Species Description:

Species History: When you walk by a stone wall, do you ever stop to look at its details? Most people don't, and it's why this Pokemon had eluded many for so long. For hundreds of years, Bryks took the places of fallen stone in walls as humans continued to claim the land as their own. They hid, because they saw the capacity for destruction that humans had with regard to Pokemon. They captured and used their power to steal, destroy, and kill. Bryks that didn't hide in the stone walls took refuge in caves, wanting to hone other skills in order to fend off humans when that inevitable time came.

But time passed, and still humans had not found the Bryks. The ones that replaced stone walls eventually died and became part of the wall itself, and the ones in the caves continued to train and teach their young. One could say that this was a phase of natural selection. Bryks, and their stronger Bryorocks, began to specialize in helping each other during battle. Their bodies grew bulkier, and many began to garner innate defensive abilities and moves. They also became adept at learning punch-ing moves, even though they did not learn any on their own.

Of course, their continuous evolution and training would have to end sometime. Trainers and other humans were pushing through the mountains and exploring the caves, making hiding much more difficult. It was only a matter of time before a Bryk was captured. But trainers weren't stupid; having a Pokemon no one else had was an incredible advantage, so even after the first Bryk was captured, they were still relatively safe. Eventually the word did get out, and a few Bryks were captured for examination, but it was a feat of true significance that they escaped capture for so long, and we can appreciate that.

Bryks have been taught from childhood to be very wary of humans. They are generally aware that not all humans are destructive psychopaths, but their wariness has kept them alive for a very long time, so it's a habit that cannot be easily broken. Much like a dog or cat, Bryks (and Bryorocks) have a decent sense of a human's intentions, and they will openly defy many trainers who do not have the interests of them at heart.

Species Description:

Species History: As time went on, elite breeding within the Bryk species allowed them to evolve. The evolved forms, called Bryorocks by humans, were very large walls, essentially. Possessing immense defensive capabilities, they could work together and create inconceivably large barriers, that would require the strength of hundreds of men to even dent. But this was all theoretical, as their main priority was to hide from humans before fighting them.

With all the time they had, Bryorocks began to study their own beings. How did they come to be? How were they held together, when they were made of rocks and some moss? Their conclusions eventually brought them to the realization of an ancient truth, that anything can be brought to life if there is a power source behind it. They realized that their bodies were connected by constantly-moving streams of energy, and they attempted to understand this power.

When it came to be that time, the Bryorocks tried to stop the cave intrusions as much as they could. They were unable to do so, as they underestimated the human will. But as of today, no Bryorock has been captured, except on camera. That is not to say that there is no trainer-owned Bryorock though, for some were lucky enough to hold a Bryk long enough to see its evolution.

Bryorocks have very wide bodies, allowing them to block attacks for team mates. They are also known to get stronger the more allies they are with, and it is advised that you do not approach a Bryorock if you see one, because there are most likely allies around. Most Bryorocks are not nearly as strong as other Pokemon, but they make up for their lack of strength in incredible defense; a single Bryorock can withstand many attacks for a partner.
