Name: Jack Michaelis
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Profession: Trainer

Appearance: Posted Image
Jack couldn't blend in even if he tried, not that he ever really wanted to. The man's really not tan, and has a more creamy, sort of pale color to his skin. His hands are big but bony, attached to long arms accustomed to stretching. His ears are remarkably pointy, and have a slightly odd look to them because of it. To try and hide it, he pierced both of his elfish ears. His chin is a bit pointy, as is his nose which is a bit large. Pale pink lips complete the facial image. Jack's legs are an average length for a guy his age, though his torso is a bit long. With almost a swimmer's build, he likes to think of himself as muscular and actually quite handsome.

Jack's hair is actually pretty long, but he'll conceal its actual length by spiking it up. Even after he does that, his multicolored locks reach down to chin-length. He's often compared to a skunk that rolled in urine or even a confused bumblebee, because he has black stripes randomly placed in his blonde hair. His clothes look similar, though are a little more color-coordinated. Jack wears a black Eskimo jacket, and underneath, a white compression shirt with black trim. He prefers black cargo pants to any other kind, so that's what he wears. Xbox Nike shoes are always on his feet, taking him wherever he wants to go.

He's always seen with a thin, black choker around his neck as well as his aviator goggles, which either rest on top of his head or pulled over his hazel eyes. On his right hand is a leather, finger-less glove meant for gripping things. He's good at hiding it, but whenever he opens his mouth, you can sometimes catch the glint of something metal reflecting the light from inside. Jack has a tongue ring, and he's proud of it, but doesn't show it off.

Trainer Biography: Jack Michaelis was born on November 28, in the year 1989. He lived in the northern area of the region, so it was a cold night. Snowflakes fell gently from the dark, cloudy sky, where they gathered and made a ten-inch thick blanket on the ground. It was one of those towns where the only people you would see around were kindly old folks, the occasional adult, uncommon couple, and rare child. Of course, all the elderly and party-crazy youngsters had migrated south for the winter. What people were left were the staff at the hospital, stores, and police department.

There was much hustle and bustle in the hospital the night of Jack's birth. The boy was late and had grown too large for the mother to pass, and the technology she could possibly afford in her lifetime could only save one of them. The lady had known this and prepared in advance, handing over her only child to her senior-citizen neighbors. They were the only old people staying for the winter, and clasped each other's withered hands as their friend and mother of their soon-to-be adopted grandchild wailed in utter agony. The feminine cries eventually stopped, causing the older woman to grip her husband's hand tighter and try to hold back tears. To the doctor's relief, as well as the grandparents', the baby boy turned out to be healthy. His scream was just as loud as his late mother's.

Jack grew up without a mother or father. His mother, he was promptly told of her sacrifice when he was old enough to understand. His father, Edna and Edgar were a little hesitant on telling him about. He would ask them to tell him a story every night as they tucked him into his snorlax-shaped bed, and they would read to him picture books, and eventually chapter books. If he fell asleep before they finished the book, they would continue on the next night from where they left off. Occasionally, Jack would ask for stories about his father instead. They respond with elaborate stories of his bravery as a policeman and fearlessness when tracking down criminals. They would lengthen the story each time, and he would fall asleep before they ever got to the end. They just didn't want to break his sweet, boyish heart.

He did well in his first few years of school. Got along well with everyone, and loved to see others smile. Jack had just been raised that way. In first grade, he developed an innocent crush on a cute girl in his class. He was shy, so instead of telling her how he felt, he told Edna and Edgar. They chuckled and guided him through it, reassuring him that he was a prince and that she was his princess. A few weeks before school ended, he finally confessed and they became a cute little couple, walking home together and holding hands. They would even split their snack-time cookies with one another. His childhood was pure and innocent, like everyone else's should be.
Though reality reared its troll face and smacked him right in his... or should I say splattered.

On the first day of school when he was in the second grade, a gang from the south showed up with their nasty Pokemon. Not only would they command their Pokemon to scare people and steal their belongings, but they had guns and beat people up. Jack was safe with his grandparents, they each had a Pokemon. They protected him and each other, especially him. Edna and Edgar even did their part to help protect the town, but there were complications. The leader of the little syndicate was also the chief policeman. He wiped out his law-abiding underlings just as soon as he brought his no-good buddies up there. The rotten gang that terrorized and harassed the village were now the law-makers. They put the city on lock-down, letting no one in and no one out. They took all they wanted; money, food, women, etc. The people trapped in the city had to deal with their predicament for a couple months before anything different happened. The mean men wouldn't let the people meet up to form a rebellion, they had vicious Pokemon guarding each person's house. Edgar and Edna had finally had enough. They took their Pokemon and knocked out the feral guards, going to each able-bodied person's house, or the houses with strong Pokemon. They took their tiny army to meet the Chief and his direct subordinates, and declared war.

Jack was in school at the time, but a bad guy burst in and threatened the superintendent. He took over the intercom system and broadcast across the school that the students were to be released from their classes, it was a half day. Blissfully fooled, the students crammed themselves out of the classrooms in a disorderly fashion, and charged outside. When they got out, they stopped. Blood was everywhere... It was on the walls of the houses, buildings, and even on the school's playground. Dead bodies of Pokemon and humans, bad and good, could be seen mangled or cut up in ribbons. Many of the kids started screaming and wailing, but Jack just stood there, horrified. The battling Pokemon heard the kids, and dashed away from their current duties. Among them was an especially mean-looking Scyther. It got there much faster than the others and started tearing into the kids. They scattered, though a few were left paralyzed. One of them was Jack, his mouth agape and eyes wide as tears and young blood spilled onto the ground. The scary mantis sliced his way through the group, eventually getting right next to Jack. Grinning, it cleaved off the head of his girlfriend and cut his cheek. By now, he was standing in blood and had it splattered on him. The Scyther raised his weapon and started to bring it down on Jack, but the boy was spared. A brave Stoutland slammed into the bug Pokemon, sending it flying before it hurt Jack. However, it regained its composure right before slamming into the bloody slide and hovered in the air. It hissed, its wings flapping loudly, then charged at the dog. A random Golduck blasted a Hydro Pump at the bug, scoring a direct hit. Edna and Edgar rushed to Jack's side, picking him up and holding him close. They tried their best to reassure and comfort him in the smallest amount of time, before putting him back down. The chief and some of his boys walked up and smirked. "You old folks are just about the only ones left... Much more fitting than cancer, isn't it?" He sneered, then commanded his Kabutops to attack. His underlings did the same for their Pokemon, the battle being seven against two. Edna and Edgar paled for a second, then steeled their nerves. Closing their eyes, they accepted their fate... but wouldn't let Jack do the same. Edgar commanded both of the Pokemon while Edna knelt besides her grandson. She told him to get out of her as fast as he could, and head southwest. Her sister should be alive and well in a town called Mavari. She would raise him to be a wonderful man, and an even better Pokemon trainer, as she used to be a gym leader. Edna told him that if he did this, and became a great and wonderful man, that he would someday be able to prevent something like this from happening and maybe find his father.

Scared witless, Jack could only nod and wipe tears away as Edna nudged him and told him to go. Quickly! He turned and started to run, but her cry asking him to wait made him stop. She rushed towards him once more and grabbed him in a hug, her body shaking as tears fell down her cheeks. She told him that she and Edgar loved him as if he was their own son, and to keep living a wonderful life, as his real mother had wanted. To become an even better man than what they had told him of his father, and make them proud. She told him that they would be watching him, and if he ever felt sad or alone, to hold this necklace and remember them. Edna handed him a necklace that was made out of silver and a special stone. Edgar had given it to her as a wedding present, and she almost never took it off.

Crying even more than before, he took the necklace and gripped the beautiful but foggy stone and put it on. It was big for him, but that didn't matter. Letting one more tear fall, Edna pursed her lips so as not to let out a sob and wiped one of Jack's tears. She kissed his forehead and got up, rushing to her husband's aid. Providing a diversion for their beloved to escape, they and their Pokemon died that day.

Jack tore through the snow and the bodies, crying and occasionally stumbling. His vision was blurry from all the tears, and his hands, face, and clothes were dirty from tripping so much. It only took about a day's walk to get to the first destination Edna had told him to go to. The people were shocked to see the child in the condition that he was in, and melted when they heard his story. They quickly complied to his request, provided that he eat, sleep, and bathe before they set out. They took him to Mavari, where he lived with grandma's sister Georgia. He quickly settled in at her home, and despite her husband dying before her, she was a fun and happy woman. She was what he had needed to get over his traumatic experience, and life for him eventually went back to the way it used to be. He did well in school and was treated well, and had good friends.

When he was sixteen, Georgia died of old age. She had been deteriorating slowly ever since he turned ten, and they both knew this. Through more tears and determination, he got through it. He kept the house in nice shape, made sure she had a wonderful funeral, and was buried next to Edna and Edgar's tombstones. He had to get used to her being gone, and by that time, he had turned twenty-one. Hooked on alcohol, his life went down in quality. He was a drunken kid, living at home alone. He hadn't gone to college, either. His personality changed and he became a jerk, which caused all his friends to eventually drift away. He was alone, and he didn't seem to notice that it really affected him. Point is, he didn't have a good life or much money left, and had a crappy job to top it off.

Now call it an act of God, a coincidence, fate, or spirits of his mother, Edna, Edgar, and Georgia watching out for him. A Duskull appeared in his life. At first, it tormented Jack. It would taunt him whenever he drank booze or did something terrible or self-destructive. It gave him his sense of guilt back. Whenever Jack procrastinated or did something unproductive, it would bug him. If the man destroyed something in a fit of rage, it would smack his butt and then giggle before disappearing almost instantly. It would haunt his dreams, though they weren't nightmares unless he had done something bad. It took Jack a few weeks to get used to the fact that he couldn't hurt the Pokemon, as it would turn intangible every time he swung at it. It would float up through the floorboards or down through the ceiling and sit next to him as he ate his breakfast or did his work. It would float next to him when he walked to work, and after a few months, he just decided to put up with it. He no longer tried to hurt the ghost or shouted at it. He just accepted its presence.

This was when things started to turn around for him. Seeing that he would no longer go off on him, the Duskull started improving Jack's life in little ways. He bumped a girl's ice cream and then bumped Jack, so that he would stumble and end up catching it. Little things like this earned Jack appreciation. He would point out good ideas that would earn him a promotion at work, and that's exactly what happened. Soon enough, Jack had gotten his old personality back. The Duskull was his best friend, and they did everything together. They ate, played, and even slept together. The human was always troubled, though. He couldn't figure out a name that would suit such a wonderful Pokemon.

Together, they gathered up enough money and supplies to start a Pokemon journey and become a trainer, as Georgia and he had always talked about. He rented out the entire house, and quit his job. On the day of their departure, they confidently walked(and floated) out the door, though Jack stopped. Humming a ghostly tune, the Duskull didn't notice after he floated a few feet ahead. He turned around and shifted his one glowing red eye to the other side and tilted his head in that direction, as if it was weighing his head down. He always did that when he was curious or didn't understand something. "I never figured out a name for you... Do you even have one?" The Duskull nodded happily and grabbed a rock, one of those that you could draw on the sidewalk with. He drew the names Edgar and Edna, and also drew a very fluffy and large dog alone with a blue duck that stood on two legs. Beside them, he wrote Ayanti, and Their final wish.

Jack studied the drawing, then his Duskull, and finally realized what the message was. He froze for a second, then shuddered and fought back the tears rapidly welling up. This Duskull was Edgar's Pokemon, and he had caught it not long after Jack graduated Kindergarten. He was saving it for when he was old enough to go on his own journey, and had told the Duskull what he wanted it to do if he didn't make it out alive from their battle. Wiping his tears, Jack swallowed and looked at his Pokemon. He smiled and hugged it, his shoulders shaking. Ayanti smiled and cried out suddenly, dashing through the walls of their house. He brought back his Pokeball, and carved on it was Ayanti and Will you remember me?. Clearly, this is what the name meant, and that's why grandpa named him that. Giving a great sigh, Jack smiled again and took the Pokeball, claiming it and the Duskull as his own.
Together, they set out on their journey.

Personality: Jack has always been very kind. He loved to help others and felt bad when they did, even if he didn't know them very well. However, he usually did what he felt like. He often ended up dozing off in class or persisting on shoving his opinion on someone else if he truly believed it would keep them out of danger.(Such as going back to an abusive ex) He's stubborn in that kind of situation. He's a little childish, acting on a whim. He'll chase butterflies if he feels like it, or roll down an enticing hill.

Jack's the proud owner of a bright and cheery smile that reflects on his personality. He enjoys company and doesn't like being alone, and is a little immature. Really, all he is is a big seven year-old boy. Pursuing manliness isn't really a priority in his mind, but he's not one of those guys that act like pathetic females. He just does what he feels like.

Jack is very affected by what others say or what they think, as he loves to be kind. If they're not happy, then he's not happy. Therefore, if they're not happy with him, then neither is he. He'll get slightly depressed or mope, though he won't voice it, if someone close gets disappointed in him.(Or something similar)
Also, he's bisexual. c:
