(Wahaha…)

When faced with something as insurmountably adorable as a playful Pichu, there is little option but to just go “Awww!” internally and let the rest take its’ course. When Meditite got the okay to go with the Pichu, he almost immediately relaxed from his normally stoic position. Slowly reaching down, Meditite held out a hand to the Pichu, who immediately took the opportunity to jump up and latch onto the extended limb. Not content just to be held, however, Pichu ran up your Pokemon’s arm and sat on his shoulder, bravely holding on to one of his ears while looking around at the world from a brand new perspective. If there was one thing that was blatantly obvious about this little guy, it was that he had a happy-go-lucky approach to the world and that he was probably the least-threatening thing in this entire forest.

When Meditite began to hover off towards the clearing, Pichu let out a super-cute “Pichuuu!” in excitement, scrambling up the side of Meditite’s head to sit at the very top of his new method of transportation. After a brief moment of sticking his nose into the wind, the Pichu extended his tiny arms and gave in to the fantasy that it had somehow grown wings and was flying. You turned your eyes away from the sight for a moment, probably to make sure that you didn’t have an overload of adorable-ness, looking for two very specific types of Pokemon. While your Meditite went gallivanting with the Pichu, your eyes wandered further into the forest on the other side of the path you were on, scouring the scenery for anything that could be what you’re looking for.

That’s when you saw it! Something bright red, flickering, floating through the forest! As you strained your eyes, you could see that it was spherical in shape, moving in strange jerky movements through the air, with something small, thin, and white trailing from its’ back end. That’s when you realize….it was a balloon! (Dun dun dun…)Exasperated, you turned your head back to see how Meditite and Pichu were doing. They were playing some form of tag, with Pichu scurrying around the meadow, leaping up every so often to touch Meditite and then sprinting away with a teasing “Piiiichuuuu!”

Seeing that they were still okay, you spent the next five minutes straining your eyes to find anything that resembled a fire or electric type in the surrounding area to no avail. Turning your head to call Meditite back over to you, you realized that instead of two Pokemon playing in the meadow, there were now three! A flaming horse was now playfully rearing onto its’ hind legs, to the amusement of the now-clapping Pichu. Meditite, however, was looking dead at you from across the distance, as if wondering when the hell you were going to get over there and realize the potential of this situation!

Chris almost did a double take when he saw the horse Pokemon. That was actually the one he was looking for, since they were common outside of town. Well more common than the more sought after fire types, like Charmander or Torchic. However, like Pichu this one seemed more interested in playing than fighting.

Letting out a sigh, Chris headed for the group. Even though they might not join him, now was a good time as any to let his Pokemon know what he wanted in life. As he got closer to the group he pulled out the Pokeballs of his other two Pokemon and called them out. "Let's go, Wingull. Spinarak."

They appeared in their usual fashion, Wingull stretching his wings and Spinarak looking bored. However seeing the two Pokemon before him, Spinarak perked up. Meditite saw the look and sent Chris a mental image of the bug Pokemon wanting to attack. Chris immediately put his hand in front of Spinarak and shook his head. "No." Spinarak seemed to sulk, and then laid down in defeat.

Letting out a smile, Chris turned his attention to the Pokemon at hand. "Sorry to interrupt your play time, but there's something I need to tell you." He looked at Ponyta and Pichu, and then pulled out a handful of Pokemon food from his backpack and divided it into five small morning snacks and laid them before the Pokemon. "You might get hungry listening to me, and after I'm done you can play for a while more." He was looking at the two wild Pokemon as he spoke.

Chris sat before his Pokemon, who were enjoying their small snack. "As you know, everyone has goals when it comes to Pokemon. Some use them for battles, others for crime. I figured I should let you know mine." He took a deep breath before continuing. "The first major goal is to help people. Well people and Pokemon."

Meditite gave a nod, as he already knew the plan from being around Chris. However the other two were unconvinced. Spinarak just gave a disgusted look, but Wingull spoke up. "Wingull. Gull Wingull." Chris looked at the flying Pokemon, trying to figure out what he said. After a moment a tendril of thought snaked its way into his mind. "He asked why you challenge Pokemon if you want to help." Glancing at Meditite, Chris gave a slight smile. It was handy having a psychic Pokemon around when you wanted to understand another. He turned his attention to Wingull again, this time looking less confused. “Well, the reason is because sometimes you need to protect someone in order to help them. And the best way to protect them is to fight for them.” He gestured towards the city. “Meditite and I had to fight to protect a little girl and her Meowth. And last night we fought to protect Glameow.”

”Rak. Spinarak.”, Spinarak muttered under his breath. Chris looked towards Meditite, waiting for a translation. ”He said goodie two-shoe sentiment.” Chris let out a big grin, turning his attention to the disgruntled bug. “Maybe, but think of it this way. You get to fight opponents without goodie two-shoes looking down on you or fighting you. You pretty much get the chance to fight without having the good Pokemon after your skin.” Spinarak seemed to give the idea a thought, and then grinned. Apparently it just liked to fight, and Chris had just given him a good excuse to do so.

Turning his attention to the Pichu and the Ponyta, Chris extended his hand in friendship. “I would like you two to join us. Yes you would need to fight, but I can promise you food and fun and the chance to help others from those who wish them harm.” He gave a grin. “Also, the biggest goal is to have a huge berry farm with every conceivable berry there is. A lot of room to play and eat whenever we’re not helping.”

(Sorry, bub. You knew it couldn’t be that easy. ;P)

To be honest, you should be counting your lucky stars; to find two non-aggressive Pokemon in the same place, at the same time? However, it was pretty clear from the start that you did not want trouble, and aside from being a bit overly-playful, both the Pichu and the Ponyta seemed to be very intelligent. The Pokemon listened as you spoke, and you could see a clear-cut sign of contemplation on the long face of the Ponyta. She stomped her front hooves in the dirt, causing the Pichu to panic a little bit; curiously, the small electric mouse ran toward you, not away from you, which would seem to be a good sign.

Your Meditite was busy translating, attempting to do his best to be diplomatic in this strange new situation. He was engaged in a surprisingly high-end conversation with the Ponyta, although he would have to tell you about it later. ”Yes, I understand that it is against your instincts to allow someone to ‘claim’ you. But this is not a herd dynamic; Chris is a very nice human, and he does not ask us to do anything that we would not have to do in the wild. Battling is in our very existence; our growth and evolution as a species and sentient beings depend upon it.” Snickering softly under her breath, the Ponyta responded, having quickly gleaned the method of communication that would work best in this situation. ”Why should I allow myself to be claimed, regardless? This is a human we are speaking of, not some lowly Wrumple. They often change their mind, are notoriously vicious, and many make a habit of stuffing us into Pokeballs and letting us rot somewhere without ever allowing to see sunlight again!”

Your Meditite, pondering this heavily, began levitating and placing himself in a meditative state. The Pichu, on the other hand, seemed to be sensing the conflict taking place within the other Pokemon’s minds and was watching curiously, his ears drawn flat back to his head. He did not want to intrude, but at the same time, the food…he couldn’t resist. Scurrying over to the morsel you had offered him, it became quickly apparent that the Pichu would not have any qualms joining you. It loved food and excitement, and with Meditite as a playmate, he could fly all he wanted!”

As is so common of any breed of young, undomesticated equine, Ponyta was having no more of this rationalized conversation. It appeared that she wanted to test your mettle for herself. ”Tell your human that we will settle this with a contest of wills. If I am attacked by any means, I will make you regret it. I will not battle for any human that is not worthy of my time, either in the wild or captivity.” In a burst of heat, the Ponyta’s mane and tail erupted in flames; now looking more than ever to be a regal creature, the horse stepped past your Meditite, Spinarak and Pichu and looked you directly in your eyes. You could see the challenge there, the threat of danger and an almost wild excitement in the beasts’ eyes. This would be a more tricky sort of Pokemon capture, you thought fleetingly, before watching her turn so that she presented you with her side. She bent her front leg down in a graceful motion, lowering her neck before sending out a scathing thought to your Meditite. ”Let’s see if he can ride, then.”

Chris immediately took a step back when the Ponyta erupted in flames. This wasn’t the reaction he was expecting, hoping for a more of a ‘yes’ ‘no’ answer. However it seemed like the Ponyta had other plans, and Chris wasn’t ready to fight her. Actually the more he thought about it, the more he realized he couldn’t fight her. She obviously didn’t want to join him, as by her sudden change in attitude.

However her attitude changed again, this time with her kneeling before him in what looked to be a ride. Chris looked from the fire Pokemon to Meditite, wondering what was going on. The psychic Pokemon just let out a sigh, relaying the conversation to Chris. He finished by saying, ”She wants to test your will by riding her.”

Chris turned his attention to Ponyta, looking at the beautiful creature. He gave a slight smile, walking over to her as if he was going to take her challenge. He placed his hand on her neck, holding it there for a moment. However he didn’t mount her, he just stood there with his hand placed gently on her neck. He brushed his hand along her hairs, and spoke gently to her. “I won’t break your back just to prove I’m worthy. If you don’t want to join me, then I’ll accept that and move on. But I’m not going to hurt either of us just to win your approval.”

He turned to his Pokemon and motioned towards the route. “I think we’ve had enough fun for now. We still need to find others to help us out.” He glanced at the Pichu that was still nearby. “You’re welcome to join us if you wish. It would be fun having you around.” He pulled out an empty Pokeball from his backpack and held it out towards the Pichu. “I know that some Pokemon hate being caught in Pokeballs. However if you stay with us without a Pokeball to claim you then you’re in danger of being caught by someone who might have more sinister goals. I won’t keep you in there longer than I have to, and out here in the wild you’ll be free to stay out if you want.”

He looked at the Ponyta. “I know why you don’t trust humans. I don’t trust some of them myself. However we’re not all bad. Some of us actually have good in our hearts. I learned mine from my parents. They heal and help Pokemon, and I want to do the same. I want to help as many as I can, both human and Pokemon. If you don’t trust that, then there’s nothing else I can say to convince you.”

Pichu looked at the Pokeball, looked at you, then back at his food. Yep, the food was definitely delicious, but was it worth being captured for? I mean, he could find food anywhere; that was the beauty of the wild! But he could taste so many FLAVORS! It was like eating Dr. Pepper. Pichu looked back to you, promptly grabbed a piece of food, stuck it in his mouth, smiled, and pushed the button on your Pokeball. The orb sucked the little mouse into its empty insides and that was that.

Well, at least there was one good thing. The Ponyta was obviously not so willing to join by the mere sight of food. And why should she be? She was a freaking horse on fire; she could probably find food pretty easily. Oh yeah, and she didn't like humans, so I guess that's part of the reason. Anyway, she snorted at you indignantly and turned her head away. "Very well then. Leave if you don't want to prove anything to me," is what Meditite translated, somewhat reluctantly. It seemed that Meditite knew you would leave if Ponyta asked you to. However, something was peculiar.

It didn't really seem like Ponyta wanted you to leave. She kept shifting her eyes to you and back away quickly, almost as if to see if you were still there. Perhaps this was another test? Did you really want Ponyta to disappear, possibly never to be seen again? Or were you okay with that? If I were you, I'd suggest you approach this situation very carefully if there was any chance of you convincing Ponyta to join you.

Also, Ponyta is a horse. Unless you're a fatass, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't break her back. Jussayin' :D

Congratulations! You caught :pichu :male Level 9!

{I tried to avoid doing too much, since I know Lav has you on some sort of specially-made storyline, so forgive me if it doesn't seem like there was much that happened.}

Chris gave a slight smile when Pichu voluntarily hit the button on the Pokeball. He had a feeling that the electric Pokemon would want to join after the food, though Chris didn’t want it to seem like a bribe. He meant what he said about helping others, and hoped that would be the main reason to join. But Pichu joined, so that was good.

Glancing at the Ponyta, Chris let out a sigh as he stood up. He tossed the newly filled Pokeball in the air, calling out the electric Pokemon. “Come on out Pichu.” Pichu appeared with his ears twitching, as if trying to get used to the Pokeball. He landed on Meditite, while the Pokeball returned to Chris’s hand. Chris shrunk it down to the marble size and put it in one of the specially made notches inside his coat.

Turning to the fire Pokemon, Chris looked with sad eyes. “I don’t have anything to prove. I don’t force Pokemon to serve me unless I have to, unless it threatens other Pokemon or people. Like Spinarak.” He motioned to the bug Pokemon who just looked away in a huff. “He attacked a little girl and her Meowth in the city with his friends. I battled them with a two other trainers to make sure they wouldn’t hurt anyone else. I caught him because he seemed to be the strongest, and most likely the one that lead them to fight.”

Chris motioned to Meditite. “Meditite has been my friend since my parents brought him home after he was found weak and alone over a year ago. He’s watched me for a while, so as a friend he knows me very well.” Pointing at Wingull Chris continued. “And Wingull I challenged to an honest fight. He knew what was at stake, and was given the option to decline if he chose.”

He sighed and looked at Ponyta, brightening up and looking confident. “I won’t force any Pokemon to fight for me, and I have nothing to prove except in battle. I’m sorry if I disappointed you, but I won’t hurt you or myself just to force you to accept me.” He turned to his Pokemon and motioned for the route. “Let’s go.” Meditite stood up with Pichu still riding his back and began to follow Chris. Wingull flew over to Chris’s shoulder, and Spinarak followed closely behind.

While Chris didn’t like leaving the Ponyta like that, he knew he had to. He wasn’t going to change his mind, especially if it meant forcing the fire type to serve him. He was just going to have to find another fire type, one that he could catch without breaking his own code of conduct…

This was the classic example of a moral dilemma. You, out of what most would call a misplaced sense of honor, wanted to do your best to treat a being of an entirely different species as if it was a human. Instead of knowingly risking the strong but lightweight Ponta’s health by taking her up on her foolhardy proposition, you responded to her with compassion. She obviously had some very strong prejudice against humans that could very well be justified. To her credit, she was intelligent and well-tempered enough to listen to what you had to say, even though it took a bit of time while she got used to communicating via a telepathic translator. It was not such an unbelievable leap of logic to assume that she might be more of the intellect than a brawler, what with her quick acceptance to attempt cross-species communication.

The horse did not immediately respond, narrowing her eyes suspiciously as you began motioning to your Pokemon. Whickering softly and stamping her foot, she watched from behind long lashes as you walked away with no attempt at subterfuge or hostility. Ponyta couldn’t believe that you had at once insulted her, talked a wild Pokemon into joining your team, and seemed to have such a concrete code of ethics. She often suffered from communication issues with other Pokemon as a result of the lack of a herd, something she had been dealing with for quite some time during her short time in this world. Turning about in a slow trot, she headed off into the woods, leaves and branches rustling and hissing from the heat of her mane.

You heard the commotion that signaled the Pokemon’s departure; your Meditite was quick to pick up the intense feeling of confusion coming from the horse as it left. Being that it had been so quick to engage in conversation, it might be smart to keep an eye out for her as you continue your travels. You could never know what would happen as a result of bestial instincts mixing with the cognitive traits of intelligence, after all.

Continuing towards the route that would take him towards Nogou Village, Chris let out a sigh. The incident with the Ponyta left him emotionally drained. He shook the feeling from his mind and turned his attention to something more positive. He might be able to find another fire Pokemon that could help him reach his goals. Well one of his goals was reachable, the other was an ongoing process. He gave a slight smirk as he thought about helping people and Pokemon for the rest of his life. Maybe he should become a Pokemon Ranger or something.

Chris continued on the path that would lead him to Route 4, which was the starting route in order to reach the forest village of Nogou. If he was going to have a berry farm, he was going to need berries. And short of going out into the woods and finding them himself, it was safer to buy them from a shop. And the best shop to buy berries was in Nogou.

While he was thinking about his berry farm, Chris’s mind wandered to a Pokemon he had read that would be perfect for helping him on the farm. It was the weather Pokemon Castform, who not only could learn how to change the weather but also took advantage of it itself. If he could find the rare Pokemon then he wouldn’t need a fire type to help him, and Castform could help in teaching his Meditite some more offensive moves. But from what he read the weather Pokemon was very rare and not easy to find. Let alone catch. Still it was best if he kept his eyes out while looking for the others.

Actions: Going to Route 4. Looking for berries, fire type Pokemon, and Castform.

Route 4

Route 4 was a dirt path, with patches of grasses spread all over. It wasn’t the best of spots for pokemon to hide, so any you could see is a possible encounter. And why not look for possible fire types, as well as some pokemon to train. Maybe through training, you could find the fire pokemon you could so desire. Well, it wasn’t at all a bad day for you. Lady Luck had caught you sitting in your dreams, and blessed you with sitting her lovely figure on your lap. Whoa, buddy, don’t go into the gutter! Instead, she blessed you and your findings today could be very well what you were looking for. In fact, let’s take a look down the road of Route 4 and see what is going on.

There were a few different things going on, some including pokemon affairs, and some trainers passing through or training along the sides of the road. You were presented with the entire route winding down to Nogou Forest or the Swamp. Where to go? Who knows! The thing was that different things seemed to happen towards both kinds of places.

Towards Nogou’s Forest of Legends had been several trainers. Some looked as if they were novice at the art, and some looked like they could be friendly and some were drawing. You spotted a trainer in particular that caught your eye, but he was getting angry. You looked to the side of him and two pokemon were… well, I don’t know what you’d call it! A houndour was playfully pouncing a torkoal, and getting a piggy-back ride from the turtle-like pokemon. The pokemon seemed very friendly, and then you noticed that Houndours might not act like that normally. It just so happens to be the month of love. Ironically, the boy (the trainer was a young boy, maybe a teenager with how he looked) mentioned to a friend that they must be in love, but made a joke about it being puppy love.

Jokingly, or so it sounded, the boy looked out over Route 4 and started to scream. ”If anyone wants a pair of lovers, you can come here and get them… for a battle!” So it seems that if these two were what you were looking for, then it was certainly Lady Luck’s work wooing you into the place.

Stretching his arms as he walked, Chris couldn’t help but admire the nice weather. The sun was shining, the air was clear, and he just got a new member to his team. He smiled as he looked over at Pichu, who was riding the now slightly tired Meditite. Chris could only imagine how hard it was for the little guy to keep floating for extended periods of time, especially with a small mouse on your back. Now the psychic/fighting type was just walking, with Pichu still riding his back. Chris was holding back a chuckle when Meditite shot him a look. Best to let it alone.

Turning his attention back to the route, Chris noticed a slow increase in trainers as he walked. Most were gathered towards Nogou Forest, towards the city he was heading for. That was actually the best path to take, without having to worry about the swamp paths so he turned towards them. But before he got close he began to pull out his Pokeballs. “Alright, things are going to get a bit crowded here. I don’t want any of you to get lost or taken, so for now please stay in your Pokeballs.” Meditite and Wingull agreed, though Pichu and Spinarak were reluctant. Pichu because he was still young and not used to the Pokeball, and Spinarak because it enjoyed the freedom. But both agreed, and Chris hid the Pokeballs back in their slots inside his jacket.

That’s when he heard someone call out, and looked in the direction of the noise. A puppy and tortoise Pokemon were seemingly playing, and their trainer was calling out. From what Chris gathered, the trainer was giving the Pokemon to whoever beat him in battle. Looking out towards the other trainers Chris didn’t see anyone readily take the challenge. So he might as well. “I’ll take that challenge.”

Chris hurried over to the trainer and the two Pokemon. Looking at them, Chris lifted his wrist and checked the Pokedex on his Poketech. Houndour and Torkoal, both fire types and both pretty good. Houndour was more aggressive, and Torkoal was very defensive. Looked like both would be good additions to his team, even if he was only going to keep one on his team. The other could guard his goal. Looking at the trainer, Chris reached into his jacket and grabbed a Pokeball. “What are the rules?”

The boy looked over at you, almost in a sense that his eyes widened but didn’t really get that much bigger. His expression may suggest that he didn’t expect anyone to agree to the challenge, because of the nature of the two pokemon. Though, the two pokemon did take their attention away from each other and studied you. If the trainer was so eager to get rid of them, and you had stepped up to the plate so fast, the Houndour and Torkoal had nothing but to wonder if you’d break them up as in the means of being stricter, or allow them to enjoy their feelings of love, for whatever it may be. The three stared up at you, staring you down as you started to move around the team with you. The boy, who had his eyes fixed on you, caught a glimpse of each pokemon you carried with you.

”Who might you be fighting with?” The boy asked, before seeing the Spinarak and Pichu remain out of their pokeball. He took up two pokeballs of his own, and touched the center, making them expand to fill his palm. ”My name is Vincent, and I have to warn you that my pokemon are tough!” He tossed the two pokeballs up, releasing an Arcanine and a Sandshrew. You won’t be fighting the two “love-birds” because those are the prized pokemon for you if you win, so you’re forced to fight the other.

Chris glanced at the two Pokemon who were the ‘prizes’. He didn’t like how some trainers treated their Pokemon like prizes, but that was their choice. This gave him the chance to get not one, but two Pokemon if he fought smart. But could he win, that was the question he began to ask himself. This would be his first battle against another trainer, so he wasn’t sure how he’d do.

Chris looked down at Spinarak and Pichu by his feet, Pichu wanting to ride on the back of Spinarak and Spinarak bucking him off. He gave a smile and looked at the trainer. “Well that’s good, so are mine.” He slipped the two full Pokeballs out of his jacket and called Meditite and Wingull out. “Come on Meditite. Wingull.” Meditite appeared in his meditative state, while Wingull appeared in the air and gently flew to Chris’s shoulder. “Wingull.” “My two Pokemon will be these two.” He motioned to Wingull and Meditite, who was still in the lotus position.

Looking at Spinarak, Chris noticed that it was eager to fight. “Sorry, but these two would be better suited in this battle. You’ve got the next one.” “Spina.” It looked away in a huff, but Chris knew what he was doing. Against an Arcanine and a Sandshrew, Spinarak was the worst choice. But after training it properly, Chris had a feeling that all his Pokemon could cover their weaknesses. But right now he had to go with the Pokemon that had the best chance of winning.

He motioned to his side, indicating that Pichu and Spinarak should stay close. “You two can stay out and watch the battle. But no interfering and no getting in the way.” Spinarak gave a disgruntled nod, but Pichu jumped on Meditite hoping for a ride. That definitely shook the fighting/psychic Pokemon out of its’ meditation, and it looked back at the Pichu riding its’ back. Chris hurried over and picked Pichu off. “No Pichu, Meditite has to battle now. Afterwards you can play.”

“Pichu?” The electric Pokemon looked at Chris, then back at Meditite, and back at Chris again. It didn’t seem to quite understand, so Chris held it close to show that right now was not a good time to play. It settled into Chris’s arms, though it looked a bit restless. Chris looked at the trainer, a serious look now on his face. “Alright, how are we going to battle? One on one or a double battle?”

Vincent studied the four pokemon you displayed. Though, he soon frowned because he didn’t know who he was fighting. Although you mentioned who he would, the two that were not chosen seemed a little resistant to the ordeal. Vincent became confused, but it was broken when you asked how they would battle. Surely he could do a double battle, but then again, he’d like the idea of one on one. That is when he held his index finger up, a gesture of giving him a minute to think. Arcanine nudged his shoulder, baiting for a one on one. The cute cheeks of Sandshrew had him leaning to a double, in order to protect the mouse. Whoa, so many different things on his mind.

”I think we’ll go with a one on one!” Vincent said, siding for his first guess. His gut was strong, so he decided on viewing all of the pokemon you displayed. He could take the Pichu, but the Meditite and Wingull could be the most problematic. Whichever you decided, he’d have to cope. Finally, he lightly budged Sandshrew out with a soft palm. ”You’re up first, buddy.”

Chris gave a nod when the guy mentioned one on one. At first he thought that it would be a double battle, but one on one worked for him. It was easier for him having a classic battle, since this was his first trainer battle.

When the boy motioned for the Sandshrew to go first, Chris looked it up on his Poketech. He knew Sandshrew was a ground type, but what he didn’t know was what kind of fighter it was. Judging from the way the Sandshrew was reluctant, it didn’t look like it had much fighting experience. Probably the same amount as his Pokemon, so Chris just skimmed the first few moves.

After a quick moment Chris gave a sigh and shrugged his shoulder. “You’re up Wingull. Let’s see how we do.” “Wingull.” The seagull type Pokemon launched from Chris’s shoulder and landed on the ground, directly opposite of his opponent Sandshrew.

Chris looked at the ground type, calming his already eager heart. From what he learned from his parents and watched on TV, Sandshrew was mainly a physical fighter. Meaning it did better up close and personal like Meditite. And the moves in the Poketech confirmed it. Not only was Wingull a water type, it also specialized in long range attacks while remaining out of range of physical fighters. It was the perfect fighter against the ground type.

Looking around, Chris noticed they had decent room to move around in, but wasn’t as big as a normal battle field. Mainly with other trainers close by. He motioned to the sky as he gave his first orders. “Wingull, take to the air and keep some distance between you and Sandshrew. Start off with a Supersonic, followed by a Water Gun.” Wingull got ready to leap into the air to follow Chris’s orders.

Vincent smiled, giving commands to his own pokemon. He was using slight gestures with his hands to allow the Sandshrew to take in all that he said. Unfortunately, none of it seemed to be for blocking the Supersonic. Not even the Water Gun. It just looked like spinning of fingers and such. Whatever. Either way, the boy and his mouse pokemon watched as Wingull lifted himself in altitude. The water type then started to release the sound waves that would make Sandshrew utterly confused. Would it work? Sandshrew was hit, only after he managed to get in a quick Defense Curl. Once breaking the curled up form, the waves of sound knocked upon the mouse’s body. Unfortunately for Vincent, his pokemon had been inflicted with confusion.

”I was hoping that wouldn’t happen to Sandshrew. Poor guy.” Vincent frowned, having his hopes slightly crushed. But nonetheless, it was time to move on to the next part of the plan for Vincent and Sandshrew. That being somehow getting away from your Water Gun. So, Vincent went and repeated some strange hand gestures, and instead of doing what could have been, Sandshrew knocked himself one in the cheek. Obviously this was NOT what Vincent said, because he nearly slapped himself in the face for even trying. Wingull’s Supersonic had him strong.

Wingull was back focusing on the mouse, aiming it down and about to use Water Gun. It was then that Sandshrew looked as if he’d try more, but Vincent pleaded for him not too and he actually listened. The petit hand of his was only inches from his face. You already seem in the lead, and with the Water Gun, even further. Yes; the Water Gun washed over Sandshrew, sort of weakening the grasp of Supersonic—only slightly, of course.

”Bad for me, and not bad for you. I need to come up with a new plan—quick!” Vincent snapped his fingers, adding some exhaustion into the air around him. He really did need a new plan.
