Part II: Spore and Powder Based Moves
Powder moves are a new concept brought into the Pokémon world based off older attacks. Powder moves are moves that utilise spores and powdery scales from Pokémon as the base for the attacks and are scattered about through propulsion and wind. Grass types are all immune to Powder based moves, Pokémon with Overcoat or wearing Safety Goggles are also immune to Powder based moves. The Effect Spore ability is also counted as a Spore and Powder based move when contact is made against the holder.

Spore and Powder Based Moves:
  • Cotton Spore
  • Poison Powder
  • Powder
  • Rage Powder
  • Sleep Powder
  • Spore
  • Stun Spore

Part III: Weather Based Moves
Weather based attacks are any sort of moves that effect the general phenomenon based on the surrounding atmosphere. Only 1 weather phenomenon can exist at any given point. When a new weather phenomenon is called it replaces the old phenomenon.

Weather Based Moves:
  • Sunny Day
  • Rain Dance
  • Sandstorm
  • Hail
  • Poison Bog
  • Ocean Rein

Part IV: Field Altering Moves
These moves all create special areas within the field that can alter the way battles are conducted. Either by causing added damage, changing the rate in which effects work, or changing the effects of moves.

Field Altering Moves and Combinations:

  • Grass Pledge + Water Pledge = Marsh Field
  • Water Pledge + Fire Pledge = Rainbow Field
  • Fire Pledge + Grass Pledge = Burning Field
  • Water Sport
  • Mud Sport
  • Chao-Web

Part V: Terrain and Room Moves
Moves within this area are special in the way that they create special spaces enveloping the battle field. Each have different effected target, but all warp the space around the battle field.

Terrain and Room Moves:
  • Grassy Terrain
  • Misty Terrain
  • Electric Terrain
  • Ion Deluge
  • Trick Room
  • Magic Room
  • Wonder Room

Part VI: Barrier Based Moves
These moves are all special barrier like moves that create shields for the Pokémon to lessen damage in some way. There are a few ways to circumvent these moves through other attacks and abilities such as infiltrator. Sound based moves also pass through these attacks. Each is unique in the way it defends the Pokemon.

Barrier Moves:
  • Light Screen
  • Reflect
  • Safe Guard
  • Substitute
[anchor=part7]
Part VII: Trapping Moves
These are special moves that prevent another Pokémon from being able to flee from battle. With exception to wearing the Shed Shell, being Ghost type, or having an attack that allows you to switch out, the Pokémon under the effect of these moves cannot be recalled.

Partially Trapping Moves:
  • Bind
  • Clamp
  • Fire Spin
  • Infestation
  • Magma Storm
  • Sand Tomb
  • Whirlpool
  • Wrap
Trapping Moves:

  • Gravity Bind
  • Mean Look
  • Spider Web

Part VIII: Fixed Damage Moves
These moves do a fixed amount of damage based upon their own effects. They ignore conventional resistance and effectiveness checks, though they do not bypass immunity checks.

Fixed Damage Moves:
  • Seismic Toss
  • Nightshade
  • Dragon Rage
  • Sonic Boom
