Making Pokemon More Fun/Harder

Ok, so lately I have had a small urge to play my pokemon games again (Could be from Black & White) but there is still the problem that they aren't as much fun as they used to. It could be that they are just too easy, but either way I need something to make them more fun. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to make them funner or more challenging. Here are a few things I have thought of or saw online.

1. Use one type throughout the entire game.
[Frost's spin - Use the D&D Dice rollers. Make it 17 sides (for 17 types) and roll a dice. Whichever number it lands, count in order (A-Z), and that is the type you must use. If it lands on ghost or something, you may use your starter until you find a ghost pokemon, but as soon as you find one you must use that and all ghost types in battle. You may use pokemon with two types, but one of the those types must be the type your using. You can use pokemon that evolve into the type, but must evolve them ASAP. Pokemon that are the type, but the evolved form is not, you cannot evolve.]

2. Use only one pokemon throughout the entire game.

3. Use only baby pokemon or form one pokemon the entire game.
[Frost's Spin - For those of you veterans or whom want a BIG challenge, use one type.]

4. (Found this online somewhere)
- If a Pokemon in your party faints, you must release it.
- Every time you reach a new route, cave, etc., you must catch the very first Pokemon you see, regardless of your current number of party members. The Pokemon may sit within the box for an indeterminate amount of time as a backup.
- If you fail to catch the first Pokemon you see, either via it fleeing, knocking it out, or having no Pokeballs, you may not catch another.
- This means you can not catch a pokemon in a route you were in before. Even if you didn't catch a Pokemon. So no route 1, you were there before you had pokeballs.
- If a town you go to contains a body of water or a gift, pokemon like Bill’s Eevee in G/S/C/HG/SS, that may be considered a Pokemon of a new area.
- You must nickname your pokemon so there is some sort of attachment. Each pokemon is a best friend to you, to see them die is heartbreaking.
- If your entire party faints, they all must be thrown away. If you have a pokemon left in a box somewhere, you may continue, otherwise you must start your game over.
- Treat pokeballs as rare artifacts; at no point can you buy them from stores. You can only use ones you find in the wild or are awarded.
- You are, under no circumstance, allowed to get a second pokemon from any given area.
- You are, under no circumstance, allowed to use items outside of battle. If you were poisoned on your last turn of the battle, you better hope there is a pokemon center nearby.
- You may not switch out before the enemy trainer sends in a new Pokemon.
- You are not allowed to use legendaries in battle.
[Frost's Spin - You may not buy any additional items, you can only use items given to you or found. With this, you can use potions, or even a revive if a pokemon dies. (So if you have a revive, you wouldn't have to release it right away, but you cant buy any from stores) This could make the game easier in some ways, but also harder.]

Just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions. I may try Number 4 or Number 1, unless someone has a better suggestion.

In short, beat the game without ever touching a Pokecenter. The game becomes a long struggle of PP conservation.

Additionally, no growing berries, to prevent growing Leppa berries to make this easier.

#4 is the Nuzlocke Challenge posted here:http://s1.zetaboards.com/Alternia/topic/3716997/1/

I know there is also the No evolvling Challenge where you treat every Pokemon as if they had Ever Stone. You are not allowed to evolve any of your Pokemon, but can catch evolved Pokemon.

There is the Gym Leader Challenge, where you RNG one of the Gym Leaders for that region and all you can have on your party is Pokemon they own.

Baby Challenge, you already listed it.

No shop challenge, only Items you are allowed to use are the items you find in the wild/recieve from NPCs.

Gift Challenge, you are not allowed to catch any Pokemon (with exceptions to those that are needed for in game trades. EX. Bellsrpout for Onix in Violet City.) The only Pokemon you are allowed to use are those that are given to you or are tradable. (You can only catch trade Pokemon once you know of their trades In game.)

This was something I did personally: The "do not train" challenge.

Rules:
Never defeat a wild pokemon.
You cannot challenge the first gym, unless you have a 5 level disadvantage (highest level of 7 against Brock).
You cannot challenge the second gym and any remaining gyms whose level is below 30, without a 10 level disadvantage.
You cannot use any pokemon over level 30, except for last three of the elite four and the champion, as it's impossible to stay below 30 with the amount of EXP gained there.
You MUST catch all legendaries.
You may only use Pokeballs and Premier Balls.

Advice: TM Attract is your friend.
