Shimo City - Outskirts Covering the opening with snow was probably a good idea. Don't want to be attracting any more potential threats, do we? No, these two are enemy enough. Van Gouh dashed at the Snover, but the tree was faster. He blew a Powder Snow at your little sketch...dog...thing (seriously what IS a Smeargle?) causing a good bit of damage. Still, Van Gouh managed to get in his Fire Fang before a second strike could be fired, knocking that Snover right out. Van Gouh turned to deliver a Razor Leaf at the Snubbull, but he couldn't get a clear shot while Absol was duking it out with the dog. He gave her a nasty Leer, lowering her defence, but she was already on her way to chomp down on Absol with a fierce Thunder Fang! A second bite sent sparks flying through Absol's body. The disaster Pokemon shook his head and calmed his mind. In his zen state he slammed his psychically charged head into Snubbull for a mean Zen Headbutt! Snubbull stumbled back a few steps allowing Van Gouh to release his Razor Leaf, cutting deep into Snubbull. Now that it's a two-on-one in your favour you're bound to win this battle soon. I'd still watch out, though. This dog isn't beat yet, and I'm sure she's got a few tricks up her sleeve. Van Gouh is almost down for the count, and so is Absol. Play this smart and you'll have assured victory for yourself. Team Elizabeth Team Wild Pokemon The previous refs didn't account for Snubbull's Intimidate, so I just added it in this round. |

All of the Pokemon were breathing heavily after the battle they had fought. Snover was down, Snubbull was weakened, but so were Elizabeth's Smeargle and Absol. She had managed to hold her own some how and that was a miracle on its own. Elizabeth looked at the fallen Snover and felt sorry for it. Thankfully it was an ice type so it wouldn't die if left alone. She was thinking of catching the Snubbull though. "Absol stay back and avoid conflict with the Snubbull. Van Gouh, we'll finish it from a bit away. use Razor Leaf to finish it off. If you miss try Icy Wind instead." Her Pokemon nodded and started to take thier positions. Absol was starting a slow retreat while Van Gouh was getting ready to attack. All Elizabeth had to do now was wait for the poor dog to faint so she could try to catch it. She held onto her last Pokeball tightly and readied to throw. She couldn't let her team stay out in this weather. As soon as the battle was over, Elizabeth was going to head towards the Pokemon Center in Shimo where she chould take a nice long rest with her Pokemon. |

(Dunno why Amii didn't catch the Snubbull when I had in my last post to catch it. This one is going to be short so I can catch it. Please if the player mentions going to catch it, at least attempt to post that and not force the member to waste an entire post doing nothing just so they can catch the Pokemon. I have to ignore half the ref cause I'm not that close to Shimo so I can't see the Pokemon Center nor can I move until the capture is verified by the next mod.) Elizabeth's hands shook from how cold she was starting to feel despite the heavy jacket she was wearing. She had trouble arching her arm back for the throw, but she managed to lift it up. She didn't want to get too close to the Pokemon in fear that there might be something else lurking about. Her Pokemon were also shivering while staying alert. Both Van Gouh and her Absol's breath was visible as they panted from exhaustion. Elizabeth motioned her arm forward and threw the Pokeball from where she was and aimed for the knocked out Snubbull. As much as she wanted the Snover, the Snubbull's moves would benefit her team much better as well as the poor dear wouldn't survive out in this weather unconscious. It would freeze before it came to. The Snubbull wouldn't be a wasted addition so she was happy to choose it over something she wanted. Another time, when she was better prepared, would she venture out to try for Snover again. For now, she must wait for the Pokeball to signal the capture so she could continue on to Shimo. (Should I capture the Snubbull, I'd like to get to Shimo so I can have my Madness spawn please.) Shimo City - Inside the City Walls Mid-Afternoon Clear Skies - Snow on Ground Nothing quite like giving a Pokémon a chance to run like the clappers, is there? Obviously, that would be a moot point - that Snubbull was going to be a long way away from getting up and moving anywhere, unless someone strapped a rocket to her. The PokéBall quickly pressed down upon the Fairy Pokémon, encapsulating her within a beam of red light that was sucked straight into the capsule. Within a few brief seconds, the catch on the ball slammed shut - the Snubbull was yours! Now that you had sealed the deal with your newly caught Pokémon, you noted that the PokéBall immediately vanished - it appeared as though you had no legal space left in your Pokémon team, so the Snubbull had moved off to your PC. You would be able to pick her up once at a Pokémon Centre - though of course, you had to get back to Shimo first before you could even consider that prospect. Ignoring the two Pachirisu, you steadily made your way through the snowy drifts that dotted the landscape, hoping to avoid falling into the snow and making a real fool of yourself - in addition to potentially freezing to death. You and your partner Pokémon were visibly struggling to cope with the frozen conditions - but as the time passed, the city of Shimo came into view. Finally, you would have a chance to get inside any place and get some warmth back into your cold bones. Very soon, you were back within the walls of the city - and my goodness, what a relief it was. However, before you could even consider looking for some form of warmth, you noticed an old man saunter up to you, muttering some complete nonsense - you weren't even sure what he was talking about! Despite not really understanding what the man had just told you, you weren't going to reject the four black balls he handed you. However, before you considered what to do with these balls, you heard a rather loud scream from the next street. You couldn't help but take a look at what was going on - only to find that several creatures from the Void Beyond (also known as the Nothingness) had appeared in the middle of the City! Time to take them on! Shimo City - Inside the City Walls Nightfall Clear Skies - Snow on Ground Quite how you managed to succeed with that terrifying battle against the Nothingness creatures, I don't know. It was certainly worth the experience, even if your fingers were about ready to drop off from Frostbite! Being as cold as you were, you could potentially walk up to any building and they would let you in - though isn't there a Pokémon Centre that you need to visit first? Elizabeth rubber her arms in the cold air. Shimo wasn't a very kind place to her. First was the freezing cold weather, then there was that odd attack by Pokemon she'd never seen before. She managed to hold them off as well as she could and managed to survive that massive demon's attack. Her Pokemon seemed to have received a decent amount of experience during the ordeal, even Van Gouh seems more into defending Elizabeth than usual. Her little art beagle guardian stayed by her side growling at every shadow they passed just in case there were more of those strange Pokemon. Elizabeth managed to make her way to the Pokemon Center where she could rest. Staggering in she recalled Van Gouh and asked for a room for the night. Being escorted to her room, Elizabeth crashed into the bed just laying there. She was too tired to even undress, curling up on top of the blankets and falling to sleep. Her sleep went soundly as night turned to day outside and she was shook by her noble pooch. Wiping the sleep from her eyes she looked around the room and had to try to remember why she was there. Remembering all the events that transpired she got out of the bed and brushed her clothes straight. "I'm sorry boy. You did a really good job. Guess this is where our adventure really begins huh?" Van Gouh nodded and smiled up at his trainer. She still didn't have any clear path to follow other than to travel around, but she nor Van Gouh minded this kinda course. They'd find their calling in all due time. In the meanwhile, Elizabeth opened the door after gathering her things and walked out of the Pokemon Center. "Lets explore Shimo for a while." |

Shimo City - Inside the City Walls Noon Sunny - Snow on Ground That was quite the much-needed rest, wasn't it Elizabeth? Considering just how much you had done, from travelling the frozen lands of Byayuki Island all the way to doing battle with the creatures from the Nothingness themselves, I was unsurprised to see you sleep for that long. In truth, I'm not even sure you knew just how long you had been out for - as you awoke, somewhat bleary eyed, you noticed that the bright blue sky was almost glittering from the radiance of the winter sun as you glanced out of the window. You were somewhat confused, though, considering the yellow sphere of light was virtually invisible to your brown orbs of sight. Lifting your head up into the sky, however, you finally realised the truth - you had slept for so long that it was now noon! With your loyal Pokémon by your side, you gracefully stepped out of the Pokémon Centre and into the city streets, nonchalantly glancing around for anything (or anyone, for that matter) that caught your eye. Admittedly, you had to be graceful in your strides - one misstep and I can't imagine the amount of damage your clothing would take! However, as you continued traversing the streets of this snowy city, you soon realised that there was very little that you could help with. How could you find your calling if there was nothing that allowed you to? Admittedly, you might just be in the wrong part of Alternia for that kind of life-changing event, but right now you appear to be just a speck on the map, overcome by the teeming waves of humanity that co-exist with you throughout the lands. Moments later, however, something finally did catch your eye. It was never going to be something massive around the city of Shimo, but a tiny eye curiously staring at you from behind a wall had certainly managed to grab your attention. You had been around this frozen place for a fair amount of time, but it appeared as though this creature, whatever he was, had been piqued by your unusual attire. Can't say I blame him, in truth - your clothing looks as though it either should be worn by a member of royalty or, at the very least, a Victorian English lady! Maybe you should say hello to this young thing? Who knows where it may lead you to? WILD POKÉMON Level 15
