HELLOOO! And welcome to Zaroff Island! After you both received your new partners, you're ready to begin your journeys together. Embarking on your very own Pokemon Journey is very exciting, but it's also a big responsibility. You have to remember to take care of your friends and your Pokemon. And in this case, you might not know a whole lot about Pokemon. That's alright, you'll catch on eventually. Traveling with a friend can be a very great experience. You will both learn a lot from each other. Along the way you might not always agree on something, but in the end you'll find that getting your way isn't always the most important thing. So anyways, let's talk location. Zaroff Island is the one of the largest unexplored areas throughout Alternia. Unless you're very careful, Zaroff Island can be a very dangerous place. The chances of running into a wild Pokemon can be very high, so it's a great place to add additional members to your "squad". To the west is Adler's Puddle, probably a great place to catch some Water-Type Pokemon. And to the North is the Twin Peaks Mountains, a good place to test your Pokemon's skill. So, you have a choice. You can do anything you want, except kill someone. You can't kill someone...Just not right... You both walked the streets of Zaroff Island, following paths leading in the direction opposite of the research center. Step after step you took, feeling more confident every second. Then suddenly, something came from behind you (Saya) and knocked you over. After landing harshly on the ground, you looked up to find a small Corphish standing before you. Walking towards the Corphish were two young girls. One girl had a small Pidgey perched on her shoulder. The other girl looked at you and began to laugh. "Ha, what a loser. Nice shot, Corphish," she said. Ouch, how rude. "I'm Beth, this is my friend Suki. How 'bout a battle?" Well, if I were you, I'd battle these girls and show 'em who's boss. But, it's your choice. So....Go on now! Level 5 Level 5

She was taken back by the size of the lake as soon as it came into view. The contradiction in the name was both amusingly and irritatingly ironic, in her opinion. Setting her hands on her hips, she came to a halt, peering over the huge body of water before them. "Man! What a lake!" she shouted, a light breeze tossing her hair about in her face. "I didn't think it'd be /this/ big..." She started at the sudden cry of a Wooper, running out of the grass and toward them, seemingly having absolutely no inhibitions about being battled or caught. "Weird; I wonder if all Pokemon around here are so forward?" she asked, mainly to herself. But before she could even make a motion toward Shred's Poke Ball or an empty one, the Wooper took off, heading back down for the shore. "C'mon!" she shouted at Katsu, grabbing his hand and dragging him through the grass, following the trail of the water fish Pokemon as best she could. She gasped, realizing it had come to a halt. Skidding to a stop, she stumbled once before regaining her balance, watching a particularly irritated-looking Magikarp trying to get back into the water. Saya frowned uneasily, unsure of what to do. The Wooper wanted their help, apparently, but perhaps the Magikarp didn't want human hands to intervene. "W-What should we--" she began, but was interrupted when the Wooper was hit, sending her to the ground. The Spearow and its cohorts began Pecking at the defenseless Magikarp, and Saya grit her teeth. "HEY!" she roared, hoping her voice might be able to scare off a few of the Spearow as she removed Shred's Poke Ball from her belt. She was a little nervous about making her Torchic face three adversaries, and Katsu's Shroomish was at a disadvantage... "GET AWAY FROM THAT MAGIKARP! Shred, let's show these guys some manners!" She threw the Poke Ball, and the little firey creature emerged in a beam of red light, shouting a "Tor!" as it awaited orders. Edited by Saya Lenal, Mar 29 2010, 08:58 PM.

Katsu stopped a few steps behind Saya, blinking as his eyes moved over the size of the lake. "Wow," he said simply, not really sure what else to say. The Puddle, as it were, was far, far larger than he had anticipated. The fact that it was called a 'puddle' and not a 'huge freaking lake' was quite misleading. He wondered just what sort of things would be hidden in the lake, and what secrets it held. "Yeah, no kidding," he said in response to Saya, moving to stand next to her as he ran a gloved hand through his hair, still sort of amazed by the size of it. However, before he had a chance to say anything more, he heard the cry of a pokemon, which jumped up and down before them before it turned, heading back down to the shoreline. Katsu had reached his hand back to his new belt, where his pokeballs were held. "I'm not sure. But we should-" he began, about to suggest following it when Saya had grabbed his hand and pulled him forward, taking his words into action. As they reached the destination, Katsu frowned as he saw the Magikarp flopping around rather uselessly. "That's one bufugly pokemon..." he muttered as he took another step forward, planning on helping it back into the water, when a Spearow dive-bombed from above, knocking the Wooper away and then moving into to attack the helpless fish pokemon, along with its two buddies. He growled, releasing his Shroomish to stand next to the Torchic, before he looked at the Wooper. "Hey there. You should help us out, chief. Shroomish, Focus your attack and then Tackle that Spearow!" he exclaimed, his finger-pointing now becoming a part of his fighting style. "But watch out for their beaks!" He glanced at Saya. "Grass is weak to Flying, right?" he asked, hoping that the type disadvantage wouldn't be the end of his Shroomish. Edited by Katsu, Mar 29 2010, 10:19 PM.

Grass is indeed weak to flying, which would leave you, Katsu, at quite the disadvantage here against these three flying types. However, Shroomish looked willing to fight, or as willing as a mushroom fighting three birds could be. Wooper seemed to want to help as well, so this was a three-on-three fight, making this somewhat more fair. The three Spearow were hovering close to one another, making singling one out very difficult. They seemed to move in unison, following the strongest one. This made picking a target easy, however actually hitting him would be a different story. Wooper decided to make the first move, wagging her tail at the birds, infuriating all three of them, and causing them to lower their defences. His anger rising, the lead Spearow rushed forward at Wooper to dive in for a Peck. Wooper had anticipated this, and gave a mean Water Gun to the Spearow's face. The bird fell to the ground, thoroughly embarrassed. His two minions dove at Wooper for a Peck each, then flew to their master's side. Wooper staggered back a bit, but she was alright. She looked determined to protect her Magikarp friend, whom the birds had pretty much forgot by now. Shred gave a little Growl at the three birds, lowering their attack strength. He then ran in and gave a Scratch to the lead Spearow, further hurting him. Shroomish, who had been Focusing on raising his attack, followed this up with a Tackle to, yep you guessed it, the lead Spearow. By now the Spearow had taken quite a beating, but he still had a fighter's spirit. He looked up and gave a fierce Leer at Wooper, lowering her defence. He jumped up and started squawking, most likely ordering his two minions. "Row, spear spear, row spear, spearow!" Arceus only knows what he said, but suddenly the two other Spearow dove at Shroomish. The mushroom prepared for the worst, when suddenly one diverted from her path and smacked hard into Shred with a surprise Peck! Shroomish was so shocked that he let his guard down and was hit himself. The two Pokemon got up, which was difficult seeing as neither of them really have arms. Your Pokemon were troopers, I'll give them that. They both took the hits like true battlers, even if they did have to roll around like flipped over baby turtles afterward. The Spearow regrouped, once again hovering close to one another. The Spearow that Pecked Shroomish was looking a little ill. His Effect Spore must have poisoned the little bird. That should make this fight a bit easier for you guys. Still, I wouldn't let your guard down, especially you Katsu. Watch out for their Peck and above all make sure Shroomish doesn't get hit too hard. He's already a little wobbly, but the world isn't coming to an end. Wooper was a very helpful ally, I suggest asking her to join you two after the battle. You don't have to, it's not like I'm pointing a gun to your head, I'm just saying she could be useful. Although, this battle has just begun, and I may be wrong in my assessment. We'll just have to see how this plays out. Team Saya/Katsu/Wooper The Birds

Katsu watched the chaos of the battle, watching the three Spearow fly around in tight formation as his own Shroomish was psyching himself up. The blazing attacks happened so quickly that the trainer was barely able to follow them with his eyes. When all was said and done, though, the Spearow who appeared to be the leader was looking the worst off, leaving the other two to nurse its injuries. "Alright Shroomish, we're doing okay. Those beaks are kinda sharp, and these guys are pretty mean, so we're going to have to play our cards right if we wanna do this." The young man glanced at the Spearow, who were still recovering from the assault, and pointed towards their leader, his trademark pose still quite undeterred, despite the fact his Shroomish was looking a little worse for wear. "Okay Shroomish, I want you to go ahead and focus on your Defense this time, just so if they do come atcha, you'll be ready. So go ahead and build your defenses up," he ordered, not wanting his pokemon to end up fainting due to his own negligence. That would be most unfortunate, not only for him, but for his friends, because of the fact that it would 2v3 then, which is something that he couldn't afford to happen. He glanced over at the Wooper, and thought about having his pokemon use Absorb on the creature, but he knew that his own wouldn't exactly be very helpful, in comparison. "Alright, Shroomish," he spoke, kneeling down beside his pokemon, giving it a soft pat on the back. "You did good this last round, but this is where the money shot is gonna be is in taking down that leader. If he goes down, the other two'll either be without a leader, or they'll fight each other for leadership, and we'll be able to take advantage of that." He looked up from the Shroomish to the Spearow again, before he pointed towards Shred. "I want you to follow Shred's movements, and back him up on this. This is important, as I need you to take down that lead Spearow with a Tackle attack. You two are gonna need to work together to pull this off, but if you do, then we'll have the rest of this match in our back pocket!" Standing he pointed at the Wooper. "You! Make sure you give these two the support they need to pull this off!" he called, hoping that the Wooper understood enough of what he was saying to be able to help him and Saya do what they needed to do. "Come on guys! LET'S DO THIS!" |

Saya just smiled at Katsu's ordering, speaking to his Shroomish and the Wooper both in an attempt to direct the battle. Perhaps he was a better battler than he thought. "You heard the guy!" Saya chimed in to the Wooper, before her eyes cast to Shred, who stood waiting and ready for his next orders. "Shred! Use another Growl to take some of the heat outta their attacks. Then, Scratch that leading Spearow all to bits!" she called, jutting a hand forward. Her dark green eyes flickered to the Magikarp that still lay puffing on the shore- she was a bit worried about the poor thing. Sure, it would probably last if this battle didn't take too long, but if these Spearow happened to have some friends lingering in the trees....well, she didn't know what they'd do. Licking her lips, she hesitated for a brief second before speaking again. "Shred! Try to keep the Spearow off of Shroomish, alright? Wooper, you help out!" she called, speaking as if the Wooper was one of hers or Katsu's. "Those Spearow might hit him hard, and we don't want him to get hurt, right?!" "Tor!" Shred exclaimed with a nod, a determined look in the small bird's eyes as he readied himself to fight. He was quite a proud little Pokemon, and extremely determined to prove himself to those around him. Saya just smiled, pride welling in her heart. She was glad she had picked the little guy to be her starter; he was loyal to her just as she was to him. |

Normally ordering a wild Pokemon would be a bad idea. However, this Wooper wanted to beat these Spearow just as badly as you guys did. So she complied with what you wanted, and decided to back up Shred and Shroomish. The three Pokemon stared down the three birds, the one on the left coughing a bit from the poison. Wooper made the first move, using a second Tail Whip on all three birds. The leader looked like he was going to pounce, but he'd learned his lesson from last time. Instead, his two minions flew off in different directions. The leader then sprang into action. Wooper acted fast, shooting down the two minion birds with two Water Guns, each scoring a direct hit. The birds fell to the ground, but they looked satisfied. Their plan must've been to distract Wooper so the leader could go in for the kill. He flew up and then dove at Shroomish. Shred jumped to action, quite literally. He jumped on top of Shroomish and leaped off of his bouncy mushroom body. Shroomish wasn't too pleased, but at least Shred was in the air. The little Torchic gave a Growl, hitting all three birds. Then, once he collided with the Spearow he gave a mean Scratch. The attack sent both Shred and Spearow plummeting to the ground. They both landed with a thud. Shroomish dashed at the fallen Spearow, hitting him hard with a Tackle. One down, two more to go. Shroomish and Shred jumped in happiness, but both forgot about the other two birds. They shook their feathers to let the water out, and then took to the skies once more. The female bird dove at Shroomish, hitting him hard. Thankfully, due to his increased defence and her lowered attack, the damage was far less than it could've been. The male dove at Shred, coughing the whole way. Shred saw that his movements were a bit sluggish due to the poison, and hopped back as the bird dove at him. The Spearow hit the ground hard, injuring him pretty badly. He cried out in pain, but flew back to the fallen body of his leader. The lead Spearow was still up, but he couldn't fight. "S...spearow, spe......row. Spea spear, row, spearow......spearow." The birds nodded, understanding what their leader said. You two really had no idea what he said, and to be honest neither do I. It must've been inspirational because the two other Spearow looked as determined as ever to defeat you. As long as you keep up your current tactics, then you should have little problem defeating them. Team Saya/Katsu/Wooper The Birds

Katsu watched the plan unfold, and though the Spearow had collided with Katsu's Shroomish, the little pokemon didn't seem all that worse for wear, at the moment. Certainly, he'd be feeling it in the morning, but for right now he seemed to be doing okay. As he saw the Spearow that had been poisoned crash to the ground as Shred easily dodged it. Reaching to the belt at his waist, he pulled out one of the smaller pokeballs, his finger tapping the center to cause the item to widen, filling his palm. He could get a Spearow here, if he played his cards right, and if that Wooper was more friendly to him than Saya, then he might be able to get two birds with one stone...or a bird and a fish/tadpole thing with two pokeballs, but the point was still there. "Alright Shroomish, you're doing good, buddy," he called out, wanting the little guy to know that his trainer was rooting for him, especially considering he was definitely at a type disadvantage out there, and that was going to hurt him doubly when he evolved, or so said the information on the poketech. He'd been reading the information rather voraciously since Saya had shown him how, and he was beginning to understand, at least in theory, quite a bit of the stuff about pokemon that he hadn't even thought of before. Granted, he still had a long way to go to understand everything, and he tended to confuse a lot of the types, but still, he was learning. He gestured to the weakened Spearow, who was still looking like it was about to toss up the contents of its stomach at any moment now. "Go for that one," he spoke, nodding to himself as he tossed the pokeball up and down in his other hand. "If you can make sure that it doesn't pass all the way out, I'd appreciate it, but I'd rather it go down than you, so if you think it'll be a threat, then go for it," Katsu commanded, knowing that he'd have another shot with something else if it got to that point. He glanced at the Wooper, not sure what to say to it, as he didn't have much of a plan, now that the leader had been taken out. "Focus on one or the other, because if we can bring down another, then it'll be three-on-one and we shouldn't have too much issue in saving your friend," he spoke, nodding as he referred to the Magikarp behind them. Saya's whole face lit up at the sight of the Spearow's leader plummeting to the ground. "Good job, guys!" she called to their side of the team, watching as Shred teetered back toward her. He was fine, mostly- a little bruised and a bit winded, but otherwise fine. "Alright!" she snarled, her mood suddenly snapping as she watched the Spearow communicate, coming up with yet another plan. "Shred, you're doing good! Shroomish and Wooper've got that poisoned Spearow; so let's take on the other one, alright?" "Torchic!" Shred cried, determination burning in his eyes as he watched the Spearow, ready for his orders. "Focus your energy and then deliver as many Scratches as you can, Shred!" Saya called, pointing toward the bird that still appeared to be in good shape. Her dark, forest green eyes returned to the Magikarp behind her and Katsu, a worried look passing her features. The poor fish looked as if it was struggling pretty badly. Perhaps she would be able to capture it after this battle. She and her brother had done a lot of work and studying back when they were younger, and thus she had a fair amount of knowledge of many different Pokemon...though she was a bit lacking in some of the Pokemon specific to the Sinnoh region. She knew a few, such as Chatot and the Eevee evolutions, but... Breaking back into the present, she returned her attention to the battle, keeping a close eye on Shroomish and Wooper, along with her own little Fire-type Pokemon. She couldn't afford for him to get hurt... Edited by Saya Lenal, Apr 13 2010, 07:12 PM.

You guys are coordinating on this pretty well. Shroomish Shred and the Wooper all seemed to be working together to take down these birds. Teamwork is always nice to have in a situation like this, especially with a type disadvantage. Wooper and Shred are helping cover Shroomish's weakness quite effectively, and thus allowing him to perform to his fullest potential. Because of this, the battle should be over pretty soon. Shroomish was the first to act, slamming a hard Tackle into the male Spearow. The bird coughed a little from the poison, but weakly flew into the air. He circled Shroomish for a bit before diving for a Peck. Shroomish hopped out of the way and delivered a second Tackle, knocking the little bird out cold. It wasn't really his fault, Spearow's weakened defence pretty much ensured a knockout this round. Regardless of him having fainted, you tossed your Pokeball. It shook once...twice...thrice....PING! You've got yourself a Spearow! Well, this battle was certainly off to a nice start. Let's see how Shred and Wooper are handling. Wooper decided that since Shroomish would likely knock out the poisoned Spearow on his own, she would help Shred. Shred Focused his Energy, concentrating hard on finding weak points on the enemy. Wooper knew that Shred's intense concentration could be broken at any given moment, and she saw the remaining Spearow about to dive-bomb Peck the little Torchic. Wooper shot out a Water Gun at the airborne Spearow, sending her back to the ground. The second time Spearow got up, she flew too fast for Wooper, Pecking her hard. Shred hopped at the bird and dug his claws into her in a devastating Scratch. Spearow felt the pain and flew off. She circled hew two opponents slowly, waiting for the right moment to strike. Little did she know that Shred was waiting for his opportune moment as well. When he saw the bird dive at him, he waited until the last second before leaping to the side. He stuck his claws out to rake hard at the Spearow's body as she flew past him. The attack was a glorious success, cutting harshly into the bird's side. Her right wing was damaged, and made flying very awkward for her. She landed a few feet away and hopped a bit to keep her balance. Wooper shot out a second Water Gun, knocking the bird over. Spearow was on her last legs here. One more round will certainly do it. Team Saya/Katsu/Wooper The Birds

Saya gave a low whistle as she watched Katsu capture the Spearow, a grin forming on her face. "Nice one!" she called, her mood seemingly having picked back up once more as she watched the battle progress. Turning back to her Pokemon, she watched him deliver a devastating combo attack to the female Spearow, sending her plummeting to the ground in a burst of feathers, dirt and grass. She grinned, having half a thought to catch a Spearow for herself...but she didn't particularly care for the little bastards. They were mildly ornery and she didn't want to snap on a Pokemon. People were different- if she snapped on someone, they would eventually recover from it. A Pokemon...a Pokemon might become terrified of her. "One more round and this should be over, Shred. Just look at how much he's faltering." Saya muttered to her Pokemon, who gave a small nod, looking heartened by this battle. The little creature seemed quite proud of himself and all of his actions. "Give him as many Scratches as possible to end this fight once and for all! Keep Shroomish covered and keep an eye on Wooper too, okay?" "Chic!" Torchic cawed, his feathers ruffling briefly before he moved forward to follow through with his attacks. Watching the Pokemon out of the corner of her eye, she stepped over to Katsu. "A Spearow, eh?" she murmured, rubbing her chin thoughtfully. "Maybe I should catch a Pokemon, too..." She glanced to the Wooper. The little blue tadpole Pokemon seemed to have more of an attraction to Katsu, in her opinion, as the man was the one who had been delivering the most orders to her. Saya's eyes then slid to the Magikarp still flopping about behind them, looking mildly irritated that all of this was happening without much of any action from her personally. "It'll be alright, Magikarp," she said comfortingly to the little fish Pokemon. She was sort of tentative about catching it, seeing as how that might upset the Wooper and wind up in the wild Pokemon turning on them...something she didn't really want. With another glance to the Fish Pokemon, she sighed, pulling an empty Poke Ball from her belt and pressing the middle button, watching it grow to full size before she looked down at the Fish Pokemon. "Would you like to come with us?" she asked the little creature, setting the Poke Ball down beside her mouth. "Just press that middle button if you do. I'd love to add ya to my team," Saya finished with a grin, before she glanced back out to the field to check up on Shred, Shroomish and the Wooper. |

"Yeah~!" Katsu called out as he saw the pokeball come to a rest after catching the more-or-less unconscious Spearow. That made two he had for his team, now. A flying type to cover the weaknesses of his Shroomish. Doing some quick calculations in his head, he realized that he needed a Fire type...or a Fighting type...or something that would crush an Ice pokemon, as that was the one common weakness shared by his two pokemon right now. Glancing down at Shred, he wondered if perhaps Saya would be interested in trading...but he doubted it. She and her Torchic were quite close already, and even if she was willing to trade, he wouldn't want to break the two of them apart, even if they would technically be travelling together. It just wasn't right, after all. "Alright Shroomish; we're doing good. The leader's down, and his flunky is now under my control, which means there's just one more little threat to worry about," he spoke as he directed his gaze to the final Spearow, which was looking a bit worse for wear, not to mention that it was now three-on-one, (four if you counted the flopping Magikarp.) He glanced to the side at Saya, wondering if she was going to attempt to capture this other Spearow here. She wasn't looking particularly interested in it, however, and as she gave her commands to Shred, she turned to speak to the flopping Magikarp, which gave Katsu a bit of pause. Could that...thing...actually fight? It looked rather pathetic, to him. Shrugging, he turned his attention to the remaining Spearow, and once more gestured with his usual flair for the dramatic. "Okay, let's end this Shroomish! Go ahead and use an Absorb to get a bit of health back, and then Tackle her if she's got anything left!" he called, then glanced down to the Wooper. Saya seemed to be trying to convince the Magikarp to join her now, it seemed. He didn't know how the little blue thing would respond to her trying to 'capture' it, so he tried to keep its attention on the battle, for now. Besides, if Saya could recruit the Magikarp, then maybe he could convince the Wooper to join him so that it could stay with her friend. Which would give Katsu a pokemon advantage, even if neither of them were something he really wanted...they'd definitely be useful in a fight, as the Wooper and Spearow had already proven. "Okay Wooper, if you're still with us, let's take down this jerk! Show her what it's like to get picked on!" he called out, his arm still outstretched towards the bird pokemon. "Let's end this, now!" |

Wow, you really wanna overkill this Spearow, don't you? Or are you just saying all this to be safe. Well, it'd just be mean if I let every single attack hit it, wouldn't it? Anyway, yeah. Shred ran forward, scratching Spearow with it's talons. It. . . pretty much just fell over fainted. Yeah, all those other attacks are un-necessary. You could still use them if you wanted, but they'd. . . really do nothing. Anyway, Wooper seemed really happy that they won. Magikarp, almost barely able to move, managed to press the Pokeball. He was enveloped in a red light, as he quickly vanished, being sucked into the Pokeball. Who knows if he touched it because he really wanted to join you, or he just wanted to. . . not die. Either way, he was captured and yours, now. So, Saya, are you gonna catch one of the Spearow? Oh, Katsu, I'm sure you could convince Wooper to join you. Or you could investigate the meteors hurdling towards you at lightning speeds- wait what. Yes, two meteors were flying down towards you two at great speeds. They crashed into the earth near you, some feet away. They were pure white, and seemed to be glowing slightly in little spots. If you felt it, it would be strangely icy cold, instead of hot like you'd expect something that just crashed from space to be. Suddenly, both of of the Pokétech you owned started beeping or making some sort of noise. There was an advertisement about getting a special Pokémon for turning in a special meteorite at Meteoric Plains on the outskirts of Kijutsu. Wow, this advertisement happens just as two meteorites crash near you. That's such a coincidence. Don't you love when things like this happen? Shred has won the battle! A broad grin spread onto Saya's face at the Magikarp pressed the button on the Poke Ball, joining her party. She did a fist pump in the air, picking up the Poke Ball and brandishing it to Katsu. "Look! I got a new Pokemon, too!" she bragged, and Shred padded back over to her, letting out a small "Tor!". The small Fire-type looked up at Saya as she bent down, picking him up. "This Magikarp here's joined our team, okay Shred? Just like that egg in my pack," she said with a grin, thumbing toward the bag slung over her shoulder. She glanced down to the Poke Ball. "So give her a warm welcome." She continued to look down at the sphere in her hand, and she gave a thoughtful "Hmm" noise, trying to think up a nickname. Even if Katsu didn't seem to name his Pokemon, she preferred to name her own. "I'll name her Sydney," she said with a grin, giving a nod before reattaching the Poke Ball to her belt. She looked to her Torchic. "For doing such a good job, I'll let you stay out a little while, Shred," she said cheerfully, and the Torchic chirped with joy, leaping from her arms and down onto the ground. ...and that was when Saya noticed the two meteors heading toward them. "Watch it!" she called, not wanting anyone to get hit by the flying rock as she grabbed Katsu's arm, quickly pulling him away from it, not entirely sure how much of an explosion there could possibly be. However, they landed almost anticlimactically, with little more than a spray of dirt up into the air. Before she could even open her mouth to speak, her PokeTech suddenly began to go berserk, beeping and making as much noise as she assumed it could. Her eye twitched irritably, the noise getting on her nerves, but she steadied herself enough to look at the information it was spouting to her. "...meteors," she mumbled, scratching the back of her head as she returned her eyes to the rocks that had crashed into the ground a short few feet away. How convenient that they were to come up all of a sudden, and even more convenient that there had been two of them. It was like this was all...predetermined. She glanced down to Shred, who was watching the meteors as if he were expecting them to jump up and attack. Swallowing, she moved forward, approaching the two rocks and kneeling down in the dirt before them. Tentatively extending a hand, she could practically feel the cold radiating from the stone surface. "Do you want to go?" she asked Katsu, side-glancing over her shoulder. "It's not like we really have that much else to do, here...and this could be an interesting deal." She picked up the meteor to the left, staring down at it before she removed her pack, carefully inserting it as to not disturb her Pokemon Egg. |

Katsu glanced down at his Shroomish, which looked rather relieved that the battle was over. The Spearow had done a number on him, to be sure, and he was looking just a little bit worse for wear. However, now that the fight had finally come to an end, the thrill of victory was moving through all of them. The man gave a long stretch, the thrill of the battle now leaving him, making him feel a bit more relaxed, now. "That was a good fight there, Shroomish," he said as he moved over to the creature, patting it on the head. He was careful to avoid the spores that lingered on the pokemon's skin, or at least as many of them as he could. It wouldn't do for him to get poisoned or paralyzed by his own pokemon. Turning, he glanced over at the Wooper, which was celebrating on its own. "Hey there, Wooper," he spoke, moving over to it. Now Saya had a water type, even if it was...kind of small and pathetic-looking. He really wasn't sure why she wanted it in the first place. It didn't really look like it could do much of anything outside of the water, and considering they did most of their battling on land, it was...kind of silly, really. "You did a bang-up job too," he said with a grin as he moved over towards it, Shroomish following along right behind him. "Now I'm not saying that you have to, but since Saya over there convinced your friend to come along, why don't you too?" he asked, using the same tactic that Saya had, extending a pokeball towards it to let it push the button on its own, rather than forcing it inside. However, just then he heard Saya cry out and he turned, the slight impact of the two rocks causing him to drop the pokeball he'd been holding, and now his attention was split between the meteors, the Wooper, and the Spearow's pokeball, which was still lying where he'd caught it. So much to do... Before he knew it, Saya was already moving over to the meteors, as he'd been too busy trying to figure out how to shut off his Poketech's annoying alarm. "Watch-" he began, but she had already moved her hand near it, and didn't seem to be suffering any ill effects from it. That was...kind of odd, really. If a meteor had crashed down through space, science class told him that it should be hot, but she just went and picked it up like it had been lying there all day. "Uh...yeah I guess we can, sure," he said with a nod, followed by a grin. "Whatcha say, Wooper? Road trip?" he asked the small fish-like creature, hoping that it would choose to come with them. It had seemed fairly amiable towards him in the battle, even listening to his commands...but this was a wild pokemon, after all. |

Well Saya got her meteor and Katsu was trying to get the Wooper to join his team, let's see how that goes... You held the Pokeball up to the wild Wooper, but then you were interrupted by the landing of the meteors. You picked up the meteor, because who wouldn't pick up a meteor, and went back to the Wooper that you wanted to catch. You held your Pokeball to her and the arm-less Pokemon analyzed it. Finally, she did a headbutt on the Pokeball and hit the center button. You successfully captured Wooper! Or, maybe you actually caught it by accident. Maybe the Wooper was trying to hit the Pokeball away from her. We may never know o.o With several new additions to both of your teams, you were all ready to begin on a journey to get to Kijutsu City. Although I'm not entirely sure if you should be excited for that. Sure, you could trade your meteors for something epicly awesome, but Kijutsu does have a reputation for being a city filled with thieves and other kinds of scary people. Maybe you should stay on the island and attend one of Gatsby's famous parties (The Great Gatsby reference if you didn't know). But enough of me trying to distract you and attempting to create an amusing ref, let's get on this journey. Both of you walked on a single dirt road and hoped that it would somehow take you to a place where you could get to Kijutsu City, right? Well... it did. You spotted a ferry and automatically assumed that you could just go on it for free, right? WRONG. The ferry that was stationed there had too many damages to it. Why you may ask? It's because pirates attempted to raid the ship and used their Pokemon to try and break the ship as best as they could. Damn pirates! Now you had no way to get to the mainland and to Kijutsu City. Swimming wasn't an option, unless both of you can swim nonstop for days on end. Flying was also out of the question, so what could you do? Just when you think all was lost, a woman came up to both of you. She had a fisherman's outfit on, but you noticed that she had a belt full of Pokeballs. "Howdy there, strangers." said the woman. "Are you guys looking for a way to get off this island? If so, you can come with me and my husband. We're traveling on our Lapris' and you're more than welcome to join us, well, for a price that is... Does $50 each sound reasonable for the both of you?" Well how lucky for you guys. The ferry was utterly useless, but this kind woman offered both of you to ride on her and her husband's Lapris. She looked trustworthy, so I don't really see why you shouldn't accept her offer. Trust me, nothing will go wrong, unless you run into pirates just like the ferry did... Katsu succesfully captured Wooper and was added to his team. Edited by Sheik, Apr 22 2010, 11:37 AM.
