As you stepped onto the streets of Nogou Village, you could feel a fresh breeze lightly wrap around your ankles and cool you. Nogou Village is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. Nogou Village, although a small, fit in for being an important place in Alternia. Nogou was a very important agricultural center, unlike the other two major cities which focus more on technology and industrialization. So basically you made a good choice in selecting your city; lets just try not to get you into any trouble while your here. Here in Nogou Village, things generally started calming down as the sun starts going down, unlike the other two major cities which have a whole night life of their own. The calmer denizens of the village preferred to have quieter evenings. The golden sun rays of the sunset showed brightly over the darkening woods. Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the park, look for a job, you could even look for Pokemon that inhabit urban areas. Though, some Pokemon like Grimer aren't always nice to have around. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another Pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmonger. As you walk through the village here at twilight, you could see some Kricketot walking around the village looking for something tasty to snack on. x2 Lv. 5

So it was the twilight hour, an unusual time for a boy like young Okari to start his Pokémon Journey. The life within Nogou Village quietly died down, just the way Okari wanted things to be when he began his journey. He didn't want to leave in the middle of the day as he knew that people liked to gather and greet people goodbye; Okari really hated attracting attention to himself, especially since he had done a good job at attracting the wrong kind during his school days. Okari's main goal before he successfully ventured out into the region of Alternia: to catch another Pokémon and to strengthen up his Munchlax, Bo. Okari strolled through the darkening streets, the orange-dressed boy didn't take much heed to what was going on around him as he was completely focused on his goals. "Come on out Bo!" exclaimed Okari throwing his Munchlax's Pokeball out onto the ground. "Bo this is the time we've finally been waiting for: we're beginning our adventure!" Okari yelled throwing his fist in the air. He looked at his Munchlax and groaned, why couldn't he have a more energetic Pokémon? Okari continued his walk through the darkened Nogou Village streets. He decided that he might as well look for a good Pokémon to scoop up as he journeyed on his way out of the city. As he walked however, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. Okari stopped completely in his tracks and looked up, two Krickeot were sniffing around. This is what I've been waiting for! thought Okari poking his fingers together. He began to wonder though, how should he go about encountering the Pokémon...well Okari wasn't the normal thinker, in fact he never really did think about things before he did them. "Bo! Use Metronome on those bugs!" Okari shouted once more, this time his attention focused on the Krickeot. Edited by Steven, Jan 12 2010, 08:48 PM.

Well you certainly have bravery, that's for sure! Taking on two Kricketot is certainly no easy picnic, yet you and Bo are going to launch yourselves into the fray! Certainly a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off for you. Since the Kricketot were walking along completely oblivious to your presence, they didn't even notice Bo starting to wag his fingers back and forth. A blinding flash of light happened, and Bo ran towards the bug Pokemon with a surprising burst of agility that one would not expect from a Munchlax. The nearer Kricketot turned around just in time to see Bo barreling into him with a Double-Edge attack courtesy of Metronome. Unfortunately, this also meant Bo took some recoil damage from the attack as well. The hapless Kricketot got up and looked at his friend. They immediately squatted down and engaged in Bide attacks. It would appear that you got the jump on one of the two opponents, but perhaps caution is in order now. However, what happens is totally up to you. What do you and Bo do? [OOC: Yeah, I know it's been awhile since I have been able to get on. I've ran into some more trouble in the past year.] So the battle was progressing rather well within the first round for both the traveling Okari and his Munchlax partner Bo. The previous Metronome attack unleashed by Bo had erupted into a Double Edge attack...which in the end always backs fire on the user in the end. However, although Double Edge wasn't the attack that Okari had intended to result from the turn it still played out well. One of the opposing Krickeot's had been damaged by the attack and Okari was happy. However after the round for Okari and Bo had ended the Kricketot's began to use their Bide attack which set Okari back a little. The only real attack that Bo had in his arsenal was Metronome...and that was actually anything but an actual attack. Two Bide attacks would through Okari and Bo for a loop and could possibly cause them to lose the battle, after all Bo was already injured from his Double Edge attack. Without thinking Okari called out his next move: "Bo Metronome again on the same Kricketot!" Okari called out to his Pokemon. Okari had absolutely no idea what would attack would happen this time and neither did Bo. All he could do was hope that it would be something that would at least wither the Kricketot down to at least be able to be captured. |

By Eevachu: So you decided to go with Metronome again, did you? Well, we'll let the random number generator decide. The two Kricketot just stood there, kind of looking like they were constipated as you ordered Bo to use Metronome on the same Kricketot. It's a good idea to keep damaging it, but if you sent out heavy damage but didn't faint it, Bo would be in trouble. The chubby little Munchlax initiated the start of the attack as it waved it's fingers back and forth. They started to glow, as he called out his own name, reciting, "Munchlax!" They released a slightly bright light, but it wasn't bright enough to blind or obscure vision. It quickly faded, as Munchlax opened it's mouth. A purple-like gas started to emit from it, as more came out as it quickly went straight to the Kricketot you told it to attack. It covered the mustache bug, as it made a slight coughing noise. It seems metronome let your Munchlax use Poison Gas. The Poison Gas slowly lingered in the air around the Kricketot you ordered it to attack. Sadly, there wasn't hope of poisoning the other Kricketot, as the poison quickly dissipated, blowing off in the direction of some trees. I'm sure that's perfectly safe though, don't worry. So the Kricketot is poisoned now. Excellent, but it still can dish out double of what double-edge did. . . No pun intended. At least the other one's bide is pointless, right? . . . Right. Considering you pretty much only have this last chance before Bide releases, you better hope Metronome is nice to you, or come up with a new plan. [OOC: I'm basically trying to get online when I can, due to this computer virus that may be spaced out.] Okari gritted his teeth as he watched Bo perform Metronome once more. The result was pleasing in some aspects but at the end of the day it could be better. He was hoping for a stunning move that would level the playing field as he battled the two cricket-like Pokemon, after all he was already at a disadvantage. When the Bide attacks released themselves as well...that maybe the end of this battle after all. Okari quickly surfed through the confines of his mind and thought of another plan. I'm going to need to do damage, I can't keep taking chances with this Metronome. Okari thought rubbing his chin. The orange-wearing trainer then thought of something else: Bo was a Pokemon of tremendous girth so he basically Okari could use the Pokemon's possible physical strength to tackle the Krickeot. "Bo! I want you to Belly Flop into that Krickeot that you use poisoned!" Okari shouted pointing towards the poisoned Krickeot. It was a simple global attack, he was going to have Bo ram the Krickeot in some sort of a makeshift Tackle attack. Instead of taking chances, he was going to have use a plan that would at least have a higher chance of working. Besides, if he could knock the Krickeot off of it's rocker he might be able to throw off the Bide. |

Wow, well aren't you in a jam? The lucky thing for you, is that your Double-Edge attacked the two before they even thought about using Bide, so that won't be used against you. Usually Bide takes place first in the round, but you caught them off-guard. Although I'm not sure how smart it was of you to attack two pokemon with only one. Anyway, let's get back to the battle. The two crickets continued to stand strong using their bide attacks. They were slightly squated with their small arms in a blocking position out in front of them. Their mouths gritted, as they tried to prepare themselves for the upcoming hit. It's amazing how a Kricketot can be brave enough to use bide. You've got to think that it takes a lot of guts to just take a hit. As for you, you seemed to be getting a bit frightened that you could actually lose to these pokemon and their bide attacks. Bide can be a scarey move, especially if you are relying on the randomness of metronome and battling two pokemon with only one. Using your brains though, you decided to switch it up a little and use a Belly Flop. Also, this battle isn't quite over yet, so let's see how this round turns out for you. Bo took his new commands and positioned himself to run and flop onto the poisoned Kricketot. With the giant weight difference between the two, this just might work for you. Bo got a running start, considering that the crickets were both just standing there pretty much asking him to attack them. Once he closed in on the targeted cricket, he launched himself into the air and came straight down on top of one of the Kricketot. The ground literally shook and when Bo got up, kricketot staggered up out of a huge dent in the ground that your Bo had left. It was so huge, it's crazy how Okari wasn't rolling in laughter, if he wasn't that is. Dizzy and in serious pain, Kricketot regained his mind and stared deep into the eyes of Bo. His anger was now to the max, and his Bide was about to be unleashed. A second or two later, Kricketot rushed toward Bo with blazing speed fueled by nothing but pure revenge in mind. Kricketot crashed into Bo with such enormous power, the large beast was sent to the ground. As the poisoned cricket turned to return to his friend, the poison sank in and did a few more damage to the Kricketot. The other Kricketot's bide had done nothing, but as his partner hopped back over to him, he began laughing at the damage you had just taken, the other Kircketot chirped out a small growl, causing your attack to take a small decrease.
