‘Ka-boom,’ the heavy sound radiated throughout the streets of the beachside town. A town wide screaming match-off was to follow as citizens raced to and from in all directions. Thick clouds of black began to fill the air, blinding at every turn as the smoke began to grow. You looked around, finally disembarking on to the docks; actually, you were the first to leave the crowded ferry, it seemed everyone else was completely frozen in fear… pussies. The docks where pretty much vacant, the only people who stuck around where the few foreman and shipmen that had to keep the docks running and ships safe in bay, what the hell was going on here?

With the amount of people that where bolting away, it wasn’t hard to distinguish where the explosion had occurred. As you approached, there was no dissention from a single one of your vastly growing number of personalities, be it curiosity or enjoyment, every part of you wanted to see what had gone down.

The smoke had begun to clear now, the small building turned to rubble seemed to have no one inside though, a zero casualty job? Not even a mild injury? Well, this is boring... and you came all that way for nothing! ‘I alone brought on this act of destruction that will allow my children to grow,’ the voice echoing through the clearing smoke, ‘What you fail to realise boy is you, along with everything and everyone in this world belongs to me!’ He continued, his voice growing grimmer and darker with each word that slipped from his tongue. Who was he speaking to? You? Because if you don’t hurry up and shut him up, you know some part of you might start to believe him. ‘I am the core of the darkness that swirls and bubbles in the unconscious depths of your mind, you are bound to my path until you see the light, and until that day you are nothing but my pawn, a possession that will bend at my will!’

The cloaked figure was visible now, it’s eyes where glowing under the hood, red, dark red, almost crimson like the blood that was now racing through your veins. It had neither legs nor arms; it even seemed to have no body as the figure ‘floated’ towards you. Behind it a young boy became visible, the boy was staring at you blankly, almost as if there was nothing inside him, but then he spoke, ‘I will allow you that Pokemon,’ he whispered, his voice more chilling then the one you had heard before, ‘It will grow in your hands until the day I call upon you to serve me.’

‘I didn’t choose you,’ he giggled, ‘you chose me,’ the cloak falling of the hideous ball. The boy remained still, a grin from ear to ear stretching across his face, like a Chelsea… there was nothing creepier then the sight that was before you, you had to do something… before it was too late… before you lose your lesser parts to this psychotic child!

To be off that boat was a blessing, she thought. In her youth she would have loved the chance to set sail once more but now all that Kate could think about was the smell and the noise of all the people she was getting away from. Why did people insist on being so boisterous and rude? Was it some sort of public pastime to see who could be the most obniouxous in the least amount of time? If so, she evidently wanted no part of it.

In her hands lied the map her pernicious alter-ego kindly decided to doodle on. Hidden beneath multiple layers of a green crayon (last time she checked she owned no such thing) Katelyn saw the words Alternia. Not Kanto, Johto, or even Orre but rather a backwaters region no one has heard of before. Of all of the regions she could had picked it just had to be this one. Bleh just looks as if she would have to once again make the best of a b-

Explosions? Screaming? Somewhere deep inside a certain someone was jumping for joy with anticipation, Katelyn , on the other hand, would have preferred to ignore it. The sensible thing to do would have been to turn and walk the other way, but curiosity was edging her on. It wasn’t every day something blew up in your face.

Judging by the damage and overall lack of casualties, Kate theorized the desctruction to be the act of amateurs at best and a display of “Pokemon rights propaganda” at worst; either way nothing of interest and thus a total waste of time. It didn’t help that someone decided to narrate the whole ordeal, blah blah “darkness” yadda yadda “my will”. It was beginning to sound like the speech of an overly cliché villain. Yet when she moved to walk away her legs failed to respond. It was as if she was frozen, but with what? It couldn’t be fear, exploding building and cryptic monologues didn’t usually invoke such emotions in normal people. And even if they did, she wasn’t exactly “normal”, she would at least attest to that. Then again maybe she was scared…but only just a little.

Being chosen, specifically, by the little boy did nothing to put her at ease. And it wasn’t as if his blank stare was all that comforting either. Still, while the rest of her body was on strike, Kate still held control over her face effectively veiling any doubts she was feeling internally.

It wasn’t until the cloaked figure began to reveal itself did her doubts vanish replacing themselves with something equally sinister. And with her worries waning so did Kate, banished to back of her own mind leaving Bonnie in the forefront.

“It’s so cute and bubbly! I LOVE IT!”, Bonnie said enthusiastically reaching to hug the poor creature. “I can have it right? Right!”

To say that you're reserved in this instance is rather intriguing Katelyn - most others, of whom you've already seen, would flee or stare in total shock at the harrowing explosion that had just transpired. Of course, a certain someone else inside your mind seemed rather excited over this - though I'm not even surprised. I've seen what this alter-ego you call 'Bonnie' is capable of! Regardless, as you rather clearly noted, there had been no casualties caused by the conflagration of the construction before you.

As such, your attention was shifted across to the rather haunting creature heading towards you. When something has no legs or arms and appears to be floating in the air towards you, behind a cloak no less, something's ever so slightly amiss. Admittedly, much to your relief, it was only a rather cute looking Munna - or at least, that's what your dear little Bonnie seems to think. "I didn't choose you, you chose me," he repeated eerily, gently rubbing his body up against yours. Seems your alter-ego was more keen to give this thing a quick hug than you would have probably been were you in control of things, Katelyn!

However, considering the words he continued to circulate throughout your consciousness, you and your alter-ego were both in agreement - for a change. Momentarily releasing your grip upon the floating creature, you took a PokéBall out of your pocket. The Dream Eater Pokémon immediately spotted the red and white capsule, charging down to push at the button that would capture him and place him under your stewardship. Vanishing in a flow of red light, there appeared to be almost no resistance as the sphere clicked - this was now your Munna! You paused to consider 'thanking' the boy who had allowed you this Pokémon - but somehow, he had vanished from view! Just where had he disappeared to?

Regardless, as you wondered where to go next on your adventure (especially since the explosion you had witnessed had nothing to do with you), the sound of the rain was punctuated by a multitude of growls, that grew closer and closer as you continued to listen. Just what was coming?

Your journey continues forward, Katelyn - but there are times when such journeys cross paths with others, whose fates align with yours. This is one such time. Just who is it, though, that has slipped onto your winding road?

Time to find out - let's go! Your journey continues here.
