I jerked around when the cops' light found the bats and my back, turning back in time to watch the pokeballs miss their marks and the bats make their escape out above the snow-topped trees. "God-fugging dammit..." I snarled, scooping up Graham and calling Jem and the Mortpoi back to their pokeballs, the coon settling up on my shoulder. "I'll be going Nowhere with you idiots. You made me lose my catch. I'm cold, I'm wet, and I'm tired of that shit today, I've been to the hospital once, I don't need to go back." I harumphed, pulling the blanket close around us and storming off through the snow towards the center. "You'll find me where you find any post-battle trainer." I grumbled back at them, reaching up to scratch Graham's chin under the blanket. No self-respecting lifelong vagabond without a valid ID ever did what the cops 'strongly suggested'... Much less what they were told to do.

I looked over my shoulder briefly, curling my nose. "There's a mess they left behind that you three bumblers should take care of..." I flicked my hand towards the corpse and his finger that Graham had found, now half-buried in the snow. I didn't know the guy, had no attatchments to the corpse, and was cold. All I did was beat the shit out of the bats, and those damned cops... All the cops ever seemed to do for us was get in the way, why should I help them?

Particularly since they had just repeated actions I was so used to: Getting in the way, cancelling out a good thing, destroying my shot at the three airborne troublemakers that MY pokemon had found and retrieved, after all that hard work, and I had been SO close. I could only groan at the opportunity lost, smacking my forehead with my palm as I headed for the Center to have my pokemon, who needed it so badly, looked after properly, by trained Pokemon nurses.

In My Little White Room Again
Shimo City
[Wandering Around]

The officer who had originally stumbled upon you was taken aback by your aggressive nature; he holstered his gun and raised his hands to you, palm side up, as if he was trying to calm you down. He couldn’t think of anything to say though, his lips mumbled as if they were trying to speak words except no sound came out of them. Perhaps he was just a newbie officer that hadn’t had his view of dismembered corpses? Well, that was what it seemed like when another of the three officers came to his side and began to shine his light across the gore that covered the ground behind where you stood. The original officer looked away immediately, trying to protect his mind from the blood trickling down the snow and the pile of ravenous flesh that was just strewn about in the rest of the gore. Chunks of skin, clumps of hair, random pieces of meat that were torn from the bones of the victim and just slopped down to the ground to form a pile of goo; it was disgusting. As you walked away from the scene with Graham in your arms, you could finally smell the stench of the decay creep up behind you and tickle your nose. It was like an awful mixture of the musty smell of blood and the pure gastrointestinal stench that coming from the flayed stomach of the hunk of meat that was once a person.

A light quickly picked up from the ground and was lit right in your face from a different angle than the two cops you had met before; it had come from the third cop who was still standing within the darkness of that awful night. You covered your face with your hand, trying to block out the light, when a voice came from the other side of the bright whiteness: “You two idiots. Whoever that was they’re dead now; nothing more than a hunk of meat. Now tell me why the two of you haven’t apprehended this women to escort her back to the Pokemon Center.” The light left your face and slipped down to your feet, allowing you to see the man who was talking about you. He was another officer, the third of the three, and he had a stern jaw and dark eyes. A puff of air danced out from between his lips and into the cold air, dancing around until it faded into the whiteness of that cold and snowy day just like everything else seemed to be doing. Now the two other officers, both who jumped at the sound of the thirds voice, turned around away from the corpse and was now looking at him.

The dark eyed man shook his head and pointed to the hand that was visible through the gore and he said to one of them: “You know the drill; bag it and tag it.” The officer nodded and quickly ran off towards the hand, picking it up with a glove and storing it in a plastic bag for now. He then returned to his partner who now stood at the south end of you, while the more serious officer stood north of you. “You’re cold, you’re wet, you’re tired, and you’ve had a shit day.” repeated the officer in a mocking voice, “Girl your day has looked like Christmas when compared against the shit that has been going on for us.” He was most certainly not in a good mood and he wasn’t going to play around. “Now,” he said, taking in a deep breath to try and calm his nerves, “me and my mine are going to escort you to the safety the nearby Pokemon Center. We have a bunch of people holding up there.” Just then he stepped forwards and grabbed your wrist. “And we are all going together, like it or not.” he growled before yanking you away heading towards the center.

The four of you soon arrived out front of the Pokemon Center. Right out front of the doors you could see people moving behind them, tying to push barriers out of the way so that you could all get it. The officer that had been rough with you released your hand the moment the doors slid open and he nodded for you to go in. They followed in one after the other until everyone was in, that was when the officer with a stick up his ass turned towards the door and barked at everyone to seal it up again. He then turned to one of the other officers and pointed to him and then towards the door before calling over to him: “You stand watch.” The officer did as he was told immediately and stood by the barricaded front door, his eyes nervously shifting back and forth. A pair of footsteps echoed against the tile behind you, causing you to turn your head and see the officer that was not too happy with you. ”Make yourself comfortable.” he snapped at you before moving away towards the other people that were crowded in the center. If you were to then look to your left, you could see the nurse waving you over. She could heal up your Pokemon and she could probably answer your questions about just what the hell was going on here.

I growled at the cop. "I'm not tired... I'm tired of being Cold and Wet." I kept further commentary to myself, however, another low growl erupting from me as his wrist wrapped around my own.

It was with eagerness that I finally tore my wrist from his... Even if he'd released it before I'd done any yanking, setting to rub the offended joint and approach the counter, glaring back at the cop. "What's with Professor Pinsir-up-his-ass?" I grumbled, settling my pokeballs in the little caddy for them and snuggling Graham before recalling her and adding her ball to the little tray, handing them to the nurse. I was quiet for a long moment, pulling the blanket close after she'd taken the tray of pokemon capsules. "Don't suppose it has anything to do with the Zubats eating people?"

I hopped up on the counter to sit and wait for the pokemon to finish their examination. While there, I watched the other people in the center, eager to tell the cop to buzz off, and more eager to get out of this place the longer I had to spend near him. Something about cops had never really sat right with me. Could have been their claim to aim at helping the people and never having done anything good for me. I was 'people', too, after all... Wasn't I?

Shimo City...
...Wandering Around

The Nurse frowned, seeing that you had little knowledge to what was really going on. The Pokemon Center was surrounded in a mist, and that is what brought all of their trouble. As she looked at you, her gaze shifted to the cop, to the crowd of people, and then to the windows where the mist seemed like such a dense fog. You could barely see a thing, and hoped not to be spooked by something. The zubat was something only a few witnessed and were worried about. Before long, the Nurse handed your pokemon back. Her long silence came to an end with a sad sigh, before she spoke.

"You have no clue, do you?" Her tone seemed filled with depression, an everlasting sadness. Far from the usual, cheerful Nurse. Her pink hair had been a mess, and her eyes sagged with a lack of sleep. "The mist came and within it pokemon came. At first, no one suspected anything. It's Shimo, the snow usually makes it hard to see. But this had evil pokemon. The Zubat were the only mass. The others were in little numbers to their species." She stopped, laying her head on the counter and nearly passing out. It felt like she wasn't finished with the story, but there wasn't much else she'd tell you.

Across the room their had been a cop, or Ranger, next to the door. By his body language, you could tell his anxiety of getting out of the Center and living life day by day grew. Staying together like a herd of people made him feel weird, and his urge to open the door could bring about an end to a few things. What happened next was only the gruesome start.

"I've had it. I'm going out; at least for a peek." The man at the door opened it, enough to stick his head out. Many people gasped in fear and surprise. As he stepped further, his body quickly disappeared. But how he disappeared sent people yelling. From the glance you may have gotten, there were tentacles involved. A shadowy silhouette from outside moved to your right with good speed. In an abrupt moment, the windows were painted red.

"Holy shit!" A young boy yelled, running to the back room. Before long, he yelled out. The yell soon became a gurgled noise. As if he was cut off. That was what exactly happened. His throat had apparently become two, as his body fell loosely at the doorway. A Sneasel and Weavile leaped in, staring you, their next target.

(Very nice movie reference. ^-^)

I stared at the Nurse for a moment, before letting my eyes wander over to the idiot testing theories bound for failure and destruction.

With plenty of new things to occupy my mind, now, from the new reason to fear Octillery all the way to the icy glares aimed my way, I hadn't any more time to think about the dumb officer, or the asshole that'd brought me into this: I'd been fine before the officers came around in the first place...

I dropped my palm flat on all the buttons for the pokeballs to call out their denizens, lightly smacking the Nurse's hair, if she still slept, to wake her up. "'Nother problem, guys. Let's get rid of it and get out of here..."

Graham scampered up my shoulder and hissed at the blue creatures, and I set her on the floor, with the other pokemon. "You're part of the ragtag, too, don't expect special treatment..." I grumbled, though she was still getting it in the handling. "Everybody keep on your toes, these buggers're fast..." Even a street urchin knows the speed inherent in small, lithe little creatures, and hears the stories of the sneasel and weavile master thieves.

"Graham, I want you to split a tail whip between both of them." I glanced at the pink thing floating nearby, vaguely remembering something about type differences and areas of uselessness against dark types in the pokedex entry. "... Jam... Er... Go... Close the doors, if nobody else has. And use Lucky Chant, before you go."

Despite the lacking helpfulness involved, it was amusing at just how useless my team was, yet. "Jem, Use a double-shot of leer, when you get around to it."

The ghost hissed at me, after Graham translated. "You're getting awfully bossy, you ungrateful wretch..."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll feed you later..." I grumbled, tugging the blanket tighter around my shoulders. My eyes turned to the ghost-fish and I stifled another shudder. "You... Use Tail Whip, then turn around and turn it into a strike."

The fish's lacking expression was almost as creepy as the Sableye's constant one, and I looked away, finding the retreating sandshrew cub to take my mind off it, and doing a little more research on my poketch. "You're... Just a little useless at the moment." I muttered, humphing as I settled my mind on something. "Let's try and improve your move pool. If nothing else, might make you worth something." I rolled my eyes and did a quick search on the Poketch for a visual of the move I'd decided I wanted to teach the Sandshrew, watching it, for it's duration. "Okay, you... You're going to learn a move called X-Scissor. It's a bug-type attack, but it's listed under the Sandshrew entry, so I guess that means you can use it."

I deactivated the features I'd brought to life on my poketch and leaned on the counter. "There's probably several ways it can be used, so we'll just try a few until we find one your short arms are comfortable with..." The sandshrew, already on edge from previous experiences, and the fact that there were two ice types on the other end of the battle field, looked at his arms as though he were just noticing them, then up at one of the center's pokemon.

"Are... Are my arms really short?"

I snapped my fingers just short of his face to get his attention, a tactic that worked, apparently. "Pay attention. The faster you learn things, the better off you'll be in the future." I hummed for a moment. "Here, I'll do what I saw in the video, and then you copy me. Put as much speed into it as possible." My fingers took to a hooked appearance, looking unusually menacing. "Make sure your claws are out and ready, this move is kind of based on them, I think. Then, bring your arms down, like this, on your opponents." I hung my arms just over my shoulders and stretched them out, then brought them together in front of me to pass one another when it felt comfortable. "You got it? Let's try that."

Shimo City's Pokemon Center

Everything going on didn't seem to really spark with you. Your reaction seemed calm, and in a way menacing as to how subtle you really were to a guy being kidnapped and killed, and then another person getting their throat slit. Was it something normal to you? A few people noticed and gave you stern looks. It was as if they couldn't tell whether or not you were with these Sneasel and Weavile or not. Hell, you might be able to catch these if you're lucky. But that wasn't the point. Starting things off, Munna used a Lucky Chant. It didn't really effect the Sneasel, so they just looked at it weirdly. After it used Lucky Chant, the Munna hovered towards the door to make sure it was closed tightly.

On to the battle. As the Sneasel and Weavile were fixed on Munna using Lucky Chant and then hovering away, it seemed that their daze was easy to shift to Zigzagoon who had been wagging her tail, seducing their eyes and lowering their stats. While in the mood, Jem also performed a stat dropping move that caught the sinister pair's eyes. Leer. And yet again their defense dropped. But with Jem, what I mean is that he used it after the Sneasel and Weavile attacked (its just here to go in order with your pokemon Damn, I'm sneaky). With Mortpoi, he didn't know which to perform Tail Whip on. In his opinion, maybe the Weavile was better to do this round for. Its tail seduced Weavile for the moment, but the Sneasel soon broke the subtle feeling in the air. It made a speedy attack on Zigzagoon. Connecting with a Quick Attack! And then it was about to attack again. Before it could, a Strike from Mortpoi paused it.

Weavile and Sneasel both performed a move next. The Sneasel hit the Zigzagoon once more. While Weavile went after Zigzagoon with a double Assurance attack! The entire round was just overwhelming to the raccoon, so it fainted quickly. What would you do next? Better lay down the offensive game next!

Now for the tutoring... Sandshrew was watching you and giving you a strange and confused look. He started to practice the formation you were doing. He seemed to have got it pat down after five straight minutes of going over it. He was far from learning X-Scissor. He needed Bug energy and how the hell would he get that!?

I looked up from my work with the sandshrew, as I heard Graham slump to the floor. "GRAHAM!" It was almost a squeak, as I hurried over to pick up the pokemon gingerly, codding the unconscious form as I made my way back to the desk and, in effect, the sandshrew. "Nurse!" I hissed. "Sleep when shit's not exploding in your clinic..." I snarled, recalling graham and pushing her ball into the Nurse's hands. "Do your damned job, since the cops won't."
4
"Jem! Focus your attack and go after the Weavile with the strongest scratch you can muster!" I growled out. I turned to the, effectively, zombiefish. This... Fragile beast needed a name. He'd get it later. "Oy. Use Bellyflop on the Weavile, Twice, if you can manage it. Watch the claws, while you're at it."

I let my mind wander again: Jam and the Sandshrew now. "Jam! Get back over here when you're done!" I barked, turning to the sandshrew, since there would be some time before she would make it over. "... Well, shit..." I grumbled, trying to think how to work on that some more, before shrugging. "Well... Alright, then... How about when we're not trying to avoid being slaughtered fro that one..." I muttered. "For now, we'll switch to learning something a little simpler. This move's called Fury Swipes... You'd learn it a little later, I think, if I wasn't bent on making you useful for the time you spend with me..." I muttered, not taking into account that the foes so far had had a noted advantage over the little sand-rat. "Alright, remember what I told you with your claws? Angled and sharp, right? Use them just like the X-scissor, but alternate the blows, instead of both at once. The more blows you get in with this move, the better. The individual attacks aren't very powerful, but they add up quickly." I pointed towards the battle, primarily at the sneasel. "Try to avoid being hit if at all possible."

With the sandshrew toddling off unsurely to try out the vague description continued from the previous attack, I turned my attention to the pink elephant parading my way. (/disneypun) "Jam... We're going to try to learn something new... Make you a bit more multi-faceted than you are." I hummed softly. "I saw in your move list something called Gyroball... The videos I've seen on the poketch... They just look like the pokemon spinning around, but the dex feature says there's some steel element involved..." I glanced at the sneasel and weavile. "So... I want to try to teach you that one." I let my mind wander over the movies I had seen not that long ago and tried to imagine this little orbule of a tapir pulling off something like that. "Let's... Try the basic motions of it, first. Just... Spin really fast, towards the enemies, over there. I don't care which one, they both need to come down." I didn't bother warning her to watch for the claws: When spinning around really fast, it's damned near impossible to watch for walls and furniture, let alone claws moving at high speeds. "Not sure how we're going to get the steel element involved... Just... Think 'Metal', I guess?"

Shimo City's Pokemon Center

With some stressful things going on, the Nurse woke up after you yelling. She gave you a very dirty look, but nonetheless grabbed the pokeball and tried to put it through the machine. Her sleepiness had caused her to become a little slow, and maybe it got to you too. No offense. The Sneasel and Weavile had cut the power before coming in, making it easier to be unnoticed. The only reason why they could be seen by you and your pokemon had been the glow of the white snow outside. The moonlight still had enough power to shine in and give way to their whereabouts. While all of that seemed dandy, the moonlight soon started to fade. It would be harder for your team to land attacks, or have attacks landed on them.

Starting this round of the battle off seemed to be anybody's game. More importantly, you getting it first could help decide a few things. While Jem was a Sableye, his ability had him stay until last. Which sucked... Why did you want one again? Either way, the Mortpoi thing moved in, hovering to where the Weavile had been. The Bellyflop attack using a zombie/ghost-like fish was a little useless. It's three pound body did nothing to little for you. At first, the Mortpoi connected with the Weavile's body. The Sharp Claw pokemon yelped, feeling a body collide into it. Little damage was done compared to what it could be. Retaliating, and teaching how strong it could be, the Weavile copied the fish. His Belly Flop was much more powerful then yours had been. Another one from Mortpoi before it retreated to your side. The Weavile wasn't done; coming back for the fish, its wings seemingly glowing with the last bit of Moonlight available. A belly flop to it, knocked it to the ground, and bouncing it up to head level.

As for the Sneasel, it seemed to debate on what to use to knock one of your pokemon out. It had been slightly weaker then the Weavile. This gave the evolved pokemon an advantage to leadership. The male had instructed the female with a Belly Flop, by demonstrating it nearly doing one on the ground. It had seemed to be still, debating on which enemy to perform such a move. It seemed the Weavile had a grudge against the fish. Having attacking him seemed to have your pokemon as a target. The Sneasel rushed towards the Mortpoi before the moonlight concealed everyone in the room. You heard a bang, and then a lesser bang.

You can't see.

With Jem, his gem-like eyes still had a faint glow. It would make it easy to detect him. As he went for the Weavile with his claws out, the Weavile seemed to have an idea of where the Sableye was, and wanted to dodge. But he was taken by the distance the arm was compared to where the eyes had been. He wasn't expecting it as much as he thought; but the second attempt had a miss. For sure, this problem would only persist and create tons of problems.

Still no moonlight...

The Sandshrew had no light. It would be pointless to move, but he didn't want to just give up. Going for where he thought Sneasel had been before, you heard a scratching coming from across the Center. It was more then likely Sandshrew scratching at a wall. He wasn't hitting the correct target, but even the wall could help him learn. When it came to the Munna, things weren't exactly well either. With the lights off, the cold was creeping up quicker then it would if you were in Millenia. The Munna tried to take a spin as the moonlight had left, with metal on her mind, of course. It didn't seem to do much for her, but her spin was weak and uncontrollable. Her aim was off and she went backwards, hitting and making a small crack in a window. The people inside weren't too happy and were fearing more of your pokemon tutoring then those attacking.

With the moonlight gone, I had no idea how the moves had turned out, and no way to correct or congratulate the users on what progress they'd made or missed out on. I ignored the dirty looks from the others in the center... Mostly. "If you dumbasses don't like it, make yourselves useful! Get me a light so they can aim their attacks and keep your lazy stupid selves safe. The cops had flashlights earlier, what the hell happened to them!?" If I'd been anybody else... I MIGHT have considered the repurcussions of cussing at the cops where they could hear it. Now? I was more concerned with downing the darkies... Maybe expanding my team's usefulness. Before the moonlight had vanished so, the Sneasel had seemed more calculating than the weavile: A trait I thought admirable in the little fae.

... Admirable in the way of 'I want that'...

... Admirable in the way the Zubat had been before the cops *&^%ed that up...

... Why the hell do the cops always screw people over?

I glanced into the darkness again, shivering and drawing my blanket closer to myself. "Nevermind... Forget it, Nurse Joy. Gimme Graham's ball and go nap in a bathroom." As crude as the suggestion was, it was a valid one. Bathrooms don't have windows, unless the architectural engineer was a moron... It WOULD be the safest place to, say, Nap, while pokemon are invading your place of business. "Alright, guys! Let's TRY this again!" I barked. "You two! Get back over here!" I griped. "Jam, use your telepathy to find one of these two bruisers and hit it hard with a good Strike. Keep aware of it's thoughts and act accordingly! Then tell the others which way to go to get hold of it!"

"Sandshrew! Let's try that again... NOT on a wall this time! Focus on your speed and then do the multiple scratches on your opponent, after Jam tells you where they are." I glanced sideways to the place the iridescent wings had once been, before the moonlight faded. "Morty, if you're still around, I want you to use consecutive Tail Whips on these beasties. If you have to, wait until Jam tells you where they are. Jem, go with a couple scratches. Everybody focus your attacks on the Weavile if you can. Otherwise, just attack..."

Shimo City's Pokemon Center

The moon glimmered, as if it was going to come out. But never did. The faint encounter with the soft light left the location of everyone. The Sneasel and Weavile knew where you all were, as well as your team getting a glance at them. The people inside were starting to grunt and look at you strange. Your loud tone and demanding and insulting words seemed to dwell on their attitude towards you. No one concentrated on what you said, in fact, no one cared anymore.

"Weavile!" A voice came from over where the pokemon were. Jam seemed to be hard at work locating them. They had been moving while in the dark, their greatest tool for killing off prey easily. You heard a few clashes, and a few thuds, and a few other stranger noises. Suddenly, moonlight had pierced through the window, lightly. Once you strained your eyes, you could see that Munna was done. She must've hit the Weavile with a Strike, and he countered with a move. What move? He seemed happier then ever. Probably Assurance. It was definitely to watch out for!

Because the moonlight was faint, and Jam was no longer in the fight... the rest of the team seemed to be useless. Sandshrew, trying to swell up all the courage he could, rushed for the silhouette of the Weavile, deliverying a few slashes. The Fury Swipes seemed, well, alright. The Weavile didn't seem to use a move (and hopefully not Assurance) on Sandshrew, though the mouse didn't go unharmed. Feeling that he wasn't up to par with them, the Sneasel rushed to it and used a swift Quick Attack, that launched Sandshrew a pretty considerable distance. A wall caught the mouse, leaving it slipping from consciousness.

Things seem to get a tad darker. The Mortpoi tried swaying its tail, taunting the weasels' eyes and drop their defense more. But their fix on the lower leveled pokemon mixed with the darkness in the Pokemon Center, it didn't seem to affect them. The last move went to Jem, who seemed to retain the knowledge of where the Weavile had been. A few simple and slow Scratches finished the round off, but not Weavile!

(XD Guess it's a good thing I'm in the Pokemon Center... I'm screwed. So many royal directions of screwed... Is Sandshrew fainted or still in the fight? The text says fainted, the table says conscious...)

I growled under my breath at the group, the low snarl dressing my maw. "Asspains..." I grumbled, raising my wrist to check the group's stats on my poketch to find out how everyone was doing. I rolled my eyes as the health bars. One untouched and one ready to go. From that brief look of things, it didn't look much different on the other end of the battle, either. I hadn't bothered checking the Sandshrew's health. If it was still in, great.

"Alright, guys... May be our last chance, here..." I stared into the dark, feeling... for the most part useless... And a little helpless. It wasn't something I was unaccustomed to, but it still wasn't pleasant. At the very least, not something I liked. A slow grin came to mind as I peered over the attack lists again. "Alright, then... Morty, when you have an idea where one of them is... Bring out the super soakers!" I grinned. "Use a water gun, as many times as you think you can hit 'em!" I grinned, pondering briefly repeating the idea towards the cold shoulders in the center on purpose, but deciding to at least let that wait for there to be a heater working the building again. "Jem!" I barked, the grin remaining. "Soon as you get a chance, you do the same. Rapid Fire Scratch on whichever of the two you can locate."

I glanced in the direction the sandshrew had gone, recalling the Munna to her pokeball and shrugged. "If you're still conscious, you can join in... Just... Do the same as Jem. Three scratch attacks. We'll work more on Fury Swipes later." This was spoken in a much less growly tone, almost one of indifference, at this point.

Shimo City~ creepypasta Pokemon Center

Keen Eye is a bitch, ain't it? Even in such suffocating darkness, two Pokemon gracing your makeshift battlefield were able to see every movement. The good news? Jem has the exact same ability. Isn't it wonderful how life works sometimes?

Jem decided to put his skills to use, moving over to Mortpoi. First he waved his hands in front of the fish thing to make sure he could see the movement. After confirmation, he pointed out the two opponents. Mortpoi still was having trouble seeing them specifically, but at least he could see the silhouettes of his targets. He decided that his first opponent would be the larger of the two shadows, Weavile. Smart choice.

You could tell (or maybe not because it was so dark) that Sneasel figured that one out because she singled out Jem. Jem had very little time to react, as Sneasel was already slamming into him with a Quick Attack. He hit the ground, but jumped back up quickly to Scratch Sneasel. The fight quickly degraded to a Scratch war, with Jem using two more Scratches and Sneasel using one more.

Meanwhile, Mortpoi was tracking the silhouette Jem pointed out to him. It was hard to track because Weavile was moving so much. That's why it was no surprise that his first Water Gun sailed by Weavile's face, missing completely. He grew frustrated and fired a second one that went way off. He could hear snickering in the darkness, and the shadow was shaking. Smartly, he chose that moment to fire a Water Gun; when there was least chance of missing. Sure enough, it hit Weavile straight in the chest and sent him flying backwards... unable to get up.

Sandshrew followed Sableye's glowing crystal orbs to his target. His three Scratch attacks were the equivalent of me taking a crow-bar to an armored tank, but at least he did his job, and you could tell that he was alive somewhat...

{Sorry, couldn't think of a good way to end the ref.}

I heard the one slump to the ground with what seemed a thud, and didn't hear the claws rejoin the battle. A wry grin slid accross my maw for the sound. With the little glint of the sandshrew's claws or scales, whichever it was, I could tell the rat was at least still alive. "Hey, Runt." I barked. I was quiet for a moment. "... Good job. Now... Take this over to that unconscious one and catch the beast with it. Shove it down the thing's throat, if you have to." I tilted back my foot enough to provide a carriage for one of my pokeballs, to wait for the little beast to perform his task. "Then hurry back here with the loaded ball."

My eyes didn't really turn towards the Sandshrew: It would do what it would do, and so far, fear seemed to rule it into doing what I told it, regardless whether it was healthy. I suspected the beast would obey, regardless my attitude. "Jem, Morty, end this nuisance. The sneasel goes down NOW. Scratch and Watergun until the thing submits. Then 'Tiny Tim' will come around with another pokeball." My eyes wandered in the direction of the sandshrew, and as soon as it had taken the first ball from my foot, I provided it with another to wait for the rodential runt. When the rat would return with the loaded ball, if the capture was successful, I would wait until he tugged at my pantleg: As blind as Morty was in the dark, here, to bend and retrieve the orb.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!
Shimo City's Pokemon Center

The dark pokemon struggled to stay on two legs. The toll of battle has finally winded him down, and it wouldn't be long. It seemed like you had a bit of rage escape, having sent instructions for a barrage of attacks to defeat it; if not kill it with everything. The variety of attacks were flown, and it was hard to say who did what, but it was all good! Sneasel went down. In the darkness, it was hard to say if you'd even have a 15% to catching it. After a few minutes, you heard the scratching of claws, as maybe the two weasels were crawling away. It was a sign of hope, they you saved them, but suddenly another good thing went your way.

Abruptly, the lights burst on. It made some jump, and some scream, but others smiled and cheered. They thought it was over. But was it? The misty snow storm had remained around the Pokemon Center. A man came through the back, tired, and looking beat up. He had seemed a little exhausted but so glad they had lights. With the addition to lights, the Nurse was quick to snatch your pokemon and pokeballs from you to heal them. If something was to go wrong, it seemed like they only had you to count on.

"Everyone," The man from the backroom said, grabbing people's attention. "We have guns at the Police Station down the road. I know it is risky, but it may be our only hope to get these pokemon away and have some safety." The statement instantly rose popularity among the men. Most of them wanted to live, and for those who had them, protect their wives and children. It seemed that, even without asking you, the man formed a group and were nearly out the door. No matter what you said, they were going.

Well, that was mean. They left you with mostly women and children. The annoying sound of people crying and whining about the situation would never help it. A few men stayed, but it was either because they were injured or elderly. With no friends, you couldn't even have a nice conversation. The nurse returned your pokemon, and she seemed to be your only friend.

A loud bang came from the back room, again. Someone should really close that hole up. Walking in was a tank-like pokemon. A native, perhaps. Kooji, beeped your Poketch. It seemed to be a pretty good level, and wanting to fight. Hopefully it was the ending to this nightmare!

I stared after them and rolled my eyes. "Fragging IDIOTS!" I snarled, smacking my forehead as the menfolk skittered out the door to rely on GUNS versus pokemon. Even a homeless vagabond knew most human weapons did little against the faster, smaller creatures most pokemon were. I sighed, though. There was nothing that could be done, with the idiots taken out of the picture. "Alright... Everybody... Get the doors blocked off, again... Two of you go to the back, see if you can close off the let-in. If you can't get back there, just close the doo-" I found myself staring at a new menace as I thanked the nurse and reclaimed my pokballs.

"... You WOULD do that, wouldn't you..." I grumbled, turning to the women. "Get that damned door shut!" I barked, grinning down at the thing. "Well... It would seem it's your very unlucky day, my friend... I don't manage to be in a good mood at the moment..." I gave a bit of a grin. "You lot... Are becoming nuisances... That's supposed to be my job..." I dropped two pokeballs and watched their contents form, the pink orbule of an elephantoid beast with her psychedelic pattern and the purple ghostfish, smiling. "Alright, guys... One more... For now. Jam, let's see a couple Psywaves." My eyes glanced towards Morty. "Gimme a good tail whip and a gust, Morty. Blow the thing away." ~It looks like a water pokemon, anyways... Maybe wind'll have a decent effect on it...~
