Taking the call to arms in defense of Nogou, you find yourself on the out skirts of the town. Ahead pf you lies the Forest of legends. You can see many tiny eyes as others that took the call also start to appear, each person spaced out too far away to aid you in your battle. Suddenly a loud roar could be heard and many figures spring from the dark shadows of the forest. This was the first wave. Attacks could be heard all over as battles started all around.

Your battle for the first wave off attacks seems moderately easy. Three Pokemon emerged from the forest all ready to do battle and take their wrath out on the humans. Prepare yourself for the battle that lies ahead. Your actions need to be precise and your Judgment needs to be accurate.

Battle Field:
A large plain like area that is caught between Nogou and the Forest of Legends. Few trees litter the area, but not enough for effective cover.

First Wave:

Alternia's Old Man
Mezmonov stood in a wide field. The corn had just been reaped, leaving stocks plowed into the ground. The terrain was a little rough, but mostly level. The mud wasn’t entirely pleasant either, but his work boots could handle the terrain. He wondered if his pokemon could handle it.

Ahead of him, the Forrest of Legends loomed. It’s great, thick greenery was turning orange and yellow. Autumn was fast approaching. From the woods, loud roars could be heard. This was the reason Mezmonov was here. The police had asked all trainers to protect the city. Mezmonov was glad to help.

From the woods, a Natu, Kecleon, and Aipom appeared.

Mezmonov needed to think ahead. What combination of pokemon would be to his advantage? He started by throwing out his Cthooloo, Lovecraft.

“Lovecraft, use Hydro Pump on the Kecleon!” Those little lizards had an interesting ability, they changed types based on what they were being attacked with. “When it changes into a Water Type, then hit it with and Absorb for maximum damage.” Everyone knew that in the game of “Paper-Rock-Scissors” that was pokemon, Grass easily overpowered Water. Plus, it would set Lovecraft up for another major type-advantage when the lizard became a Grass-Type next.

The Natu was a Psychic/ Flying-Type pokemon, according to the pokedex. Of all the pokemon currently available to him, Mezmonov didn’t have any one pokemon with a major advantage. So, He called on Goryntch the Bagon. Bite was a Dark-Type move, and the only thing that Natu were very weak to.

So, Mezmonov tossed the Bagon’s ball towards the little green bird. It released the blue Dragon in a beam of red light, just like normal. “Goryntch, use Bite on the Natu. If it tries to fly, or dodge the attack, use Flamethrower. Otherwise, just keep Biting.!” Hopefully those powerful Bite attacks would also make the Natu flinch, and keep it from counter-attacking.

The last of the charging pokemon was a purple Aipom. The little monkeys were very swift, able to run in and out of battles quickly. As a Normal-Type, they were weakest against Fighters. Unfortunately, Heracross and Machop were both still in the computer box, back at the Pokemon Center. There wasn’t enough time to go back and get them either. Mezmonov threw out his last, big hitter.

The pokeball burst in red energy as a Beedrill appeared. “Nyena, use Toxic Spikes, and scatter them around the Aipom. Hopefully we can keep it from advancing. After that, attack with Twineedle. Try to stay above the pokemon, and away from those trees. I do not want it to attack you.”

And there it was. Mezmonov had called on his three, strongest pokemon to help defend the farmland. He wondered what other pokemon would come out of the wood lines. He also wondered how much fighting his team could take before they started to fatigue.
