Here you were in Millenia Town, starting all over. Everything was new-the hair, the clothes, and practically the city. You and the rest of the passengers were hurried off the boat and left to explore the town. The town was always bustling due to its coastal position. With that being said, an introduction to the city is necessary, yes? Leaving the port, you and the horde of tourists walked down the streets of Millenia. You passed a couple of shops, highlighting exotic stones or fishing gear. There was the local Pokemart and Pokemon Center. The crowd stopped when they reached Millenia's Gym. Suddenly, the door opened. A young boy walked out looking defeated. Yeah, those gym leaders were mighty strong. The crowd soon dissipated into all directions, leaving you pretty much alone. With the summer sun in the sky, the town's temperature were quickly rising. There was no wind. The town felt sticky and dry. Soon, you found yourself taking refuge at a local cafe near the beach. Fans of all sorts were being blasted, but that did little to stop the sizzling temperature. You sat down at a table under an umbrella. What were you going to do? You scanned the beach. People were either suntanning or swimming in the beach. Then there were trainers out with their pokemon battling. Suddenly, you could hear a squawk. A flock of Wingulls descended on the roof, while some wandered around the floor, looking for scraps of food. You could always try to catch one if you wanted to. [Potential Enemies] 3x / 2x Lv.7

Immediately after stepping - or rather being pushed - off of the crowded ferry, Elsa realized her first mistake. She had grossly underestimated the summer heat of Alternia. Compared to the cool summers spent in England and Germany, the temperature here was almost unbearable, especially once the crowd had entered the city proper and lost the refreshing sea breeze blowing in behind them. Glancing around the group she had followed into the centre of town, she could see that almost everyone else had not made the same mistake - many were in shorts and sandals, and some women were wandering around in little more than skimpy bikinis. While she decided she wouldn't be going that far, Elsa made a mental note to strip off a bit when she next found a changing room, or else her heavy trousers and boots would be the death of her. Over the heads of some of the smaller members of the tourist horde, Elsa could make out a large building right in the middle of town. As the crowd approached the building, she realised this must be one of Alternia's Pokemon Gyms. Having never seen one before, she decided to take a look inside. However, as she made her way to the front of the crowd, a boy not much younger than herself emerged through the doors of the gym, looking down at his shoes in defeat. She considered asking him about the gym, but he had already pushed his way into the crowd and out of sight. Elsa couldn't help but feel a little sorry for the poor kid, but he had been evidence enough that she and Chester were not quite ready for the Gym challenge just yet. With this little spectacle over, the crowd began to disperse in all directions, some deeper into the city, others back towards the beach. Assuming that the beach would be the most likely place to find some changing facilities, Elsa followed suit, wiping sweat off of her brow. After tracing her steps back to the beach, Elsa found that it was no less busy than the town itself - Not only were there queues for the changing rooms, but it looked like there wasn't any room for her to take a lie down on the sand either! She sighed downheartedly, and turned away to scan the beachfront for somewhere to get out of the heat. In the midst of various stores, restaurants and holiday homes, a pleasant little cafe caught her eye, mostly for the large umbrella covering an empty table. She rushed over and claimed the shaded spot, blissful of being out of the baking sun. Catching a glimpse of a couple of trainers battling on an empty patch of sand, Elsa suddenly remembered she was not here alone, and reached into her pocket for Chester's Pokeball, which she subsequently activated, releasing her young companion onto the table in front of her. Once he had materialised, Chester squeaked cheerfully, and hopped around on the table, which was thankfully sturdy enough to support him. "Hey Chester! We're finally here, this is Alternia! Are you excited?" "Woo!" Came Chester's amusingly appropriate response. Elsa smiled broadly. Despite her efforts to be more of a tomboy with her short hair and new clothes, Pokemon always managed to make her feel giddy with delight, and it certainly showed. She watched for a while as Chester danced around on the table, stretching his legs and generally just playing. This delightful scene was soon interrupted by a loud squawk from above, almost causing Elsa to jump out of her seat, to which her Wooper cheered again, akin to a small child. Once she had regained her composure, Elsa discovered the culprit - a small flock of about 5 Wingull had decided to perch on the roof of the cafe, just above her table, presumably looking for scraps. They looked a bit tougher than Chester, who was looking between the birds and Elsa inquisitively, to which she replied by shaking her head. While known to be headstrong and impulsive, Elsa had thought ahead enough to research appropriate type matchups for her only Pokemon, and knew that he would have trouble battling airborne foes, particularly water types such as these Wingull. "Maybe next time," She muttered, before returning Chester to his Pokeball. Wooper did not enjoy warm temperatures such as these, and she did not want to dehydrate the poor thing. Returning his Pokeball into her bag, Elsa stood up, and left the comfort of her shaded table as she noticed an empty changing area near the beach. The Wingull scattered as she walked briskly through them, desperate as she was to cool off a bit. A few minutes later, Elsa re-emerged from the changing room, her warm trousers and boots removed in favour of wearing just her summer dress, opting to walk barefoot on the hot sand, and her heavy rucksack stored safely in a rented locker. She made a beeline straight for the water, paddling through the shallow waves with Chester back out by her side. With the summer heat bearing down on both of them, it was great to cool off in the cold ocean water. The pair continued to wander down the beach, with Elsa keeping an eye out for any potential combatants for her young partner, while keeping his uncommon typing in mind. MILLENIA TOWN, Beach You had left the wingull to go about there business due to not being so what's the word confident, no that isn't it. Maybe you were to smart to fall for the Wingull's ploy of getting your wooper alone so they could destroy it as you watched. You had decided to continue to walk along the shore Wooper by your side. The sun was a beating down on you like a drum it was hot, though the breeze from the ocean air brought in a cool breeze to cool you off. Which you had greatly enjoyed, as well as your Wooper. Due to there being no wind moments ago to being a light cool breeze, it would put a smile on anyone's face. You could see a girl about the age of 16 maybe 17 coming out of the water. She was in a blue swimsuit, with strawberry blond colored hair and icy blue eyes that looked as if she to staring through you to your very soul then at you. Her skin was a pale white, despite her clearly being native to this part of Alternia. She was very much in shape, she was about 5'4, and was clearly about 101 lbs. She had full lips, and she walked over to her blanket which was laid out underneath the sun. A purple umbrella was under her white blanket, as you watched you saw the blanket move. Then you saw a tiny spec of black get up. It saw your wooper and the black thing started going after it. She clearly saw what was going on and went after the pokemon, it appeared to be a Poochyena. The Poochyena stopped in front of your Wooper and smiled, it started to pull on Wooper's whiskers lightly and making funny faces towards your wooper. Clearly this Poochyena was a little comedian doing little things to try and make your Wooper laugh. You watched as the trainer walked up and scooped up the Poochyena. She looked at you and smiled. "I'm sorry I didn't mean for Pits to cause you so much trouble I mean if she did. It's just this little girl has been on a bit of a comedic streak lately she just would rather make people laugh then battle. I have an idea if it's ok with you, we could have a little battle. My Poochyena vs. Your Wooper. Like I said if we battle it would be up to you, not me. She showed a beautiful smile, that would make any man stop and stare. "Oh, I never introduced myself the name is Merryn. She held out a hand politely. I'm guessing you'd have to shake it huh? Potential Enemy: Level 7

Elsa and her young Wooper had continued their stroll along the Millenia shore for quite some time, and by the time they had almost returned to where they started, the sun was noticeably lower in the sky. That and the light breeze that had blown in from the ocean had made the summer heat that much more bearable, and though nobody could complain about how wonderful the weather had been, the cooler temperatures were a relief. After their long walk up and down the beach, Elsa was very thankful for the sunscreen she had generously covered herself with this morning - without it in this weather she would have ended up red as a Corphish! This late into the afternoon, there were more open spaces on the beach, as well as a few empty deckchairs. Elsa quickly claimed one of these, sitting back into it with a sigh of relief. It hadn't felt like it at the time, but wading through the water for what must have been a couple of hours had taken it out of her, and being able to put her feet up as she watched the sunset would be a joyful end to her first day in Alternia. Taking a look down at her arms (with a motherly eye on Chester, who had sat down in between her feet, chanting his name quietly to himself,) she could see the faint signs of her tan coming on, but she was still very pale in comparison to most of the men and women around her. It was fairly obvious who was a local and who was a tourist or a fledgeling trainer like herself... One girl wading out of the water directly ahead of her caught Elsa's eye, mostly for being one of the few who were as pale as she was. She looked to be very similarly built to Elsa herself, at approximately the same height, and it would appear by her slim, athletic body that she was just as much an avid swimmer as Elsa was. She watched as the bikini-clad girl wandered over to a white towel laid just a few metres away from her and Chester, but a shuffling black shape hidden in the shade of a purple umbrella next to the towel caught her eye instead. The shape uncurled, revealing itself as a dog-like Pokemon, and stared directly at Chester. Elsa's heart skipped a beat as the dog suddenly stood up and darted towards her companion. She quickly stood up and was ready to snatch Chester out of the canine's reach... until she realised that it didn't appear hostile at all. On the contrary, it seemed to be making silly faces, which caused the child-like Chester to start giggling. Completely bemused, Elsa continued to stare warily at the strange spectacle until the girl she had been watching joined them, jogging over and scooping her Pokemon up. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean for Pits to cause you so much trouble-- I mean, if she did... It's just this little girl has been on a bit of a comedic streak lately, she just would rather make people laugh than battle..." The girl began apologising, trying to keep Pits comfortably in her arms. She looked down at Chester, who was almost overbalancing himself backwards in an attempt to stare up at his new acquaintance. Noticing him begin to topple, Elsa smiled, and picked the little Pokemon up in her arms. "It's okay, your Pokemon didn't cause any trouble. It seems like these two were getting along quite well!" With Chester now back on eye level with Pits, the dog Pokemon began making more silly faces. An idea sparked in the currently anonymous girl's head. "Hmm.. I have an idea. If it's okay with you, could we have a little battle? My Poochyena versus your Wooper." She asked, sweetening the deal with a dazzling, well-groomed smile. After such a polite request, Elsa would have had difficulty turning her down, but thankfully a friendly battle was just what Elsa wanted. She just had to ask one person first... "Hmm.. What do you think, Chester? Do you think you're ready for your first battle?" "Upa! Upa!" He chirped in response, his face about as determined as a Wooper's was ever going to look. "Well, that's settled then." Elsa smiled, her eyes focused on her new opponent. From a closer inspection, she looked to be less than a year younger than Elsa, and was blessed with piercing ice blue eyes. Her strawberry-blonde hair hung lower than Elsa's, which wasn't all that surprising. Realising that she might have been staring for too long, Elsa brought up an important question: "I'm sorry, what was your name?" "Oh, I never introduced myself! The name is Merryn." "It's nice to meet you Merryn, I'm Elsa North." The two girls shook hands politely. "Let's do this, shall we?" A few moments later, Elsa and Merryn were stood opposite one another on an empty patch of the beach, with Chester and Pits a couple of paces ahead of them. Quickly formulating a strategy in her head, she decided that she would have Chester fire a Water Gun directly at Pits once she begun to charge, before backing off. With a ranged attack at his disposal, Elsa knew that Chester's best bet was to keep his distance from his foe and wear her out from trying to run in the soft sand. Hopefully Chester would have the energy to keep this up, but if things did take a turn for the worse, at least this was a friendly battle, right? |

Millenia Town, Beach You had wanted to do battle with the girl known as Merryn, and her Poochyena named Pits. It would be a great battle especially for Chester and you, considering it was your first. Merryn had watched you give out your orders, and her eyes flicked back and forth between Chester and her own pokemon. "Dodge the attacks as best as you can, then use a Howl attack. After howl takes it's effect, I want you to go in and use a Tackle attack. Do you under-" Her words were cut off, as she saw Pits, start running after her own tail. She(pits) had sped up, running faster trying to get her tail. Well that's not very professional is it? I don't see how she is going to get the win in this battle if this is going to happen. Pits started to laugh as she had gotten to nibble on the ends of her tail. Merryn seemed to crouch down and look at Pits in the eyes as the adorable pup seemed to chew on her tail, not experiencing the pain from the soft nibbles. "Pits, please we're trying to do a battle. Please this is important to me." She had pet the pup on her head, and Pits stopped chewing on her tail almost immediately. Merryn stood back up as Pits started to snarl. It was nothing like the cute playful pup moments ago. Perhaps now she wanted to do battle. "Don't be afraid, she just has a mean streak for battle. Please Pits, do what I told you to do." She laughed, as the pokemon let out a loud Howl, some on lookers stopped in there tracks and looked over at the battle, apparently the Howl was kind of scary to them. You could see how Poochyena's power boosted if only a little bit it did. Chester seemed to watch this as if waiting for his chance to strike the pup. His chance had come as of right now. You could see how the pup started brushing her paw in the sand in the position of a running, like a dog hunting down it's prey. You could see the stiff muscles in the dog contort and constrict as she started to make her way towards your little Wooper. You could see Chester getting ready, though I'm not sure if Pits did. Chester opened his mouth in an O shape, and let out a powerful stream of water, as it cracked against the pup and knocked her off her feet. She had gotten up, and went back to her charge. Though she seemed to be a little shaken she still went forth and charged a tackle into Chester. Chester being part ground type slid back and felt a little bit of the impact. With this round of combat over, it was clearly time for round #2.
