Millenia Town.. What a wonderful place to be! Having just arrived to this new region, you left the boat with your large bovine friend and had started to make your way along the beach when you saw the most horrifying thing. There, on the beach just feet away, was a Krabby... feasting upon a recently deceased Corphish. The Corphish's corpse was crushed, puncture wounds and dents seen all across the body. The Krabby was much larger than the Corphish, so it was likely much more mature. A Wingull trio circled overhead, waiting for their chance to swoop in and steal some of the Krabby's meal.. By the look of Krabby's large pincers, if one got too close he'd just snap it in half. The aggressive male Krabby reached out with a claw and dug into the exposed meat of the corpse. The outer shell of the Corphish crunched as the Krabby dug his claw deeper into the body, cracking more of the shell to get access to the better meat. Having got to what he desired, he withdrew his pincer. It dripped of a sickening colored goo, but in his grasp there was a sweet white and pink colored meat. Well, cannibalism wasn't unheard of in this universe. Humans have eaten other humans, so why can't a crab eat another crab?

It had been a terrible trip. The crew had been very unrelenting about the Tauros being on the ship. When she had first approached the men, Chaos in tow, they had waved their arms and shook their heads. Scared, she had backed up as the Tauros stepped forward with his head lowered. That got them to back up and rethink their position. If it had not have been for the kind man with the small beard, she would have never been able to get on board. Always smiling, he had calmly asked what the problem was. She had never looked at him directly, staring at the wooden boards of the dock instead. Unfazed, he had pulled some device out and had asked her name, saying it would help her get on the ship. With Chaos warily watching the man, she had entered her name on the machine and took the little red and white ball he offered her. Chaos had snorted but reluctantly lowered his nose to press against it, vanishing in a flash of red. Startled, she had dropped the ball and he appeared once again, ruffling his fur. The man had gotten off at another stop but had always smiled at her on the trip. She had smiled back at one point although her lips had remained sealed. Now, free of the sickening waves and the always pestering people, she slipped through the crowd and onto the beach. As though he could read her mind, Chaos popped out and shook off. The Tauros rested his nose against her shoulder for a quick moment and looked up at the cackling. Her fingers twisted in his mane, holding steady as the people walked by. He snorted in disdain at the large Krabby, eyes narrowing as it clicked its pinchers. The cracking was a terrible noise as the crab took another chunk out. The small whimper next to him made his head carefully turn. The girl was white as a sheet for some reason and growing paler by the minute. He lowed softly, attempting to drag her attention away from the sight. It was as she did not hear him, brown eyes locked on the carcass. In her head was a roaring, the cracking sending her back. Phantom pains sprang up through her. A terrible pressure was squeezing her head and her vision began to waver as another sickening crack echoed far away. He lowed again as she stumbled, tugging on his fur. He swept his horn under her stomach, holding her steady. Her breathing had turned to gasps and she was trembling. Snorting, he leveled a glare at the Krabby and shifted and got her weight resting completely on him. Chaos stepped as careful as possible across the sand, carrying the tiny girl away from the Krabby and his prey. His main concern was getting her to a quiet place, away from the beachgoers and Pokemon. It was only until he could not hear the Krabby when he finally lowered her to the ground. She had a death grip on his mane and he had to lower himself down as well. Lowing gently, he licked her cheek, pleased to note her color was coming back and her breathing had begun to slow. Her hand relaxed and she looked up at him, the brown eyes wide and still somewhat shaken. "Chaos," she whispered and he grunted, nodding. Her hand patted his side and she tried to stand, only to be held down by the bull. He grunted in warning and she grunted back. Her hand waved towards the city, a vague gesture to mean 'let's go'. Snorting, he threw his head back and waited for her to get the hint. There was no way he was letting her walk now. She glared but seemed to concede, fatigue evident in her slumped shoulders. Her hand gripped his mane as she dragged herself up on his back and settled behind his shoulders. He stood carefully and turned towards the direction she had waved in. Well, he knew her well enough to start looking for a way to open land without the houses and people nearby. Into the town directly would be a good first clue to finding out how to leave. |

Your Tauros seemed to be a loyal, determined and ever protective partner. Of course, everyone had a special kinship with their Pokemon...though yours seemed even deeper then that. Of course, the largered Pokemon would probably usually capture up the notice and attention of those around you, making them fear it's presence at times. But as you rode him into city, you soon felt the bustling of it's nature about you like electricity in the air. It was probably the complete opposite of what you were looking for, active and loud. Your Tauros keeping an alert ear I would presume, for your safety and his. But it wasn't long before signs and arrows were pointing you way. Offering a multitude of directions you could travel in, and many different paths you could follow. You could travel to the west, towards a swamp...where there might be more rare Pokemon. North, to the Joukai Tower, where serenity and peace were quite sought after. Or there was east, to the other larger city of Alternia. Of course, that didn't seem to be what you were interested in. But each area was different in it's own way. Heck, there even seemed to be happenings on the street. One man, dressed in blue jeans and a black shirt seemed to be attempting to sell Pokemon, or something to that effect. Another who seemed to be scowling at your Tauros. A resturant, a theater and even an office building. The possibilities were endless, of course everything was up to you. [Sorry if it didn't get no where, wanted to leave the choice up to you IC ] |

Kayla stared all around her, the buildings and signs blurring in her mind. Noise echoed in her head: incoherent and loud. Smells assaulted her at every moment: the sweet scent of a bakery, the sting from a dumpster in an alley. There was too much in the city and her head began to pound from sensory overload. Chaos hummed softly, an inquiry at her face pressing into his mane. She whined back, twisting her fingers tighter in his mane. He paused only slightly before continuing on. It would be good to get out of here. He finally stopped at a huge sign. His eyes traveled down it, unable to comprehend the characters. He shifted his shoulder to get her face up. Whining, she squinted at the sign for a quick moment before burying her face back into his mane. She did reach down and pat his right shoulder. Grunting in understanding, he took off to the right, heading down the road. People did glare at him and he supposed it was not uncalled for. His species was known for destroying anything in its path. He, however, had a more pressing matter to deal with as the girl curled more into him. The Tauros merely nodded to the people he passed, making sure he gave everyone a wide enough berth. Several stared in horror at the bull and those he did not look at in fears of sending them running. It was too long before he began to step on actual grass. A sign confirmed his wanderings had led them out of the city although he wasn't sure where he was. There was a mountain in the very distant background that would be a nice place for them to wander about for a while. She had missed Mount Moon, he was sure of it. He grunted at her, happy to note that her body had relaxed. Kayla looked up and around the open area. She shifted on his back, sliding down. He warned her with a stare and she stroked his nose. 'It's all right,' it meant but he did not relax. She shuffled off of the worn path and into the tall grass, him in tow. He was one step behind her, watching her while keeping his other senses focused on the area around them. It would not be good for them to be attacked so early on. Her hand reached back to grab his mane and she paused, staring at the device on her wrist. He glanced at it and then her, not pleased at the confusion on her face. She touched the green device warily, as though she had no idea where it had come from. The thing hummed and flashed before silencing again. She mouthed the words that flashed on screen and that seemed to calm her. He lowed at her softly, distracting her from the obvious frustration. Her hand reached out and ran down his muzzle, soothing. For her or him he was not sure but finally relax when she smiled. It had been so long since he had seen her face relax and the smile play with her lips. Something rustled behind her and she tensed again, eyes going wide. He snorted, stepping in whatever's path to defend her. He lowed loudly, daring the creature to come out. |

After passing up everything Millenia had to offer you found yourself on the path of Route 5, which lead to barren area of the Joukai Pass, a mysterious cavern that stretched onwards and held many strange and exciting pokemon. But for now you had to endure this long walk that would eventually lead you to what is hopefully your chosen destination. Riding Chaos through the streets certainly did pick up a lot of attention, but, and maybe it was through fear, no one dared speak up, and no one seemed to want to do anything about it. It seemed like if you had gone on a rampage, you wouldn't have met much competition from that section. Ah well, there's always next year. As you looked onwards towards the horizon you heard the sound of rustling coming from behind you. Although you were still very close to Millenia Town, there were parts where wild foliage began to grow and large bushes and trees dotted the surrounding area, leaving the place somewhat bleak and desolate, with just this small hint of foliage to liven it up. Anyway it was one of the bushes that caught your attention, and from it, a pair of eyes appeared leaping forward and bouncing around you. It was a Spoink. A playful little thing at that. It had been watching you ride your Tauros through the streets, and I'm guessing he wanted a go. Doubtful that Chaos would allow that, but you never though. He didn't seem like he wanted a battle right now, but maybe he could be provoked if you wished to. Or you could try talking or playing with him. Give him some attention. It looks like he's on his own, who knows where his family could be. Potential Pokemon ![]() Level 6 |

Chaos snorted at the odd pig, perturbed and confused. The little pig looked up at him, his eyes having to continuously move to keep him in his sight. The strange thing just kept moving, agitating the Tauros. His tails flicked as he glared at the little pig. He had never seen whatever it was before and he was sure Kaylya had not either. Kayla was clinging to him much like a child clung to a parent, eyes wide as she stared at the strange pig. It squealed softly, grating against Chaos' nerves. He shook his head in warning when it bounced forward. Luckily, it took the hint and went back to its original spot. It did not seem hostile but its constant moving did not sit well with him. She tugged on his mane, a plea to get away from the odd piglet. He grunted softly and turned her away from the pig, lumbering on her right side. His tails slapped his sides in warning to it: don't mess with me. It seemed to have understood as minutes later they were alone again. He moved slowly besides her, making sure to keep his shoulder in line with her body. He had learned quite a while ago about her disability on her right side. He had brushed up against her accidentally on her right side. Startled, she had lashed out and he had reeled back in shock. Almost immediately, she had withdrawn, curling up with her hands clasped over her ears. It had taken him nearly an hour to bring her back although she still was not right the rest of the entire day. He had been more careful on her right side, making sure she could see him. She had also taken to holding onto him, curling her fingers into his mane as they walked. While he had at first thought it was to remind her that he was beside her, he had a terrible nagging thought that it was to let her know he was real. Watching her today with the strange watch had only deepened his fear. While he was not entirely sure why they were here, he knew it had something to do with the doll she hugged at night. It was a while longer before she suddenly stopped in the middle of the field. He paused for a moment, glancing at their path. They had begun moving at an angle again. He was about to step back to correct it but her fingers tightened in his mane. Chaos glanced at her, watching her eyes unfocus. He grunted but received no response. Stiffening, he stared at the small tree that had captured her attention. His nostrils flared but they were upwind of the arbor unfortunately. She herself had stiffened and he dropped his head, lowing softly in warning to whatever it was out there. Her hand suddenly ran down his ribs in small circles. His muscles relaxed and he lifted his head. She smiled at him and he blinked. He had never seen her so...collected before. Her eyes were bright and there seemed to be something going on in her head. Kayla grunted, messing with the watch all the while smiling. He watched her in stunned silence, confused at this sudden burst of activity. She looked up at him and motioned with her head at the tree before slapping her hands together, the signal for attack. He lowed in inquiry, unsure of what she wanted. She did a small start, running forward a couple of steps before sliding to a stop. Her hand reached out and rested on his skull between his horns. A ramming attack it seemed. She repeated the feint again, this time lowering her head more. His eyes widened as he finally understood. He had seen many Tauros practicing Headbutt attacks back in the herd although he had not gotten old enough to fully learn the technique. Well, his species were pros at ramming things so the move should not be too hard to figure out. She smiled widely at him and he sincerely hoped this sudden burst of coherency lasted for a while longer. Chaos stepped back and squared himself up. Snorting, he let his tails fly to slap against his flanks. Adrenaline began to pump furiously in his veins as his nature awakened again. Nostrils flaring, he pawed the ground and lowered his head. He focused on the small tree, zeroing in on the target as the muscles in his shoulders and haunches tightened. Exploding forward, he roared and charged. His hooves thundered against the ground as he flew forward to ram the small tree, focusing his strength to his neck to keep the muscles tight and ungiving. Kayla grinned and hooted as he raced forward, her attention solely on his attempt. |

So, it was Headbutt to learn for Tauros, right? Well, that shouldn't be too difficult, considering that Tauros naturally wanted to destroy things, and it was not much more than a more powerful tackle... with the head. Well, Tauros was absolutely freaking out with the adrenaline boost, and he slammed into a nearby tree with his head. He knew the form, that's for sure, and he didn't have any problem lowering his head; generally speaking, the lowering of the head wasn't a necessarily difficult task in terms of difficult movements. The hit did some very nice damage, leaving a decent dent, and it looked like with one more hit, one more consistent shot for form-based reasons, would do it for this attack. Your Tauros certainly had the power... Headbutt Learning Curve: 70/100 % |

He lowed, stomping the ground as he backed away from the tree. Power was coursing through him now and it felt good to be in control. The tree was still standing which, in his clouded eyes, was not good. Chaos pawed the ground before backing up to a decent distant. This time the tree would be on the ground. He threw his head from side to side, stretching out the cramped muscles in his neck. His vision focused solely on the tree. Snorting, he lowered his massive head and stiffened momentarily. Bursting forward, his hooves slammed the ground as he charged. He covered the distance fast, tensing up to keep the impact on him low. Kayla was grinning on the side. She had stepped back a little more to keep from getting in the Tauros' way. He did not let himself out fully enough, she thought. Of course she had seen the other Tauros ramming headfirst into anything that moved. He was fying across the ground, looking more like a giant brown train than anything else. His first ram had been highly successful and his second one would probably seal the deal. A fluttering echoed. She was not entirely sure if it was in her head or the outside world. Her head turned up to stare at the sky. There was nothing up there but the fluttering grew louder as though feathers were rustling around her head. Her hands clenched and her eyes unfocused. She could see a brown phantom fluttering in her mind. The tiny bird hovered briefly before vanishing. It was a Pidgey, she remembered that much. A sudden ache started to throb in her arm, the same one that had happened when Chaos had lumbered up out of the rain many months ago. She whined unintentionally, a sure way to bring Chaos back out of his raging. He had finished his charge and looked over at her in confusion. Hurrying, he slid in front of her and sniffed her over. She did not appear injured from his standpoint. Her hand slid up and held onto a lock of his mane. He was disappointed to see the brightness fade but she smiled reassuringly for him. Grunting, she began to lead him away, mind set on something now. |

After crashing into the tree head first, Chaos would shake his head and return to the starting line. The bull shook his head once more, and then began the attack. He had focused quite a bit of strength into the upper half of his body, and then lowered his head. Now Headbutt wasn’t that hard to learn, in fact I’m almost positive it’s one of the easiest, especially with the power of a Tauros. The three-tailed bull quickly began his sprint towards the tree, and let out a fierce… moo? Anyway, the bull quickly gained speed and momentum, and in a matter of seconds he had collided into the tree once more. However, this time the forceful power behind the attack caused the tree to snap! The tree began to fall backwards, loud snapping could be heard, and leaves falling could be seen, and then it hit the ground. After your pokemon had finished his attack, you quickly began having bad memories. The image of a Pidgey flew through your head, and then your arm started hurting causing you to cry out in pain. In an instant Chaos was beside you, trying his best to comfort you. Noticing that you weren’t actually hurt, he motioned his head towards the tree, wanting you to compliment him on what he had done. Your Tauros was still a youngster and he managed to break a tree in half, but that’s when you saw it.. A rustling in the leaves was seen at first, and then a small brown head popped out. It was a Pidgey, and it didn’t look to happy.. Headbutt learning curve 100% Congratulations! Headbutt has been mastered! Chaos nuzzled her before turning to the fallen tree. His hair stood on end at the noise. Grunting, he snorted and lowered his head until the little brown head popped out. The bird did not seem happy at all. He winced at the fallen arbor and did quite understand the Pidgey's annoyance. He lowed softly, apologizing for knocking the tree down. He was about to continue, hoping to placate the Pidgey when Kayla let go of his mane. He paused, watching her closely. She stared at the Pidgey, not moving from where she had stopped in front of him. The two were staring at each other and he was sure the Pidgey was confused on what she was doing. He was confused himself. He lowed gently, hoping the Pidgey would not attack Kayla for her closeness. At least most Pidgeys were docile. Kayla turned back to Chaos. The Tauros stared dumbfounded at her. She was smiling although her eyes showed she was out of it. He grunted softly at her, gesturing with his head to get her to back up. He wanted to make sure she would not be attacked and that he was between her and the Pidgey. Her hand reached out and ran down his muzzle. He relaxed only slightly, one eye on the baffled Pidgey. She moved closer to him, tugging on his mane. He grunted in inquiry and her hands began gesturing wildly. He followed her movements, snorting to get her to slow down. His brow winged up at her request and he lowed to ask if she was sure. Her smile widened and her eyes cleared up for a brief moment. Rolling his shoulders, he stepped forward just a bit to the Pidgey. He looked over at her one last time before he faced the small bird again. Once again, he apologized for knocking the tree over. He hesitated then, unsure of how to phrase her request. It was...odd really. However, he was not about to tell her no he would not. So now he faced the dilemma of trying to word this request. He finally sighed and began to tell the Pidgey of their journey to this new land. He did not know a lot of the creatures that inhabited this odd island nor any of the places here and he was her only protector. The girl, he said to the Pidgey, was not right in the head as far he knew. She seemed to be getting better the longer he stayed with her and more creatures around her could possibly be what she needed to finally be in the real world. Her asking the Pidgey to come with them was proof enough that she was getting better as she had shied away from all other Pokemon and people. He did not want to fight the Pidgey as he would be at a disadvantage what with the bird being able to fly. If not for the long road, the Tauros amended, then at least until they could find the Pidgey a new home. He grunted then, shrugging almost as he said he could let the Pidgey ride on his horn instead of having to fly the entire time. Chaos looked hopefully at the bird, knowing now he could not do this by himself anymore. Edited by Roses are Red, Nov 29 2010, 04:51 PM.

The Pidgey was pretty much agitated, he looked up at chaos and was a little bit plotting to peck the beast in the nose and fly away to the open sky in revenge. He had his eyes locked on the Tauros and not as much on the girl, as, well the girl couldn't have knocked the tree over with that nimble head of hers. But then the girl came closer to her, in reaction, the pidgey fluttered out of the branches of the fallen tree onto a bare branch of a tree next to it. They now just watched each other, indeed the Pidgey was a bit confused, but still it wasn't happy what just happened. He didn't live in that tree, but it was perfect place to relax and kick back. The moment she turned around, and the beast that caused all this havoc was in between him and the strange girl again, he was a little bit curious, to come with his minor confusion and his somewhat lowered anger. They were out there now, and it looked like the Tauros was hurt a little. He then just decided, to just leave the two. Sure that bull destroyed his 'crib' but if that was the worst thing that happened to him today, it would be fine. He hopped up on the branch, making his backside face the trainer and her Pokemon, he scratched under his wing with his beak. Like most birds tend to do, and was flapping his wings, ready for take off. It was on that very moment the pidgey was spoken too by the bull. This made him turn around again, and well, he had nothing better to do. So he listened. At the first line, well that wasn't a big surprise, he felt something was odd about the girl from the start. It were the following lines, the request that got his attention. This would be perfect, the perfect chance to make a demand, a kind of a request in return for him forgiving the broken tree, and the yes-word on the joining issue. He was looked at hopefully, and offered a ride of the bull's horn?.....What a nice requests. But still. The bird nodded, but before Chaos could be happy about it, the pidgey pointed it's wing at one other tree, a feet or 9 away from their location. He explained that there some delicious lightly sour apples would be, and he wanted one of them. The only problem was that he would have to deal with a certain Pokemon pest to get to them, and he knew he wouldn't have enough power in him to beat that bully away. So he simply asked Chaos to get rid of that pest, get him and apple, and then he would join them. Fair trade, he thought himself. He now reached out his wing, in a gesture of sealing the deal. Now, what is it. Deal or no deal? |

Chaos looked over at the tree close by. It seemed peaceful enough and well they had nothing better to do. While he was not looking for a fight as he had had quite enough with ramming the tree, if it would make Kayla happy then he was up for it. Rolling his shoulders, he turned to the girl. He was entirely sure she had not understood most of what was said. She was looking at him hopefully and he lowed softly. 'Be a bit,' he communicated and then gestured with his head over at the tree. 'Need to do something.' He stomped the ground, giving her a stern look. 'Stay here.' She stared up at him and nodded, sitting on the ground. Well, she had taken it a little too literally but he could deal with it. He looked up at the Pidgey and politely asked him to watch the girl and keep her from going to the tree. Chaos did not want her in danger especially since he had no idea what he would be facing. He trekked over to the apple tree, listening intently for anything out of the ordinary. It did not seem like there were many Pokemon around at all. He was not sure if it was because of whatever inhabited the tree was scaring them off or if it was just the weather. It had gotten slightly chilly and he could smell winter approaching. He would have to make Kayla wear her jacket when he got back to make sure she did not get sick. He shook his head, wondering when he had become his mother. Cautiously, he stopped a couple of feet away from the tree. The apples did look good and he was sure Kayla would like some as well. Chaos lowed loudly, announcing his presence although he was sure the creature knew he was here. He asked if he could take a few of the apples back with him, hoping that would draw the Pokemon out. He stayed tense, listening intently. |

Life is not a fairytale and there are no happy endings.

Route 5 You walked over to the tree, stopping at a safe distance and looking up at the delicious apples. They sure did look good, you could see why the little Pidgey wanted one. You called up into the tree, to alert any potential enemies in there that you were after one. You waited for about 10 seconds or so, but nothing returned a call and you decided that the tree was safe. You took another few steps and got to the trunk of the tree, looking up you began to wonder how you were going to get up there and grab some of the fruity goods. You merely put one hand on the tree and-- "PI- PIDGEY!" The Pidgey from behind squawked and flapped its wings worryingly. You were looked over your shoulder at it wondering what had sent it off like this, before you turned and looked back up into the tree. Suddenly, two quick blurs flew down from the green top and either one slammed into your shoulders, knocking you down onto your backside. You groaned as you got up, in the air above you were two cocky looking Spearows, both flapping directly above you, looking down at you and almost laughing at you. They began to circle you slightly, before one of them noticed the Pidgey sat up in the nearby tree. It flew over to it, and got right up in the pidgeons face, squawking slowly almost as if it was threatning the poor bird to 'beat it.' Then the other Spearow noticed where its companion had gone, and flew over to the Pidgey too. It got up behind it and spread its wings wide asif it were creating a corner for the other Spearow to corner it into. What will you do now? You should help the poor thing and maybe try to befriend it. Theese Spearow were certainly bullying it. Opponents Level 6 Level 7Potential allies Level 5

Chaos shook his head, groaning. Of course it would be damned birds. Snorting, he squared himself up and searched for the Spearows. Oh, he had dealt with them before. Kanto had been crawling with the fierce birds, especially when they traveled to Mount Moon. While he had managed to outrun the slow birds with Kayla clinging terrified to him, he had to do something physical now. The birds were much too close for comfort to her huddled on the ground although they seemed to have gone for Pidgey. It probably would have been a good idea to ask what the bully, er, bullies were before agreeing. He raced on back to the other tree, snorting wildly. Kayla had taken cover in some taller grass, eyes wide and scraed. He took one moment to rub his muzzle against her before turning to the other tree. 'Stay down,' he communicated. He stepped away from her, giving her about five feet of room and lowed loudly at the birds. His tails twitched and began to whip against his sides. Adrenaline began to kick in as his anger began to rise. His head lowered and he charged the tree, ramming it forcefully to get their attention. If anything, he wanted at least one of them to come down and face him. He pinned the Pidgey with a stern look, as though telling him he needed to help as well. If any of those birds came down, well, he'd try to knock them to the ground to do a Headbutt if he could. |

Route 5 A ground ridden pokemon against 2 fliers with a potential flying ally to back it up? True, this battle would be difficult, but that is the excitement of training pokemon. The two Spearow, one female and the other male, continued to back Pidgey into a corner. The Pidgey though distressed had two escape route with enough opening for his tiny frame: he could swoop down, or soar up. He decided to do the former, and leaned forward swiftly, escaping the "corner" that had been set up. The two Spearow followed the Pidgey and it seemed he had a plan, it did not take much to notice that the Pidgey was leading the Spearow on a one way ticket to Headbuttville. In simpler terms, Pidgey was cleverly using its speed and vulnerability to lead the Spearow into Tauros's attacks. It was a smooth move, and it worked exactly how he had planned, if not better. Pidgey flew towards the hunched Tauros, the two Spearow close behind with the male in front of the female. At the last moment, Pidgey swooped sharply upwards, and Taurous launched his head. The first spearow was hit straight on, it must have hurt, the female one was only a second later and rammed into the back of her commrade, damaging him furthur. It could not have worked better for you, the two Spearow were too dazed to strike back, in fact the female faltered in her flight and the male was quite sloppy. Pidgey was out of sight, but he was close by waiting for another strike. Good news, the male Spearow appeared of have a damage wing, which means his flight was limited. Your move.
