I LOVE Avatar...The Last Airbender, yo.

HELLOOOO! And welcome to Millen-...Oh wait, that's right...You already live here...Uhh, this is awkward. But anyways, today's the day you're starting your journey! How exciting! After receiving your Surskit five years ago, it's finally time to head out on your own and see the world. Your friend, Kristy, and her Ledyba set off on their journey as well. Who knows, maybe you'll bump into each other some day and have a great battle. But that's for another time, now we discuss your adventure. The day was wonderful. There were very few clouds visible in the sky, rolling along ever so slowly. There was a slight breeze, but it felt relaxing. You walked along the streets of Millenia Town with Ace by your side, nothing really new. You've lived there your whole life, you pretty much knew everyone in town. But now you saw things in a different light. Every person you saw you thought of as a possible ally, partner, or enemy. How exciting, right? As you took your next few steps, all of a sudden, you tripped over something on the ground. Once you took your not-so-gracious fall, landing hard on the ground, something rose from the ground. "Ayy! What you doin' steppin' all over my Ekans like that!" a man yelled, standing at your feet. Oops, you just tripped over an Ekans, and it doesn't look too happy. "Ekans go, Poison Sting!" Woah, that all happened rather fast. So hurry up or your Surskit's gonna be in big trouble! Level 5

"Ace, we are going to have so much fun," Chloe said with a large smile down at her Surskit. Ace looked up and met her eyes with his own small smile. Well, as much of a smile as a Surskit could give you. Overall it was a perfect day for Chloe to start her journey. The relaxing weather made it alot easier to relax. Even though that was mostly a lie, Chloe's nerves were jumping around her body like jumping beans. She couldn't wait to catch her very own pokemon! Chloe and Ace continued walking along the streets of Millenia, sharing smiles and laughter as they looked around for any type of wild pokemon or something interesting for them to get themselves into. "I dont see anyth-..." Chloe began to say until she was cut off as she found herself falling toward the ground. "Ahh. Ouch!" She said as she plummeted to the ground. Ace was able to scurry out of the way before Chloe was able to crush him with her body. Chloe's eyes went from the small scrape of her elbow to that of a giant purple snake staring into her eyes. Chloe absolutely hated snakes. If there was one thing she was ever going to be afraid of, it was a snake. Well, and spiders. Which in a way made so since considering the similarities of Ace and a spider. But that's a whole different story. Chloe began to cringe as the large serpent stared into her eyes. That is until her eye contact was broken by some man screaming in her ear. "Ayy! What you doin' steppin' all over my Ekans like that!" the man shouted. Chloe blanked out as she found herself in disbelief by all of this. After all it was an accident, and this man was THAT mad? "Ekans go, Poison Sting!" the man said shouting again. Just then Chloe found herself transition to battle mode. At the thought of her or Ace getting harmed, something inside of her ignited and she began to shout out commands for little Ace. She just helped he could handle it in his first REAL battle. "Ace, Focus your defense and then use Bubble on Ekans!" |

Overlord of Trains - GRUNTY GRUNTY GRUNTY GRUNTY
|
Such an interesting predicament. You accidentally step on an Ekan's tail, and it's supposed trainer overreacts. You didn't even have a chance to say anything. He seemed to come off as the rash, hardheaded type that jumps to conclusions. Seems like all trainers nowadays are like that. I blame television. Anyway, onto the ref you so desire. Surskit started off first, focusing itself to increase it's defense. It was successful, but Ekans managed to hit it, unleashing it's fury in the form of poisonous barbs. It caused a bit of damage to Surskit, but luckily the bug type wasn't poisoned. Before Surskit had a chance to attack, Ekans put it's ability to use, giving Surskit an evil glare that could make the bravest of Pokémon scream like little girls. Effectively lowering it's attack, Surskit managed to go with it's ability, spitting out multiple bubbles in the wide area, dealing damage to Ekans. But wait, what's this? There was an added effect! Ekan's speed was effectively lowered. "What?! First you step on my Ekans and now you're attacking it? You jerk!" The guy yelled at you. Wow, he has some nerve. You accidentally step on his Ekans, then he attacks you. Now he insults you for fighting back? People these days. Chloe couldn't believe the fact that she was in her first battle on her very own actual Pokemon adventure. Nothing could hide her excitement, well almost nothing. As several small poisonous barbs smashed into her Surskit, her excitement start to change. And the intimidation of the Ekans was a little too much. Perhaps she should have thought twice about battling this Ekans as her first. Oh well, there was nothing she could do now. Well, nothing but win that is. Chloe's nerves started to rest a little as Ace spit out a school of bubbles at Ekans, both hurting him and lowering his speed. "I'm so proud of you Ace. I know you can win this!" Chloe shouted, hoping her support could help her bug pokemon. "What?! First you step on my Ekans and now you're attacking it? You jerk!" The man shouted at Chloe as she readied herself to shout out her attacks. "Me? Your the jerk you big bully!" Chloe shouted back, now furious at the man. Chloe took a step back and tried to calm herself before her mood took another drastic change. The battle had only just begun, she couldn't allow herself to get out of control and end up losing. It was already hard enough battling an Ekans with a Surskit that only knew Bubble and a few Global Attacks. This sure would test Chloe on her skills as a trainer. "This guy sure is a jerk, and so is his Ekans," Chloe said to herself and Surskit. "Lets really teach him a lesson, what do you say Ace?" Chloe said with a small grin. "Use a Focus, this time to raise your Attack. Once you feel your attack raise, attack with a full force Strike attack," |

Don't stress, your first battle is always the hardest. Well, that's what I've heard anyway. Whatever the case, you’re not giving up without a good fight, so let’s get to it. Ekans let out a horrifying hiss, before spitting out many little poison barbs once again at Surskit. Surskit having seen this move before let out its own little battle cry before dodging out of way. Once in a safe area, the small blue Pokémon looked back at you with a smile, well, if Surskit can smile. "Come on Ekans, smash that pip squeak!" The trainer shouted out in frustration at his Pokémon’s miss. Ekans began to slither slowly toward Ace, and that’s when you shouted out your commands. "Use a Focus, this time to raise your Attack. Once you feel your attack raise, attack with a full force Strike attack," As Ekans was slithering toward Surskit with large eyes. Whatever the snake had planned, it wasn't going to be good for you. With Ekans closing in, Ace began to focus his attack. The bug could feel his power rise as well as his confidence as he put his second move to the test. Ace awaited Ekans until the snake was only a few inches away, and then sped off and struck the snake right in the face for a successful attack! Ekans however didn't like this very much and retaliated with his own Strike attack! The battle was starting to heat up, but it was still anybodies battle. You better think of a good strategy to give you the upper hand, or this could become a very difficult battle. The battle continued to rage on, and with each passing second Chloe found herself becoming more and more like a pokemon trainer. "Come on Ace!" she shouted with her blue eyes looking large and sharp into the eyes of her opponent. She was so into this battle, she was even becoming more intimidating, or at least she was trying to be. With the battle heating up, the pokemon were still neck and neck with each other. "Ace, your going to have to give it all you got!" Chloe shouted trying to encourage her tiny blue bug pokemon to take the lead in this battle. The battle was way too close for Chloe, she had to do something. Trying to think of a plan, she thought up all of the combos she had watched on T.V and read in books before starting her journey. It would have helped if she would have been more serious about training when she was younger. With not much else she could do with such limited attacks, Chloe tried to put something together. "Ace, start with a Focus for your attack again. Next finish your turn with a Bubble!" Chloe commanded. |

In My Little White Room Again
|
Ah, it seems as if you had entered a deadlock here in your first battle. Same leveled Pokemon, each having the same amount of health remaining, and both of them had almost the same amount of energy left. Indeed, quite a deadlock it is. Hm, I have an idea! How about we change things up and actually do some damage here! I think you would agree, would you not? So let’s get started shall we~ Ace’s little round eyes narrowed upon hearing your supportive words. With his small heart filled with your loving and encouraging words, his mind and body immediately went into action. The little critter closed his eyes, focusing on his attack power, and then in a flash his eyes burst open. “Go Ekans, use Strike again on that stupid little insect!” the other trainer yelled at his partner. Despite being slowed down a bit, the snake quickly squirmed his way over to your little Ace, readying himself to attack. He raised his neck and head, making himself be almost the same height as Ace, and let out a menacing hiss. Just then though, at almost point blank range, your Sirskit released a string of bubbles in the Ekans face. Despite the attack not being one that was very powerful, it did manage to do quite a bit of damage to the Ekans. Pain searing through his face, the snake backed away, wanting to tend to his aching face rather than attack his enemy like his master had commanded. “Come on! Oi Ekans do something!” his trainer yelled at him, trying to get his attention away from his soar face and focus on the battle at hand. The snake looked up to his trainer blankly, realizing how bad he had screwed up. He turned back to Ace, seriously pissed off, and gave him one hell of an Intimidate attack. Well he did manage to do something, though you pretty much made it through this round unscathed. But since he did use Intimidate on you, your attack was no longer boosted from your previous use of Focus. So, how will you cope, new trainer?

Chloe began to smile as Ace took a small lead in the battle. She couldn't help but be proud of how hard her little Surskit was trying in this battle. Ace was already at a size disadvantage, and most likely a strength disadvantage as well, and was still managing to somehow be winning in this battle. The battle however was far from over and Chloe couldn't rest yet. She had to keep the attacks coming. "Ace, this is great. Your such a strong pokemon!" She called out to Ace. Ace looked back with joy for making his trainer so proud. He knew he couldn't turn his back for too long though and turned back with serious eyes, showing that he wasn't going to back down from the intimidation of the snake. "Alright Ace, lets start this round off with a Bubble. After the Bubble, follow the bubbles and when you get close enough, Strike Ekans. Hopefully you'll catch him off guard and do some extra damage," Chloe commanded to her Surskit. This was the first time she actually had a plan and she was hoping to make it count. Chloe then looked down at he Poketech that was stretched around her wrist. She remembered her friend Kristy telling her about the Zaroff Lottery before she left for her journey. Supposedly all you do is pick numbers and if they get picked, you can win anything from money to a pokemon. And the best thing was you could be any age to enter. Having only one pokemon and wanting to test the Lottery, Chloe entered some numbers buying 3 tickets. "Let's test our luck Ace," She said looking up with a grin. |

So this battle has you so bored your resorting to gambling? Not that the Lottery is bad or anything, in fact I've gotten most my Pokémon from the Lottery in some way. Well good luck, but just in case lets see if I can speed this battle up a little for you. Following your motivational statement you seemed to tell your little Ace after every round, you actually thought up a plan to give you more of an advantage in this battle. To be honest, the best way to win a battle on Alternia is probably strategy. Be careful though, because if you try to do too much it will backfire. However, I need to try to stop giving advice and just get to the ref so let’s see how your little plan does in reality. You called out your commands and Ace moved his yellow antennae on the top of his round blue head to acknowledge that he understood your orders. For your first actual strategy, it was a rather easy one which was a good thing. In the mean time, your opponent was thinking up his own strategy. The guy decided that he needed to have Ekans use something than his basic Strike attack, and yelled out orders of his own. "Ekans, we are falling behind in this battle, but not for long!" He yelled out with an intense grin on his face. "Ekans, Leer and then Poison Sting!" With both Pokémon’s orders given, they were off. Ekans quickly tried to jump ahead with a Leer attack, but the determination of the Pond Skater Pokémon was too much and the move was ineffective. Realizing this, Ekans tried to transition himself to shoot out his Poison Sting. The purple snake began to stretch into the air with his head tilted back, ready to spit out the multiple poisonous barbs. Surskit on the other hand was already releasing her Bubble attack, which frightened Ekans and caused him to spit his Poison Sting at the bubbles floating his way. The barbs took out a few bubbles, but plenty of them still made it through. This Ekans was decently trained however and wasn't fazed by the bubbles and tried to look through them to lock on to Surskit and still hit him with a barb or two. Peering through the clear round bubbles, Surskit's reflection could be seen in a few of the bubbles, causing Ekans to spit the rest of his Poison Sting. With Ekans never really seeing the bug Pokémon though, all of the barbs missed and left Ekans wide open for Surskit to quickly appear behind the group of bubbles and Strike him for a Critical Hit. If that wasn't enough for you, a few bubbles also still hit the snake doing an extra bit of damage. Well, you somehow managed to get out of this round untouched for a second time in a row. You also did some good damage this round, and now have Ekans right where you want him. His trainer looks really angered now though, so be careful. Either way, great round.

“Yay!” Chloe shouted jumping up in the air like a cheerleader. She finally got the results she was looking for and was ready to put the finishing touches on this Ekans. Ace was also feel a lot better after the last round and turned to look at his trainer looking a lot more cheerful. Ekans and his Trainer however, was a much different story. ”Ace, I am so proud of you. Let’s end this thing!” Chloe shouted trying to think of another good plan to end this battle. Looking at how much damage was done to Ekans the past round, she was hoping to finish the battle this round, or at least the next one. Either way, she needed anther great effort by her Surskit. Just as Chloe was about to yell out her commands, her Poketech began to beep on her wrist and flash. Concerned, Chloe looked down at the device and found a couple messages. One was from the Lottery, confirming that she had won her choice of a common pokemon or $150! This was perfect for her and she wasted no time typing in her choice, a female Cherubi. She looked up at her opponent for a moment and then back down at her Poketech and opened the next message. It was an update on the large battle going on in the Forest of Legends. ”I’ll just have to read this later,” Chloe said closing her Poketech and looking back up at the battle. Besides, if she cared that much she would have answered the call and joined the other trainers, despite only having one pokemon. Realizing she wasted precious time, Chloe wasted no time and commanded her little Ace with his next moves. ”Ace, Focus your speed and then race over to Ekans and Strike him. Next speed back away from Ekans and give him another Bubble attack!” Chloe said hoping to knock out Ekans and his evil trainer. Edited by Chlo_Mo, Mar 8 2010, 09:58 PM.

So you are choosing to end this battle with a Three Move Combo? Thats pretty cool I'll give you that. Your poketech bleeped, signalling Cherubi would be placed in your PC for you to collect. That's fine isn't it? You have to go to a pokemon center heal Surskit after this battle anyway so it's not like you'll be going out of your way. Now then onto the battle at hand. I suppose you think you did pretty well with that order of yours. Surskit raised it's speed sure and went flying towards the Ekans at great speed to hit hard with the Strike attack...but the trainer was ready. As Surskit got close the trainer gave a pretty nasty order of his own. "Ekans, Poison Sting...NOW!!" Ekans fired a series of poison coated barbs, hitting more Surskit pretty hard. The brave bug pokemon battled through nonetheless and hit with Strike, doing as much as it could. But it had been under the Poison Sting fire for too long. As a result a nasty virus had entered Surskit's body and caused a deadly poison to run through his veins. If this battle didn't end soon, Surskit would pass out, no doubt about it. Retreating back Surskit fired a Bubble, but Ekans dodged at the last minute. Looks like the battle isn't over...huh...maybe next round. Watch out for Surskit's health. With the last round not going completely as expected, Chloe thought carefully for a good plan to end this round. It was very clear that Ekans was close to fainting, all she had to do was land an attack or two. But what attack could she use to make sure it would hit? Whatever she chose, it was going to have to work because now Surskit was poisoned. "My poor little Ace," Chloe said to herself as she watched the poison sink into the small blue pokemon. She couldn't stand seeing her pokemon like this, it was enough to make her sick. "Ace, hang in there. Ekan's is almost out, we just have to make this round count and then I can get you to a Pokemon Center!" Chloe called out with a bit of a concerned tone. Chloe stared deep into the eyes of her opponent. He timed that last Poison Sting so well, it had Chloe all scrambled in thinking up an attack this round. How did she not see that coming? She started to run her hands through her dark hair, before finally calling out an attack. "Ace, Bubble!" she shouted quickly. It was hard not having very many attacks to chose from, but in her opinion she wasn't doing to bad considering this was her first real battle. "If that doesn't finish him and he comes at you, use your boosted speed to dodge and then finish his with a Strike!" Chloe finished. Edited by Chlo_Mo, Mar 15 2010, 01:06 AM.

Well, it was now time for you to take action against this brat. He sure was being a meanie bo beany, in my little sister's words. He just completely came at you and you defended yourself, he was, all in all, a jerk. Well, we all have those people in our lives, right? The jerks that have nothing better to do with their lives than to make other people squirm under their shoe...ugh those people make me absolutely sick! Anyways, lets get onto beating this little sucker, shall we? Ace felt the poison flowing through his veins, but he wouldn't give up, oh no, that little Surskit was just angry now, and he wanted his revenge, which he would get, hopefully. The kid just smirked and said, "Heh! You're a chump! You can't seriously think my awesome Pokemon is going to lose to your wimpy one, do ya?" he said, obviously not paying much attention to how bad his Ekans was hurt. The little snake (hehe...snake...ekans...psh, I've always loved how it's snake backwards. >.> Anyways. XD How uncreative. =P) kept his head held high, he was just a bit woozy from the constant attacking from your Pokemon. "Ekans, go in for another poison sting!" the boy said smiling. But you had already told Ace what to do, and he was ready to do it, after getting passed the effects of his poison. He raced around to the side of the Ekans before that snake could even tell what had happened. Then he blasted a bubble attack at the face of his opponent. Oh, the victory! Suddenly, after the bubbles cleared, Ekans instantaneously fell backward to the ground, not even being able to move his head up again. He had fainted. The kids face was in utter disappointment and surprise. "WHAT THE CRAP!? HOW DID YOU DO THAT!? OH MY GOSH! YOU ARE SUCH A FRICKIN' PANSY EKANS!!! UGH!" he yelled, first at you, then at his snake. The two sure didn't seem to get along much obviously, if this is how he treated his Pokemon, than he wasn't fit to be a trainer at all. He just recalled the snake and then huffed a bit, rather angrily he spit on the ground, turned around, and walked off. But he left something behind? Apparently in his fit of fury and anger, he dropped a Pokeball on the ground, it wasn't his Ekans though, you saw him put that in his pocket. It was something else, was it empty? Maybe...but it could have a Pokemon inside of it. But, if you picked it up and saw there was one, would you really give it back to a boy who was completely incompetent of caring for a single Pokemon. If I were in your position, I'd keep the Pokeball, empty or not, and never give it back to such a horrid person. But as of now, you had won the battle versus evil...I mean, battle versus that sucky dude! YAY! Congratulations! .: CONGRATULATIONS! :. You have defeated the enemy Ekans! Ace has gained 10 from the victory, leveling him up to 6 with 5 left over! You have received an empty Pokeball! Use it wisely. All of this has been entered into your profile! |

"Oh my gosh Ace, we just won our first battle!" Chloe screamed loudly as she jumped up and down in excitement. As her opponent began to shout in disappointment, Chloe was busy racing toward her little Surskit in extreme joy. "You are amazing Ace. Now to get you to a Pokemon Center," Chloe said as she looked around with a wide smile still on her face. As the bully kid finished his angry shouts Chloe apologized. She wasn't quite sure why she did though, but she felt bad considering how mad he was. Was that what it meant to be a real trainer? Are you suppose to get that into a battle and that mad when you lose? Chloe began to think about how much she still had to learn in the business of being a Pokemon Trainer. Oh well, she would study later. Right now she needed to find a pokemon center. Looking around, something caught the attention of Chloe and her blue eyes began to widen. Laying where the boy just was, was a pokeball. "I wonder if it's empty?" She said out loud to herself as Ace crawled up her body and onto her shoulder. Chloe was never the type to steal, but that boy was nothing but a bully, even to his own pokemon. And she did win the battle so whether it was empty or not, she deserved it. Chloe walked over and picked up the ball to find that it was empty. "At least I got something for winning," she smiled before latching it to her pokeball belt. She looked around once more for any sight of a pokemon center. Knowing she didn't have much time, she began walking in to direction her gut told her was best in finding a center. |

Well done! You have completed your first test as a Pokemon Trainer, the battle! Now it's time for you to heal up so you can continue on, which is always nice to be able to do, moving on I mean. You followed your instincts which led you to the Pokemon Center. It was a boring walk, but most are. You walked in, handed over your Pokemon to the Nurse, who smiled and walked into the back for a few moments. Within about three minutes, Surskit and Cherubi were all pumped up and ready to go out once again. The nurse just smiled and nodded as you left the center. Ah, the precious moments of peaceful Pokemon Centers, when no one is in any extreme rush or any pain at all and everything just seems to be quiet and serene. Those times were the best. Looking out about the town of Millenia, you could see other people with their Pokemon. It was so nice to see such a peaceful town and the people in it having the time of their lives. The sun was slowly getting lower and lower, soon to be going out completely. Your day wasn't over yet however, you still had at least six or seven hours before you should probably find shelter for the night, so this day was still ahead of you. Walking down the streets of Millenia, you noticed something a bit...off. Everything was so peaceful, but in one alleyway, there was some guy about the age of 24 or so, who seemed to be beating up on a younger man, about 18, who seemed quite defenseless. He kept yelling at him, smacking him upside the head, saying, "Where's the money, huh? The boss wants the money George. So, when are you gonna tell me where it is. I know you have it." The man, terrified and bleeding, kept saying, over and over, "I-I-I don't know! H-honestly! I-I just handed it off to Marley y-yesterday, he must know where it is!" The other man, dressed in black shook his head, threw the man on the ground and looked up to see you. "What are you lookin' at sweetheart? Why don'tcha get a move on, eh? Nothing to see here." Well, obviously there was a sight, but who knew, maybe this was just a personal struggle with some money that this 'boss' guy wants. A typical scene of gang violence or something. What would you do? Would you stand up to this man or would you leave this problem be and move on into maybe a more peaceful environment, like the forest, or a route of some sort. At least the guy didn't start to like, hit on you or try to take anything from you, he simply gave you the choice of what you would like to do. Either way is fine, but be prepared for some kind of battle if you're going to choose to defend this kid. (( I can turn this into a plot, or we can just leave this open. :] It's your choice. Whatever you wish to do, just tell me/others in the next post to the RRT. )) |
