I LOVE Avatar...The Last Airbender, yo.
HEELLLOO! And welcome to Alternia! You're probably just flowing with happiness and excitement, right? Well not so much since you're jobless...and a beginning trainer at the age of twenty-two. But that's not a problem, not at all! You may be mature, but you still have a lot to learn about the world of Pokemon. Good choice of becoming a trainer and getting over your fears, not all Pokemon are as bad as they seem.

Now, let's get started. As you walked down the streets of Millenia, the sun shined down fairly bright. It was the perfect day, not too hot, and not too cold. You turned your head in different directions seeing different things. On your left you saw all sorts of buildings such as stores, apartments, etcetera. On your right was a friendly looking playground, surrounded by all sorts of houses. People ran all about the place, especially little kids hanging from monkey bars and just having a good time.

The weirdest thing of all was, every direction you turned, you got some strange looks from people. They didn't seem to be used to you're taste in clothing, but that didn't bother you. Who cared about them anyways? They can talk all they want, you're a trainer now. You continued to walk on the sidewalk, just minding your own business. Then suddenly, BAM! You fell over and hit the ground with an embarrassing loud thud. Wha-What just happened? You're vision was blurred the slightest bit, and then you saw a kickball bouncing a few feet away. Of course, just a bunch of kids playing kickball and you get hit. The kids playing the game all looked at each other, afraid that you were going to kill them. A boy around the age of 10 approached you.

"Gee mister, are you alright?" he asked. "We're sorry we hit you, I'm Sen." He continued to stare at you, checking for injuries. He spotted something on you and froze. "Hey, you're a Pokemon trainer! Let's have a battle!" Well...that was awkward and sudden, but it doesn't sound like a half bad idea. Running, more like waddling, up from behind the little boy was a small Pokemon. So, what's it going to be? Are you going to battle this kid? It would give you some good experience, but the choice is entirely yours.

Dai strolled through the streets, not minding the odd looks he got here and there. He actually seemed to enjoy the stars, frequently grinning in response to stranger's glances and tipping his hat every now and then to the ladies or giving a little flair to his cape as people walked by. He was actually encouraged, half the battle of an effective show was drawing the audience's eye. Whistling lightly, he was merrily scoping out where he might put on his first show with his new Pokémon assistant when he suddenly found himself on the ground and a ball bouncing in front of his face.

As the concerned child ran up to him and inquired whether he was alright, Dai brushed himself off, picked up the ball and said, "It's is quite alright little Sen, it was all in fun and games and I am quite uninjured." Dai's hat had come loose and he picked it up off the ground as he moved into a sitting position, nervously letting himself be subjected to the child's poking and prodding for injures. Seeing the ball laying on the ground, he also reached over with his long arm, picked it up, and gave it to Sen.

"Hey, you're a Pokémon trainer! Let's have a battle!"

Dai was confused for a second as to how the child had figured out that he was a trainer Dai spotted Neptune's pokeball, loose from its hidden pocket, laying on the ground. "Ah yes, you noticed. I am indeed a Pokémon trainer as you have noticed. I and my partner the great Neptune would be more than happy to- EEEEAAARGH!!!" Dai gave a most undignified screech and went from a sitting position on the ground to standing about ten feet away faster than one would think possible. As he sprung into the air, he dropped Neptune's pokeball and the fish Pokémon sprung out in a flash of red light.

:magikarp

"Kaaaaaaarpuh" the fish lay on the ground and wiggled up and down on the ground slowly.

Dai was shrinking away from the tiny brown teddiursa, face pulled into an expression of pure fear, but frozen in place by the memories that welled up. Somewhere in his mind some signal fired through the fear and he vaguely remembered that he was commanding the magikarp in front of him... and the magikarp could fight the little bear.

"G-G-GET IT!" Dai managed to stammer out and point at the enemy Pokémon, looking back and forth frantically between his Pokémon and the little kids.

The kid stared at you with wide eyes, confused as ALL get-out. "Uhhh... Mister, are you sure you're okay?" His little bear gave a stiflingly cute 'Uuurrr...' and tilted it's head at you, sucking it's paw. The fish, however, just flopped on the ground, barking it's name uselessly, as the child's eyes drew to it. "Your... Uhh... Magikarp doesn't look very powerful, Mister." He grinned and shrugged, though. "Oh well." He smiled, taking a battle stance. "C'mon, Teddiursa! Use Scratch!" He called.

The Ursine infant looked over the fish and almost seemed to be drooling a bit before it toddled forward, drawing back it's paw and readying the attack. Upon delivery, the karp's beady black eye twisted around to the bear and the fish bent at two angles, like a bridge'd card deck, first up and over, then slapping the pavement to lift itself. The fish soared about a foot before flipping in mid-air and slapping the back of the bearcub's head with it's webbed tail and landing again, returning to it's slow undulations.

The only drawback to this attack was that it thrusted be bear more towards Dai before it sprawled accross the pavement... Much like Dai had a moment ago. When it started pulling itself to it's paws again, there were little tears in it's eyes, alongside what seemed to be a burning hatred and it turned back to your fish. You could almost see the firey Aura stage effect going on around the bear, as the easily-provoked nature of it's evolution snuck into it's current cuddly little form.

Dai jumped back as the tiny teddy was slapped closer to him by Neptune, wincing slightly. His arms instinctively shot up to protect his chest and face, and he flinched as to get his right side further away from the bear. When whatever attack he was expecting didn't come, he cautiously lowered the arm shielding his face and peeked at the teddiursa. The Pokémon wobbled onto its feet and for a moment Dai made eye contact the bear, and despite Dai's blurred vision, he caught the rage in the tiny teddy's eyes.

Dai was paralyzed with fear. He felt a cold lurch in his stomach and he winced again, closing his eyes and breaking out into a cold sweat involuntarily. Trembling slightly it took Dai a moment to realize that the bear had turned away from him, that it's anger was not directed at him. With a start, he remembered once again that he had a Pokémon under his command. Dai looked up to see the tiny bundle of rage headed towards Neptune.

"OHMYGOSHNEPTUNEHE'SCOMINGRIGHTFORYOUSPLASHINTOTHEAIRASHIGHASYOUCANTOGETAWAY!!!"
Dai nearly unintelligibly yelled at his partner, after a pause he added, "And then hit it!!! ...with your whole body!!!" Dai stood clutching his cane and trembling slightly as he watched the battle unfold. In his mind he wondered if he should've told Neptune not to hit the bear towards him again. Staring at the back of the little Pokémon, Dai began to entertain the thought of running away from the battle. The teddiursa was painful for him to even look at, bringing back so many unpleasant memories as to actually cause his knee to ache, or perhaps it was just the standing up that was doing it.

Dai looked around for a possible escape path and was surprised to see a small group of people outside the little trainers kickball friends had started gathering around them. Apparently a man in a magician's suit battling Pokémon with a little boy drew some attention. With a sinking feeling Dai realized he couldn't run away and keep his reputation intact, he would never be able to face an audience to do another show if he ran away from a little kid. Dai looked back at the bear and another involuntary spasm of fear ran through his body.

I wanna get away, I wanna get away, I wanna get away....

Neptune's beady black eye rolled back towards the Teddiursa as he fell still for a moment, poised in a way that gave him optimal view. For a moment, he seemed to be rolling his eyes, staring at his trainer as he was laying there. A golden lid flashed over the big, lifeless eye for a moment before the bead pointed towards the infantile ursine beast. Neptune began flopping around some, but the Teddiursa was too close for the swift fish to avoid his claw as it came barrelling down against the fish's scales... And then got stuck. The bearcub stared where his claw had become lodged between the scales and fell to a mildly comical, slightly long series of trying to get it loose, until he finally lost the clawsheath, much like cats do, and whimpered as he sucked on the offended paw. The tears were nowhere near fake, and didn't affect Neptune in the least as the kids fell to giggling softly. "Teddiursa! Are you okay?" The kid called, looking up at you. "That was a dirty trick!"

"What trick!?" one of the other kids called. "Teddiursa got 'is paw stuck, that's all!" They laughed a little before the child stomped his food.

"Stop laughing! It ain't funny!" He barked. "Show 'em, Teddiurs-... Where'd that fish go!?" He looked around, eyes wide, for the missing fish... Who, about that moment, dropped his whole weight on the bear, scales tearing at the bear's fur a little as Neptune's hard body slammed him into the pavement before bouncing away.

The bear pulled to his feet again, eyes blazing and edged with tears once more, and stomped towards Neptune, who returned to flopping slowly, moving around a little. Without a word from his trainer, the bear stuck out his tongue to give the fish a 'real lickin''... Only to find Magikarp's fin biting into his tongue and slicing along it's center.

This wasn't lookin' so good for that little Teddiursa... But Neptune wasn't even doing anything and the bear was just hurtin' more and more! Maybe there WAS some chance for Magikarp to climbe the food chain. However... That little cub was looking less and less happy with th situation, and his trainer had adopted a soft grin. Perhaps... There was more to these youngsters than met the eye at first?

As Dai watched the teddiursa struggle against Neptune, he felt the tiniest bit of comfort creep into his mind as he saw his Pokémon readily beating the bear, but only the tiniest bit. As he saw the bear begin to cry he froze for a second, looking around frantically before he remembered that the baby's mother probably wasn't around since the little kid owned him. He still took a few tentative steps to the side where he was slightly further away from the spot the two Pokémon were battling it, justifying it in his head as just going to get a better view on things.

How easily Neptune was beating teddiursa honestly surprised Dai, he had never noticed the fish's scales being so sharp before, but her recalled something about how Pokémon were more dangerous when actually using moves in battles. The bear was in bad shape, and Dai for a second wondered why Neptune didn't just go and finish him off, before realizing that he was waiting for another command.

Dai panicked for a second, wondering what he should do. The first two attacks had not really been planned, mostly just blurted out in the spur of the moment, and now that he was a little more under control he couldn't even quite remember what he said. He only recalled magikarp having one attack although clearly he had used two different ones.

"Uh-uhm use splash again!"
Dai said quickly before the bear got a chance to strike, "and then uhm, land on it again that worked well!" Neptune's blank eye rolled over to stare at Dai, whether it was to say it understood or not was questionable. Dai noticed that Neptune's flopping was a little off claw marks on the fish's side bleeding lightly and he shrunk back from the sight realizing magikarp was in pain and subconsciously imagining himself on the other side of the bear's claws. However, they reminded him to add, "And you can splash high to dodge too ok?" although his tone was far from the commanding voice of a master Pokémon trainer. Dai felt the nervousness take over again and he anxiously watched.

((Command: Splash -> bellyflop again, splash again either before or after to dodge))

The brat accross the way tilted his brow and decided to disregard the odd actions of the fish's trainer. "Come on, Teddi, you can do this! Scratch his face, his face!" he taunted the little bear, pointing at the fish, who's beady eye returned to the little brown ursine, with little tears in his eyes. However, even as the attack was unleashed, the bear's crocodile tears elicited no response from the seemingly lifeless magikarp. It might be noticed that the boy on the other end of the field was notably silent, arms crossed, and a victorious grin already spread accross his face.

The bear's eyes narrowed sharply as it glared at Neptune, who'd returned to flopping about on the ground, working himself into a higher flop with each twist of his spine. A fire almost seemed to surround the ursine's eyes, as his claws curled into his little paws, angled dangerously at his sides, and his breathing depened. You could almost swear you heard the sizzle of the tears as the temperature of the creature's cheeks began to climb with the blush of embarrassment and rage.

"THERE we go! Get 'im, Teddi!" The kid cried, joined by similar urgings from the youngsters around the battlefield. The bear's stance fell to four legs as he pelted towards the fish, who finally began to get some air in his splash. This was about to be a moot point, as the bear lept with the fish and spread his jaws to catch the carp in it's maw, landing on all fours and shaking it's little head vigorously. Magikarp squinted, trying not to let the sudden and continuous shattering of his viewpoint get the better of him, as his hard scales protected what little meat Magikarp were said to sport, the teddiursa visibly trying to break through them with teeth tougher than his claws by a noticeable faction.

When the bear finally stilled his head to return to chewing again, he looked a little dizzy, but it was moments before that sensation was uprooted and he was ready to go again, throwing the fish towards his owner, readying for a second go-around. A tear along Neptune's fin showed some real wear as the bear lowered his head in fashion of a tauros and charged for the attack, and charges. Neptune managed to get out of the way, this time, but his Belly Flop completely flopped in aim as the bear skidded to a stop, a mere 5 or 6 feet from you, turning to face the magikarp again... Who looked significantly more hurt, at this point.

Dai let out a gasp and closed his eyes as the bear shook poor Neptune back and forth like a rag doll. Teddiursa tossed the fish aside, magikarp hit the ground with a heavy slap. Dai winced and opened his eyes to take in Neptune's injured form. Dai felt guilt tug on his heart for sending Neptune out against the tiny, vicious, man-eating Pokémon without a thought. He saw the ripped fin and his hand reflexively twitched up to his own right sholder. Dai opened his mouth to say something when the teddiursa came barreling at him from under his now airborne magikarp. Fire shone in its eyes and Dai had an intense flashback to the face of the mother urisang, her eyes burning with rage and hate. Dai gave a shrill yelp and jumped back. He gripped his cane and fiercely swung it wildly back and forth in the air as far away from his body as he could.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME MONSTER!!!" Dai cried out with his cane swishing through the air. This was the picture of bears he held in his head, unstoppable, raging beasts of claws and teeth. His cane flailed ineffectively a little bit until Dai noticed the teddiursa's form turn back to Neptune's flopping form on the ground. With a jolt Dai finally realized that the bear was after his Pokémon and not Dai himself. Dai had to give Neptune a command or he would get hurt and it would be Dai's fault.

"Neptune play dead!!!" Dai finally shouted out. After he was attacked he had gotten numerous lessons on how to avoid confrontations with wild Pokémon, especially urisang and teddiursa. Turned out bears wouldn't attack things they thought were dead or boring, so you were supposed to sit still and play dead, not run. Also, this particular teddiursa's rage seemed to be fueled on by its embarrassment in being ineffective in battle, maybe if it though that it had defeated Neptune it would calm down and it wouldn't rip him apart again. Despite feeling this would work, Dai still felt intense disease at dealing with the teddiursa, and he glanced up at the trainer

Well, the trainer certainly wouldn't fall for playing dead, especially since he heard Dai call out the command. Dai grimaced, he would have to figure out how to command his Pokémon without other trainers hearing him. The boy would certainly urge his Pokémon to attack if he realized it hesitated at Neptunes performance.

"Eh, as soon as the teddiursa hesitates or slows down, get some momentum from splashing and whack him with your tail!"
Dai added.

Dai willed himself to keep from closing his eye again and hoped his plan would work...

The confusion dancing around the gathering was loud enough to be easily tracked. "What's wrong with him?"

"Why's he doing that?"

"Monster? Is he talkin' about Teddi?"

"Maybe he's afraid of somethin'?"

"What? nah, he's a pokemon trainer. Trainers aren't afraid'a nothin'!"

"Did he just tell his Magikarp to play dead?"

This last was followed by the kids echoing that part of the command, so that the child on the other end heard... Only that part. neptune, however, got the full command line. He seemed curious at the odd tendencies his trainer was emitting, but now was certainly not the time for a heart-to-heart.

So... With commands in mind, Neptune returned his roving black pupil to the bear who was his endless torment for the day...

"Teddi, that guy had his Magikarp 'play dead'! Show 'im how big a screwup that is, in a battle!" He barked, grinning. "Charge 'im and use Scratch and Crunch real hard!"

The bear snuffed sharply, lowering his head again before drawing to his hindquarters and bearing fangs... teeth... Anything that made him look mildly threatening, as a small, cute bear could look from behind. So... The charging came again. Neptune remained quiet on the pavement, until the last moment, when he flopped at a sharp angle and drove his body over the scratch so it would pull him up to the Bear's face, smacked the bear accross the cheek, and when flying as the bear was knocked over. As the bear stood, a dizzy in his eyes as he glared at you for a long moment before turning to the magikarp again... was that... begrudgingly?

Well... Animals can sense fear, so perhaps you'd better turn down the pharamones, eh?

Dai barely registered the crowd's confused murmurs. He was completely focused on the battle, now, tensely watching the little bear make its every move. Normally he would be concerned about the crowd's reactions. Normally he would be doing everything in his power to be flashy and make a show out of what he was doing. However, this was not a normal battle, as he was facing the demon bear from hell.

Still, that little voice in the back of his head that was an entertainer told him to straighten up and stop being such a wuss onstage. He straightened a little and firmly gripped his cane, holding his breath as the teddiursa rushed towards Neptune. There was a surge of worry followed by a burst of relief that rushed through him as Neptune swiftly bent into the air and smacked the bear soundly in the head. However, when the bear got up and glared at Dai, only to reluctantly turn back to the battle only due to an order from his trainer, Dai's blood ran cold.

Ohgodohgodohgod it really wants to kill me! It really wants to kill me! Dai's mind leaped to panic in an instant. The little rat of panic he had been suppressing suddenly became active, chewing away at his resolve and will. He began to tremble again.

It took only a millisecond for Dai to get shook up and then the sudden awareness of teddiursa readying to attach Neptune.

"Neptune splash to jump in the air to get away!" Dai ordered urgently before the terror inducing teddy got a chance to strike. The order was almost pure reaction, he hadn't even needed to think about what to order. There was a bit of a pause, and then Dai finished the order, "Belly flop it from as high as possible!"

After he finished his command, Dai noticed his trembling and pulled his black cape around his body to hide it from the crowd that had gathered.

The kids were obviously enjoying watching this battle. It could be seeing a wuss of a trainer or just seeing how long the long assumed weakest pokemon in existance would stand against a Teddiursa. One thing was sure was that you were drawing attention, either from the fact that the Magikarp was beating the crap out of a Teddiursa or your get-up. After all, you looked very much like a stage magician and you know how kids are like about magic tricks. Regardless of how many magic tricks you knew, you was doing a nice one called 'disappearing hit points'.

The Magikarp used splash to launch itself in the air in time to avoid the scratch attack. It bellyflopped onto the bear from as high as it dared to go. However, the little bear didn't do the Crunch attack until after the Magikarp landed. It bit into the Magikarp with such zeal and feeling that everyone flinched in some way. Maybe you did. After all, it was your friend and partner. The Magikarp let out a cry of pain as the Teddiursa bit into the poor fish pokemon. Obviously, the Magikarp didn't enjoy it as the Teddiursa obviously didn't want to let it go from its jaws.

Teddiursa begrudgingly let the Magikarp out of its mouth and got into a fighting stance as its trainer smirked. Teddiursa's trainer was clearly determined that if you were going to defeat him, he wanted to inflict as much damage to your Magikarp as he could before losing. It was a standard thought when you were in a corner and against all odds. And he was not going to give up without a fight and the Teddiursa gave off the same vibe as it uttered a low cry of anger that mirrored the angry call of its much bigger form. Yup, it was not happy. Of course, would you be if you've been slapped by a fish for the entire battle?

"Teddiursa, let's try it again! Like just now, use Crunch after it lands on the ground from the belly flop!" the kid shouted, knowing that the Magikarp would be unable to escape after belly flopping.

Dai flinched again as the brutal beat munched down on his poor fish. He was getting a little more used to seeing the brutality of the Pokémon battle, but not much. He clutched his cape around him like some sort of defense against the world. Normally he would be pleased with the crowd he had attracted, that was after all, pretty much the whole purpose of his outfit, that and its numerous secret pockets but we won't talk about that.

Regardless of how much of its hp was magically disappearing, Neptune seemed to be holding together rather well. As the teddiursa released him he flopped back nimbly a few feet away to get a better distance between himself and the teddiursa. Blood oozed from between injured scales, but the small magikarp showed no signs of painful or injured moving as it flopped about. The dull look in its eyes could either be obliviousness or a disinterested calm, but it was impossible to tell as it flopped about randomly exactly what was going on in the odd Pokémon's head.

Dai, once again was lost in frantic thoughts and battle strategies for several seconds and then startlingly realized he had yet to order Neptune and it would most certainly lead to his downfall.

"NEPTUNE!" he began desperately, thinking the bear would most certainly seize the lull in action to size upon poor Neptune and finish him off. The bear didn't move. It was truly waiting for Neptune to belly flop before attacking again, just like its trainer had ordered. Of course, Pokémon had to listen to their trainers didn't they?

Well, the snotty kid wasn't the only one who could take advantage of hearing his opponent's commands.

"Neptune, no belly flop this time, just slap him with his tail like you did before, splash to dodge if you need to!" Dai said, chest swelling as he thought he had outsmarted the little kid and finally won the battle.

Bringing sexy back? Apparently?
Whoa. You need to calm down a bit, mister. I mean, I’m not sure of your back-story or anything, but it seems like you don’t like bears. How could you not when they’re just like a teddy…bear…Okay, I’m starting to put together a fairly inaccurate idea of what caused your phobia, but that’s irrelevant. Enough ramblings for now and let’s see how a Magikarp fares against this bear cub.

Neptune…Kinda just lay there after the Crunch attack. The Teddiursa approached with rage in how it’d been made a fool of by a retarded fish; it wanted this to end, and now considering how much of a state it was in. Granted, it couldn’t vocalise such a comment, but it was a bit harsh. Let’s be thankful that Alternia is not under the ruling jurisdiction of 4Kidz. Either way, the bear went out to claw Neptune’s eyes out with its small, child-like appendages, or maybe to pull it closer for another Crunch. How did the fish respond to this?

Well…it kinda just took the blow, really. It said the second syllable of its genus in a low, kinda empty tone before using the blow to fold onto itself before springing back and taking down the Teddiursa with one final whack. The bear went tumbling back to the feet of its trainer, who then proceeded to grip his hair in a bewildered fashion. “I lost to a fish!? This SUCKS!” Pulling out a Pokeball, he recalled his Teddiursa and ran off crying while the other kids watching alternated between mocking Sen and applauding your victory.

Goes to show that even the Magikarps can bring it to the battle table! As an added bonus, Sen seemed to have dropped some money which was yours for the taking!

BATTLE WON!
Neptune gained 10 :exp !
Neptune levelled up!

Gained $20!
For the time being I am retired from Alternia. Due to the nature of my work, I've become very busy and time here is hard to find. I shall return eventually however.

Well, that didn't go... quite as planned, but that was a win... right? RIGHT?

Dai sat in shock for a couple seconds as he watched the little boy throw a tantrum about loosing and then withdraw the terrifying teddy and sulk away. With the bear withdrawn, the panic and fear that had before been smothering what little common sense he had lifted and he finally realized what he had just achieved. He also for the first time took in the entirety of the crowd and realized just how many people had been observing his victory and in his fear.

That realization snapped him out of the system shock the battle of his worst nightmare had caused. Dai immediately fell back on his showmanship.

"Aha! Yes! Thank you for watching folks, your attention is much appreciated! You just witness me, the great magician Dai Edith take down the young man's ferocious bear single han-"

"Karp!"

"With the help of his handsome assistant Neptune that is! We hope you enjoyed the battle and will take the opportunity to come to the show again... not that we know where or when it will be but such is the life of a great pokemon showman eh?! Once again thank you thank you!" Dai gave his general end of show speech and bowed to the crowd, taking off his had.

He then spotted the money the little boy had dropped on the ground. Dai immediately swooped down on it like a vulture, a very flashy, strangely dressed, vulture, but a vulture none the less. He snatched it off the ground and happily put it in his pocket. He usually let children keep their money, but this had been an evil bear wielding child so he didn' t have much problem. Besides he had won it fair and square wasn't that what happened at the end of battles?

Reminded of money Dai added, "Any donations to continue my act would be much appreciated!" Dai mentioned happily to whatever crowd was left. Most of it had dispersed within seconds of the battle and what was left snorted at his plea for money.

Well is was worth a shot.

"Magi!" Neptune wiggled on the ground.

"What?" Dai turned towards his partner.

"MagiKARP!"

Dai blinked, a little bit of blood oozed out of the magikarp's wounds.

"Ohright," Dai suddenly realized Neptune was in bad shape. "And now the amazing Dai will go to a pokecenter to heal his partner!" Dai quickly withdrew Neptune to his pokeball and scuttled off to the pokecenter to heal before anything else terrifying happened.

Rainbows and sunshine.
For what seemed like an eternity, you and your little flappy friend now snug inside his pokeball wizzed through the streets, you made a couple of wrong turns hear and there, up some stairs, down a slide... no wait that was central park. Anywho, you manage to make it to the Pokemon Center relatively unscathed, by relativley I mean that a few times you were swooped by roosting pokemon here and there but we'll leave that until later when one does you some real damage. The Pokemon Center was a relatively empty to say the least, you determined that it was a bit before or after rush hour seemed to occur. There were a few things different about this center, above the reception area was a sign that read "Congratulations to Kim and Jake on their engagement, look forward to being at the wedding." There was also a photo of the happy couple on the counter, with Kim a blonde bombshell and Jake a tall handsome man engaging in a kiss.

You presented your pokemon to Nurse Joy who smiled and pointed to another difference to the Pokemon Center, a bowl of heart shaped crystaline candies. "Would you care for some sweets?" she said in a voice that seemed made of honey "They're for the special occassion, Kim and Jake are friends of mine, I decided to do this for them." She certainly was nice, doing all this for a friend. The candies were certainly popular, a teenage girl with slender fingers took one from the bowl, as did a man with thick spectacles and a woman with skin so fair it looked painted on. Apart from these three people with the sweet tooth, there was a young girl about seven or eight with a Rattata cuddled in her arms and a man, most likely her father who was sitting near her and feeding a young Caterpie some peices of cut up Pecha. Before long, Joy returned with your pokemon and gave you a curtsey before disappearing again. The teenage girl with the slender fingers was carring an over the shouldre bag complete with five pokeballs attached to its strap, in one hand she held a book that read "The Mystery of the Mansion by Hector R. Tuffet" which was most likely a novel of some kind. The man with the spectacles was reading the newspaper with a stern look on his face and the woman with the painted white skin was sitting over near a window with a glass of water in front of her, as clear and cool as the lady herself.

There were options here, options aplenty. You could do any number of these options. The man with the newspaper looked too serious to accept your parlor tricks as satisfying entertainment, he was more liable to lecture you on the importance of the economy. The painted lady looked too sopisticated, and the teen girl looked very... distant. The small girl with the Rattata was watching you closely as you stood there probably taking in your exotic dress as a street performer, and a man who could provide some laughs to her deprived childhood innocence. Her father was too preoccupied with the Caterpie to notice his daughter looking at you, besides he was making goo-goo baby sounds to the young Caterpie as he fed it. You could also decide to leave, it was up to you what to do really.
