Species Description:

Species History:
The first Spherus was a small virus, made of a few random spheres, created awkwardly by college students in an attempt to steal a Porygon. Upon encountering the Porygon the original was meant to steal, it attempted to copy the Porygon, though the pokemon's copyright protections caused the copy to be a highly corrupted data stream that the virus attempted to incorporate into itself. The patriarch rampaged though the internet, collecting and storing data from the world-wide web. The influx of data caused it grow into a larger and hefty beast, that under the right circumstances, may absorb the power of any Pokémon. Eventually the first Spherus developed the ability of replication and made many copies of itself sending them everywhere that had a good internet signal.

When one is in the physical world, having escaped the computer system, its data-form body is interpreted into a semi-physical form of poison bubble spheres each containing a single bit of stolen data, holding a tiny fraction of its power. Porygon's data allowed the creation of a physical body, but the high level of corruption and the sheer amount of conflicting data inside a Spherus cause it to form just these electrified bubbles, each representative of a single bit of data; meaning millions make up the form of one. To the naked eye the structure isn't much more than a hundred or so bubbles as the smaller ones form a lattice structure into larger ones; creating a body around the same toughness as a Porygon. On the event that a Spherus's body is destroyed, it hides in the nearest computer, usually the owners Poketch, until it has enough strength to re-emerge. When under these circumstances, Spherus MUST heal itself, attempting to use a Pokémon center healing machine will fail, but may cause Spherus to hide within for a couple hours, or the machine to experience a blackout. The best bet to revive one hiding in a poketch is a strong electric attack to the device.

Spherus are most natural; however, to the electronic world and thus are commonly found all over the internet. They are completely impervious to attack while in digital form and are known to play around and cause delays in electronic devices though mischievously wasting energy. Its very rare for any real harm to be done by their actions. However, thieves have been known to use them to steal data and destroy hard drives. Also, a band of mischievous teenagers in Kijutsu used them to make the street lights pulse in a rhythmical fashion, perfectly harmless, but still causing people to scream about aliens for weeks. Occasionally, a wild Spherus may physically manifest out any computer, a Poketch or a center healing machine; they will attack whoever stands too close and steal power from wherever they can, causing temporary black-outs.

Egg Group(s): Indeterminate [Only breeds with other Spherus and Ditto; Requires Mech Egg to breed in captivity. Wild Spherus breed inside abandoned servers, etc.] Requires Mech Egg****
Egg Moves: None

*
Attack Name: Bit Siphon
Attack Element Type: :electric
Attack Type: :other
Attack Description: The user bright blue electric spikes into the opponent, which slowly drain health from the victim, sending a blue stream of recovery to the user.
Attack Effect: 6% of HP & Energy drained to user every turn. Effect is lost if target switches out, but gained if they're switched back in, while the drain will continue if the user switches out; although, the new Pokemon will not receive the draining HP/ENG.

**
Attack Name: Corrupt
Attack Element Type: :dark
Attack Type: :other
Attack Power: Non-Damaging
Attack Description: A scanning light passes through the opponent. For a moment Spherus's spheres form into the shape of a DNA strand, then this breaks. The pokemon then fires out a few spheres of a virus to try to "corrupt the opponents data," making it sick.
Attack Effect: 85% Chance of causing the Virus Condition

***
Attack Name: Data Drain
Attack Element Type: :electric
Attack Type: :special
Attack Power: C
Attack Description: The user fires a blue lighting stream at the opponent. Once hit, half the damage done is transferred back to the user as health. The returning energy looks like signal bits of data in the air. Bypasses Electric Type Resistance. [Divine Light sets precedent.]
Attack Effect: 50% Damage dealt is recovered, 50% eng used drained from opponent.

Basic Information:
Name: Mech Egg
Item Sprite: [needs transparency]
Posted Image
[I made this one pokemon size instead of item size for obvious reasons, though I can make the other if necessary.]
Optional Image: I used the standard egg sprite and mechanized it. [Party Egg Sprite for Spherus]
Posted Image

Item Information:

Weight: 28 lbs.
Height: Same as normal eggs.
Effects: Developed by Scion as a way of creating a physical egg for Spherus breeding. Only known way of breeding them in captivity. The egg is filled to the brim with digital storage space for the young virus to develop in; sparks dance around the exterior as the electric pokemon grows in power. A single cooling fan on the upper half is the only window into the pokemon's development. The egg is reuseable, as the only portion that breaks when Spherus hatches is the Yellow and black strip along the center; but it can only hold one developing Spherus at a time. Give as a held item to Spherus, while leaving at a daycare center for the egg to become active (the fan whirring is the only sign that it's a fertile egg.

Done. And you are correct I basically just reposted this from a personal saved file I had of the fakemon, which was accepted by I believe it was Munch/Jean/Bubbles on Old Tohea, I would agree it should be edited to suit here.

It seems more fitting to digimon in my opinion.. A virus that rampages through the internet? It really doesn't seem like a Pokemon to me at all.

That is actually Porygon's original concept design. A Viral Pokemon made by Team Rocket to infiltrate governments' computer systems and take over the world by completely blocking their defensive systems.

One of four of Team Rocket's Experiment Pokemon.

Please tell me the other three, I'm assuming Mewtwo is one and maybe Ditto?, if/when you can remember them.

@Rem, I don't know much about digimon, though from my basic understanding the creatures where visual representions of virus, etc. in virtual space, 3-D models so to speak. A computer virus come into the real world be taking on a strange awkward forme is...completely the opposite?

@All: Not sure how much if any the description needs awesomeness toned down, as for the moveset and tech stuff, I'm thinking of getting rid of the grass-type stuff and replace with unique draining moves (of :electric type probably)

OH MY GOD I REMEMBER THIS FAKEMON. I thought it was a great idea originally, and I'm going to stand by it now. If Explosion wasn't so high-leveled, though, I would have suggested getting rid of it, though that's more of an opinionated thing. Also, Spherus learning Water Pulse and Ice Beam? They don't exactly seem to make much sense. Review your TMs a little bit and see if there are things that should probably not be there.

Yeah I agree! I like the idea of it but look over some of the TM as I believe that Surf and such do not really belong. Other then those few moves I like the idea of it, but I am still confused as to how it weighs so much.

Original design? Is it the design they went with? and even so it fits more with digimon in my opinion, Porygons 'original' design isn't going to change that. And as for being a complete opposite, a virus can't be the complete opposite of a virus just because it's in a different form, it's still a virus. AND, the digimon came in to the real world in there digital forms and began attacking it, jussayin'.

Can't say I like the 85%.

Don't really like the new Status. Is it supposed to be a Major or a Minor Status? If Major it doesn't end after battle making it pretty broken. Though recalling WILL reset the stats that were changed due to the status effect. And it be better if you also had an Item to cure it instead of adding an uncureable disease into the RP.

Its a no to the bypass Resistance from me for the second attack. If it were an ability, ok, but Not part of the attack. Only a handful of attacks can bypass resistance and they are Bide, Dragon Rage, Siesmic Toss, Sonic Boom, Nightshade, Counter, Mirror Coat, and a few others that I can't remember right now. Basically Set Damage or counter attacks. Also don't like the Porygon addition. Attacks won't effect specific Pokemon more than others.

Don't really like Electric Parasite either.

Right now, its a no from me.

I don't get digital reproduction. if it is born inside a pokeball, wouldn't that make it captured? I feel like that's a tad iffy. The special ability and poketech part i don't mind. just the pokeball part.

The idea is like it's inside the device/tech itself at that point and not inside the capture mechanism. The ball could even be holding a different pokemon at the time.
