We recently started letting people off of the Alternian Island and well, the outside areas are kinda lacking in shops and things to do. So we are going to host a competition and allow our members to make some shops and areas to help fill in the outside world a bit more. What can be made: Stores with Official Pokemon Items that we don't already sale. Stores with Custom Items that the members made. Places to work like the Pokemon Mansion on Alternia Island. Places with In Game events like Millenia's Battle Camp Prizes for these (Secret until we find something that fits =O) http://s1.zetaboards.com/Alternia/forum/953736/ <--The Other areas and what info we have available. Sorry if its not enough but please try to fit in the area's theme into your shops. http://s1.zetaboards.com/Alternia/topic/1345863/1/ <--A detailed map of the region, showing where everything is and how the surrounding areas are laid out. What we aren't accepting: Pokemon Safari Areas (Just no room yet and I think Shad had something planned before) Contest Halls (We have them just need to add them) TM shops (Already being worked on) Apricorn Shops (We have just not added yet) There is no closing date. We will close when we feel we have enough shops and other areas added. We will be adding as we see thing that fit or are well liked. This is not a discussion thread so do not post unless you are making an entry. Also please be as descriptive about the Store, the Owner, and the merchandise as you can. One shop per post. ^So Sora can see and stop doing stupid things. -.- I said MY MISTAKE, SORREH -.- ~Sora Also slight edit I will be posting remarks the posts hence why it is supposed to be one shop per post. This way we can see how you changed and compare altered to original. If you get a dividing line in your post after one of my comments with a gold comment below then I'm asking you to fix something and need you to COPY and EDIT the post BELOW the line and Gold Text so I can compare Original Idea with edited work. Leave everything above the dividing line alone. Edited by Sora, Dec 22 2009, 12:16 AM.

For Des Irt Island, specifically Deramus: --Sandstorm Training Grounds ---This area is continuously buffeted by Sandstorms, making a great area for Steel and Ground types to train. Only those that are not affected by a sandstorm, not including Pokemon who use their abilities to affect the weather, can join into the fray. Trainers enter for one day, and battle trainers that are around their own level of abilities to see who wins. Experience is calculated and each Pokemon is healed at the end of the Battle. The winner of ten straight battles will win a fabulous prize (TM: Sandstorm) For Zaroff Island, the marshes: -Bug Catching Contest --In the swampy areas of the marsh are several bug-typed Pokemon. A trainer may join the contest at any time, and has until 5 PM on that day to capture their bug-typed Pokemon. This Pokemon will be entered at 5PM, and at 6, the results will be announced. First Place Winners receive their choice of a bug-typed item, a net, AND the Pokemon that they caught. Second Place Winners receive a net AND the Pokemon that they caught. Third Place Winners receive the Pokemon that they caught. All other participants win a ribbon for participating. 20 Pokeballs will be given to the trainer upon entering and they must return them all at the end of the day. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification and a fine equal to the amount of Pokeballs stolen, along with the inability to participate in the contest ever again. Trainers may choose to keep the Pokemon that they have caught if they did not win by submitting a $100 fee to the contest Judges. I don't know why Sora combined these when it says one shop per post in the original thread. I'll yell at him later. Anyway. I like both of these idea. For the bug one though: What does the Net do? What kinda Ribbon? Be more specific for the Item. We can Change pokeball to a Special ball just for this event. You'll need to make info for it. For the Theft, They should also reclaim the Pokeballs so that the trainer knows the severity of the crime. Anything asked to be changed please repost with changes under this line. Edited Bug version: For Zaroff Island, the marshes: -Bug Catching Contest --In the swampy areas of the marsh are several bug-typed Pokemon. Furthermore, all objects stolen will be reclaimed, including prizes they may have won. Trainers may choose to keep the Pokemon that they have caught if they did not win by submitting a $100 fee to the contest Judges. There is a $20.00 Entrance Fee. Net: Just like Bugsy's capture net, this net has a Pokeball on it that allows for the trainer to capture any Pokemon that is in the net. The net has the same effectiveness as the Bug Balls given out during the event. Ribbon: The Ribbon is a purely commemorative item and also allows access back into the Bug Catching Contest without having to pay an entrance fee. Bug Ball: The bug ball has the same effectiveness on non-bug types as a regular Pokeball, but for bug-types, it increases the effectiveness to that of an Ultra Ball for pure bugs, and a Great Ball for half-bug types. The ball is green on top and white on bottom, with a comprehensive webbing and net design around the top. First Place Bug-Typed Item: Silver Powder or Bug Dust. --Bug Dust: Increases one stat of a Bug-Type Pokemon by 5 points. Note: Bug Balls can be purchases at the front desk for $45 each. The Greatest Thief of All
|
Zed Zadowzki's Crazy Houze of Mazez Location: Peddleton or Shimo City Growing up, Zed Zadowzki always loved three things: building mazes, riddles, and alliteration. His lack of profitable skills and general lack of people skills made him a disappointment to his wealthy family; he was a disgraceful heir. So, when his parents passed on, the control of their businesses were shifted to a trusted butler, while their quaint home was given to the unfortunate Zed. But Zed - who, again, had little interest in markets and business - was overjoyed. Immediately, he used his incredible fortune to fulfill his dreams: bring his mazes to the world, for all to enjoy, and to spread the fruits of his wealth to those who shared his passion for puzzles. In this winding and wild house of many mazes, Trainers can test their minds and their luck in their attempts to navigate from start to finish. With every attempt to circumvent this wacky creation of Mr. Zadowzki, the materials and composition of the maze may change. One day, it may be invisible walls of force, with a clear look at the end but no way of knowing how to get there. The next, it may be fishtanks, or bamboo, or maybe even steel sheets. Perhaps even series of conveyor belts, taking those who attempt the maze in a winding area To anyone who can reach Zed at the end, past his silly traps, sillier mazes, and the might of their fellow trainers, they face a formidable foe - if they can solve his riddles, Mr. Zadowski will grace them with a battle. Should they defeat his crazy creatures (almost always made up of silly psychics), the mazter of mazez will give that hero the ability to make his own barriers! Reward: Some amount of money ($500?), TM16/TM17/TM33 (Light Screen/Protect/Reflect), anything you can find in Mr. Zadowzki's crazy mazes! Essentially the concept is a resurrection of the Riddler contests we had a while back, and a little fun with mazes (as with gyms like Koga's or Pryce's). The Eternal Explorer Location: Oaksdale/Gatsby Research Facility, Zaroff Island A small, but noteworthy shop in Oaksdale, created recently as a culmination of the local's efforts to build up the tiny village and the influx of young trainers hired by Professor Gatsby. Featuring the largest collection of tools in all of Alternia, the Eternal Explorer imports valuable exploration tools from other, more prominent stores (such as Adventure Island in Kijutsu and Happy Camper's in Nogou) and collects them in one spot - at a higher price, of course. With the wild expanse and incredible scenery of Zaroff Island, their "Explorer's Pack" is necessary to any up-and-comer hoping to make his impact on the world. The Eternal Explorer's inventory: Spoiler: click to toggle Mindy, Mork, and Gork's Battle Boosters Location: Onu-Koru, Des Irt Island This store was formed by the ruff-and-tough brothers of Onu-Koru, Mork and Gork, after they had an incredible idea. "Heyz, yuz knows what wuld be a good idea? If we culd make Pokermens strongers by givin' dem items! Like, we culd find 'em in da tunnels or somethin'." Unfortunately for Mork and Gork, they were neither inventors or even the first to think of an idea. What they did have, however, was an incredible disregard for the law and a whole lot of brute strength. Upon finding that there was such a business across the island, in Deramus, Mork and Gork were quick to break into the establishment, steal their entire stock, and slip back into the tunnels to Onu Koru, selling the items at wholesale prices. The brothers hoped to make a quick buck, and had no real idea of keeping up such a business. However, Mindy - a well off trainer who rebelled from her parents, taking a large sum of money with her in the process - saw the potential wealth in their business. Making her investment (and providing a similar inventory of Pokemon-enhancing items), the young woman quickly grabbed a piece of the pie, and formed a merger with "Mork and Gork's Items and Stuff." With her financial know-how, Mindy took Mork and Gork's idea, created a balanced influx of imported items, and formed one of the most successful stores in Alternia. The large stone building is among one of the greatest attractions and helpful stores in all of Onu-Koru, bringing welcome competition in a city that thrives off battle. Mork and Gork's Inventory: Spoiler: click to toggle Mindy's Inventory: Spoiler: click to toggle (prices obviously interim and to be decided on later) Can't really see the first one fitting, but if the other Admins can then we may add it. I DO like the second two though. I'll talk it over with the Admins about the prices, but the other two seem good enough. If you make any changes please repost the edited version under this line. Doing this for comparison purposes. The Eternal Explorer Spoiler: click to toggle Added more to inventory. Edited by Arsene Lupin III, Dec 22 2009, 01:23 AM.

Starlight Hotel Location: For any Island, but mostly Shimo Fees:Spa-$100 raises pokemon's happiness slightly, Deluxe spa-$300 greatly increases pokemon's happiness, Hotel room-$50 fully heals all pokemon and passes a day if you choose to sleep, $50 minimum starting bet A large hotel with tons of rooms. It provides free food for both pokemon and Trainers who stay there. Also has spa and bathing services for the weary travelers. The main features though is the unlimited amount of trainers gathered around and ready to battle. Here trainers can bet their own items, pokemon, etc on NPC/Charater battles. Winner takes all. There is no limit to the number of times people may battle here and there is also no limit to what you may bet. Raise the stakes and go for it! Chill by the pool and watch some poor sap lose the shirt on his back as he is crushed into the ground! For joy! Hotel also provides trainers who want a surprising, evener fight with rental random pokemon. Occasionally battle tournaments are held where the winner takes home the grand prize: All of the entrance fees that people payed to get into the contest With Lollipop implemented there is no Happiness System so half of this idea doesn't work. If its just for members to stay and have high chances for battles then ok, but if for happiness then its prolly a No go. If you make any changes, copy and post it under this line. Location: Miracu City, Miracu Island Entrance Fee: $50 Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age[the character] to enter and must have a full team, 6 pokemon, each lvl 10 or higher to try and win grand prize. Welcome one and all to Haunter's manor, the number one haunted house in Alternia region. Hundreds flock to it's isolated location, 6 long miles outside Miracu City, to face the terrible secrets that lay inside. Equipped with a Silph Scope, travelers beware as you treverse through 5 floors of fear as ghost pokemon, realistic sets, awesome special effects, and live actors 'persuade' you to turn back. Only the bravest will make it through and accept their reward. Will you be one of the few or fall victim to the undead? There are two awards to be won at Haunter's manor. The first reward is given for those who make it through all five floors. They will receive their eqipped Silph Scope, a spell tag, and none other than a their very own Shuppet Egg! The second it the most pretegious. Upon reaching each new floor they, the traveler must search for a secret room where a pokemon awaits to battle. If they win each battle, the victor will receive a key. Collect all five keys and make it to the end to get the first prize as well as a $1500 cash prize and TM30 Shadow Ball! Few have succeded the first task and even fewer had managed the second. Come to Haunter's Mansion and defeat your deepest fears, or be defeated. Prizes Spoiler: click to toggle This is very interesting. Only issue is how to make it to where the member can pass or fail because anyone RPing can just completely ignore fear or overcome it with very little resistance. This is a very iffy thing because of the difficulty in making a fair way for everyone to have equal opportunity in here. So Questions and Maps won't work leaving each floor layout up to the mod. Still brings up the lack of fear system. If this is accepted we will come to you on how to better incorporate this into the RP. Edited by Snow, Dec 21 2009, 08:19 PM.

Underground Arena Location: Onu-Koru A large, stone battling arena for trainers to battle in front of crowds. It can seat many people, and the overall layout is similar to that of the ancient Colosseum in Rome. Trainers can choose to enter small tournaments held within it, each tournament having a special property and different rank of difficulty. Rank of difficulty determines how hard the tournament is, of course, and what level of prizes should be awarded. Prizes range from small items, to Pokemon give aways and monetary winnings, given the size of the event. The terrain can be set to almost anything, thanks to technologies beneath the field. This way, not only can any Pokemon be suited, but special fields can be used to make battling all the more interesting. Trainers can also bring their friends and make a tournament of their own, or just battle each other. With the choices of Terrain and the PvP options, Single or Double battle is selectable, of course. PvP battles are just for fun, though if the crowd deems the battle spectacular enough, a secret prize may be given to the winner. Types of Tournaments:

Nursery of the Clouds Location: Any island you feel fits Fees: $1000 for an instant egg hatch, $100 per day to have them egg-sit your egg. (prices up for modification) It is located in a semi-small building with wallpaper obviously made for small children and babies, there are toys everywhere. This place is a special place for all breeders. It isn't just a daycare, its an egg-care! When trainers spend their time here, eggs tend to hatch quite quickly. There is an incubator in the back and at least ten cribs. This daycare was designed just for hatching eggs. Not only does this nursery make your eggs hatch faster, but the employees here are trained to help the pokemon in the eggs become stronger sometimes, and they can usually tell you with a high accuracy rate, which pokemon is in the egg. Nursery of the Clouds is a breeder's heaven. Nursery of the Clouds is owned by an elderly Joy and her twenty year old daughter, who has a darker shade of pink hair. They of course have chansey and blissey running around doing what they can to help, mostly taking care of the newly hatched pokemon babies. Since it is listed that they can accurately identify unknown eggs, there should be a price for that. I don't think Insta hatch should be an option, but the use of their Egg Incubators would be a good thing. You'd still have to leave them for so many posts or battles to make up for it. Also There should be a daycare cost for if they have to take care of the newborn as well. It may be a hatchery, but it is still a daycare. Please Post the changed version below this line and text. Nursery of the Clouds Location: Any island you feel fits Fees: $200 to have them egg-sit your egg and newly hatched pokemon (This will at least double how fast the egg grows which halves the posts it take for it to hatch). $300 for one egg inspection (Tells the pokemon's species, gender, and known egg moves it will hatch with) It is located in a semi-small building with wallpaper obviously made for small children and babies, there are toys everywhere. The Miracu Aquarium Location - Miracu Island, located by the waterfalls. The Miracu Aquarium is located in one of the many rivers in Miracu Island. There are two long bridges that connect the Aquarium from the opposite sides of land, making it easy for people to enter it. It's close to the waterfall for the view. Inside the Miracu Aquarium is a large tank that holds Pokemon for viewers only. Mainly to hold rare or hard to obtain Pokemon. Upon entering the Aquarium, people are forced to walk through metal scanners and be searched of anything that can give them an advantage of catching a Pokemon. If a person is free and clear, they're free to either look at the Pokemon or go to the Rod Booth and borrow a type of Rod for a fee. The fees are listed above, but there's another booth called the bait booth. When a person has bought a Rod to borrow and some bait, they are required to leave their Pokemon in either their PC or in a locker. Trainers are not allowed any kind of advantage when trying to catch a Pokemon. Any Trainer caught with a Pokemon or illegal item(s) will be thrown into the river and be sent down the waterfall (Kidding of course.) Rods Spoiler: click to toggle Bait Prices Spoiler: click to toggle Descriptions of how Bait works Worms Worms are basic kinds of bait. Players are able to catch Pokemon with it, but a Mod will decide which Pokemon and how strong it will be. For example, with Worms, let's say you catch a Magikarp. Since Worms are used for lower-end Pokemon, it should be around level 1-6. Small Magikarp Lure The Small Magikarp Lure is a lure in the shape of a Magikarp, rougly the size of a baseball. The Small Magikarp Lure is able to catch better Pokemon, but will catch Pokemon at around the same level as Worms would. Goldeen Lure A lure in the shape of a full sized Goldeen. Has a better chance of catching fish to the Player's wanting. Seel Lure A lure in the shape of a Seel. Carnivorous Pokemon are attracted to these, others... not so much. Luvdisc Lure The heart shaped lure attracts a lot of Pokemon for some strange reason. With this lure you can capture rare Pokemon or Pokemon in their evolved form. But just because you bought a Luvdisc lure, does not mean you're going to catch a Lapras or Mudkip. Other fish will be attracted to the lure and a Mod will determine if a Person is worthy enough for the spawn. Edited by Sheik, Dec 22 2009, 05:19 PM.

Miracu Island of Mirages Location: Alpha Island, Omega Island and Centauri Island From since forever, it has been known (at least by locals) that each island harbors a statue, each facing the main island of Miracu. If any visitor were to ask the locals, they would tell the story of an elemental trio that once inhabited the three islands, whom inhabited the three islands and, were so strong that they each grew beyond the normal size and power of their kin, each becoming the ruler of their respective islands. These Pokemons were a Muk, a Donphan and a Sunflora. It is said that each wants to expand their own territory, but every time they try to move against another island, the third of the rulers would come and the fight would always escalate into a three way free for all. However, due to the type advantages against each other not unlike of the starting trios, they counteract each other and hence the fights never go anywhere - except managing to destroy the surroundings. At first, the destruction was small, and the inhabitants of Miracu Island did not care much, but as time goes by and the trio becomes stronger and stronger until the locals can't do anything but care. And care a lot they did. Deciding to end the quarrel of the trio once and for all, the islanders decided to create three special spherical Pokeball-like cages - made of a huge amount of apricorns to imprison the trio, in hopes of locking away the three for as long as possible. However, to make sure that 'as long as possible' really would last for as long as possible, they decided to place the three cages inside three different obelisks, planting them in each of the islands where the respective Pokemons once ruled. Each obelisk has a symbol on it, representing the Pokemon sealed inside. The obelisk on Alpha Island harbors a symbol, the one on Omega Island has a symbol, whilst the Centauri Island obelisk has a symbol.Of course, this is the story that the locals have told and passed on since forever - besides them, no one know for sure if they're right or not. Though it is thanks to them that people actually learn of what's special about the obelisks. Any person can actually challenge the obelisks to a battle - yes, actually just stand in front of the obelisks and shout 'I challenge you to a battle'. The rules are simply enough - for each of the obelisk, one must challenge them with a Pokemon that has a type disadvantage to the type symbolized. A mirage Pokemon would emerge from the the obelisk and fight against the challenger's Pokemon. The challenger would need to defeat the obelisks one by one, gaining a prize at the end. According to the locals, the Pokemon locked inside are always eager for a fight, and hence would accept any challenge - provided they have the upper hand, and since the three has a special bond with each other, they have some kind of collective consciousness and since they value the one who could defeat all three of their representatives with type handicaps - they decide to award the challenger with part of their power themselves - or so, of course, as legend goes. But whether the story behind it is true or not, the challenge and the prizes are very, very real. One can challenge the obelisks, and each will summon a mirage Pokemon in one of three ways - the poison obelisk will ooze out a purple blob, which will form into a purple-colored pure-poison type Pokemon of equal level to the Pokemon challenging it, whilst branches and leaves will grow out of the grass obelisk when challenged, forming a random green-colored pure-grass type Pokemon, as for the ground obelisk, soil and dirt would spill out of the bottom of the obelisk, creating a brown-colored pure-ground type Pokemon from it. The battle would go on until one side wins - either way, the mirage Pokemon would just fade into nothingness after the battle. Once the challenger manages to defeat the three obelisks, they would gain a prize, depending on what the last obelisk is - a TM 06 oozing out of the poison obelisk, a TM 28 growing out of the ground near the ground obelisk, or a TM 86 growing out of the grass obelisk. Rules: ~The challenger must use a Pokemon with a type disadvantage (defensively) to battle the obelisk mirage Pokemons. i.e. a poison type against the poison obelisk, for example. ~The challenger will gain the respective type TM of the last obelisk battled, so they should plan what obelisk to tackle and when carefully. ~The challenger can do the challenge as many times as they want, though they can't use Pokemons that the have previously used, to gain multiple prizes. ~The mirage Pokemon appearing will be five levels above the challenger's choice Pokemon. Note: They can't change the order, once they have defeated one obelisk, until they defeat all three. So if one decides to challenge and manage to defeat the ground obelisk, then they must proceed to the grass or the poison. If they choose poison, then the last obelisk is grass, and vice versa. However, once they defeat all three, the process can begin again. Other wise, nothing will happen when the obelisk gets challenged. That's my suggestion, though the wording may be a bit long-winded. Haven't revised it.

Miracu Catching Challenge Main island of Miracu On the main island of Miracu, not far from the City, lies a building named the Miracu Catching Challenge Center, or the MCCC for short. The building itself is not very large, but the challenge it holds is on a rather big scale. As the name suggests, it's a pokemon catching challenge. To put themselves forward, a trainer must simply make their way to the counter located inside the building and pay a small $20. They will then be handed a piece of paper listing the pokemon they must catch. However, to make it more of a challenge, the trainer will have a time limit of 6 refs. After entering, the trainer will be handed 5 special MCCballs that will automatically capture pokemon that are on the list of the trainer. Thus, the main challenge of the MCC is to actually find and locate the pokemon, rather than battling them. However, it is still possible for pokemon still strong and filled with energy to dodge and perhaps even destroy the relatively delicate hi-tec MCCballs, so the trainer will have to be cautious. Once a pokemon is caught in a MCCball, they cannot be used for battling other pokemon and will not count as part of the party. The list will contain 5 pokemon, normally with each one belonging to a different habitat. 4 of them will be common pokemon, and the 5th an uncommon pokemon. Due to the many varied terrains of Miracu though, they should all be able to be caught on the island. Once a trainer has either caught all 5 pokemon, retired or reached their time limit, they should make their way back to the MCCC. There, they will return any pokemon they have caught and any unused MCCballs. If entitled to one, they will also receive their prize. Prizes Rules

KC's Kecleon Custom Colors Location: Shimo City, Byayuki Island KC spent a small fourtune exploring what allowed Kecleons to change color. The simple answer is that they have pigment layers under their skin, and as the pigments dialate, they create new colors. With even more money, he found a way to introduce these pigments into the meletonin of other pokemon, thus altering their current colors. This process is complicated, but involves his pattented "Chromo-retrovirus." Now for a fee of $500, you can change the color of your pokemon by one step on a color wheel. KC's ads show a Pikachu being transformed from yellow to green with one treatment. Then from green to blue with a second. "Imagine the world in color."
