Beach in Millenia Town "Shut up! You're a pokemon killer!" The boy lashed out, through tears forming in his eyes. His Buizel was on the brink of life or death; your electric attacks hurt him far more then imagined. The trainer returned Buizel, and readied Wartortle's 'ball as well. He knew the turtle was just trying to stand up to a bully, but they also knew he wouldn't win. Oh well, they thought, entering the final round of the battle. Driff's attacks didn't do much damage, but only stalled. It was Voltorb's Thunderbolt that did a number on the turtle, knocking it down like you used a pinky finger. "Finally; over." The boy returned his second pokemon and ran to the side of you, dodging any attempt at foul play. He moved swiftly; the Pokemon Center was in sight. After the battle, your pokemon looked at you for approval. When you returned them and matched to the Pokemon Center, it was like waiting to see the boy again. There he was, leaving as you arrived. He gave you an evil glare and ran home, maybe going to get something to return, or just leaving in general. You entered the building to find yourself first in a line, getting in and out with pokemon fully healed. There didn't seem like much to do but deposit Voltorb into the PC. Doing so, you left with only Drifloon. Back on the beach, things seem to be a little calm. After seeing your previous display of power, some water pokemon approached the beach, boasting power through a challenge. Before things could take off, you used Thunder on Drifloon, letting it know the knowledge before battle. Level 12 Level 13

For such a young boy, he had a big attitude, it kind of reminded me of myself when I’m all wound up. I kind of had a feeling I’d be seeing him again sometime, though really I wasn’t sure about that and didn’t care too much either. I was more focused on the more important things, like getting my Pokémon healed up and organising my team, then the real fun begins. ‘You did great guys, real great,’ I affirmed in approval, another short battle was over and it was once again time to move on, ‘I’ll see ya around kid,’ I muttered as he quickly vanished from sight. The wait was much longer than usual, the line was long, and it seemed like forever that I was waiting. All most as if I was in a hospital waiting room. Once they were healed I put Voltorb in my pc, and now it was just me and Driffy and it was once again time for the joy of training. We headed to the beach with pace, Driffy floating not far behind, always staying in touching distance above. He was a valuable Pokémon to have on the team this one, valuable indeed. A lot of money and effort had gone in to him so far, but nothing I was unwilling to spend. The beach was honestly more silent then I had expected, I was kind of thinking that there would have been an uproar of sorts. But instead only a few boastful Pokemon even approached. So it seemed word had gotten around about me, but was I going to live up to the expectations with only one Pokemon by my side? Or would I fumble, and lose the reputation I had so easily obtained around here. ‘Alright Driffy, looks like this Poliwag and Krabby want a battle, so it’s a battle we’ll give them,’ I smirked, Looking at Driffy as it floated circles around the challangers. ‘I want you to use Attract on the Poliwag, then I want you to use Minimize to raise your evasiveness. Once you’ve done that, I want you to use Thunder on the Poliwag.’ My orders where set, ad really I was keen to see how this one would turn out. |

Beach in Millenia Town The balloon pokemon had work to do, and quite a lot. The two water pokemon examined him, thinking that they'd take him one on one. Krabby moved back, giving Poliwag first dibs on fainting the Drifloon. The tadpole moved up but immediately seemed to be having hearts circle around him. The Drifloon instantly became 'beautiful'! Before Poliwag could attack again, your Drifloon had begun to shrink! The tadpole started to use Bubble, creating a field to shroud Drifloon's view so any further attacks could miss. However, the Thunder struck hard down, but nearly missed the tadpole. Still being hit, the Poliwag seemed to be hidden within the bubble, hurt. The Thunder was a pretty powerful move, even if Driff isn't electric too. Krabby jumped; startled by the Thunder that struck down, blowing dust and sand all around. Luckily, some bubbles stood in tact while the sand settled. Poliwag was somewhere within the field of bubbles, hidden from even him. It was terrible; the crab was nervous about fighting against the Drifloon, thinking of how many Thunders it might be able to pull off. What they didn't know was that Thunder wasn't 100% accurate. Though, Krabby hoped the Poliwag could overcome the new found attraction and take the ghost type out.

By the looks of things, it seemed the two Pokemon had decided to take turns in the battle. Now this was going to make it a lot easier for me. Now I wouldn’t be attacked by two guys every turn, though maybe I was missing something from my equation. The first turn of the battle seemed a success, besides, the fact that the small tadpole Pokemon had shrouded itself in its own bubbles to make itself less visible to the small balloon Pokemon, but I had a solution for that; Shockwave. Weaker then thunder, but no matter how evasive or veiled Poliwag was, every single shockwave was going to be right on the mark. With thunder not being the most accurate move in my pool, it seemed like it’d be silly of me to continue firing that now. I looked at my two opponents, or more, the krabby and blanket of bubbles. I was trying to study them further, and what was next on my list of to-does would probably be a pretty obvious choice. ‘Alright Driffy, I want you to use Thunderwave on that little Poliwag to make it harder for the thing to attack you, then I want you to hit it with a shockwave. It’s a bit more risky than usual using Thunder while it’s covered by them bubbles, so I want you to keep it simple for now until them bubbles are faded.’ Now, it shouldn’t take too much longer and I was hoping, and with shockwave bursting a couple of them It’d probably be visible pretty quickly even if all the bubbles don’t fade. |

Beach in Millenia Town The field of bubbles weren't going to last; Poliwag knew this, but she felt weakened to a point that she wanted to hide. A part of her refused to battle Driff, having a crush on him suddenly. The affection she had would prove troublesome, and be a big problem when defending herself. In this case, it was almost like you were taking advantage of her--which you were taking advantage of her, her feelings, and their typing. No crime against that! Beyond the bubbles was Krabby, standing by as his friend seemed to be weakened by only one attack or so! He moved in, and you couldn't exactly tell. The Thunderwave ripped through the field, popping countless bubbles that were bound to pop in seconds anyway. The Poliwag was hit, and the Krabby didn't feel a thing. Now the tadpole seemed like a lump of nothing, while it was fighting against the paralysis. It wasn't the best of timing from the crab, seeing as you had a move coming up that could potentially damage it. Directing it at Poliwag, it let loose, only hitting her. Krabby, who seemed behind the tadpole remained protected for the most part. The tadpole tried getting up, but didn't seem to be able too. The crab, however, could move. It started to spit out some bubbles, but his seemed slightly different, where they were meant for a pure attack, and not cover. The bubbles popped against the Ghost's exterior. That seemed to be the only danger of this round; you're doing good!

Paralysed and afflicted with a nasty case of affection, Poliwag seemed as if it was the lesser of my worries for the moment. It was time to start focusing on the Krabby that had already started to focus on Driffy, jumping to the defence of its team mate. For the whole round, it seemed as if Poliwag didn’t even move a muscle, so I thought that maybe I’d be pretty safe in attacking the little crab for a while. Driffy continued to float around me, awaiting its next orders in a hope to end this battle as quickly as it could, and here I was revising my strategy in hope to end this battle as quick as I can. Things would be so much easier if I had a move that hit both my opponents at once, and then it struck. Thunder is a pretty powerful move, so maybe instead of aiming for one particular Pokemon, I could aim in between the two, the amount of electricity hitting in between them should cause damage to the both of them, though I’d have to test to see if it works first. ‘Alright Driffy, I want you to really focus on your Thunder, aim it in between the Krabby and Poliwag. Once you’ve done that, I want you to hit the Krabby with another Thunder and then just focus on avoiding incoming attacks by staying a safe distance away from them.’ I said, once again hoping for the best. |

Beach in Millenia Town The point was the first attack was to get both of them. The chances are rough, because Thunder was like a loose cannon, that could miss just as easy as it could kill. Driff had to really focus, and before he could, Krabby went and spit out some bubbles. Before the field of bubbles could reach Driff, he let go of his power, showing them a pretty good Thunder. The powerful bolt of lightning shot into the sky, and came down, shooting sand and both pokemon apart. When the power was going up, and charging, the bubbles had hit Driff; the sand diminished the rest, saving him from a more powerful attack. The attack was quite powerful, packing a hard punch for the crab and his ally. Unfortunately for the Krabby, the Thunder was enough to put Poliwag out of the battle. It left Driff and him, fighting to the end. If another one hit him, and was even more powerful, he could be done. Driff started to focus, wanting this to be as accurate as possible--for better damage. The crab went to move, as he wanted to get a shot in closer. His mentality told him a point blank hit would do some more damage, where he may be able to hurt your a lot more. But when he was moving with haste, your pokemon let go of another Thunder. This one hit a little from him, but gave him just as much damage as the last one! It seemed like it became paralyzed, and couldn't move!

The deadly balloon had pretty much mastered the electric element, and with its new found power water Pokémon had become a fairly easy prey for it. It circled around its opponents, focusing on where its attack needed to go, clearing everything from its head, and releasing the devastating bolt of electricity known as Thunder. Pulsing through the sky, the move hit directly where the Balloon had targeted, the damage; exactly as I had hoped. Poliwag was out of the battle, and with it the entire battle was pretty much over as well. All that was left was one last opponent, Krabby. ‘Aright Driffy, I want you to take the accurate route this turn. I want you to use Shockwave on the Krabby, then another. After that second shockwave you should be able to take out the krabby easily with the second shockwave, if the first doesn’t get lucky and critical. So just focus on getting your attacks in and use your speed advantage and evasiveness to dodge anything the little thing tries to throw at you,’ I giggled, watching as driffy began his circling motions once more. I was hoping that the battle would be very fairly quickly from here, but I suppose I’m always like that at the end. Excited at the beginning of each battle, but even more excited to have it finished. I guess that was the idea of training though. The quicker the battles finished, the quicker Driffy levelled. But either way, I was going to be here for a long while. |

Beach in Millenia Town The previous round seemed to shake Krabby up. He was fighting hard, but not hard enough as it seemed. He needed more of an edge, like the status ailment that he is inflicted with to go away. Not likely for it to happen, he'd have to rely on another tactic. Much like Poliwag did, he enjoyed the game of Bubbles, using it to create cover as well as some damage towards the ghost type. As it wanted to use the move right away, it found its muscles failing it. Becoming stiff, the Krabby panicked. Unfortunately, it seemed blinded to the fact of the Shockwave. The first one hitting it, shocking it through and through. The second one was no doubt not far behind, but it seemed to have halted for a few more seconds. The Krabby wished he had been stronger, quite like his ancestors who grew to be strong Kingler. He met his end within seconds of that thought, feeling the second shockwave. Luckily, the waves picked up. The heavy high tide picked both water types and moved them gradually to the water, where you witnessed silhouettes pick them up and disappear. Drifloon, who seemed to look a little strong just on the outside, seemed to pull in the direction of the Pokemon Center, knowing damn well it needed a short break and heal. It seemed to very much enjoy this training program you had for it. Little did it know, the water pokemon just seem to hate you today. Moving on with it, you went to the building famous for its red roof and beautiful Nurse. You were the first to the counter, and what seemed to be last. A news broadcast came abruptly on the television screen, warning trainers about a trio of water pokemon that are raging on the beach. Seeing this as perfect training, you could rush over. The pictures showed rough pixels from the screen, but the Poketech identified them as a Corphish, Totodile, and Shellos. ![]() Drifloon gained 25 ![]() Drifloon grew to Level 12! eh -.- I giggled, before returning driffy to his empty ball, and the battle field was empty. Another quick story, and yeh, I was beginning to feel bored of this whole battle thing. I sighed before turning my head, only to find more contestants keen for the prize ‘king of the beach.’ And honestly, I just wasn’t that interested. I shook my head, picking up Driffy’s ball, yet again, and that was when I heard the news. During the drag of the last battle, I was chipping away at my Poketech organising a few things, and for a small cost I was now in the possession of a new electric type, well tutored, just a little bit more on the cute side, and it clicked. The red and white sphere turned in to more of a blur as it span through the open air, smashing against the sand before the seal was broken. Translucent energy bursted from the ball, striking the sand as the mouse began to form, it’s beady eyes sparkling as it glanced around the beach. Pichu began to take shape against the sea dwellers, as it stepped forward fearlessly, even though it was clearly outnumbered. I looked over at the pokemon quite satanically, even though I kind of knew the battle would surely be lost, but I always came prepared, and this time was no different. A strategy was already together, well in place, but I’m more than ready for the worse. ‘Listen here Pichu, The plans simple.’ I smiled, ‘I want youj to use one thunderbolt on each Pokemon, making for a total of 3. Do it as quick as you can, and that will be enough for this round.’ I snickered, it was time for driffy to take a break. |

Ah, nice day on the beach... And then three Water types pop up and cause trouble for everyone. Good thing you were there to come to the rescue of the beach dwellers, yeah? And against these three beastly Water types, you send out.. a Pichu. Well, it's an electric type! It has Thunderbolt too! Oh.. wait.. It's.. level 1... Uhm.. what..? Nothing to help it? Just a lone Pichu against three middle teen leveled Pokemon...? This.. won't end... well... You walked up to the three troublesome Water types and released your battler, the Lv 1 Pichu. They took a look at it... and... laughed. Laughed their little wet behinds off. Pichu didn't take that too kindly, and per your order, Thunderbolted the three of them. It... did pitiful damage, but really, with that much difference in levels... It wasn't doing much else. They didn't find this too funny, however. Totodile seems to be the leader of these three, and barked at the Shellos, who retaliated with a single Mud Bomb. Ah... well, you can guess what happened. The Shellos gathered a ball of mud at it's mouth, launching it at Pichu once it formed. It exploded on contact, sending the poor baby Pokemon flying backwards, KOed. They looked to you now, pretty pissed. You could run.. but if you want to beast these three bastards for EXP, you'll need to beat them. If not, you should run. And run fast. Corphish and Shellos might be slow as all hell, but Totodile and family are known to chase their prey to the ends of the earth and back again. So, will you battle, or will you run? Battle!

Silence, the volume had been switched off, though not literally, everything around me just became distant, zoned out. I closed my eyes, as my ego and morals tore each other apart inside my mind, quite the playground. I was looking for a quick fix, but I didn’t second think the sacrifices and consequences of said actions, and I was in turmoil because of it. Scenes began to flash through my head, violent ones, past, present.. It didn’t matter. Any memory that was even remotely bad, back to haunt me, back to rip my to pieces. Was there a way out? Was there anything I could do to save myself from the torment? Because in a matter of seconds the pain was a little too much to bare, and for once, the joke really was on me. Snap back to reality, I finally found my voice, ‘You did good Peachy, you did good,’ I spewed out quickly, as the knocked out baby flashed before my eyes returning to its small ball home. I sighed, scanning the environment and poking away at my Poketech, reaching for a ball with each hand, I released two of my more levelled Pokemon. Bronzor, a Pokemon I had recently received in a trade and my Driffy. As quick as Pichu was gone, Bronzor and Driffy came, eager to get revenge for their new companion. ‘Alright, it’s going to be pretty simply, Driffy, I want you to use Minimize and then two thunders on Corphish. Bronzor I want you to take on Totodile, start off with Hypnosis, then hit it with two Extrasensory’s , that should do it for this round,’ I ordered, returning the two Pokeballs to my straps. ‘It’s time to get cooking.’ |

~Millenia Town | Beach~ That's more like it, actual battlers against these little gremlins. And completely lucky for you, the typing and abilities of your Pokemon -not to mention the Bronzor's level- work together well enough that the water types really can't do much to you. Being the strongest on the field, Bronzor started first. Psychic energy waves emminanted from the little mirror Pokemon in a Hypnosis attack, enveloping Totodile and sending it off into a deep sleep. Following that, Shellos began to splash mud up into the air, covering the surroundings and it's allies in a sandy, muddy slush. Crap, that'll put a damper on those Thunder attacks... but they're still strong enough to hit with a nice edge. Drifloon moved next, compressing itself to increase it's evasion and make it less likely for attacks to hit. With Totodile out of the way, and it's Flying type protecting it from the ground attacks of Shellos, the only thing it could really be hit by would be Shellos's Water Pulse. It continued after that, calling down a massive lightning strike from the sky. It hit the ground beside the crab Pokemon and caused the sand to explode, leaving a chunk of glass in it's place. Damn, it just BARELY missed Corphish... Corphish jumped up nearly a foot into the air, stunned at how close that hit was. It instinctively used Harden to try and protect itself... not that it'd help any against Thunder. I question this Corphish's intelligence. Bronzor moved again after the crab landed, assaulting the sleeping Totodile with a dual Extrasensory. It didn't react much to the attack, being asleep, but you could see it's face distort as the attack damaged it's insides. Shellos moved again afterwards, blasting a Water Pulse at the now open Bronzor. The attack missed, though, glancing by the steel type's slick body. Drifloon took the next movement and fired off another Thunder, this time hitting it's mark dead on. Corphish bubbled and gurgled as the electricity surged through his body, even though some of the damage was buffered by the Mud Sport. it attacked next, swiping it's claw at Drifloon in a Vice Grip attack. ....I REALLY question this Corphish's intelligence, as the Vice Grip passed right through Drifloon's corporeal body. The crab looked confused and stunned all at once, wondering just what happened. The battle ended with Totodile's snoring, the water type not having a clue as to how much crap it's buddies and itself were now in for. Serves em right for picking on a baby! Battle!

Driffy showed no fear against the crustacean that was more than three times his size, floating around it as if he was untouchable, but the truth is he was. He was the weakest on the field by level, though probably the most versatile move wise, and offcourse he was my favourite. ‘Alright Driffloon, don’t worry about the corphish right now, it’s too stupid to be any real concern at the moment, we’ll go for him last,’ I taunted. Personally, I always found that was the best way of mentoring an enemy and right now I wasn’t interested in battling weaklings, so I was hoping that the little crustacean would pick up his game somehow. ‘I want you to focus on the Totodile and Shellos. I want you to start off with Shockwave on Totodile, then I want you to let loose a Thunderwave on the Shellos to try and immobilize it a little, are we clear?’ I said, driffy wobbled its head up and down, as if to nod, it’s small rope-like limbs dangling in the wind as it turned to its new targets. I couldn’t forget about the metal dish either, ‘Bronzor, I want you to use Extrasensory on the Totodile once more, if that doesn’t knock it out, hit it with another, I want him out of the battle this turn. If he’s out after the first Extrasensory, I want you to direct your attacks to the Corphish, and use your last extrasensory on him, stay a safe distance from it though, but keep it distracted from driffy until he’s done with the other two,’ I snickered, the battle was actually going a little longer than expected, but it was much more enjoyable this way. note |

::Millenia Town .:Beach With a distinct level advantage from Bronzor and a really unintelligent Corphish this battle was going to be a walk in the park. The crab really had no idea what it was doing and you were taking full advantage of it. Hopefully this round would even the sides out and nab you a fresh new Pokemon. Despite his lack of intelligence the Corphish moved first. Narrowing his eyes, he Leered at both of your Pokemon. Filling up his body with water he began to fire off Bubbles. The bubbles floated through the air towards Driffy but a strange force began to draw the bubbles. Shellos gave the Corphish a look of frustration as the bubbles popped into him. His ability had drawn in the Water attack and raised his Special Attack. The Shellos concentrated on his shell and Hardened raising his Defense. Annoyed by the Corphish he gathered up some of the mud and hurled a large bomb of it at Driffy and Bronzor. Obviously all these Pokemon were below average intelligence as the mud splashed harmlessly beneath the pair. Bronzor looked bored with the whole show and began to scramble the brains of the Totodile. The little crocodile screamed in pain and immediately snapped out of its sleep. Pushing through the hurt he set his eyes on Driffy and leapt towards him. Clamping his jaws onto Driffy he pulled the Pokemon to the ground. Letting go to attack again, Driffy took the opportunity to fire off his Shockwave attack. The electricity slammed into Totodile and the water crocodile collapsed unconscious. Tossing a Pokeball at the collapsed Pokemon it rattled a few times before coming to a rest. The rest of the fight wasn't that impressive. Bronzor scrambled the brains of Corphish, probably increasing his intelligence. Driffy fired another bolt of electricity causing Shellos to twitch with paralysis. With the round over it seemed this was going to be a sure win. You had already got a new team member but I think the other two would be better off left unconscious. Well your choice...
