Area suggestion, if/when found in wild: Gold Rare Duijok Swamp, Platinum Mountain Basic Information: Pokémon Name: Bergaimo [German Mountain + Demon] Pokémon Sprite: [Unavailable, yet] Optional Image: A few inspiration images: http://timswit.deviantart.com/art/Barghest-138213309 http://www.ogametut.free.fr/galeries/04/Barghest%20fight.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e6/Ghost-BlackDog.jpg/300px-Ghost-BlackDog.jpg Species Information: Pokémon Species: Pitch Black Gender Ratio: 50% / 50% ![]() Weight: 187 lbs. Each has a 30% chance of lowering accuracy.] Pressure [Corporeal] / Dark Aura [Non-Corporeal] Special Abilities: Despair [Non Corporeal] Levitation Telepathy Intangible Travel Telekinesis Species Description: Species History: It is said that Bergaimo are the direct agents of Darkrai in our world, living horrible nightmares and agents of doom. Very little is known about them, because they are surrounded by darkness and mists and difficult to glimpse in the wild. No one has gotten a close look at a wild Bergaimo and lived to tell the tale. What is known about these pokemon stem almost completely from legends. It is said that they only appear on moonless nights and that if one walking alone at night hears their eerie howl, they will soon face their death; regardless of if they should meet the demon that night or not. Their eery howls and dark flames are reason enough to avoid going out at night in the areas they are fabled to stalk. The legends of Alternia's mainland say they only appear in the mist and fog of the swamps; the legends of Zaroff island claim they only appear in the foggy cloud-line of Platinum Mountain; it isn't for sure, but these claims seem to support them only appearing in thick dark fog. Their piercing cries and glowing red eyes are the only features spoken of by those that have seem them and lived. An intense feeling of fear and despair pulls over them that they cannot dispel for weeks after escaping the beast. Oddly, those that are raised in captivity; do not have such a huge despicable nature as their wild counterparts. Captive Bergaimo are some of the most powerful dark pokemon and what is known from the few that exist make it pretty clear that the legends about their wild counterparts are at least plausible; though they aren't provable. 1. Umlauts are common in German move name, though, yea you are right there aren't any in pokemon names. It can be transliterated as "ae" or "ai" but neither is exactly the same in pronunciation. 2. English and Chinese are the only languages that don't have at least one Pokemon with a -mon ending. Japanese has Metamon [Ditto] and German has Seemon [Seadra], Flegmon [Slowbro] and Hundemon [Houndoom]. I'm fighting it because using Teufel is a bit vulgar and not as pretty...[Teufel is German for Devil] |

But none of the English ones have Mon in the name. Since this is an English speaking site that uses English speaking names. Remove the Mon. |

Simplify it and take it down a notch. I see so many new ideas, new moves, and tons of attacks. I don't think it should have the different form. Simple it up a bit and it could work... maybe. |

I, too, don't care much at all for the cluster of new attacks and abilities added to this fakemon. As for the two forms, I'd be fine with that seeing as a Barghest is pretty much a ghost anyways, so it makes sense to have both a solid and transparent form. And it's not like we haven't seen pokemon with different forms change types: Shaymin, Arcerus, Etc. pokemon I don't care to look up... But, yeah. I'd say axe off the new attacks and the new ability. Don't use the german names as Pokemon originates from Japan and it's just a tad bit weird to add in a German name to a Japan themed series. -shrug- I wish you all the luck on getting someone to sprite it though.... And maybe you shouldn't argue with the admin/s when they ask you to fix something they have a problem with. It'll only get you further away from being approved. |

I believe this is staying as is. =D Thanks for the Support on it. Intended to be the opposite of flash; instead of bright light causing accuracy loss; the pitch darkness causes accuracy loss. I really like that suggestion though I may use it. Neumond is intended to be the same power level as Morning Sun/Moonlight/Synthesis, BUT with the slight difference of being more powerful the darker it is rather than Sunny Day helping; matching all the darkness loving features and theme of the fake. Schwarze Sonne - It is a weather condition. Standard duration (5 turns). Can act simultaneously with Rain Dance or Hail. Cancelled by Defog, Sunny Day or Sandstorm. The not effecting pokemon with insomnia is a reference to how all the pokemon with that ability are nocturnal; though yea, it isn't all nocturnal pokemon. It's meant to be similar to how pokemon with certain abilities are immune to Sandstorm. This one might be a bit much; need trimming/balancing or be cut; the others not as much. Pulling Dragon Claw out shouldn't be a problem. I'd grouped the "Claws" together and the "Fangs" together; and sorted by perceived power level; I see the group of 6 you're talking about; then I kind of alternated good after...I'll think about it, not sure how to organize it though. I'll think about it; not sure yet. Schwarzbrände = Black Flames Schwarze Sonne = Black Sun Neumond = New Moon English Names just...don't sound as cool. Also Schwarze Sonne is actually an iconic symbol and the title of an awesome song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqDuR1NM7ps Honestly this started with Midnight was taken as a move name and I switched it to Mitternacht; then Schwarze Sonne; did to a number of moves out of Rule of Cool. What Houndoom and Cerberog not enough for you? Yea, very perceptive; this was original to be an evo of Houndoom, until Eevachu talked me into making it a gold rare power level stand alone. If you're wondering, it was a stone evolver (a rarer fake stone that I will use on some fakes still; value probably around $7500) and only gained the new moves (had 8 total moves others were already learned by Houndoom) and one new ability. Thing is though the Berghest isn't quite a dog; more like black bear meets black dog of abnormally large size meets Demon. How much you know about the Bergeist/Barghest? I hadn't heard of it until recent research. Also, Thanks. You are quite right; if I tried to sprite this myself it would be...the single most complex sprite I'd ever attempted and I'd probably fail. Might still try though. On arguing; it's just my nature, stand by my stuff, particularly when I feel strongly about it.

Reading on stuff... Rem and Roku both have valid points. You should try to make it a different typing. I know Dark type might be more fitting for the demon part of it, but maybe going with ghost is the right thing to do. About the sprite, it is going to be a challenge. I'd suggest that you try and get the fakemon information fully approved before going on such a task. If you do a complex sprite, and we deny it, you could use it on another site, yes, but if you decide not to do that you have wasted time and patience and other little things. |

This is more of a correction to the points for Forme Changing Pokemon...Other than Castform there are no Pokemon that can change their form willingly into an alternate and still keeping their basic name (loldittonocount). Fakemon wise. There is one other who IS being switched into an attack to change. The Dark type Weather like attacks....May put this off until Sora and I can finish something. I've been working on this for a while and really I'm just waiting on Racer to have them put up or at least posted in the AU. German...no. |
