in Pokémon increased, so did his interest in his own body and protection. With all the tutors in the world available to him, Arthur started practicing a style of swordsmanship called Kendo. He was rather decent at it, but still quite young and inexperienced, with a lot of room to improve. As he grew older, Arthur seemed to become rather apathetic toward schooling. In the meantime, his interest in Pokémon increased. Not to say he was bad at his schooling, he did rather well, but it seemed more like he wasn't interested. He finished high school around the age of fifteen, but wasn't interested in pursuing higher levels of schooling, at least not yet. Instead, Arthur was interested in learning more about the world and Pokémon through more physical means; by traveling with and meeting Pokemon. His father allowed Arthur to go, but Arthur also wanted to bring Kite with him. He didn't want to leave Kite alone at home, like he was so long ago. Arthur wouldn't be there to protect him, either. Whether through confidence and trust in his sons or some other reason, Arthur's father allowed Kite to accompany him and trusted Arthur to keep up with him.[/tab] [tab=Personality]Arthur is an incredibly proud and confident person. He is filled to the brim with pride, and feels disgusted when he has to admit defeat. While he knows it's foolish to fight a losing battle, occasionally if it doesn't seem entirely hopeless he can let his pride get the better of him and keep fighting, only to suffer easily avoidable consequences. He is rather wealthy, and is quite used to living a comfortable life for the rich. While he is not foolish enough to believe the entire world is this way, it is something he is accustomed to, so the outside world can prove to be a bit of discomfort to the young man. Arthur tends to prefer using strong Pokemon. Pokémon that are powerful, that look powerful. He doesn't just like to win, but he enjoys destroying his opponents with overwhelming strength, and that is the type of strength he looks for in his Pokemon, though he realizes it is not always the best strategy. Due to his upbringing, Arthur may come off as a tad obnoxious to lower class people, especially due to his pride. He is not entirely an elitist toward other people in this regard, but it is entirely possible for him to refuse poorer things. Having practiced Kendo for so many years, Arthur has become decently proficient with swordplay. Though he's still definitely not a master, he has experience and skill under his belt, and is far from a helpless person. Like most teenage boys, Arthur can tend to be a little perverted around girls, but he tries to control himself to uphold his image. However, he is afraid of being used like his father had been in the past, so he tries to keep a fine line between himself and girls met- or anyone really-, which can make him come off as rude or stuck up. This is also so others don't walk all over him, but he isn't a mean person. He tries to be rather kind to his friends and those he cares for, along with his Pokemon. Arthur has a deep-seeded fear of cars and other types of vehicles. Just being in the vicinity of them will cause great anxiety and panic, and actually entering one will typically cause him to freak out and likely pass out. Other types of transportation, such as boats, planes, and trains, don't affect him nearly as much, though there may occasionally be some feelings of uncomfortableness that linger in his mind still. While Arthur might not be the most sharing or respectful guy to normal people, he is extremely protective of his little brother, possibly to the detriment of himself. He sees his little brother as his last real family member and person he really cares about, and is willing to do anything to keep him safe. Along with this, he treasures the red bow around his next greatly, the memento and memory from his mother he keeps to remember her by. It is something he treats with great care, despite its lack of value relative to the rest of his stuff.[/tab][/tabs][/tabsection] Edited by Crosse, Sep 11 2014, 04:45 PM.
