Shimo City's Pokemon Center The people rushed to close the doors, but the one that Kooji came in was off limits. No one dared go near it. One lady got the courage to try and sneak around it. However, the Kooji was uninterested with you or your pokemon, turning it's attention to the lady, striking her for a fatal blow. Blood splashed along the wall and the room filled with screams. At least the lights are on, barely, as they flashed a little more. The snow had been trolling them more then the pokemon. The people, hiding in corners, were fearing for their lives. But you stepped up for one more battle. Munna moved forward, launching the first of two Psywaves. It wasn't very strong, barely making the Kooji react. Making sure you knew it knew you were there, the Kooji turned towards Munna and fired off a blast of sound. A sonic boom. To retaliate, the Munna used her second Psywave. It was slightly stronger then the first, but still nothing that excited the menacing type. The machine moved to ignore Kooji, watching Mortpoi. The ghastly looking fish seemed to move it's tail from back and forth, whipping to decrease the stats of the machine. With a swift gust, the Mortpoi used all of it's attacks. But the flying type move did nothing, as it didn't budge the Kooji that much. Maybe a step taken back, the Kooji retaliated much like it did with Munna; a Sonic Boom to hit the fish. Nothing seemed to be taking this pokemon down!

I growled down at the Kooji... or maybe the Munna... Or maybe the dead woman. It was hard to tell. After a moment, I glanced sideways at the nurse and rolled my eyes, pulling out another pokeball and dropping it to the floor. It was a familiar form that landed on the floor at my feet, before I retrieved the ball, petting the pokemon in tandem. "Alright, then... Graham, I need you to just drop a rapid-fire Tail Whip on the beast, if you would." I glanced between the other two. "Morty, I'll have a Confuse Ray, and a good Astonish on that beast." I sighed, patting Morty's side, softly. "Do your best, so we can get this over with." I glanced at the Munna, unsure whether I thought the little pink thing useful or ridiculous. It took a long moment, before I'd decide how to word my commands, though. "Jam, let's give another go at Gyroball... Try... Gyrating... Something... While you spin..." I muttered. "Do pink elephants have something they can gyrate? Your nose, maybe?" I wasn't asking anyone particular, but I did glance at the nurse, perhaps expecting her to have an answer. "Am I even doing this right?" The last of this was muttered only just loud enough to be audible, not meant to be heard, but poorly hidden. "But... Try to keep your eyes on the tube of whatever to keep from getting dizzy." Another topic I knew little about. There was little need to keep from getting dizzy when not spinning, and I'd never had to do much of it. |

Shimo City's Pokemon Center Another pokemon, another theat, another factor to ignore. The Kooji seemed to be intent on fighting, shrugging off on how a Zigzagoon entered the area of sight. For him, he felt confident that his steel type defense would keep him going, becoming sort of tanky, as if he knew video games. Off to an okay start, the battle went to the water and steel type's advantage fairly quick. The Zigzagoon played a support role, one that the creature didn't appreciate. A Tail Whip, shoving a defensive stat down the drain, and Kooji could be hit harder. Now it was the undead looking fish. He seemed to be the one that would push Kooji is anyone was to do it. With the first of his moves, Confuse Ray, a bright light left his body and went for the hybrid type. As the light approached Kooji, to him it seemed more then just an orb. With glass, heat seemed to magnify. With glass and water, light seems to bend or become stronger. Thus, the Kooji was hit hard in the eyes; there was no way for him NOT to be confused. Dazed and confused, the Astonish was a successful and quick. But it still seemd to not be overwhelmingly powerful. The nurse seemed to shrug, but nod her head enough to show that it might be the idea you had dealing with Munna. The problem was the trunk of the Munna was small, and the body was too. The speed stat was at normal, but still quicker then Kooji. So the damage would be relatively weak. Munna tried spinning, getting a small grip on it with the last lesson. The metallic properties weren't really there all the way, if any at all (unlikely). Munna's version of the Gyro Ball was a petty and mere pebble of energy--versus what it should be. In fact, it was so weak the Kooji looked over with a true confused face, disregarding his status condition. Now it was his turn. The Kooji was angry, and he was trying to battle with his confused and dazed mind. At first, it seemed to hit itself in the confusion. The second try would land one of the greatest blows that he can deal; a critical of Sonic Boom to the Munna knocked it out, dealing a massive amount of damage with it's ability. Better luck in the next round.

(The phrase 'Rapid Fire' means more than one, love. ^-^) I humphed softly, as I watched the proceeds, and sighed, as the Munna drifted to the ground. "... Why am I NOT surprised...?" I muttered, letting the ball settle into the caddy again, so the Munna could be lined up for a heal. "Alright, Graham, let's go again! How about more than one... We'll go with Growls, this time..." I grinned, confident despite the pitfalls of useless pokemon. "Morty, why don't you whip up a couple of gusts, hmm?" Despite the setbacks, I still had faith... Graham hadn't fallen. Graham always managed to pull through, even if she ended up quiet and limp once in a while, I knew she'd help things not suck. While I had the time, I considered my other pokemon, and sighed at the thus-far unuseful Sandshrew, and how unuseful he'd be here, as well. After all, water washed away sand, right? And Jem's ability was just... What was with that, anyways? Seriously? What use was waiting until after your opponent for a pokemon without Bide as a primary move? All I could really see that doing for a non-ghost is get them killed... And I imagined that it would eventually make Jem... Re-dead? |

Shimo City's Pokemon Center Nothing against your Munna, but she definitely didn't seem ready for battles. The Nurse seemed to frown seeing how quickly she went down, and with the power fading, it was only a matter of time before she couldn't be healed. At this point.. Was there a point in getting the Munna fixed up so quickly? Nothing seemed to be going good for her. An extended break might do her some good. The crowd seemed to be watching the Kooji through the dimming lights. It was one of the more formidable foes, due to the typing. Some worried and mumbled doubts. You had a lot of people's lives staying on your shoulder. Munna couldn't do anything bad to Kooji, so it was time for Mortpoi and Graham to take over. The pair had been slightly more familiar together, and Graham moved in to use her moves, wanting to protect both of them. Her growls seemed threatening to a Wurmple, or maybe another Zigzagoon, but they were nothing to Kooji. The only thing they managed to do was the drop in stat value, which at this point, is all you wanted. It was a swift retaliation, but the Kooji moved like a water spider, quick on land (and probably water if there was some) using a Scratch that seemed devastating to the 'coon. It nearly cut her health in half, and shit, it might've really done so if the 'coon hadn't produced those growls. Mortpoi seemed a little ticked. Who wouldn't be? The pokemon was a problem, causing trouble, and hurting everyone around. A lengthy Gust of two mixed seemed to swirl the Kooji back, almost knocking it into the wall for extra effects, but the spider-like legs reached up and stopped it. The wind was gone, and the Kooji may have been hurt, but it was able to live. An abrupt sound seemed to make the Mortpoi squirm. A Sonic Boom.

Another idea came to mind, as my mind flitted over a fact I'd looked over, already, and discarded. "Sandshrew will be powerless to stop it..." I grinned, looking at the pokeball and dropping the little sandrat into the center's floor again. ~That means one of two things... It will either instinctively retalliate against the pup... Or completely ignore him.~ The grin on my lips grew wider as the little rat looked through the fading light at the aquatic spider, yelped, and bolted behind my ankles. I rolled my eyes. "Nerves of steel, right, runt?" I growled. "Get your scaly hide in there and be useful, beach-rat!" I harumphed, raising one foot to push him ahead of my by his tail end, sneering as I felt his quivers crawling up my ankles. ~A distraction keeps the attacks off Graham and Morty, a lack of attention makes him a secret weapon.~ "Two leers and a scratch, runt... Now." I looked up to the other two, the grin plastered and irremovable. "Graham, gimme two Tail Whips and a good, strong Tackle! Morty, gimme a Gust and an Astonish! On the double, you three!" I didn't care what my 'fanbase' had to say. They were busy being useless all on their own or this might not be a problem, anymore. I really couldn't imagine none of them had their own pokemon, but I could see them not wanting their own hurt in the fray, even if it meant their lives. Granted, a number of them, I suspected would have called out their own defenses when the bloodspray had erupted from the back room, if they'd had it... if this wasn't all some bloody mess of a dream. I didn't doubt that either, but... Better to at least enjoy the moment, if it was. |

Shimo City~ Pokemon Center Sorry girl, but you can close and open your eyes a thousand times, and all of this stuff would still be here. You'd still be fighting a Kooji from a crazed grieving husband, with your Zigzagoon, Sandshrew, and Mortpoi. Your "fanbase" would still be looking at you with a mixture of fear and admiration. And there would still be gallons of blood splattered on the walls and windows and floor, the remnants of many unfortunate souls. Anyway! Graham and Sandshrew started laying on the defense debuffs. Kooji tried to offset part of it with a Harden, but your two Pokemon were reducing his Defense way too fast. Morty whipped up a Gust of wind that slammed into Kooji's shell, cracking it. Water (or whatever the hell was in that tank) started to ooze out from the opening. Enraged, Kooji shot Bubbles at your party. Sandshrew took the worst of it, but none fainted luckily. Shaking it off, Sandshrew Scratched at the Kooji and did barely any damage. But the thing was losing health fast. The Kooji's owner pulled out a pocket-knife and started twirling it around his finger. Gasps and screams rose from the spectators, fearing that they were the next targets of the man's wrath. Meanwhile, Graham rushed at the Kooji and Tackled it as hard as she could. Like in a movie, Kooji fell backward as if in slow-motion. The husband howled into the air and dropped onto his knees. Looking at you one last time, he stopped twirling the pocket-knife right in front of his heart. Before anyone could scream or protest, he slipped the knife in between his ribs and right into his heart. He looked down at the knife, wondering what was next. Then he grabbed the handle and ripped upward. You heard a rib crack as blood gushed from the wound. He fell to the ground, coughing and puking up blood. The people around you were mortified as the man lay bleeding out from his own self-inflicted wound. It was a good five minutes before the gasping of the man's body subsided and his convulsions stopped. The Nurse Joy looked at you. Around the Center, you saw four women, two young boys, and two young girls, excluding you and the Nurse. No men had survived the onslaught. Nurse Joy gestured you over to have your Pokemon healed. Everyone was dead silent, so silent that you heard the dings and whirs of the healing machine healing your Pokemon. Nurse Joy gave you your Pokemon back and smiled weakly. "Tha-" was all she got out before a loud slam erupted from the back of the Pokemon Center. The sides of the Pokemon Center were being attacked too. Everyone that was on the floor previously was now running like hell around the Center. You were being assaulted from all sides except one: the front door. If you stayed inside, you might be safe. Then again, you could also be surrounded if and when the monsters broke through the walls. If you managed to get outside without attracting too much attention, you might survive long enough to get away. Up to you though. gained 5 and leveled up to Level 7, with 3.6/7 left over! learned Yawn! gained 7.5 and leveled up to Level 9, with 4/9 left over! learned Headbutt! gained 8.6 and leveled up to Level 8, with 5.2/8 left over!:mortpoi gained 6 and now has 8.2/13 !
