Chaos had given his opponent, the bullying Doduo, a chance to retreat and escape harm, but it fell on deaf ears (I'm not entirely sure Doduo even have ears...) and, accordingly, the fight continued. He had also given the bird a gracious moment to recover, and right itself, having previously been caught under his bulk. The bird took full advantage of the moment, and once he was rebalanced, launched himself at the Tauros. The beast was equal to it, however, and met the bird with his planned Headbutt, beak and horn meeting their respective targets in a messy exchange of full-on blows.

Not to be outdone, Pidgey and his Doduo also went at each other, their beaks meshing directly as both of the orange heads met with the airborne one's Tackle. Pidgey was forced to concede a wail of pain as the Peck hit hard, but it wasn't in vain, for the force of his own blow knocked its target back; he was able to fly on, regain composure, and turn around, aiming for the bird's back. This, however, proved much less successful, as the Doduo darted out of his way, relying again on its Quick Attack for a boost of speed, before landing a glancing blow into the winged one's side.

Amid the heated battles, Kayla recklessly approached the injured bull, apparently unfazed (or oblivious) to the danger of her move. The Tauros was in a lot of pain, and were it not for how drained these sustained injuries left him, he would be thrashing around a great deal more. Instead, as she settled beside him, and began to massage his face, he did little more than look at her. He hoped, and could indeed sense, she wasn't there to hurt him, reflected in his eyes which pleaded for her to assist him.

The much-less injured Tauros charged again at the Doduo, head lowering for another Headbutt. It seemed, however, that his opposition remained brave (if stupid,) propelling himself into Chaos with a Quick Attack that caught the bull well. Once again, both Pokemon were forced back, scrambling slightly under the force of each other's blow, though it was becoming apparent that Tauros' superior strength was taking its toll: The Doduo was becoming slightly unsteady on its feet, coming quickly closer to a point of exhaustion.

Chaos snorted at the bird, his tails whipping furiously. The Doduo he was against was starting to show some wear and that was excellent. He eyed the other bird and saw that it was still going pretty strong. That was not good. Pidgey was fluttering up, looking a little worn. He was going pretty good still now. Rolling his shoulders, he snorted at Pidgey. The bird seemed to catch on, talons clenching. He hoped this worked.

The bull grunted, pawing the ground and lowering his head. His horns were parallel to the ground. He jumped to the side at the last minute, charging at the other bird. A Headbutt to the side of the surprised bird should startle it enough that he could ram it again with another one before it recovered. He was taking a page out of the Pidgey's book but if it worked, it would be well worth it.

Pidgey flapped up a little higher, glaring at his first opponent before the bull charged. Oh he had understood the bull well enough. If he could draw the bird's attention just a little more to the side, he could get the bird's line of sight away from the Tauros. As soon as Chaos began his charge, he flew over the Doduo's heads and straight to the other one. He would strike the other bird with a Tackle to its side and then swoop back around again, hoping to hit it with another Tackle.

Kayla ran her hand down the bull's muzzle. It seemed comforted by her touch. Her eyes remained downcasted as she rubbed the bull. At the moment she seemed to be running on feeling instead of actual thought. She swung her bag off of her shouders. Digging through it, she pulled out one of the apples and held it out to him. It lay in her flat palm, offered slowly so as not to startle him.

[Chaos: Headbutt x2 on other opponent
Pidgey: Tackle x2 on other opponent]

So, switching offenses for a good spread of damage over both of the opponents. Let's see if that comes off as a spotless tactic; As both of the sides were eying each other down, health could easily be estimated by the status they were in. I mean Chaos has battered his side of the opposing forces down to a heavily breathing shaky dodo. while the other bird seemed to be in the best condition of the entire field. So the two of your pokemon understood the plan that chaos had come up with the.

The heavily breathing bird was enraged too at the bull, he knew he wasn't as strong as that titan over there, but he didn't want to lose either. The moment the Pidgey flew off towards his opponent the doduo's wanted to do something and react with a peck, but the pidgey was fast, it didn't have any quick attack in it's memory yet, but it's movement speed was more superior than the synchronized reaction speed of both the heads, so as the bird flew over the heads turned, and one of the heads even did a peck attack, but fortunately missed, both pidgey, and the other head it would've hit otherwise. so much for it's accuracy. At any case, as pidgey was off the weaker bird, the stronger one didn't see the wall of bull throttle coming his way and was hit in the side with a strong blow. Chaos snorted, and wanted to follow it up with an other appointment with the head, but...

Pidgey flew over to the weaker doduo, but as it was standing there in one blink of an eye in came running towards him in the other. So Pidgey lowered his head, as the doduo kicked in an other boost with a quick attack. the both attacks hit each other hard, pidgey crashed into one of the heads, and the collision between both was with high speed. they shook it off, but the doduo was faster with that, so it ran over to Chaos and jumped on him, grasping him tight with his talons on his back. Pidgey reacted fast, he was going to tackle that birdbrain off of his teammate's spine. But chaos reacted like any normal bull......like one trying to shake off a cowboy, after one or two jumps, the grip of the bird loosened up more than enough as it fell to the ground, leaving some stings on Chaos back, but luckily it didn't bleed, it was just a minor scratch of it's tough leathery skin.

Looked like that weaker one was quite angry, to bad it couldn't do anything to his previous assaulter. It landed on the ground, but it seemed that it's rage was a bit to big, for him to remember pidgey until the moment it rammed into the side of him. That blow must have triggered something bad, cause a screech could be heard, and the bird was out like a cold turkey....

The other one had a chance to recover from the head-butt from before, and managed to land a sturdy peck just below the left horn of Chaos. I lowed hard as not to long after the head the horn was attached to, bashed into one of the heads. It had sustained heavy damage, and to make things worse, the head that was hit was bleeding somewhat too. The beak has a crack, and the bead-like gems on the head of Tauros left a nasty cut on the head. I wasn't going well for this last doduo, not well at all.

Meanwhile the damaged bull lay there not sure what to expect, but he kind of trusted the human touching and petting him. Now some shiny red apples came out of her bag. He looked her in the eye for a sec, a bit unsure, but he carefully opened his mouth and grunted quietly. As he took a bite out of the apple and began to chew, slowly.....but steady. Not the whole thing, as he was still cautious, even if he was sure that this human wouldn't be of any harm.

[Thanks Xia!]

Chaos rolled his shoulders. His back stung a little but he was grateful for the tough hide. Not much could break through it. Well...he chanced a glance at the injured Tauros and amended it to being lucky the bird had not used its beak. The bird was down though; out cold near him. His hoof pawed the ground as he glared at the last Doduo. It was struggling to stand now, he could tell. Pidgey was looking a little worse for the wear but he was still fluttering above him. If they combined their efforts, they could take them out easily. His tails whipped him, not as hard as before but hard enough to get his blood pumping. He slid a glance to the bird and received the nod. They were good. He bellowed loudly and charged, head lowered for another Headbutt.

Above, Pidgey flapped a little desperately. He was tired and ready to stop but it was so close to the end. The bird saw the girl sitting next to the injured Tauros, feeding him an apple. He squawked, wondering where she thought it wise to feed the bull? Especially the apples he had pointed at. Disgruntled, he chirped and caught the Tauros glance. Okay, one last attack to take it out. Should be easy enough. He swept back into a loop, diving for the other bird. A dive-bombing aerial Tackle should cause it to faint if Chaos did not.

Kayla let the Tauros carefully eat a part of the apple. It chewed slowly but did not seemed too painful about it. Her other hand went back to rubbing his muzzle softly. She carefully laid the bitten apple on the ground by his mouth. The free hand came up and clenched at her chest. Something was trying to connect in her mind and it took another minute to get it. Chaos bellowed and her head rose. It clicked then that the injured bull in front of her was not her bull. She turned back to the down Tauros but found that she could not leave him there in good faith. Chaos seemed okay with her being near it and he refused to let most Pokemon near her. So she sat, still petting him carefully.

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.
So this battle was now, finally, coming to an end. You had already taken out one of the two headed birds, next and finally was the second Doduo. So, lets get this over and done with, without having to drag it out.

Pidgey moved first and quickly, swooping in the air and targetting Doduo coming in from above. The tackle hit the already very weak Doduo, causing it to collapse to the ground. It was over. Your Pidgey chirped happily in the triumpth of this double battle. A double battle, with two of the same pokemon, both having two heads. Coincidence? I think know laws of fate!

Your pokemon could now both rest. The two Doduo lay on the ground, rather motionless. Hell you could catch one, or both of them if you wanted too. Would it be that good of an idea however? All 3 of your pokemon behind normal and/or flying types? You'd pretty much get raped if a strong trainer came along.. Due to lack of diversity in your team. Then again, it could rake you in some cash. What you do now, is up to you. Oh, and by the way, sorry for this short ref. But hey, its better to get one battle out of the way, right?

So, what were you going to do now?

Xia gave you the exp already for the first Doduo..
Tauros gained 5 :exp
Tauros has 5.7 :exp left over

Pidgey gained 5 :exp
Pidgey has 5.7 :exp left over

[Thanks Ashy! I'll hop to it.]

As the last Doduo fell, Chaos put the brakes on rather unsuccessfully. Pidgey was a lot faster than he seemed. He stumbled, finally stopping a good ways away from where he had started. His legs throbbed briefly and he shook himself off. Pidgey had fluttered back to him, talons reaching out carefully. The bird gripped his horns and settled in to rest. His wings were tired and he really wanted another apple right about now. The bull turned slowly, mindful of the bird holding onto him.

His eyes widened as he caught sight of Kayla. The girl was sitting right in front of the other Tauros, both hands rubbing the bull's muzzle now. The injured Tauros was merely lying still but panic still leapt up. Their species was a bit unpredictable although he was probably too injured to do anything at the moment. Chaos carefully approached the downed bull, snorting in inquiry. His first question was if the bull could move, hoping to get away from the two birds before they regained consciousness. Even if the bull refused to move, he doubted the Doduos would challenge them again. Right now, he wanted to lie down and rest. His next was why the Doduos had attacked him and how he had gotten this injured from them.

Kayla was still rubbing the bull's muzzle as the Pidgey hopped up to her bag. The bird dug out another apple, dismayed that there was only a couple more left. He pecked at it as the Tauros explained himself. One of the girl's hands strayed from the bull and brushed up against the bird. He blinked and looked up at her but her eyes remained on the ground in front of her.

If you could understand the language of pokemon then all these snorting and grunting this Tauros was doing will probably make some to you. However I find it highly doubtful and therefore I will have to explain to you, as Chaos's eyebrows lifted as the injured Tauros spoke, and a look of worry shot through him, if not only for the slightest of seconds as he instantly regained his composure and returned to his serious, threatening stance, if not panting slightly from the previous battle.

Now if you could understand, then you would know that the reason this Tauros was so injured from just two Doduo attacks was that he was taken by surprise, and that there wasn't just the two Doduo that attacked. No no, in fact there was a large herd of Doduo, all differing in power. There were two leaders, a Male and Female Dodrio. The herd had scampered when they heard others approaching, their speed meaning they could disappear in a flash, however the two weakest Doduo had stayed behind to taunt the once proud victim.

Why am I telling you all this you ask? Well I am quite concerned. You see, you defeated two members of the Doduo clan...but they were the weakest members, and I'm starting to hear a rumbling. The sound of maybe 30 feet rushing towards you. That's at least 13 Doduo and the 2 Dodrio. You need to hop on Chaos and run...but what about the poor wounded Tauros...maybe you could capture it so as to save it. Maybe you should leave it...it's pride is wounded anyway. The choice is up to you, better run though, those Doduos are fast!!

[Curse you Killaz!]

He shifted on his hooves, tired but now alert. He could feel the rumbling now even as the Tauros spoke. Pidgey shifted uncomfortably, his feathers ruffling. He twisted around, squinting. He could not see the approaching birds although he was not sure if that was because they were still far away or because they were hidden by the trees. Kayla was still sitting quite still, unaware of the danger present and coming closer. Chaos snorted, attempting to decide. Leaving the bull to whatever fate the Doduos had for him would be a very large black spot on his list. Even if Kayla did not know about it, or forgot as she usually did, it would still sit on his mind.

Chaos lowed softly and nudged Kayla up. She glanced up at him, both hands clenching at her chest. He snorted at Pidgey, telling him to get Kayla going through the trees to his left, away from the increasing rumbling. He could hear the squawking now and coming in fast. The Pidgey huffed but carefully reached out and tugged on her sleeve. She drew back but Chaos shoved her forward with his nose. The girl looked back at him and he nudged her again, lowing urgently. She finally began to sprint away with Pidgey fluttering ahead of her.

He now turned to the fallen Tauros. Snorting, he lowered his head. The bull himself could not run but he could for a short while. He had never tried to carry anything heavier than Kayla but it was their last shot. If he could fling the bull on his back, he could take off between the larger spaces in the trees. Once out in the field, he was not sure how to escape but at least there would be more open areas to run in and possibly hide. Doduos did have a terrible sense of smell being birds, maybe they could hide along a ridge or something.

Chaos grunted but he knew what he had to do. Tauros's weren't exactly the lightest of pokemon, and just because they were the same weight roughly, doesn't mean he could manage it, imagine asking a Snorlax to lift a Snorlax onto it's shoulders. Chaos crouched to the ground, he placed his nose under Tauros's stomach and attempted to lift it enough to fling it onto his shoulders. It proved to be too much for him and he was unable to do it. The wounded Tauros grunted and said something to Chaos who snorted in agreement. Again he bent down, but this time, he tried to balance out Tauros's weight in order to allow the Tauros to stand. The Tauros slowly began to rise but it was very weak, it couldn't keep balance for long. Quickly, Chaos ducked low and caught the injured bull under the stomach, rising and finally lifting him onto his back...hooray. With that you then climbed on and Tauros began to run as quickly as he could manage with his current weight load. It wasn't too fast I'm afraid, especially considering the pace a Doduo can run at.

Getting out onto the open route, Chaos couldn't take it anymore. He was still weak from the battle and needed rest to recuperate. Unable to stand, and the injured Tauros unable to move, there wasn't much that was able to be done before you was surrounded by at least five angry Doduo, all squawking and screaming in your ear. Was this the end? Not quite. You were in an open route of course. Route 5 was particularly popular at this time, and many trainers saw your predicament and came rushing to aid you. One trainer even healed both Tauros's with a Potion each. The trainers made quick work of the Doduo and slowly wandered off one at a time, laughing and joking at how powerful they all were. Looks like everything worked out for the best, aren't you lucky. Except for one thing...there was one Doduo that hadn't quite been defeated...yes that's right. It was The Mighty Doduo King!!! He was angry, but you could take him. Your Chaos was healed. Make quick work of him and then there's a super special awesome prize waiting for you at the pokemon centre. I don't know what it is, but your poketech was alerting you of an unknown customer waiting at the centre.

He struggled under the great weight. Tauros were thick, heavy creatures and this one was no exception. Groaning, he had to put the bull back down and panted heavily as he tried to relax his screaming muscles. The injured bull let out a pained groan and snorted, telling him to lift with his shoulders, not his neck. He also insisted he stand up to get a better hold on him. Slowly, Chaos managed to hook a horn underneath and help the Tauros to his feet. The injured Pokemon swayed dangerously. Quickly, he shoved his head underneath the bull's splayed legs and slid him down onto his back. Grunting, Chaos rose on slightly unsteady feet. His hooves plodded heavily on the ground, sinking far deeper than he would alone. Now if he could just get out into the open before the Doduos caught up, he would be in the clear.

They emerged from the trees at a heavy trot. His legs shook under the heavy bull and found himself stumbling. He heard Kayla cry out as he fell to his knees. The Tauros rolled from his back, resting on his side on the ground. Chaos panted heavily, legs throbbing in pain. The sound of squawking and thudding feet grew louder. Kayla was tugging on his mane as Pidgey fluttered around his head in a frenzy. He began screeching loudly and Chaos turned just in time to see the first of the Doduos emerge at breakneck speed. He heard the girl squeal and she immediately tried to get him back on his feet.

Suddenly other noises rose up. He could hear some were human, others Pokemon. His head rose as people rushed over to them. Red flashes shot out as Pokemon were called to do battle. He groaned and leaned his head against Kayla, trying to calm her down. She cringed and buried herself into his mane. He could hear the Doduos squawk at the sudden turn of events. Pidgey landed next to the girl and watched as the trainers began taking out the onslaught of birds. One had rushed forward, quickly spraying the very prone bull. Chaos looked behind him, finding the tails began to twitch and then the bull was rolling onto his stomach. He snorted but stayed lying down, resting the still healing wounds. The trainer then came to him and spoke to Kayla. The girl remained silent, buried into his mane. He snorted and allowed the trainer to spray him as well, feeling his muscles relax and the throbbing reside. He stayed down as well, allowing his body to fully recuperate. The trainer seemed to wait for a minute and, upon receiving no response from the girl, the human moved on to take on the still coming horde.

The din began to die down soon as the number of birds started to wean. There were several unconscious in the field although a number had retreated. Pidgey flapped up to sit on his horn again, chirping softly as he watched the others fall. His wings did feel slightly better now although he still needed to rest up. The trainers around spoke loudly of their accomplishments and he snorted in disdain. They began to go their separate ways, not noticing the two Tauros and the girl still in the field. Kayla was still holding on to him, her head right under his chin. He rumbled softly, hoping to soothe her tattered nerves.

A squawk rose up and he carefully turned his head. Another Doduo had appeared, looking slightly worn down but angry as well. It seemed stronger than the others regardless and he narrowed his eyes. Chaos let out a soft but firm grunt, asking her to release him. Her breath hitched but her fingers uncurled from his mane. He stood carefully and bellowed at the bird, asking it to back off. He pawed the ground in a threat, hooves scraping up patches of grass. Pidgey flapped off, coming to land next to the kneeling girl. If the bird did not back off, he would go in for a Headbutt first and then turn around for a Horn Attack. The birds legs were long and he knew he would have to change strategies if the bird leapt over him. A good Tackle from below would take care of that though.

Kayla curled up on the ground, face buried in her knees. Pidgey chirped softly, scooting closer to her. Her head lifted up and, for the first time, she actually looked at him. The eyes were scared and...lost. Both hands shot out and he flinched instinctively. The hands were gentle when they laid on him. Her fingers tightened only slightly as she lifted him up and brought him to her chest. Pidgey cooed, hoping to settle her down.

She kept him in a light grip as she watched Chaos move on the field. Her mind was jumbled, nerves shot from the sudden appearance of so many people. It had sent her into a panic and, in doing so, has shut her down. Her mind had reawakened now and she was terrified. Chaos was challenging the two-headed bird so soon after falling. She had only seen him fall once when he had been poisoned by an Ekans. That had been a trying time as well and she kept seeing an Ekans instead of a Doduo out on the field. "Back," she whispered, staring at him. His tails merely twitched although he turned slightly and nodded in reassurance. Her hands held on to the bird as she whimpered, curling up once again.

Well a lot of events happened, didn't they? A lot of trainers; some arrogant, some not. Some happy to help, some just in there to train their own pokemon against those birdbrains. All in all, everything was little by little coming together as a good situation again. And of course, some other raging bird had to break through that moment of silence and peace. Shredding the positive aura that was lingering in the air in a dozen of pieces with it's shriek.

The bird stomped it's thin-toed feet on the ground, provoking whatever was in front of him. The rage could be red out of his eyes pretty easily. Chaos, although weak still wanted to take care of this nuisance. First the gentle approach by asking it to back off. But like most living creatures in this sort of state, all sense was replaced with an overdose of bad temper. It squawked again, pretty loud this time, making sure to chaos that there was no intention of backing off at all. And the first move was going to be the king of the doduo, as it jolted at Chaos in a fast pace, charging up for a quick attack, as it ran towards Chaos' side in an arch. Chaos had already planned out his moves, as he turned around to deliver a head-butt. The bird was slightly faster as he was the one to strike first. Quick attack being a first priority attack. Still the reaction time of that doduo was used for an attempt to place a Peck right after. It was suppressed, almost literally, As an head-butt pounced into the head that was about to use the move. The glow of it's beak faded as soon as the head-butt lost contact.

The Doduo edged away once more, screaming in unison, even with the bruised face it had. Now blinded with anger, it didn't think as straight anymore, as it came charging at Chaos with a Rage attack. The weakest of it's attacks. The doduo's speed was bigger and thus placing the first hit. it did full damage, the intimidate ability of Chaos didn't come through at all in this battle, but still, chaos should be feeling a bit worse than before the potion was applied, but it seemed to have enough energy left to make his horn glow up and Strike them into the doduo.

Sadly, they indeed went into the doduo. The left horn of chaos pierced through the birds skin, through the flesh, and didn't pierce through but ruptured the heart of the thing. A waterfall of blood sprayed out of the puncture wound as Chaos retreated his horn. The bird Squawked one last time, which was cut off by the stop of it's heart. It fell to the ground, dead as the dodo it was named after. A puddle of blood developed under the corpse, slowly seeping into the soil. Chaos got rid of it alright. Still, chaos would probably fall to the ground to, as his condition wasn't that good, he would be conscious but in need of help. The blood of that bird covered his face and a little bit more than a quarter of his mane. And it was already drying up. Still, a pity it ended in such a way.

That pokemon center would be good idea now, wouldn't it?

Chaos panted as he fell to his knees. The bird was not very far away and even he knew it was dead. He could feel the blood clotting in his fur and could feel eyes on him from behind. Breathing in deeply, he shoved himself to his feet. He felt tired and his entire body was aching again. His legs were unsteady as he returned to Kayla. Her wide eyes stared at his painted face and he merely grunted. Pidgey was watching him cautiously from his imprisonment. He wanted them away from the carcass as fast as possible. Chaos moved his head, encouraging her to stand up. She finally did, Pidgey still clutched protectively to her chest. He turned to the other bull, telling him he could come along with them for the time being until he wanted to leave or found another herd.

He only led them far enough away to be out of sight of the deceased Doduo. He lied back down with a heavy thud, wincing. Kayla sat stiffly next to him, finally releasing Pidgey. The bird hopped to the ground, ruffling his feathers. He began to preen despite the fact that the majority of his feathers had not been moved out of place by her. He eyed the Tauros warily as he groomed. Chaos merely snorted, reaching out with his tongue to begin ripping up the grass around them. Kayla was still stiff, staring off into the distance. What was going through her mind was a question for the psychics.

Pidgey settled in beside him, keeping the wind off of his small body. Kayla's body was relaxing as she finally leaned against him. Her eyes blinked rapidly and she looked up at the bull's face. She bgean running her hands through his mane, untangling the hairs from the dried blood. Whether or not she knew what it was struck him but he stayed quiet, allowing her hands the clean him as much as possible. His eyes began to droop as the grooming continued. Night was approaching and he though it would be best if they just lied here for the darkness. Kayla pulled out her jacket, draping it over her. The little doll she coveted came out next and she curled around it protectively. Pidgey climbed up to rest on his horn. He rumbled softly as the girl huddled next to him. They would begin their walk in the morning, when they all felt better.

The silence drowned you, enveloped you as darkness fell and the world fell asleep, hushing the people and the pokemon into a state that felt like nothingness. A chill breeze raced past, threatening to stand the hair's on the back of your neck. It truly was eerie, alone, in the dark. At least you had your pokemon with you...and a wild bull that could snap any second. But right now Pidgey was resting up against you, nestling himself into your warm body. Chaos was awake, thinking to himself. The dark did not scare him, he just needed to heal up his wounds. The wild Tauros had moved away somewhat, allowing himself to sleep alone by a nearby tree. Slowly, the darkness grew darker, as your eyelids grew heavier. Eventually you succumb to sleep. I wonder...what did you dream about. Was it pleasant, or scary?

The sound of birds chirping brought you back to your senses, awakening you as dawn broke and the sun began to rise. The path was once again full of life, wild pokemon out and about and trainers wandering too and fro. Wonder how many had passed you whilst you slept? How strange to think of the amount of journeys and adventures had around the world while you were blissfully sleeping. You had probably developed a cold no doubt, from sleeping outside, but you wouldn't find that out to later I guess. Whenever the coughing starts, you know your ill.

I guess not much for you to do but continue your path to the Joukai Pass. Walking the path was fairly unadventurous. Nothing jumped out at you, no one spoke to you really, apart from the occasional "excuse me" as two trainers met and tried to get around each other. No, at this early hour, no one could really be bothered to do much. Anyway, just a few short steps until Joukai, then I guess you'll want to head to the Pokemon Centre? Oh wait there isn't one. Well, Chaos is still quite hurt despite resting. But if you thought he was okay to continue. You could always battle some trainers. I'm not going to tell you what to do...but there was a strange man not too far from you. He wasn't doing anything wrong yet...he just looked very suspicious.

Chaos dozed here and there, alert for any sounds. He sighed softly as the darkness covered the entire area. Pidgey had drifted off, his chin resting on his chest. Kayla was curled at his side, her coat laid across her tiny form. The Phanpy was clutched tightly to her chest. Her head rested against his shoulder, keeping that part of him quite warm. She twitched every now and then before settling down. His head lifted slightly to gaze at the other Tauros several feet away from them. The bull was lying still, alert as well but sleeping better than he was. He head finally drooped in the odd dawn hours and snapped back up as the sun was rising. His body still had some aches but the edge had faded from most of them. Pidgey was stirring, feathers ruffling as he stretched. Kayla blinked awake and sat straight up, stiff as a board. The little doll was held tighter before she moved to put him carefully back in her bag.

The bull sniffed suddenly, finding something was odd about the air. There was an odd scent on the breeze and it was slightly distracting. Pidgey chirped suddenly and hopped over to the odd blue object sitting beside them. He grunted and leaned in closer, sniffing carefully. It did have a slight aroma and it was not terrible, just odd. Kayla reached out and picked it up, bringing it much too close to her face. She eyed it before it went immediately into a pocket on her bag. The wrist unit beeped and she cocked her head at it, pressing several buttons. It seemed to accept whatever she had just typed, muttering something with 'lottery' before quieting down again. The bag was slung on her back and she stood, ready to go apparently. He climbed to his feet, wincing at the stiffness and sore muscles. Some walking would be good though.

They walked for only ten minutes when her eyes were on him. He was limping still and, while he had tried to hide it, it had caught her attention. She tugged on his mane to get him to stop. The sad eyes stared at Chaos until he snorted, turning away from them. Her hands ran in small circles on his side and she dragged him off of the path they were following. He snorted again but lied down in the grass. Pidgey fluttered above them, circling twice before landing at his side. She sat beside him, handing him the last apple from her bag. He took it, crunching along the core.

Her head tilted as she watched him and he saw her eyes began to clear again. The girl bgean to fiddle with the wrist unit again and she seemed to know how to work the object. Her hands suddenly rested on his head. He watched her cautiously, wondering what she was thinking. Her chin fell to her chest and her eyes closed. Sleep? Well, he could do that maybe. He glanced around at the field crawling with random threats. Her head shook and Kayla bit her lip. "R...r...rest." It was slurred out and his brows drew together before it clicked. His kind could learn Rest. He grunted that he understood. She smiled and began to massage her shoulders. The touches were relaxing and he knew what she was doing. He had to completely relax and allow his entire body to rest. He closed his eyes, trying to not care about the people all around in the field. The slightly calming and eays scent from this morning was in front of him again and he concentrated on it. Her touches began to feel further away and he hoped he was getting it.

Pidgey watched the two and shuffled on the ground. She backed away from him slowly, leaving the incense burner in front of his large, wet nose. Her eyes fell on the bird and the smile returned. Well, she was looking at him now. She squatted down and gently stroked his head. He cooed softly and stretched up. Her smiled grew wider and she pointed at the very relaxed bull to him. He cocked his head before it clicked that she wanted him to learn something too. He nodded, more than willing. Learning something new was good. The bull was on his way to hopefully knowing Rest to get back on his feet. He wanted to learn some more attacks. She smiled and pointed to his wing before slapping her hands together. He blinked in confusion. 'Attack' came the grunt from the semi-conscious bull. Oh, Wing Attack. Yeah, that sounded like something he could do. She patted the ground and he nodded, following her. They could start on the ground. He squared his little feet up and spread his wings. She stood up beside him, looking more like a trainer now than she had in the last day. The girl struck out with her arm and he mimicked the move. He struck out with his left wing and then the right, hoping to get both profficient at the attack. He continued as the girl watched and, when both wings felt sufficiently stretched from the strikes, he kicked off into the sky. Kayla grinned up at him and rooted on the ground before picking up a fallen stick. She held it up high and he focused on it. Pidgey took in a deep breath and dove at the stick, wing out and ready to strike.

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.
Well, this was going to be a difficult task. You certainly had a bond with your pokemon, and they could sense your warm heart.. But, without any verbal instructions to go off of, this was really going to be quite a difficult task. Well, when I say difficult I merely mean not as easy as it could of been. Ontop of that, rest was an unusual move to try and teach. Although it was easy to rest, sleep and gain energy.. How does a pokemon use that to regain huge ammounts of health?

Still, your Tauros began to daze off. It's mind cleared of thoughts and its body set to relax. Nothing was going to wake him now.. Which is wierd, really. I mean, how much morphine do you have to be put on to not feel an incoming giga impact? Pokemon very rarely woke up from theese states. Although you couldn't see it, your Tauros was regaining health and energy quicker than usual. Ofcourse, it wasn't as rapid as it could be. Still, there wasn't much you could do. Rest was more of a learn-by-doing kind of mood and all you could wait for was for the move to take its natural toll. So, I suggest you just leave your Tauros to its rest, it wouldn't be too much longer, surely.

:tauros Rest: Learning curve: 60%

Now it was your Pidgeys turn, and again going off little instruction was going to prove difficult. Although, you did help with some demonstrations, so I guess it couldn't be too hard. He took to the sky, and aimed his sights on the stick you had held high above your head. With a quick swoop downward he stretched his wings and caught the stick with his right. The stick flew out of your hands, but it didn't break. That's what you want, the stick to break. Although your Pidgey had the basis of this attack down, and he did.. He needs to learn to impliment more strength and energy into his wings. It needs to be seen focused there. Without the emphesis in the wings this attack was little other than abit of an improvised tackle. Otherwise, this was a good learning curve. Practice makes perfect! I can't see theese attacks taking too long to master, they are pretty straight forward. Yet like I said early, without any real instruction all your doing is letting your pokemon go off of instinct.
