Yea boiii i get to be the first post on your second page! Anyway lets continue... Wow that’s sad I feel sorry for the poor bird but it shouldn’t be in pain anymore. But now it was a 1 on 1 battle and by the look of level Grimer had the upper hand against your Meditite. Your Meditite understood your orders and began to focus on what her opponent was doing. That when she got the feeling that she had seen this somewhere before. Grimer was trying to use his Poison Gas attack again!! Well you Pokemon had seen what happened to its partner and wasn’t about to repeat that scenario. As Grimer released the extremely toxic gas Meditite got down low to the ground to avoid breathing in the dark purple air. Grimer had to wait to find out if her attack had worked out or not. As Meditite laid on the ground it saw the perfect opening for him to strike. With accuracy and power your Pokemon delivered a punch to Grimer that hit so hard it knocked some purple off of her. I think its correct to say that didn’t exactly tickle. Grimer was shocked at what had just happened. she would of never thought to look below her self for a Pokemon that spent most of its time floating. Well u know what they say about assuming. While Meditite was still close to the purple sludge he was hit on the head with a pound. Two thuds were heard one from Grimer smashing into your head and another from you Pokemon’s head hitting the ground. Meditite was mad and tried to strike back again but luck wasn’t exactly on his side. His fist went into Grimer dealing some damage but Grimer was clever. she wrapped her goo around your Pokemon’s arm and then used harden. This wasn’t going to be easy getting out off. Slipping an empty Pokeball out of his pocket, Chris couldn’t help but smile slightly. Meditite did what he asked, and now the poisonous Pokemon was ready to be caught. But he still had to hurry, as even though Wingull was in his Pokeball he was still poisoned. He pulled out Meditite’s Pokeball as well; ready to call back the strong fighter. “Alright Meditite, return.” Chris knew that Pokeballs were designed to turn their captured creatures into energy before drawing them into the device. That should allow Meditite to get free from Grimer’s grasp, and allow Chris freedom to catch the renegade Pokemon. He enlarged the empty Pokeball, ready to throw it as soon as Meditite was clear. |

The red beam of light shot out and engulfed Meditite, swallowing the fighting pokemon back into it's genie-like prison. Enlarging an empty pokeball you threw it hard, and threw it fast. The ball connected with the top of Grimer's sludgy head and burst opening, also engulfing the pokemon. The ball hit the ground and began to wriggle, as Grimer desperately made his last ditched attempt at freedom. The ball rolled once, twice, three time I'm sure the real answer is plain as day, but that's up to you to decide. Maybe you had a couple of potions stashed away you would use instead, maybe an Antidote as well. Anyway the surrounding areas were bleak and boring, nothing but skyscrapers and factories littering the area. The Pokemom Centre was in sight. There was also a scream, echoing from the north of the town. Wherever you decide to go, may you're adventures take you far. Congratulations, Grimer was captured. gained 3.3 (Experience is halved since pokemon was under 25% HP but not defeated) gained 3.3 ![]() grew to Level 7 with 1.5 left over gained 7.5

Slipping Meditite's Pokeball back into his jacket, Chris walked over to the one that housed the Grimer. He looked at it sad for a moment, not really wanting to fight the poison type to begin with. But it was the only way to get it to a Pokemon Center before releasing it back into the wild. He picked it up carefully, almost as if his touch alone could break it. He gave a sigh before shrinking it back to ‘storage mode’, and put it in with the other Pokeballs. He looked in the direction of the Pokemon Center, and then began his journey back. It was when he was close to the center that he heard the scream coming from the other side of the city. He cringed as he heard the sound, knowing that he was going to regret his next decision. He hurried into the center and took out the two Pokeballs containing Wingull and Grimer. He slipped in next to the trainer who was talking to Nurse Joy, feeling guilty for what he was doing. “Nurse Joy, could you please heal these two Pokemon for me? I called ahead to my mom about the Grimer, and Wingull was poisoned.” Then, without waiting for a word from the nurse, Chris rushed out of the Pokemon Center. Looking left and right along the street, Chris used the mental map in his head about where the scream originated. He grew up in this city, and knew most of the locations even people feared to go. He knew he was taking a very big risk heading off with an injured Pokemon, but Chris wasn’t about to let a scream go without checking it out. Once he felt he had a good idea where the scream originated from, Chris rushed towards the north end of the city. He felt bad about not letting Meditite get medical attention, but Chris knew that the psychic/fighting Pokemon felt the same way about the scream. They couldn’t ‘just let it go’. |

You ran across town an a moderate speed. Not fast enough to make you winded after a short distance, but not a slow enough pace that didn't show urgency. Of course you weren't alone. A few other trainers were making their way to the source of the cry. In a dark alley a few blocks away from the northern exit, a young girl sat crying, rubbing her eyes as a fainted meowth lay at her side. His fur was incredibly dirty and he was covered with fresh cuts and scratches. Not to far something, or rather somethings were crawling around in the shadows. The Meowth was most likely overpowered by numbers and now the numbers of unknown Pokemon were hiding, startled by the girl's cries. A young woman that was dressed for outdoor expeditions got to the young girl first. "Shhhh. Shhh. Its ok. We are here to help. Are you ok? What's your name? Is this your Pokemon?" The girl didn't answer at first, instead she dived head first into the other woman's lap and started to sob loudly. She pointed to a bunch of crates and shivered. "Weaklings attacking in numbers." A red haired young male appeared. His hair was medium length and worn freely. He wore a black tank top and dark bluejeans. "I don't need any of your help. I'll take them all on." The boy stood between the two girls and the mystery Pokemon as the Pokemon slowly came out of the shadows. Many Spinarak made their way towards the four of you. They weren't happy by the intrusion and were ready to fight. The woman stood up and the little girl hid behind her legs. The woman quickly picked up the Meowth and she held out a Pokeball. The red head was the first to release his Pokemon. He tossed it up to reveal a Gastly. The girl was next, she tossed out her Pokemon to reveal her Nidoran. The little blue rabbit like Pokemon stood ready to fight. Slowing down, Chris looked at the little girl and her Pokemon with a sympathetic look. He had seen many Pokemon fainted before in his family‘s work, and it never got easier. When the girl fell into the woman crying, Chris wanted to rush over to comfort her. But it seemed the woman had it well under control, and Chris didn’t want to get near her. Especially with his nervous disorder around them. Besides, she wasn’t the big problem. The big problem was the several bug Pokemon that crawled out of the shadows. Several of them in fact, as if they had disturbed a nest. Chris cursed under his breath as he saw them, feeling bad that his own Pokemon were still at the Pokemon Center. All he had with him was an injured Meditite, and he hoped he wouldn’t have to use him. But now it didn’t look like he had much choice. Turning to the little girl, Chris kneeled down so he could look in her eyes. “Listen, we’ll do our best to take care of them. Do you think you can take your Pokemon to the Pokemon Center?” Chris looked back at the Spinarak ready for battle. He wasn’t sure if they’d be able to win this fight, not with 5 against 2 and a half. If they could get the girl to the Pokemon Center before they lose, then that would be one less thing they’d have to worry about if they have to make an escape. Chris stood up and walked in front with the other two. He slipped the one Pokeball he had in his jacket out, looking at it for a moment. He didn’t want to do this, but he had no choice. He tossed it to call out his partner. “Let’s go, Meditite!” Meditite appeared before them, sitting cross legged on the ground and in a meditative state. He gave no indication that he knew what was going on, but Chris knew better. The Pokemon was already getting ready for battle. Looking at the advancing Pokemon, Chris kneeled down to Meditite so he could hear his whispers. “Alright, when the fighting starts out I want you to back the other Pokemon up. Focus your energy and help them out. Don’t try and get out on your own, I don’t want you hurt more than you are.” The psychic/fighting Pokemon just gave a slight nod as he understood, and Chris stood up to get a better look at the battle field. This wasn’t going to be easy. |

Ouch, bet you wish you'd have healed your Meditite on your visit to the pokemon centre. But you followed your curiosity and now your faced with a load of freaky spiders that could overwhelm this little team you've found yourself involved in. The red headed guy was ready to prove he was tough and ordered Gastly to use three Hypnosis's, the ghost pokemon managed to fell three of the spiders, lulling them into a deep sleep. That left the last two, the girl ordered her Nidoran to use two Tail Whips, lowering the defences of the other two. The two trainers definitely had a grasp on battling and had managed to really weaken the line of spiders. Now it was Meditites turn, dropping back he began to Meditate to stay focused and began to Bide his energy. That was it for now, it was the spiders turn to attack. With three of them asleep they were useless, but the other two prepared a solid attack. Using a Scary Face each, they lowered the speed of both Nidoran and Gastly, before turning to Meditite and firing out a Poison Sting each and a Constrict. Meditite took a lot of damage but was still standing...barely. If it unleashed Bide next round, it would deal some serious damage. That was it for the round though. Things were pretty even, your team was weakened in stats, but the Spinaraks were asleep so it's up to you who you focus on. Best of luck. Chris watched as the battle unfolded before him, very impressed by how the trainers managed to handle themselves. He had a feeling that the guy was strong primarily because of his cocky attitude, and he didn’t know about the woman until now. A slight smile played at his lips when the spider Pokemon seemed to dwindle. However that smile quickly turned into a frown when the remaining two Spinarak decided to counter attack. And they did a pretty good job of it, reducing the speed of the guy and the girl’s Pokemon and then trying to pick off the weakest member. His Meditite. Again Chris mentally cursed himself for not letting his Pokemon get the medical attention he needed, but both weren’t about to let a scream go unanswered. They chose this path, so they were going to have to walk it. “Alright Meditite, release the energy on the stronger of the two remaining. Then fall back and gather your strength.” He looked at the two who had joined in the fight. “Meditate and wait for an opening, don’t strike unless you know you have a shot. And try not to get hit.” Besides the pained look on Meditite’s face, there was no reaction that he heard Chris’s commands. But Chris knew that even when the Pokemon was meditating, it was hearing Chris’s words. Chris just hoped that the little Pokemon could keep it up a little while longer. Commands: Attack the level 10 Spinarak that’s awake. Then pull back and use Meditate. Attack only if there’s a good shot, and dodge attacks. |

Things were not looking good at all, Meditite could barely stand and yet you were going to keep on fighting...I'm not sure whether to applaud your bravery, or scold your recklessness. Anyway, Meditite had stored up energy for awhile now, and had absorbed quite a bit of damage, any more and Meditite would faint. Luckily enough time had passed and as Meditite glowed, a powerful explosion erupted, as the true force of Bide was let loose, and Meditite unleashed his power upon the strongest of the wakened Spinarak. The damage was huge and well worth the energy Meditite used to execute it. This did however leave the Spinarak angry and ready for revenge. As the attacked Spinarak fired a Constrict, Meditite jumped back, narrowly avoiding the hit, and began to Meditate, completely unprotected from future attacks. However his power began to soar. The red headed guy saw this as an opportunity and ordered Gastly to use two Licks, completely defeating Spinarak...that was one down and four to go. The red head smiled slightly, proud that his Gastly had dealt the finishing blow. The young girl noticed your Meditite looking injured and ordered her Nidoran to protect you. Nidoran took the brunt of two Constricts, but didn't attack. Instead Nidoran used two Tail Whips and one Growl, weakening the Spinarak immensely. This round was over again, and luckily the other spiders were asleep...but, one was starting to awaken.
(Sorry, sukkish table, I'm learning them still.) |

This battle was turning out worse than Chris even expected. Meditite was helping with the battle, but he was hurting as much as he was helping. He knew that, and so did Meditite. Chris could see the look of frustration on the Pokemon’s usually calm face, an indication that Meditite was about to do something reckless. In a way Chris understood the Pokemon. Meditite spent most of its’ young life battling for survival after something terrible happened to his family. The psychic Pokemon was left alone after his family was taken from him, how Chris was never told. But Meditite survived the injuries it sustained, and now worked hard to ensure he was strong enough not to get hurt again. But looking at the Pokemon now, Chris could feel the frustration that was coming from his Pokemon. Like Chris, Meditite was a thinker, a strategist that always tried to find the most effective way to battle. Like others of his kind, Meditite always meditated before a battle, to better focus his energies. But now the psychic Pokemon was starting to lose its’ focus because of his injuries, and the fighting side of him made him too stubborn to give up. If it was up to Chris they would both be back at the Pokemon Center getting the little warrior the health he needed. But it wasn’t up to Chris; it was up to both him and Meditite. And Meditite wasn’t about to give up just yet. So neither was Chris. Glancing at the sleeping Pokemon Chris noticed one of them was beginning to stir. They had a hard time dealing with two Spinarak that were awake, and now with one knocked out another was struggling to wake up. “Meditite, Meditate and then Strike that one as hard as you can and then retreat.” If they could keep the sleeping bug Pokemon from joining the fight then they may stand a chance. Chris only hoped that if Meditite wasn’t able to knock the bug Pokemon out with one hit that the guy’s Ghastly would finish the job like before. Actions: Meditating and striking the waking Spinarak, then backing off before retaliation. |

So this was one crazy battle. To be honest, I have never seen so many Spinarak before, what did you do to make them so hostile? Well, that doesn’t really matter anymore, because your Meditite was close to fainting.. As you saw one of the sleeping Spinarak began to stir, you quickly took action. Your commands were plain and simple, use Meditate to raise your attack, and then strike that Spinarak down! However, I have some bad news. You see, you know in the pokemon games when a pokemon, let’s say a Metapod, uses Haden a hundred times, and it eventually says, “Metapod’s Defense cannot be raised higher”. Well, that same little message was being said to you about Meditite’s Attack. You see, here in the Alternia Pokemon world, a pokemon’s stat can only be increased to six, which is the max. Your Meditite’s Attack was already at six; therefore it cannot be raised any higher. Just had to make sure you understood what was going on and why. So anyway, let’s get back to the battle! So, Meditite knew that it couldn’t raise his attack anymore, it’s just like an instinct all pokemon have, and so instead of using meditate, he used another Strike! Which, I guess in the end, was better then Meditate anyways. But ya, Meditite ran up to the stirring Spinarak, which just so happened to be the level eight one, and struck twice with his fists! The attacks did some really good damage due to Meditite’s raised Attack; however, it wasn’t enough to knock out the bug. This is when the girl, and her Nidoran steeped in! The girl ordered her Nidoran to run in and scratch it twice, she wanted to lower it’s defense with Tail Whip, but the Spinarak was still semi-sleeping. As Nidoran rushed in and scratched her foe, the only other Spinarak that was awake, made its move. The Spinarak used Constrict twice on the girls Nidoran, causing a bit of damage, and lowering the pokemon’s speed. Also with being attacked, Nidoran wasn’t able to successfully get in her other Scratch. I guess it was all up to the red haired boy, and his Gastly now. As soon as the girl’s turn was over, the red haired boy began. He quickly ordered Gastly to use two Lick attacks. The ghost type pokemon quickly rushed in and licked the sleeping pokemon, however after the second lick the Spinarak woke up! The pokemon was barely hanging in there, not only was he about to faint, but it appeared that Gastly’s second Lick attack, paralyzed the bug! Well that was awesome; it was still kind of like fighting one of the little buggers! But wait; did I just see that one move? Yep, I did, you better hurry up now, another one is on the verge of waking up! Things were starting to get really complicated, at least in Chris’s mind. They had barely managed to weaken on Pokemon, only to have another wake up and almost raring to go. Things were getting more and more desperate, as Chris knew that a single hit could put Meditite out for the rest of the battle. They had to act fast, though Chris wasn’t sure what to do. Then it hit him. Turning to the boy and girl, Chris pointed at the paralyzed bug Pokemon. “Have Ghastly take that one out, and have Nidoran back up Meditite.” He then turned to his own Pokemon and pointed at the Spinarak that attacked Nidoran. “Strike that one as hard and as fast as you can Meditite, and then jump back to avoid getting hit.” If Chris’s memory was correct, then that Spinarak was weaker than the others over the course of the battle. If they could get two clean hits off it then that would be one more down, and if Ghastly got the paralyzed Pokemon then that would even the playing field. With Ghastly and Nidoran slowed because of the sticky String Shot they had to end this fight quickly. Chris slipped an empty Pokeball out of his backpack and waited to see what happened. If they only managed to really weaken the non-paralyzed Pokemon, then Chris would have to remove it from the battle by catching it. ---- Actions: Asked that Ghastly takes out the paralyzed Spinarak and Nidoran back Meditite. Ordered Meditite to Strike the first Spinarak, and readied a Pokeball to catch said Spinarak if it is still standing after the Strike. |

The boy and girl looked at you for a second before nodding and turned to their Pokémon. The girl ordered her Nidoran to follow your lead and attack the same Spinarak that your Meditite did using Strike and then Scratch. The boy ordered his Gastly to use three Lick Attacks on the paralyzed Spinarak. With orders set in lets move on to the main event. We’ll start with Gastly who floated over towards the Paralyzed Spinarak. Spinarak, seeing the Gastly coming his way, tried to move back to get some distance between itself and the ghost type but found its paralyzed self unable to move. It all became that much worse when Gastly got in nice and close and pretty much smacked the Spinarak with its tongue taking advantage of the paralysis and scoring a critical hit. Spinarak was now rather hurting and more then a little tired but found the will to move and unleashed a poison sting attack that did very little damage and fortunately Gastly can’t be poisoned so there is that. Gastly hovered for a second before licking a second time scoring another critical hit and causing the Spinarak to faint. Now on to your Meditite and the Nidoran. They both charged at the Spinarak you had designated, Meditite coming in from the side and Nidoran coming in from the front. Spinarak, unsure of what to do countered with a hasty Poison Sting but missing the Nidoran. This was bad for it as Meditite came in from the side and used strike on it. This strike, while a not exactly a critical, still hurt rather bad as Meditite swung low and hit the Spinarak in the stomach and launched it into the air. Nidoran saw her opportunity against the Spinarak and jumped as high as she could into the air. She reared her front legs back just as the Spinarak reached the total height of 3 feet. Time seemed to slow down for the Nidoran and the Spinarak as Nidoran threw her weight forward and slammed the Spinarak directly in the center of its back slowing all momentum and sending it crashing back into the ground. Nidoran landed a second later and was all over that Spinarak using a Scratch attack and scoring a rather harsh hit on said Spinarak drawing a line down the center of its back which started to bleed and was quite obviously fainted. Since it fainted you put the pokeball away, not wanting to really catch a Spinarak. You turned your attention to the other, supposedly asleep, Spinarak only to find something a little more startling. The ones that where asleep, it would seem that their INSOMNIA ABILITY, which for some reason had taken a few moments to kick in, had finally woke them up and they looked rather annoyed at what they saw. You had better hurry and beat them before they show you a thing or two eh? Looking out at the ‘battle field’ before them, Chris couldn’t help but feel proud of his Pokemon. Even though it was injured, Meditite seemed to be fighting with the best of them against the Spinarak. Now there were only two left, but the last two seemed the strongest. He glanced at the other boy that was fighting with them, then nodded to the two bug Pokemon ‘waking up’. “Have Ghastly distract the stronger of the Spinarak. We’ll work on the weaker one.” Turning his attention to the girl with a glance, Chris motioned towards the slightly weaker Spinarak. “Have Nidoran follow Meditite quickly from behind and provide back up attack.” He was tempted to tell the girl what to use against the bug Pokemon, but he knew that would just get him in trouble. He was going to have to trust her and her Pokemon, just like they trusted him and Meditite. Finally looking at Meditite, Chris couldn’t help but smile. The little guy was really fighting hard, and the psychic Pokemon knew it. It felt Chris’s approval from there, and he straightened up proudly. “Alright, down to the last two Meditite. Charge the weaker one, but keep an eye on the stronger. It might be faster than it looks. Strike hard and fast, then get out of the way to make room for Nidoran.” Meditite nodded, and then charged forward with in intent look in his eyes. Chris kept the empty Pokeball in his hand, watching the battle carefully. If they couldn’t knock out the weaker Pokemon with this move, then Chris would remove it by force. Actions: Asked for Ghastly to distract the level 11 Spinarak. Asked for Nidoran to provide combat backup for Meditite. Commanded Meditite to strike quickly and then get out of the way. Finally, will use a Pokeball ONLY if the level 9 Spinarak isn’t knocked out by Meditite and/or Nidoran. |

The last time I saw this many motionless spiders is when I opened a cabinet in the shed in my backyard, the triple threat on the good side is doing a good job, that's for sure. But still, both Spinarak still very eager to beat this trio, had activated their insomnia ability ánd were still pretty pissed. Still, their emotions weren't taken in account at all, as proven with the other 3 Spinarak on the arachnid team. Now Chris saw how exited his Meditite had become, even if it was shaking on his feet a little bit. And told the red-haired guy his instructions. The two spinarak braced themselves, lifting up their backsides in a threatening fashion. The somewhat slowed Gastly undertook action from the order heard from chris, channeled to him through his own trainer. So now it was floating towards the strongest spider, until it close up to him. The Spinarak was given a mean stare up to the pokemon, not sure what to expect. Then the ghost just opened his mouth and eyes wide all of a sudden, and let out a huge "Gaaaas!" in order to scare the spinarak. Well this worked to a certain extent since it wasn't blown of his feel but it did lower his backside a bit and was a bit startled, but still it fired off 2 poison sting attacks in return. Because it had just woken up, it couldn't have seen that this attack was virtually useless against his opponent. The Gastly was now ordered to do a lick attack on the spider, and so it did. His long tongue covered the Spinarak's face in spectral saliva. Now aside from being a hurt a little, it was freaked out too. Ew, disgusting. and to be more annoying, lick only has a 30% chance of paralyzing, which is about 1 to 3 chance. But it still worked. the spider found itself being unable to move as well as before. What a frustration this Pokemon would have to feel right now, right? Now the other, slightly weaker one did notice the things happening to his partner, but he had some other Pokemon coming his way, Meditite charged at the spider, and the Spinarak reacted with readying a poison sting attack. this had been the end if the trainer of Nidoran hadn't issued an order for a growl attack, hard and loud. This made the spider swallow it's stings again. Then Meditite appeared in front of him, and bashed on his head, just next to the horn, hurting him pretty much. Still it did a little less damage, as Meditite was in the line of fire of the Growl, and was also affected. But nothing to worry about, great damage was dealt. As meditite cleared the way, the Spinarak was shaking it's head only to see a Nidoran before his eyes, with a sharp front leg raised in the air. It left an impressive mark on his face, not quite bleeding but it scraped along the surface of his skin quite thorough. Now all attacks were dealt and new orders could be given. Now both Spinarak were enraged by the events that happened right now. Now the only questions are; how long will this battle take, and is that lv 9 Spinarak weak enough to catch. It's your choice, either way.
