It's the start of a new year, and with that, a Fakemon Contest! For this contest, each entry only must create the very basics of the fakemon.. and along with the additional prizes, the three winners will have their fake fully created for them and added in.
What absolutely must be included is a Name, some sort of image or a very well written description, a type, ability(s), and the history. Other fields are included in the provided template, but they are not required to be filled out for a completed entry. If the submitter chooses not to fill out those forms, we ask that they not include them in their entry, but please stick to the provided template. Each member -one account per person- may only enter one Fakemon line; this does not mean one Fakemon per person, it means one Fakemon evolution family per person, if they so choose. If not linked by evolution, however, it would be counted as an additional entry and unallowed.
The contest will be running from January 3rd until January 30th, at which the entries will then be judged and winners chosen.
No legendaries, Abilities exclusive to legendaries, and please refrain from involving your Fakemon entry with legendaries. The more original the idea and information of your entry, the better chance it has of winning. Prizes include:
1st - $1000, Fakemon created, and their Fakemon spawned at the team's highest level 2nd - $750, Fakemon created, and their Fakemon spawned at the team's average 3rd - $500, Fakemon created, and an egg of their Fakemon spawned Honorable Mentions - $100 and Fakemon sprited -Two Places-

Here is my submission, fully complete. Enjoy!
Withra Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Withra Image/Description:Spoiler: click to toggle Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Ivy Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50 / 50 Weight: 35 lbs Height: 4'8'' Type: / Abilities: Intimidate Special Abilities: N/A Species Description:Species History:Withra is a spiny Grass type that has recently been growing in numbers in the forests of Alternia. They have often been unfairly labeled as demons, with many tall tales growing about their origin. As the stories go, ancient deities created these Pokémon to punish humanity by feasting on their children in the night. This was collaborated due to early sightings being only in the late hours of the night and the chilling appearance of the species. They have been equivocated with harbingers of decay, due to their ability to suck nutrients out of their prey with their pincer-like jaws. Frightened farmers began hunting wooded areas at night, filled with the false notions that these plant Pokémon were threats to their village and forests. Their prejudice was revealed to be unjustified and the hunting of Withra was outlawed. Sadly, Withra still have not completely been able to shake off this reputation and are still regarded with fear and distrust. Even though the species is not demonic in origin, Withra are accomplished predators. Using the darkness for cover, they can sneak up on unsuspecting victims and thrash them with their prehensile limbs which are covered in sharp thorns. They feast on bugs, plants, and anything else they can get their thorny, vine-like appendages on. While the thorns on their bodies do not hold any toxins, they are extremely sharp and assist in creating the frightening aura that Withra use to their advantage. These grass Pokémon also come equipped with three sets of pincers, two as jaw appendages and two that are located on vine appendages located on their upper body. These pincers are claws that serve as hands, allowing them to pick up and manipulate objects or food. Withra are omnivores, which means they can survive on plants or other Pokémon. However, they do not possess chlorophyll and do not photosynthesize. These Grass Pokémon cannot take in and utilize energy from the sun, leaving the powerful move Solarbeam unusable to the species. The first Withra seen in Alternia was discovered by some campers in one of the local forests. The campers were awoken by something rummaging through their supplies and shrieked at the sight of the fearsome Withra searching for an easy snack. They eventually calmed themselves down and tried to approach it, but it merely hissed and vanished into the night. This was one of the first observations that Withra prefer to stalk their prey from the shadows as opposed to taking them on in head-on combat. In recent attempts to study the behavior of Withra, scientists have captured them and raised them in a laboratory setting. Attempts at raising them in a social setting have ended in complete disaster. They are extremely foul-tempered and very territorial. They will lash out at each other to mark out their habitat and dislike when other Withra are nearby. It was also in captivity that scientists learned that only the female of the species has the potential to evolve, whereas males are forced to remain in the more brutal form. It is recommended that only expert trainers try to capture these beasts, for their violent tempers and unsociable behavior make them difficult to raise. Evolution Information: Withra -> -> Dryathorn
Dryathorn Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Dryathorn Image/Description:Spoiler: click to toggle Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Ivy Pokemon Gender Ratio: 100% Weight: 45 lbs Height: 5’10’’ Type: / Abilities: Cute Charm Special Abilities: N/A Species Description:Species History:Unlike the demonic myths surrounding their previous forms, Dryathorn have long been hailed as forest nymphs sent to protect the trees and the creatures that live amongst them. Interestingly, legends and stories portray Dryathorn as guardians fighting off the evil Withra. As a result, it was only Withra that were hunted while Dryathorn populations were left untouched. It took many years for the general population to come to the understanding that Withra and Dryathorn were not opposing forces, but actually members of the same family of Pokémon. Dryathorn have a similar appearance to their previous forms. They are generally taller and slightly heavier than Withra. Instead of spines on their heads, Dryathorn have hair-like leafs that add to their elegance. Dryathorn have not completely lost their spines as they possess the same spine-covered tendril appendages that their previous form possessed. In the process of evolution Dryathorn have lost the pincer-like hands and instead have grown hands with sharp claws. They have also lost the pincers on their face, instead sporting a more humanlike mouth and jaw. Although the large mandibles are gone, Dryathorn still have tiny fangs they can use to tear prey, whether it is flora or fauna. Dryathorn are omnivores, and like Withra do not possess the chlorophyll necessary to undergo photosynthesis. Withra have now been spotted in Alternian forests, moving gracefully and silently amongst the trees. Most observances have only been fleeting glimpses from a distance before they vanish amongst the undergrowth of the forest. Since seeing these creatures for the first time, a scientist determined that due to their similar body structure and abilities, there was a good chance that the two were related species. Since Withra were far more common than Dryathorn, it was hypothesized that Dryathorn was the evolved species. After countless months and years of careful training and tutoring, the scientist failed to find a way to get Withra to evolve unassisted. Finally, the scientist tried using leaf stones, and noticed that only the females of the species would evolve into Dryathorn. The connection between the two species had finally been established! Scientists have learned much about Dryathorn from studying them in captivity. Their personalities are immensely different from Withra. They are not overly hostile, and primarily use their spines and claws for protection rather than as an intimidation factor. Experiments show that while Withra use intimidation to stun prey, Dryathorn are completely on the other end of the spectrum. They use their natural beauty to lure love-struck and fascinated prey to their doom. Dryathorn prefer to live alone, but can exist in a social setting without violence or aggravation. This is mostly due to their shy nature. However, while Dryathorn are much more serene and graceful, they will not hesitate to lash out if they perceive a threat. These beautiful geishas of the Pokémon world are quite deadly, and should be handled with care. Evolution Information: Withra -> -> Dryathorn

Here is my submission, Daroach!
Spoiler: click to toggle Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Daroach (Dark + Roach) Image/Description: He looks very similar to a normal roach except his body is black and he has dark purple eyes. It is exactly 1 and half feet tall and weighs around 22 pounds. It also has two wings that it can extend if it is in danger and has to retreat quickly. It cannot fly very far, more so like a glide instead of flight. Most people fear it as they are not the most attractive pokemon to look at, but there have only been a few cases of where they have attacked humans. When they get more powerful dark type energy begins to surround them like a shadow as they walk. It is also very resistant to radiation after Scientists ran tests on it to see if the theories held any truth. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Roach Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50% / 50% Weight: 22.7 lbs Height: 1'6" Type: / Abilities: Shield Dust/Compound Eyes Compound Eyes- raises the Pokémon’s accuracy by 30% Outside of battle-If a pokemon with Compound eyes is leading the party pokemon, the chance that a wild pokemon is holding an item increases by 50%. Shield Dust-Blocks the added effects of attacks taken. Special Abilities: Bodily Regeneration/ Wall Climb Species Description:Species History:Daroach have been around since fossil pokemon lived and roamed around the earth. Having a very resistant skin and immune system it seems that whatever had taken out the fossil pokemon did not have an effect on Daroachs. During the fossil times, it was rumored that some of the Daroach's grew to the size of a Venusaur and roamed the land during the period after the extinction of the other fossil pokemon. They have proved to have a very resistant immune system even to the point of being immune to radiation. There have always been rumors of Daroachs being immune to radioactive waste, but in the past decade scientists ran tests on the Daroachs to find that the rumors were true. They would put the Daroachs into a chamber and seep radioactive waste and gas into the room and the Daroachs barely even noticed a change in their surroundings. Having found this out, scientists have been able to use Daroachs in a number of experiments that would prove too costly for other pokemon or humans. A single Daroach can be found in most labs around Alternia. Daroachs have proven to hold their own in battle as well. Being millions of years old, you have to have some battle wit in order to survive for that long. As Daroachs progress in their levels more and more dark energy begins to surround their being until it is almost like a dark shadow or cloud constantly following them. The dark energy surrounding them makes them more formidable in battle and can even scare off some predators and humans. While Daroachs are not the most evil pokemon there have been cases where they have resulted in human injury and death. Daroachs have also been known to travel in packs and are seen most often in the urban areas. Daroachs live in what some may call a clan, where they have a head Terroach and he is in charge of all of the one's under him, similar to a Queen Bee. Daroachs are not often seen with trainers as most find the pokemon to be repulsive and the dark energy surrounding them to be quite creepy, but it is not unheard of to see a Daroach or two traveling with a trainer. Usually the Daroach's are only caught after battling the King Terroach of the clan. Once this happens, the Daroach will follow whoever defeated the King and be loyal unto death. Daroach's eat very little and are very easy to maintain as long as they have a dark space to hide and sleep in. They have above average speed and they seldom use their wings unless it is for fleeing a battle. Their dark purple compound eyes can see average in the light, but above average in the dark or nighttime. Evolution Information:Daroach - Level 24- Terroach
Terroach
Spoiler: click to toggle Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Terroach (Terror + Roach) Image/Description: Terroach is a much bigger version of Daroach. He retains his black color and his dark purple eyes. The tips of his antennae are now a dark red color and he also retains his dark shadow cloud around his body. The dark cloud continues to get bigger and follow Terroach as he walks and travels. His wingspan has also increased and with that he is able to fly farther then before. Terroach's font two feet have also grown into long claw like legs and at the tip of the legs is a very sharp point that Terroach can use for attacking. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Giant Roach Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50% / :50% Weight: 77.3 lbs Height: 4'1" Type: / Abilities: Shield Dust/Compound Eyes Compound Eyes- raises the Pokémon’s accuracy by 30% Outside of battle-If a pokemon with Compound eyes is leading the party pokemon, the chance that a wild pokemon is holding an item increases by 50%. Shield Dust-Blocks the added effects of attacks taken. Special Abilities: Bodily Regeneration/ Wall Climb Species Description:Species History: Terroach are the evolution of Daroach. After the evolution Daroach nearly quadruples in size giving it the title the giant roach pokemon. Daroach's front two feet also grow and extend forward giving it another option for attacking. The tips of Terroach's antennae's are now also a dark red. The dark shadow/cloud also continue to follow Terroach. He in general looks much more sinister and dark then his counterpart. Terroach are very formidable foes in battle. There have been cases where Terroachs have been able to take out opposition that was much stronger then itself. Their battle instinct also increases from a Daroach. Terroachs are much more sinister now that they have their size to back them up. There was once a story of the scientist who was experimenting on the Daroach's for radiation. During the test one of the Daroach's evolved, and the Terroach broke out of the containment cell and murdered one of the scientist before finally being taken out by a guard Houndour. After this incident, scientists have strayed away from experimenting on Daroachs or Terroachs. Some trainers can be seen traveling with a Terroach, but most of the trainers are of the darker origin and use them for their own benefit. Terroach's keep their benefit of being resistant to anything radioactive. Many evil gangs and groups have attempted to use this trait to take over radioactive plants, but they are usually foiled if the Terrorach comes in contact with a fire pokemon. Despite what the rumor is about Terroachs, they are not always evil and usually only attacked if provoked or threatened. When put into the right hands a Terrorach can be a valuable asset and a powerhouse for a team if trained correctly. Evolution Information:Daroach - Level 24- Terroach

Scrolarva / Bookwyrm
Scrolarva Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Scrolarva Image/Description:Scrolarva The Scrolarva has a long, thin body with many small appendages. It sits upright within books while searching for food. Once located, it uses the thin pincers on it's head to bore holes through the book, eating as it goes. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Student Pokemon Gender Ratio: :male 50% 50% Weight: 0.4 lbs Height: 7 inches Type: :bug Abilities: Shed Skin, Tinted Lenses Special Abilities: Body Regeneration, Production (silk), Wall Climbing Species Description:Species History: Found in dusty libraries and universities, the Scrolarva is a plague to ancient tomes of knowledge. It is in these ancient works of knowledge where the Scrolarva both eat and nest, turning ancient works into their food and home. The Scrolarva, sometimes called the "student pokemon" is an insect found anywhere that dusty, old books can be found. While many people assume this makes the Scrolarva an urban pokemon, scholars point out that many ruins and lost temples are home to ancient texts, and likely Scrolarva. Because the books Scrolarva consume are old, and generally disused, these books are often in dimly lit areas. It is believed that wild Scrolarva are most active at dusk, because of it's dim lighting. It is unknown exactly why Scrolarva are drawn to books. Some speculate that they are drawn in by the musty smell of dust and mold. However, some research shows that Scrolarva may be consuming the ink on the pages. Experiments show that blank pages in books often go untouched by the Scrolarva. The question then is, why do Scrolarva eat books? Are they simply a mite, that plagues pages? Surprisingly, the answer is no. Scrolarva use the paper and ink consumed within their bodies. It is thought that somehow, by eating words on a page, this pokemon can actually gain knowledge. Evolution Information:Scrolarva -level 18- Bookwyrm
Bookwyrm Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Bookwyrm Image/Description: Dragon body Beatle head Bookwyrms are small, European dragons. Their wings are made from the paper in books, while the scales are made from the cover of a hardback book. The head of the Bookwyrm is distinctly insect-like with large, dark eyes, and pincers near it's mouth. It also has six legs, like most bugs. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Learned Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50% 50% Weight: 2.1 lbs Height: 1 foot 4 inches inches Type: / :dragon Abilities: Shed Skin, Tinted Lenses Special Abilities: Body Regeneration, Production (silk), Wall Climbing Species Description:Species History:
The life cycle of the Scrolarva is a unique and mysterious experience. The creature spends it's days and nights consuming ancient texts. During this time, it may gain enough knowledge to evolve into a Bookwyrm. The Bookwyrm is a very small, and fragile insectiod dragon. It is unclear how the Scrolarva evolves into a partial dragon-type pokemon. Some legends claim that dragons are highly fertile, and able to reproduce with nearly any other being. There are other legends that claim a koi fish that swims up a waterfall can become a glorious Eastern dragon. But, the Scrolarva is not a koi fish. To date, there have been no other appearances of a bug/ dragon pokemon, making the Bookwyrm distinct. There are several interesting observations that can be made of the Bookwyrm. Firstly is it's physiological make up. Where the Scrolarva simply eats books, the Bookwyrm's body is made up of the books consumed. It's wings are paper, complete with readable text. The fine scales of the Boodwyrm seem to be made from the covers of hard-backed novels. Multi-hued inks make up the pokemon's pigmentation. Another interesting observation can be made of the Bookwyrm. Their behavior and personality seem to correlate with the subject matter of the books that Scrolarve consumed. Bookwyrms raised on the Twilight novels act like emo teenagers. However, separate Bookwyrms which fed on mathematic textbooks seem more logical and intelligent. A third note can be made of the Bookwyrm. When severally injured, both Scrolarva and Bookwyrms can eat more books to replace lost or damaged limbs. These regenerated parts tend to be slightly off color, compared to the healthy body parts, but function perfectly. Evolution Information:Scrolarva -level 18- Bookwyrm

Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Equus (EH-kwiss) Image/Description:
"Mare"
"Stallion"
Because I included images of both the mare and stallion, there is no shiny form of the pokemon included. Since Shinies rarely play a part, here, anyways, it seemed unnecessary. Stallions have always been known to have cropped manes, and mares; long lavish ones. It's not sure why. Even when they were thought nothing more than beasts, a mare who's mane and tail were cut would grow back far quicker than any normal horse's mane and tail.
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: The Painted Horse Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50/50 Weight: Around 312 lbs Height: Females: 5'11", Males 6'7" Type: Rock/Grass Abilities: Tunnel Vision & Blind Bond Special Abilities: Blind Bond: (Purely cosmetic, roleplay-specific...) After this pokemon has been close to a human for a certain amount of time, the human and pokemon form a strong emotional bond. If a trade is attempted after the bond has been made, Equus is liable to run away. Blind Bond functions the same in regards to other Equus: They mate for life, much like old-world wolves.
Species Description:
Species History: Equus has somehow remained an elusive member of the world so far, though they travel in large herds. Perhaps it has something to do with their perfect identicality to wild mustangs. Many didn't believe they were pokemon, when the idea was introduced, and instead collected them for their beauty. It wasn't until someone discovered that the strange creatures could offer mild telepathic connections, maybe half as strong as a girafarig's, and only slightly stronger than that when given training, in most cases, and that all the captured Equus were female, that anyone even thought to go looking. What was found was startling. Most of the breed took on the patterning of an old-world paint horse, with splotches of color dotting their pelts here and there. The 'Shiny' variation was usually considered 'appaloosa', and all that really meant was they had mostly single-color coats and uniform manes and tails.
When males were found, the scientists were sure someone had slipped drugs into their morning tea. The stallions they found were some of the most magnificent colors; greens and blues and bright pink, while the females maintained mostly normally-colored coats of browns and silvery-blues, blacks, ginger, and white.
Extensive research was done, and it was found that the mares travelled mostly during the day, and the stallions only at night, though they weren't necessarily nocturnal. It was decided that this was an arrangement in the herds to protect their numbers from being taken too willingly from their homelands.
Since their discovery, Equus have been found to home themselves wherever they might find shelter, from the marshlands, where their hooves split for better ground, to the valleys, and to the mountains, where their figures grow more rugged and practiced to their homes, becoming much like mountain goats. As a species, though, they seem to prefer valleys and lightly-wooded areas to swamps and mountains, usually living alone or in small herds in the later occasions.
When they finally captured some stallions to study in their herds, and later managed to find a pair of Equus willing to stand together, they learned further that the horses mate for life... And are born entirely blind. Many never manage to open their eyes, if they're not encouraged to: It is discouraged by the herd as the broken sight they would posess is considered a hindrance.
Once a year, the Equus will gather their herds in their homelands, whether they are kept by trainers or farmers, for a family reunion. It's assumed family is highly important to the creatures, who will often try to bring their trainers and farmers with them.
Equus have been found to be very fond of sun- and moon-bathing, so it is often recommended that trainers stop to let their Equus have their moments. Evolution Information: Equus does not evolve.

Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Oiseau (Oh-sey-oo) Image/Description:
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: Emu Pokemon Gender Ratio: 70% | 30% Weight: 73 lbs. Height: 4'02" Type: | Abilities: Chlorophyll & Run Away Special Abilities: N/A
Species Description:
Species History: Oiseau are commonly found in forests, but because they are so weary of humans, they are quick to flee upon encountering one. They are relatively dark colored and blend in well with the shadows of the forest, and some green splotches on their bodies to help them with blending in with shrubs when they are nesting. These green splotches can range in size and can be anywhere on their bodies, but the most common area is on their backside. There are even records of Oiseau that are entirely green or entirely black with no traces of the other color on their bodies. Despite being flightless, they still have wings; their wings have a dull indigo color on the tips. Their eyes are a gorgeous emerald coloration, that stands out well compared to their dark complexion. They can have anywhere from one to five of the leaf-like appendages on their head, but the basic number is three. Another unique feature about Oiseau, are their long, feathered tails that fade from a dark teal at the base to a vibrant green at the tips.
These Pokemon are mostly found in flocks, but capturing one may not be that easy. Despite the fact that they are common, Oiseau are speedy demons and capable of sprinting up to 90 mph. Their long legs must be strong for them to reach these speeds, but they serve another purpose besides that. If cornered, Oiseau will fight back with a variety of powerful kicks, doing extreme damage to their opponent in an attempt to get away. Whenever they see an opening, they will dash for it and attempt to make their get away. If they are given a chance to escape, there is almost no way that they can be chased down a second time.
The diet of the Oiseau is pretty simple, most fruit and insects will suffice as a decent meal. Although, there have been records showing that some Oiseau will even feast upon left overs of another pokemon's kill. Because of Oiseau being a big fan of fruit, they are seen as a pest to the farmers who have land nearby wooded areas as they will emerge in the cloak of night and devour twice their weight in crops. Farmers have tried to prevent this invasion by using fences, but the Oiseau will hop right over or dig a trench to wiggle under them. Some farmers have even begun to use attack Pokemon, such as Growlithe and Houndour, to protect their crops. This habit is even worse during the months of May, June, and July as the Oiseau will eat even more to feed their offspring.. Resulting in more injured, or even killed, Oiseau.
When it comes to family, the Oiseau female is not the typical mother for their young. A female will seduce a male into mating with her, acting completely loving with him, until she lays her eggs. Once the eggs are laid, she will up and leave the male with the responsibility of caring for the chicks. It is unknown why the female leaves, or even where she goes, but the father Oiseau is perfectly capable of raising the children on his own. The chicks will grow in a matter of months, and within four to six months since their hatching they, too, will leave the father behind to go on with their lives. With no more family to care for, the male will go on and repeat this process with another female; once again being stuck heartbroken and raising the kids.

Sorry if it sucks... my first time creating a Fakemon and ACTUALLY submitting it, but yeah, here it is:
Spoiler: click to toggle Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Herbadecot Image/Description: This Pokemon has a humanoid figure, similar to that of a Machop in it's figure and the shape of it's head. Sprouting out of it's entire body in little shoots is dead, decaying brown grass that has a foul stench. The shoots are not sprouting out enough to be seen greatly, but just faintly sprouting out, and can only really be seen well on it's head in a tiny moehawk shape. It's eyes are like two, dark green holes, and have an emotionless expression that can be seen within them. It's mouth is unable to be seen most times, but when it opens it's mouth, it looks like a dark hole and a foul odor is released. It has no nose to smell itself thankfully, just a small bump in that area to replace it. It's arms, legs, body, head, and basically everything that's it's skin is bright green. It has claws coming out of it's hands and feet (toe claws in the case of feet) are the same brown color as the shoots. When it's shiny, the color of it's skin and the color of it's shoots, toe claws, and hand claws switch. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Dead Grass Pokemon Gender Ratio: 80% | 20% Weight: 54.0 lbs Height: 3'11" Type: | Abilities: Stench & Intimidate Special Abilities: Danger Scent, Telekinesis Species Description:Species History: The story of Herbadecot is a strange one, in that Herbot was created indirectly by humans. Through the greed of mankind, they have cut down forests, built factories, and let their farm Pokemon graze excessively on territory. This caused damage to the land, leaving scars that would never disappear. These scars are prominent around the areas closer to Kijutsu City especially, but appear everywhere in some way, shape, or form. The Pokemon of the lands are often forced to move into different lands, only extending the time that they are able to survive. Sometimes, the contact humans have with mother nature only hurts themselves though... Which brings the story to one day in Kijutsu. It was dark, the sky was as gloomy as it always has been from the factory work. In one of the factories that dealt with relocating radioactive material, a man was assigned to move the material to a waste dump that was created in place of a small forest. The man agreed, taking the glowing, green material, loading it into his truck, and driving his way down there. He made it pretty quickly, and he dumped the waste, but then the unknown happened. For reasons no one knows, a figure started to rise from the dead grass area. It seemed as if the deceased soul from the dead grass as well as all of those dead, people and Pokemon alike, buried underneath it somehow interacted with the physical dead grass and mixed with the radioactive material, which was the catylyst in the occurence of this event. The figure was glowing bright green, similar to the material spilled in the area, and it took the shape of a humanoid Pokemon. It opened it's mouth, letting out an eerie noise, and the fearful man started running into his truck to get away. However, for reasons still not known, the man was still unable to escape the wrath of the Pokemon, and came back a completely different man. Scientists and investigators of different kinds came to study the area and see what could've happened on that night. They gained all the information they could, such as how much of the material was dumped and the condition of the area it was dumped in. They found out that there may be more than one of these creatures that wandered about from the amount of waste left, which was absolutely zero waste. They gained description of what the monster looks like, and they made detailed pictures based off of what the man could say. Yet he couldn't say which direction they went in or how many they were, but from the looks of them and the description he gave, they seem pretty fierce. Evolution Information: Does not evolve

Fauon Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Fauon [Fawn] Image/Description: Species Information:Pokémon Species: Leaf Fawn Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50 | 50 Weight: 40.0lbs Height: 1'11" Type: Abilities: Herbivorous or Leaf Guard Special Abilities: Nature Restoration Species Description:Species History: Fauon are very small, baby deer-like Pokemon. With a dark chocolaty color and leaf-green spots covering it's back, the Fauon can blend in almost perfectly to their deep growth habitat. They have a large leaf growing from their forehead which grows larger with age and smaller leaves which form a sort of tail. Although they tend to be shy these grass types are very loyal to their trainers and to their birth forests, walking around and restoring health to their territories. Fauon travel in small family herds with their larger evolutions, Roeon. Females will stay with their birth herds for most, if not all, of their lives in this stage. Males, although rare in this stage of evolution, will sometimes be evicted from the herd as they reach maturity. Fauon are very well known for their ability to lay or stand perfectly still in the presence of threatening Pokemon, making them hard to find than their larger evolutions in the old growth. As a recently discovered species, not much is known about them or Roeon. It appears, at this point, that they only inhabit Alternia island as well. Their behavior is similar to that of Stantler with their young. Baby Fauon will stick with their Roeon mothers for months after birth, maybe longer since Roeon only lay eggs once every other year. The two, mother and offspring, form very strong bonds in the process. Fauon are a common choice for coordinators, their small size and considerably cute appearance please the crowds as well as their amazing ability to heal plants leave coordinators with many options. Trainers are also fond as these Pokemon are extremely loyal and hard workers, usually. Breeders could learn a lot from these Pokemon as well as their breeding processes, courtship, and possibly ruts make for very interesting research subjects. Evolution Information: ---> ---> Roeon Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Roeon [Row-on] Image/Description: Species Information:Pokémon Species: Roeleaf Deer Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50 | 50 Weight: 177.0lbs Height: 5'03" Type: Abilities: Herbivorous or Leaf Guard Special Abilities: Nature Restoration Species Description:Species History: Roeon pokemon are rather elusive, as far as modern people have discovered thus far. Traveling in smaller family herds, no more than 10 to a group, Roeon live deep within forests where few have traveled. It has only been a couple years since the discovery of this pokemon and its pre-evo, most information has been kept under wraps by researchers until recently. The researchers refer to these pokemon as the mighty protectors and guardians of the old growth forests. Guarding their herd's territory fiercely, Roeon pokemon also revive the lives of withered plants they find along the way, efficiently restoring grazing areas so travel is minimal. Traces of Roeon herds can also be found in high mountain forests, but encountering them is slim to none. The average Roeon deer is almost 6 feet tall at the head and 177 lbs. They have varying shades of brown coats and there are stories of even white individuals being spotted, but just myths I assure you. They have large, flat leaves covering their heads and a large leaf in place of a tail. The Roeon deer's coal black antlers can curve in various directions, it differs with each individual, but antler curve direction and severity are hereditary. Unlike most deer, Roeon deer do not shed their antlers and even females have antlers. Having large ears, they are always alert for sounds and are skiddish making them hard to track down. Only when trapped will they turn and fight, preferring to flee instead of confrontation. Roeon deer have a very low reproduction rate, laying only one egg every two years, but can live to be very old. This species is also more aggressive, to each other, than normal deer. Behaviorally, they act more like wild horses, always stealing does or fighting for territory. When they reach sexual maturity, Stags will cast out young bucks from the herd to prevent inbreeding with their does. These cast out bucks will eventually join a bachelor herd or fall prey to starvation/predators/etc. Being social creatures, they do not last long on their own. Females usually stay in their birth herds until stolen by a stag or they leave of their own accord. Scientists really do not know much more about Roeon deer. They assume that ruts occur, just as with other species, and that they migrate for winter to lower grounds but this has not been confirmed just yet. They are also not sure what exactly their diets contain as well or what species prey on the deer. Any trainers who can help with these matters will be extremely helpful. Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Chimerant Image/Description: Large bipedial beasts. Main body is animal based. Similar to a lion's body. Heavy and stocky. The head is very lionesque, mane included. Only oddity for the head is a large mandible jaw similar to an Ant's. Its arms and legs are also insectoid, but thick. They have tails that are tipped with a Snake head.
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: Chimera Pokemon Gender Ratio: 75% | 25% Weight: 170 lbs Height: 7' 4" Type: Abilities: intimidate | Hyper Cutter Special Abilities: Telepathy**, Body Regeneration, Wall Climber
Species Description:
Species History: An odd species of Pokemon found deep within the jungles of Alternia. With bodies that just don't seem to match completely and with primitive and aggressive natures, these Pokemon have been written off as highly violent and extremely dangerous. Living in large colonies deep within the Forests and Jungles Chimerants survive through bascis hunting instincts. The Males forage for large game while the females search for berries and other plants that can be eaten.
Although primitive in nature, these Pokemon are well organized. The Pokemon are set up in an odd assorted Hierarchy of a Queen, Her guardians which consists of 4 of the strongest Chimerants in the colony, then its the guards of the entire colony, and lastly the drones which do the hunting and searching of food.
Chimerants have been shown to have telepathic abilities that varies between the classes within a colony. The young don't start off with the ability, but eventually learn to communicate with the others telepathically. Other abilities they have seem to be bodily regeneration, albiet a slow process, a Chimerant can regrow most limbs lost during hunting expeditions within a matter of days. They also seem good at scaling even the smoothest surfaces they can find.
Chimerants are highly territorial and will go to war with any other large groups of Pokemon that invade into their territory. They attack is small groups of five when they hunt or when they are defending their homes.
First capture of one of these Pokemon was an accidental one by a lone trainer that ventured into their territory. After a hard fought battle the young trainer managed to escape the rest of the colony that was chasing him with one of their young captured in the Trainer's Pokeball.
Although the Chimerant was taken from its home and made slave to a species different than itself, it didn't seem to be effected in any way. They are creatures bred to serve and obey their leaders. The boy eventually led a small team of scientists back to the colony's nest where they conducted their studies.

Finished...Three Hours Late
Basic Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Crueech [Cruetius (latin: bloody) + Leech] Image/Description: A very long, thin, snake-like body, coils back behind the pokemon, long enough that one usually would never see it's heads and tail at the same time, if they saw it at all. Around a foot and a half behind the heads the body splits into three necks, each equally sized and not much thinner than the body/tail. Each head has no visible eyes, only fangs, many fangs spiraling back into the pokemon's body. The pokemon's body itself is segmented and black like a worm. Species Information:Pokémon Species: the Cestode Pokemon Gender Ratio: 100% Weight: 18.6 lbs (unfed) - 42.0 lbs (engorged) Height: 7'08" Type: Abilities:Life Blood: Draining moves heal 100% (rather than 50%) of the energy drained. Swift Swim Special Abilities:Plague Spawn: Every time it feeds (drains it's 50% of it's total HP from opponent(s)); it can lay an egg. Hermaphrodite: Although capable of producing eggs on it's own, this pokemon can also reproduce with both males and females in it's egg group; likewise it can effect and is effected by attract from both genders. Body Regeneration Species Description:Species History: It's long been established that Aerodactyl can be revived from Old Amber due some sort of bug pokemon having been trapped in the amber with a bit of the creature's blood inside of it. What wasn't known was what the creature was, how it got had gotten trapped in tree sap so commonly or why the Aerodactyl, being such a great large powerful pokemon had died in the first place. All the answers came from a routine Aerodactyl reanimation "gone wrong" a fabulous mistake. The DNA that had been extracted from the amber was not of the pokemon intended, but of the creature that so commonly stole the blood of Aerodactyl, Plaguito. On the revival machine there was a strange bug type, the likes of no human had seen before. The pokemon was heavily studied, but considered harmless and released into the care of the trainer who had brought in the Old Amber. As the pokemon became stronger and it's bloody tendencies were revealed it became obvious that the cause of the great extinction was the combination of a change in climate, becoming warmer and more humid causing the rise of these pokemon and ancient Yanmega and a great disease spread by their bites, which apparently occurred at least to many Aerodactyl. Modern pokemon appear to be mostly immune to the diseases carried by Crueech and Plaguito, but the immune systems of the ancient pokemon weren't ready for such a shock. The original trainer, the "typhoid Mary" of the new infestation of Plaguito had little idea of the power of the pokemon he had received, as the pokemon began to produce eggs of it's own body and rapidly reproduce, this was seen as a way to make money, selling pokemon and not the sizable threat of a fossil species entering the environment. Once out in the modern day, these pokemon spread like wildfire. Procreating and spreading everywhere there was enough water. The young Crueech living within the waters of most lakes and ponds in Alternia and the adults taking to the skies to spread the species. Fortunately the pokemon aren't deadly to most modern pokemon, though they are considered to be the reason that Psychic and fossil pokemon are very rare to spot in the wild; whether or not they are actually at fault is not to be known, though many a desiccated corpse of smaller pokemon has been attributed to the bloodsuckers. In backlash to these events, scientists devised methods to keep the pokemon out of many of the lakes in the region for both human safety and that of the fish, such as Magikarp. The deterrents and poisons have kept their numbers down from the initial plague that came down, though a few are still a common site in these water sites and someone in a less populated area, such as a forest should think twice before stepping into any pool of water as enough of these pokemon may exist under the surface to completely desiccate the person, draining all the blood from their body, leaving only a dry, dusty corpse. Swarms of these sizes are rare as large amounts of prey would be necessary to sustain the population. A tale-tell feature of pools is they are darker and calmer than the larger lakes of the area. The dark color is due to the slight acidity and mold-growth the pokemon cause in the lack of normal fish. They only live in stagnant environments as well, moving water is unable to sustain the pokemon. Evolution Information:Crueech -14-> Thanalyst -18-> Plaguito First Stage Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Thanalyst [Thantos (Greek: Death) + chrysalis + catalyst] Image/Description: Three pulsating orbs, which sort of appear like a blood strewn heart and pair of lungs. The heart beats and the lungs still inhale exhale, each having cracks in them that serve as eyes and mouths. Thanalyst attaches itself to objects by a black blood-cot-like material the same way silcoon and cascoon use their silk. Species Information:Pokémon Species: the Still-Beating Heart Pokemon Gender Ratio: 100% Weight: 45.7 lbs. Height: 2'01" Type: Abilities:Life Blood: Draining moves heal 100% (rather than 50%) of the energy drained. Stench Special Abilities: N/A: While in a cacoon, it's reproductive system is temporarily shut down as most it's energy goes towards evolution. Species Description:Species History:When a Crueech has drained enough blood and gained enough strength, like any other bug it forms a cocoon, though unlike the bugs of silk and weaving, this creature of blood uses, what else? Blood. Some say the pokemon must completely desecate a victim and use some of it's rotting flesh in it's cocoon; other's say that it spouts out blood the same way a Caterpie spouts out it's silk; still others say that it crawls inside a sleeping pokemon and tunnels through ripping out it's heart and lungs on the way out. Sightings of the actual evolution event are rare, it's something the pokemon seems to be secretive about when captured and scientists have been too preoccupied with finding ways to get rid of the wild pokemon to do clear studies on their evolution; thus such outrageous claims are thrown into the same category as Mew sightings, mad rumors of other naturally occurring phenomena. The pokemon itself is compromised of three spherical pulsating orbs, which in appearance are somewhere in between spider egg-sacks and mammalian heart liver and lungs. The stench put off by these is enough to steer away most people and pokemon, the disturbing appearance seems to ward off the rest. Inside each of the spheres the pokemon's three heads fully develop and unlike it's pre-evo and fully evolved forms, this pokemon is mostly helpless and focused in it's evolution. Evolution Information:Crueech -14-> Thanalyst -18-> Plaguito Second Stage Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Plaguito [plague + mosquito] Image/Description: Where three huge spherical compoundeyes should be on a real mosquito, there are three individual heads, each with a face. They appear to all be focused on the same goal, each only serving to look in a different direction. Below them is a long, steel syringe-like "beak", which it uses to steal blood from other pokemon, usually resulting in the death pokemon smaller than itself. It's body is long and thin, more like a dragonfly than a mosquito, but it's wings and long-jointed legs appear like it's real world counterpart. Species Information:Pokémon Species: the Mosquito Pokemon Gender Ratio: 25% / 75% Weight: 184.3 lbs. Height: 8'04" Type: | Abilities: Life Blood: Draining moves heal 100% (rather than 50%) of the energy drained. Levitate Special Abilities: Species Description:Species History:Plaguito, often called the plague pokemon by the large community of haters are known to travel in swarms; these pokemon constitute much of the reason ranch-owners and home-owners spray their boundaries with repel. These pokemon require the blood of other pokemon (or in rare cases, humans) to live; not accepting other forms of food. They are capable of draining half their body-weight in blood, though unlike Crueech, they cannot continue to drain blood from a victim after it's blood pressure gets too low, thus preventing them from killing pokemon (or bothering to feed on smaller ones), but still they have a bad reputation as killers of ranch pokemon; the only circumstance in which this is correct is upon pokemon that are weak to the viruses these pokemon frequently carry, which are believed to be among the reasons for the rarity of many pokemon. These viruses are peculiar and appear to have different effects on different pokemon. During it's evolutionary process, the pokemon lost it's ability to breed with itself and became mostly female. The pokemon's focus seems to still be on reproduction; however the adults cannot do so as fast as the younger pokemon; though with the power of flight, they are capable of spreading their spawn to new ponds and lakes, thus causing the pokemon to be spread across long distances. It's of note; however, that though these adults can go anywhere, their eggs can only develop and hatch in areas above twenty degrees celsius, in bodies of stagnant water. This keeps these pokemon from going into deserts or into colder areas, despite their ability to do so. Evolution Information:Crueech -14-> Thanalyst -18-> Plaguito

----------------------------------STILL IN PROGRESS-------------------------------------------
Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Leafighter (working name) Image: Sketch Description: It's head is made of one leaf, the stem of which connects mid-way up the back, allowing the body part to curl back up on itself like the bottom of a ninja mask, and the tip curls forward, mimicking the front of the hood part of a ninja's head wrap. It's body is made up of the stemp that connects the leaf to the small shrub-like base.
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: Fighting Leaf Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50/50 Weight: Height: averages around 1 foot at full height, about 4-5 inches when retracted into it's personal shrub base Type: Grass / Fighting Abilities: Overgrow Special Abilities: N/A
Species Description:
Species History: With it's own small shrub-like base, which it can retract into to hide, Leafighter have been known to position themselves under bushes and low-laying trees, perfectly camoflaging itself from larger predators until it's ready to strike, so it's not at all uncommon for a victim to find themselves suddenly surrounded by an attire 'pack' of Leafighter before they can see it coming. It's two arm-like lead to bundles of smaller, thin leaves that spread in a hand-fan like fashion, which it uses to launch attacks mimicking the ancient martial arts practice of fan fighting. It can also occasionally jump (up to a foot and a half to two feet) in the air, retracting into the bush-like base, to flip through the air.
As alluded to above, Leafighter are most often found in groups, mostly due to it's diminutive size. By working together, and using their lightning-fast movements, they aim to confuse and disorient their targets to keep from being hit. This can become quite problematic for those not expecting such an assault.
Very little is known about Leafighter, as they are rarely easy to spot, when not attacking, and usually disappear pretty quickly when feeling threatened, so little is known about the societal and familial habits of this tiny mystery, but judging by it's 'strength in numbers' mentality, it can be assumed that whatever group they do form are very close. They are also known to be incredibly territorial, when it comes to the plants and forrests they inhabit.
Evolution Information: While researchers have not been able to test this for absolute certain, the gender ratios of it's evolutionary decendents would suggest that male Leafighters evolve into Ninjanium, while female evolve into Samurose.
Evolutionary Form #1
Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Samurose (working name) Image: Sketch Description: A rose-shaped body, with large shining black eyes and tiny, dark red lips. Half way up it's stem is a cluster of leaves that appears to be positioned like a small top, with it's seperate stemmed arms growing out to the sides to much larger leaves that serve as hands. It appears to generate small flowers with razor-sharp edges that serve as makeshift shurikens. At it's base, Samurose has a series of long, thin leaves similar to the fans of it's evolutionary predecessor, forming what appears to be it's mimickry of a human woman's skirt.
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: Rose Warrior Pokemon Gender Ratio: 100% female Weight: Not Known Height: approximately 2 feet Type: Grass / Fighting Abilities: Overgrow Special Abilities: N/A
Species Description:
Species History: Samurose appears to glide across the field on a skirt-like cluster of long, thin leaves, which grow downward from it's stem-shaped body. It's entire body, made up of stems, can best, twist and contort into all manner of positions. It's primary weapon appears to be the small, razor-sharp flowers it retrieves from within the shoulder-height cluster of leaves around it's midsection, which it is known to both use in hand-to-hand style combat, as well as throw in a shuriken-like fashion.
In the wild, Samurose are very reclusive. Their usual fighting tactic seems to be to withdraw from the bushes and underbrush of the forest only long enough to launch an attack, then disappear into the thick again. In this way, and maintaining it's group mentality from it's earlier form, a small group of three or four Samurose can create the illusion of being attacked by an entire army. Strangely, though, Samurose are very rarely seen with their male evolutionary counterpart, Ninjanium. It's not known exactly why this is the case, but assumption is that somehow they reproduce by way of cross-pollination, and thus don't require any sort of direct interaction. The same distance, however, doesn't appear to be required between Samurose and the unevolved Leafighter. It's this point that has lead researchers to believe this particular evolutionary family is primarily matriarchal.
Evolution Information: See above
Evolutionary Form #2
Basic Information:
Pokémon Name: Ninjanium (working name) Image: Sketch Description: A body of long, thin stems, the arms of which are fashioned into long whips, with small barbs sticking out on all sides. It's head it a half open flower, the pedals at the top of which (the open side) hang loosely behind it, mimicking a human with long hair. The bottom half remains closed, just below it's pointed black eyes, looking like a ninja's face mask.
Species Information:
Pokémon Species: Thorn Whip Pokemon Gender Ratio: 100% male Weight: Not Known Height: approximately 2 feet Type: Grass / Fighting Abilities: Overgrow Special Abilities: N/A
Species Description:
Species History: The reclusive member of it's evolutionary tribe, Ninjanium distinguishes itself through it's ability to move between hiding under shrubberies and low-lying trees like it's counter parts, to using its barbs to climb up into trees, and using it's whip-like arms to swing between nearby branches. The arms also serve as powerful weapons, as they appear to be able to stretch to nearly twice their normal length, as the leg stems quickly dance around the opponent, using it's reach to it's advantage. The thorn also appear to be tipped with a mild venom that occasionally poisons it's opponents.
Once a male Leafighter evolves into a Ninjanium, it seems to give up it's ties to it's society, distancing itself from it's female and unevolved forms, though on occasion small groups of no more than 3 or 4 Ninjanium have been seen to cluster together to defend eachother.
Ninjanium's more solitary nature often dupes would-be predators into thinking they will be an easier target, but they quickly find this illusive pokemon's superior speed and agility makes it nearly impossible to hit. They also have an uncharacteristically aggresive nature for a grass pokemon, lashing out with a brutal ambition for victory. It is said that once a Ninjanium is angered, it will fight to the bitter end, no matter the outcome.

My idea...
Cholefoli Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Cholefoli Image/Description: Basic picture.Better picture of face. There are several dark green buds distributed throughout the fur of the Cholefoli that open when the Pokemon evolves. These buds provide the basis of most of its attacks. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Tree Sloth Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50% | 50% Weight: 18.0 lbs Height: 2'04" Type: | Abilities: Chlorophyll & Effect Spore Special Abilities: Danger Scent Species Description:Species History: Rarely seen along the ground, the small and slow Cholefoli spends the majority of its life hanging in the trees. Their large claws make perfect branch grippers as well as good last lines of defense. With sloth-like grace, they crawl upside down from tree to tree, feasting on leaves and the occasional moss clump. Their terribly slow movement translates into a slow metabolism, meaning the Pokemon eats very little a day. It is considered to be Alternia's tree dwelling Slowpoke although it does have faster thought processes. An independent creature, it spends the majority of its adult life by its lonesome, only meeting others when crossing paths or to mate. The eggs are carried on the belly of the mother Cholefoli until it hatches. The newborn clings to its mother for several days before it is strong enough to stake out a tree of its own. Cholefoli hatched from Raffamega are transported to the nearest forest and placed into a tree to fend for themselves. During the warmest parts of the day, these Pokemon can be found right under the top branches, absorbing sunliight for the buds to grow. This is when most Cholefoli are attacked by swift flying predators and picked off before they realize what has happened. At night, this Pokemon hangs closest to the trunk of the tree. It is able sleep completely upside down with its claws dug into the branch. Once asleep, its body stiffens and resembles either a group of vines or giant moss clump to the unassuming eye. Immune from the effects of any poisonous plants, it metabolizes the special toxins from the leaves into its own attacks through the numerous buds on its body. The buds are its first line of defense, spewing out a foul smell first before moving to more powerful attacks when this Pokemon is threatened. Although mostly relying on status effects, many have been provoked to attack with damage-dealing moves like Razor Leaf and Magical Leaf. Cholefoli are very vulnerable if they fall to the ground. Young ones are often the victims here as their climbing and hanging ability is not yet fully formed. They move even slower along the ground, belly crawling to the nearest tree. The Pokemon are actually very good swimmers though and usually hope to fall in a lake or river to escape predators if at all possible. Once next to a trunk, Cholefoli dig their sharp claws in and climb the tree with as much speed as they can muster. Evolution Information:Cholefoli --Lv 27--> Raffamega
Raffamega Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Raffamega Image/Description:Basic picture.Flowers.There are several, tiny flowers distributed across the body of the Raffamega, resembling the picture above. Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Giant Sloth Pokemon Gender Ratio: 50% | 50% Weight: 645.0 lbs Height: 10'05" Type: | Abilities: Chlorophyll & Effect Spore Special Abilities: None Species Description:Species History: Cholefoli evolves into the giant Raffamega, one of the larger Pokemon. A tall, lumbering beast, the Raffamega is very docile in temperament and is generally a very easy Pokemon to get along with. Faster than its previous form, this Pokemon is much too heavy to live in the treetops and lumbers across the ground on its knuckles. The curved claws, once used for hanging, are now used for digging out tubers to eat and grabbing branches. It still feasts on any trees it can reach and many plains where this Pokemon live often have trees stripped to a certain height. Raffamega is able to stand for short periods of time on its hind legs but it prefers to walk and charge on all fours. Much more herd driven than its smaller form, these Pokemon are often found in groups of four to ten depending on how plentiful food is. The groups are rarely organized and more for protection in numbers than any social need. Lone Raffamega are often ones who have just evolved and emerged from the forest and onto the plains. They will often find other recently evolved ones and form their own group. If a mating pair match up, the young Cholefoli hang from the parent's neck until they are placed in the forest to escape into the trees. As soon as Raffamega evolves, the buds open up to reveal red flowers. The flowers have a sickly sweet smell that attracts small pollinating insects. The smell is a trap however and many small insects fall prey to the flower. It is unknown if the flowers also drain energy from their host or if they are a separate entity. During the day, many Raffamega are seen lying in the sun and soaking up sunlight for energy as well. Becuase of their large size, they are not preyed upon as often in this vulnerable state. Though docile, this Pokemon can be provoked to attack. It will first try to drive away enemies with a majority of powders released from the flowers. If that fails, they are known to use their brute strength and any Grass-type attacks they know. If the flowers all begin glowing, it is preparing to use Solarbeam, the Raffamega's most powerful attack. Under a trainer's tutelage, it can become a powerful ally or a ruthless opponent. Aphrie Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Aphrie Image/Description: Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Honeydew Pokémon Gender Ratio: 50% | 50% Weight: 7.3 lbs Height: 1'01" Type: Abilities: Oblivious & Own Tempo Special Abilities: Production, Wall Climb Species Description:Species History: Known for being unobtrusive, easy to accommodate and lacking hostility to the extreme, Aphrie seem to serve one main purpose and little else: to produce Honeydew. Although competent battlers when trained correctly or severely pressured, this species is docile and trusting by nature. In theory, they make for perfect prey, trusting to a fault; similar to the Dodo-esque pokémon of yore, they have little to no survival instincts when it comes to being hunted. They only respond to danger when it is abruptly thrust into their faces, but any cunning predator can pick them off at ease so long as they do not cause any fuss. One of the reasons that the Aphrie has not become extinct it its rapid egg-production, with wild Aphrie breeding and producing eggs at a heightened rate. These are often gathered together and stored in a safe place, like an underground nest, awaiting hatching. The only time that the species has been known to show aggression is when this egg store is threatened, though their lack of offensive skill is often replaced by an instinct to debilitate enemies until allies can help neutralise the threat properly. Often seen in groups, fondly known to some as 'herds', Aphrie are happiest when being treated like livestock. However, Aphrie are not very tasty to humans no matter how they are served, and are only edible to other pokémon. That said, their closest comparison is still that to cattle - though more to dairy cattle than anything. If well-fed, and their skins kept moist and healthy, Aphrie are capable of producing a sweet-tasting secretion known as Honeydew. This, if not eaten by pokémon, is used by humans as a sweetener or dietary supplement. Some people farm these insects, or collect the spherical globs of Honeydew from those in the wild, purely for the money made from selling this product. Those who search for Aphrie in the wilderness often find their job blissfully simple, for the globs of Honeydew are always to be found in an carefully built, easy-stolen mound. The Honeydew, when left in the sun for a few hours, gains a slightly rubbery film layer which allows it to remain intact even when stacked with other such gelatinous spheres. The reason for this storage is not the Aphrie themselves, who have little to do with the Honeydew once it is secreted, but by their immediate evolution, the Bouwant. Evolution Information: -> Level 12 -> -> Level up w/ ->
Bouwant Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Bouwant Image/Description: Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Harvester Ant Pokémon Gender Ratio: 50% | 50% Weight: 25.1 lbs Height: 2'03" Type: Abilities: Oblivious & Own Tempo Special Abilities: Body Regeneration, Wall Climb Species Description:Species History: The Bouwant is an essential ingredient to any budding Aphrie farmer, for these bug-types, known as the Harvester Ant pokémon, are the only means with which to gather the Honeydew in the first place. When the Bouwant tickles the Aphrie's bulging abdomen, the Aphrie is prompted to produce the Honeydew from a specialised duct on its back. Using its curved mandibles, the Bouwant will gently hold the Honeydew as it is formed, and remove it, as a complete sphere, once the Aphrie is finished. It can then either be consumed on the spot or laid out to 'set', so that the sticky ball forms a rubbery film which protects its contents. This film can be easily pierced by the Bouwant, or any sharp implement, in order to reach the sweet syrup inside. Acting like herders and minders, the Bouwant feeds on the Honeydew to such an extent that, even if other nourishment options are available, they will consume nothing else. The Honeydew is so nutritious to the Bouwant that their diet requires little else. This easy access to food results in a symbiotic relationship between the Aphrie and the Bouwant, the former providing the latter with a constant supply of food, and the Bouwant shepherding the Aphrie away from danger and keeping its skins moist. As such, any group of Aphrie are rarely seen without at least one or two Bouwant to mind them. It was originally believed that the Bouwant produced the Honeydew, or that they collected it from foliage. This is because, at first, they were the pokémon most often seen at the mounds of Honeydew, and the only ones seen eating from it and replenishing it. This was a testament to their skills at keeping the simpler Aphrie out of harm's way, and out of the way of prying eyes. The truth was realised when some Bouwant were captured and bred, the egg hatching into what is now known as an Aphrie. Now, the existence of the Aphrie is common knowledge, and any soul determined enough can track a Bouwant back to its Aphrie group. Unlike the Aphrie, the Bouwant is a more accomplished fighter, possessing harder legs and mandibles to strike with. They are also far more self-aware and intelligent than the rather oblivious Aphrie, though they retain an element of simplicity which shows in its Abilities. Easily trained, and rarely disobedient, Bouwant make decent pokémon for bug trainers, or anybody who understands their potential to become something far, far more dangerous. Evolution Information: -> Level 12 -> -> Level up w/ ->
Mantigore Basic Information:Pokémon Name: Mantigore Image/Description: Species Information:Pokémon Species: The Guardian Pokémon Gender Ratio: 50% | 50% Weight: 163.8 lbs Height: 5'09" Type: | Abilities: Oblivious & Anger Point Special Abilities: Aura Telepathy(***), Body Regeneration, Wall Climb Species Description:Species History: As with the Aphrie and Bouwant, the far less common Mantigore continues the symbiotic pattern with its evolutionary line. To follow the farming metaphor, if the Aphrie is the cattle, and the Bouwant is the farmer, then the Mantigore is the 'no trespassers' sign, or the shotgun, or the barbed fence - or, perhaps, all three rolled into one. As with the Bouwant, the Mantigore feeds on the Honeydew. Though difficult to handle when captured in the wild, providing a steady supply of Honeydew has been known to placate and please the Mantigore until it gets used to being trainer-owned. Trying to tame a wild one isn't often documented, however, since it's rather difficult. Mantigore, by their very nature, are vicious, relentless defenders, happily placing themselves in harms way to ensure the prolonged safety of the Aphrie herds. There is usually only one Mantigore per herd, since that is all that is required; their reckless violence is enough to deter most predators, since the reward from overcoming a Mantigore to get to its wards isn't nearly worth the effort of overcoming it in the first place. Only those truly determined to steal some Honeydew or snatch an Aphrie bother combatting a Mantigore. Due to the unusual requirements for the Bouwant's evolution, not every Aphrie herd is fortunate to have such a guardian. Thus, whilst an Aphrie group may be seen without a Mantigore, a wild Mantigore is rarely seen without an accompanying herd. The same is not true for the Bouwant, for individuals will sometimes detach itself from a group to fend for itself. The loss is not great, however, and a Bouwant is far more easily replaced than a Mantigore. These guardian-less groups are extremely vulnerable to predation and Honeydew theft. The damage to the group can often get so great that a Bouwant may be prompted to evolve for the good of its kin. The only known way to induce evolution in a trainer-owned Bouwant is to level it with a Protector, an item which seems to embody the very essence of the Mantigore itself. It is unknown if wild Bouwant evolve through exposure to these items, though it seems unlikely; the determination to protect its fellow pokémon seems to be the trigger, but this has never been replicated with domesticated Bouwant, and probably never will be. Guardians by nature, Mantigore are far more dangerous when they feel something or someone they value is in danger, whether that is their herd or their trainer. It is recommended to acquire one through evolving a Bouwant, for that ensures a level of trust and loyalty that is invaluable in the species.
