House's Department Store The one-stop supplier of all your building and construction needs!
This port-side department store specializes in building materials, stocking anything a project would need to go from paper to reality. Oddly the 'House' of House's Department Store doesn't refer to the building of houses, but to the owner, Connor House. The first store was started here in Millenia, but also spread to Peddleton after business began to prosper. With such a vast region full of unexplored lands and such potential for expansion, a building supplier like this one turned out to be a wondrous help for the community, as well as a good source of income for the shop's workers. Not only do they assist helping to build above the ground, but the supplies here are also very vital in mining operations, providing the framework that protect the tunnels from deadly collapse.
The department store offers more then just merchandise, also assisting with transportation services to help shoppers with large hauls get their supplies where they're needed. Customers can rent a truck or van depending on the size of their purchase, and for projects based in areas that aren't local to the island, shoppers can choose to have their items shipped by sea to whatever port they desire. Many combine these two services for very long distances, which is no trouble to the shop at all. Assuming of course, that the rented vehicles are returned in one piece.
House's Department Store always supports the "Do it yourself" attitude, but they also know that not everyone is cut out to be construction workers. To further support the expansion of the region, a General Contracting service was created to facilitate those in need with the materials, the personnel, and the know how to have a building created. The customer provides the funding, which may vary slightly from job to job, as well as a layout of what they want built, and the Contracting service will work to get the structure made as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Customers may rent the services of a truck or van if they deem that the size and amount of supplies that they've purchased would be too much for them to carry on their own, or if there's numerous items that need to travel a long distance from the store. This service allows customers to hire a contractor and their employees to build a structure for them, instead of the customer having to build it themselves. The contractor provides the man power and supplies, while the customer is asked to provide payment and detailed plans on what they want built, as well as suitable sized land to build upon. The customer must OWN this land. Prices are judged upon the provided plans, as no two projects are ever completely alike. Size of the project also determines how long it will take to complete, naturally taking longer the bigger the scale. The employees are aided by their own Pokemon, making build times much shorter then with just human hands.
