Journey | Computer Name: Yoram Lewis Gender: Male Age: 17 Profession: Trainer
Appearance: Yoram stands at a relatively short height for his age peaking at 5'8'' on a good day. His slim build leaves him at a measly 120 pounds. His legs are a bit disproportionately long, but his parents swear to him he'll grow out of it. He isn't really that fit, but he does have some muscle mass gained from a few after school workouts (he went through this whole buff phase for about two weeks when he would just work out all day, like THAT was going to last). His slim, lanky build prevents him from really bulking up.
Yoram's hair is dark brown, and he generally likes to keep it short unless he gets really lazy with his haircuts and just lets it grow out a bit. Interesting thing about his hair though, it doesn't grow down. It grows more out than anything, getting bigger and more scraggly as time goes on. His eyes are a grey-blue mix. Not grey, not blue, but somewhere in the middle. While that may seem cold and dead, when he smiles they really light up.
His general attire consists of a simple pair of blue jeans (complete with a brown belt and everything) and a light green t-shirt. Sometimes if it gets cold he'll throw on a white zip-up hoodie. Sometimes he wears glasses but only when he's really lazy in the morning. Usually he'll take the effort to put on his contact lenses.
Yoram is usually seen with a goofy smile on his face. His eyes will dart from place to place, taking everything in. He'll often have his head in the clouds and his face shows it. It's easy to tell when he's not listening to you because his eyes will be jumping around looking for anything exciting (but usually he's a good listener, only if you're REALLY boring will he lose focus).
Trainer Biography:April 21 1994 Dear Mom, Finally, after long hours of labour, she did it! Rachel gave birth to our first-born child. A healthy baby boy, seven pounds seven ounces. We named him Yoram in honour of dad. I wish he could’ve seen this day. I’m sorry to cut this short but my baby boy’s calling to me. I’ll speak to you soon. Love, Jacob
March 14 1998 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, We regret to inform you that your son Yoram has not been accepted into our early education program. Unfortunately, he did not pass our psychological examination. Do not be discouraged; we at Blackthorn Academy understand that higher learning is not for everybody. We recommend a child psychologist. Dr. Kolesni, Head of Admissions
February 9 2001 Dear Journal, I can’t believe they sent me home today. It’s not my fault! Darren started it! He was the one who pushed me into the mud first, and it didn’t even get that bad until Jeremy came to help me. He was the one who broke Darren’s nose, not me! Stupid school; they didn’t even call Jeremy to the office. Everyone saw him do it. Mommy and Daddy were really mad when I told them I was suspended. And now Dr. Cole’s making me write this stupid journal. Everything’s stupid. I hate everything! Well not Jeremy, he’s my friend. He’s my best friend. That’s all for now, Yoram
June 28 2006 Dear Jacob and Rachel, Yoram’s condition has improved greatly, although he does still exhibit traits of mental instability. Don’t worry it’s nothing to be alarmed about. I’m sure with a few more years of therapy he’ll be perfectly healthy. I lowered his medication to half the previous dosage. My one concern is Jeremy. Even now, years after the beginning of our sessions, we’ve made no progress. There is an experimental treatment, though I’m not sure how well it will work. Please call me so we can discuss this in more detail. Sincerely, Dr. Cole
September 6 2006 Dear Jeremy, I can’t believe your family moved all the way to Alternia! That’s so not fair. They can’t do that to us! Whatever I guess we can’t really do anything about it. They could’ve at least told you so we could’ve said goodbye. The first day of school just wasn’t the same without you. I felt so alone. Nobody would talk to me. I guess you were my only real friend. Hey remember that Darren kid? The one who you totally clobbered when he pushed be in the mud back in grade one? Those were the days. You know I never heard what happened to him. They just told me his family moved away. Kind of like yours, huh? Anyway I’ve gotta go, but I’ll keep e-mailing you every so often. Hope you’re having fun in your new life. Your best friend, Yoram
May 15 2009 Dear Susan, Yoram’s almost done with his first year of High School. I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up. What’s more, it’s been almost two whole years since he’s mentioned Jeremy. I think he’s finally starting to forget about him. That Dr. Cole is a miracle worker. I’ll have to send him a lovely gift for all his help over the years. Anyway I have to run, mom wants to see us over the weekend and it’s a long drive all the way to Olivine from over here in Goldenrod. I’ll write you again soon. Love, Rachel
April 22 2011 Dear Jacob and Rachel, I’m sorry. I really am. I told you the effects might not be permanent, but when he didn’t show any signs for so many years I thought… Well I guess it isn’t important anymore what I thought. I think we all thought he’d forgotten about Jeremy. Unfortunately, with cases like Yoram, these things tend to be embedded deep within their inner psyche. He’s becoming obsessive. That incident at school the other day is particularly troubling. Thankfully the law protects people like Yoram from being charged fully for their actions, but with that incident years ago with that Darren boy and now this… He can’t hide behind the barrier of mental illness forever. I think he just needs time to work out his rising aggression. I suggest he travel the world with a Pokemon. I know I told you before that a Pokemon companion would only increase his capacity for aggression, but I see no harm in giving him a relatively weak Pokemon and sending him somewhere far from home. Not permanently, of course. This will only be a short trip, like an extended vacation. He’s almost done this year of school so we’ll talk more over the next few months. Please do consider this. I’m not only asking as a doctor but as a friend. I’ve grown very fond of Yoram, and I desperately want to see him turn out okay. Sincerely, Dr. Cole
September 7 2011 Dear Jeremy, You’ll never guess! I’m going on a trip to, you got it, Alternia! Yeah, my parents and Dr. Cole said I should take some time to just relax and see the world. They even got my school to freeze my grades and stuff so when I come back I can just start from where I left off. Isn’t it great? I got a Pokemon and everything! I think they called him a Sewaddle or something. He likes to munch on leaves so I think I’m gonna call him Munchy. I can’t wait to see you again. It’s been what, five years? Wow. Time sure flies by. My boat docks at a place called Zaroff Island, so I’ll meet you there. Don’t worry about specifics, we’ll find some way to meet up. I’ll see you in a couple days. Your best friend, Yoram
Personality: Most of the time Yoram is a happy guy. As a child he was always depressed and lonely, especially after Jeremy went away. The other children were either scared of him or thought he was just plain weird. After a few years, they adjusted to him, and he lost his depressed attitude, and it was replaced by a relatively cheerful one.
Yoram is always willing to help out someone in need. He’ll often rush to the rescue without fully listening to what the person has to say or what they need him to do. He usually follows that up with rushing into things without coming up with a plan or even considering the consequences. Those two traits together generally lead to him landing in more trouble than he can handle. Still, Yoram faces the challenge head on and will never give up (although that’s more due to stubbornness than a strongly driven ideal to help people).
All of this contributes to an overall friendly guy. However, if you get on Yoram’s bad side, you will pay. His cheerful disposition can be replaced by a fierce anger. No one is sure what exactly will set him off. It’s a trait that is unfortunately given to him by his mental illness. His meds help him control it, but they can only help so much.

[tabs][tab=Munchy]Munchy The Fearless Sewaddle Munchy was Yoram's first Pokemon, a gift from his parents when he started his journey and his bestest friend. Munchy and Yoram have a very close bond, like the brothers they each never had. Munchy will defend Yoram before even the most fearsome foes. He is a brave little guy, despite his size. He'll take on foes much larger than himself, as evidenced by his battle with Speedy. He seems to be the only one who notices Archos' many attempts on Yoram's life, putting him in many comical situations where he has to defend his bestest bud. He loves munching on nice green leaves and always seems to have a fresh supply even in the middle of nowhere.

Dislikes:- Archos
- Yoram's tendency to get into more trouble than he can handle
- Old, dry leaves
[/tab] [tab=Speedy]Speedy The Cowardly Scyther Contrasting starkly with Munchy, Speedy is a complete coward. Despite his powerful appearance and deadly scythes, he will jump at the slightest movement. In the end, he'll stand up to his fears every time, but it will take him a lot to get to that point. This was highlighted in the battle against Deimos, the dragon queen of the Nothingness. While all the other Pokemon bravely fought despite the very apparent threat, he was shaking with fear. It was all he took to avoid running for cover. Thankfully he could attack from a distance, because he would NOT get close to that thing. He does have redeeming qualities, however. He tries to come off as cool and smooth (often ruined by his cowardice), especially to females, but deep down he's a total softie. His heart will break at the sight of a limp-footted Meowth or Purrloin, and he'll just go to pieces over the romantic reunion of long lost Nido-lovers. Oh, and he hates bullies. If someone big is picking on someone small (or vice versa) he'll become a totally different Scyther. He will forget his fears and rush into the fray to save the day, especially if the victim is Princess, whom he sees as a little sister. Despite his cowardly nature, in the end Speedy is a good fella, and a wonderful friend.
Likes:- Female Scyther
- Melodrama
- Romance
- Princess
Dislikes:- Surprises
- The dark
- Surprises in the dark
- Bullies
[/tab] [tab=Princess]Princess The Kindhearted Slowpoke Yoram won Princess as a prize in the lottery, but that doesn't mean he loves her any less. No, he loves Princess just the way she is - dull and slow-witted, but a wonderfully kind soul. Most everything will go over her head, but she'll try to keep up as best she can. After all, it isn't her fault she's a bit slow. No Pokemon is as determined as Princess is to prove themselves. She knows her intellect can sometimes get in the way, but she doesn't fret. She says nuts to that and goes for gold anyway. That isn't to say she doesn't have her moments of weakness, however. She is certainly sensitive, especially about her smarts and her appearance. She's a little round, but she can't help it! A quick jab at her figure or intelligence (or lack thereof) is all it takes to bring her near tears. All she wants to do is be her best self. Speedy has taken it upon himself to defend her from any would-be bullies. She is extremely grateful for this and plans to repay him in the future. She isn't sure how yet, but she knows she will. Slow and steady wins the race, after all.
Likes:- Helping
- Doing her best
- Friendship
- Speedy
Dislikes:- Bullies
- Being made fun of
- Being left out
- Pity

[tabs][tab=Kaepora Gaebora]Kaepora Gaebora The Sagely Hoothoot Like Princess, Kaepora Gaebora was acquired through the lottery. He is the voice of reason for the group. While everyone else is a wide-eyed optimist, KG is the realist of the party, making sure everyone stays grounded. Of course, his advice isn't always listened to (even though he's usually right). This causes him to feel like he's always ignored and so he makes up for it by rambling on and on and on long after most others tune him out. His intentions are good, but his execution isn't perfect. Still, he loves his teammates like the family they are, and would go against even his own sagely wisdom to help them if they needed it. Of course, he would give them all a lecture about actions and consequences later, but it's the thought that counts, right?
Likes:- Being right
- Telling everyone he was right
- Lecturing
- Rambling
- Being the father figure
Dislikes:- Being wrong
- Being told he was wrong
- Rushing headfirst into danger
- Thoughtlessness
[/tab] [tab=Archos]Archos The Homicidal Beldum Archos was introduced to Yoram's life by saving it. That is, she saved him from a mischievous gang of Unown that were sending him into strange illusionary nightmares. Unfortunately, that was the last nice thing she ever did for Yoram. Due to unforeseeable circumstances dealing with Unown powers, a mental connection with Yoram, and a certain fictional homicidal AI program, Archos' personality was drastically changed forever. She now has only one goal: the eradication of Yoram Lewis. This change in her brain chemistry has lead to many (usually comical) attempts on Yoram's life, often thwarted by Munchy, who is the only one who seems to notice her behaviours. Still, she will obey him if only to keep her cover as a peaceful and well-meaning teammate. However, inside that dark mind of her's she's always plotting, planning her next assassination attempt. She will stop at nothing to destroy the boy she once saved.

Dislikes:- Not killing Yoram
- Munchy preventing her from killing Yoram
[/tab] [tab=Bonks]Bonks The Quiet Lacink Not much is known about Bonks, except that she comes from the Nothingness. This makes her an automatic object of intrigue. Munchy is mistrustful of her, while Speedy is flat out terrified of her. Princess isn't sure what to think, and KG is simply fascinated with her. Even Archos doesn't know what to make of the strange small bunny. Bonks herself doesn't talk much. She does what she's told, no more, no less. One wonders what thoughts twist around that little mind of hers...
