Basic Information: Name: Durilum Berry Item Sprite: ![]() Optional Image: Based on "Dirigible Plums" from Harry Potter, actual Plums, Pumpkins, the Air Balloon item, Hot Air Balloons and this TCG card: Balloon Berry Item Information: Weight: 0.2 lbs. Height: 5'03" Description: A huge berry naturally filled with helium; makes a great natural balloon, but unfortunately not edible as it pops and explodes into hundreds of pieces when attempting to eat. Most scientists believe this was an adaptation to allow the plant to spread its own seeds from island to island by releasing them as balloons, which would pop in the upper atmosphere allowing the seeds to rain down. Effects: Grants the Pokemon holding this immunity to Ground attacks. Will burst if attacked by anything but Ground attacks. Recycle and Harvest can repair after destroyed. Can be planted and grow trees like most berries; to do this, intentionally pop one near the ground and its seeds will scatter nearby. Notes: Natural Gift is type.Fling is E Ranked. Pluck/Bug Bite will cause damage to the attacker equal to 1/8 of that pokemon's HP. Edited by Bcadren, Nov 11 2012, 11:52 PM.

I know you've been wanting some feedback on this, so I'll give it a shot. I have no idea how I feel about it! It's drastically different then any other cannon berry available. I both like and dislike that fact. It seems like it makes more sense as a consumable Hold Item, rather then a new berry. I do like the sprite and the history you made though. |

I like how the pluck/bug bite part causes damage to the one using the move. Like when you bite into a balloon you get the bang set off into your face right? I do suggest to make it slightly less powerful. I mean, aftermath is a pokemon ability. Thus used by bigger and more intelligent beings. And thus doing more damage than a balloon going 'pop', I figure. |

Because the first pokemon I owned with Aftermath was a Drifloon, I tend to think of Aftermath as a balloon going Pop; that said. 1/4 of the opponent's HP is a bit high...halving it to 1/8 (same as contact with Rough Skin ability or the Rugged Helmet item); could also do a recoil amount based on the amount of damage done by the attack, I'm open to suggestions. |
