Overlord of Random

As you stepped onto the streets of Nogou Village, you could feel a fresh breeze lightly wrap around your ankles and cool you. Nogou Village is one of the region's principle cities because of its economic purpose in Alternia. The village of Nogou was the top producer of food for the region. So basically you made a good choice in selecting your city; lets just try not to get you into any trouble while your here. It was a wonderous day to start a Journey. The sky was clear and not a thing could go wrong. It was although the world was at peace and nothing wrong could ever happen. Otherwise a perfect time to start a Journey. Anyway, there are many things that you can do here. Go to the park, look for a job, you could even look for pokemon that inhabit urban areas. Though, some pokemon like Grimer aren't always nice to have around. However, there are plenty of other things to do as well including finding another pokemon trainer and battling him or her for glory, honor, and the right to rub it in their face if your opponent loses. Remember though, battling is just as much physical as it it mental. Fair warning if you choose the path of the warmongerer. In fact look over there I see a Shuppet floating towards you. It looked ready for a fight and was probably coming towards you because of that reason. Wanna take this thing on? Level 4 ![]() WELCOME TO ALTERNIA. |

Kira looked around her new destination with her friend Guardian the Mortpoi floating beside her. She wasn't sure on what to make out of this beautiful place but she knew that she will enjoy being here for the time being. She was mainly just looking around when she spotted the Shuppet coming over towards her and by the looks of the Pokémon she was looking for a battle. Kira looked at Guardian knowing that this will be a good thing to try out her friends attacks and see how to work with them so that she will find ways to do well in any contests she may come across as well as trainer and Pokémon battles. She didn't have that many Pokeballs right now so she will have to be careful until she can get some more on what she captures. She looked at the Shuppet again and decided that it might be a good idea to have another friend on the team. "Guardian let's battle against this Shuppet since it seems to want one. We might be able to add a new friend to our team don't you think," Kira asked. Guardian looked first at Kira and then at the Shuppet before she moved to be in front of Kira ready to battle. Kira began to think of the attacks that a Mortpoi would have right now and then when she remembered on what they could be she said, "Watch out for that Shuppet's own attacks and do your best to avoid them when they come at you but use Astonish on her. We will have to watched her carefully because I have a feeling that she may have some good attacks of her own. Be careful Guardian." Guardian nodded her head and moved to get ready to use her Astonish attack hoping that it will hit and do some damage to the Ghost-type Pokémon. She didn't believe that the Pokémon will have that many attacks right now but she will still watch out for them. |

A battle of the ghouls, eh? This should prove to be an extremely interesting match. Although the Shuppet was floating around looking ready for battle, Guardian got the jump on her and acted first. Guardian darted in and rammed the macabre foe quickly with Astonish, hoping to cause it such shock that it would be unable to attack. Sadly, the Shuppet must have seen the foe coming because it was still able to act. It did do a decent amount of damage though due to the attack being a Ghost type. Shuppet responded by twirling around and smashing into Guardian with a Knock-off attack. If your Mortpoi had been holding anything, it probably would have been knocked away. Since she wasn't holding things, it wasn't as big of a deal. Since the attack was a Dark Type, it also did a decent amount of damage. Looks like it's going to be a match of the Super Effectives. Kira watched the battle and saw that the Shuppet had done a good amount of damage to Guardian with it's Knock-off attack but Guardian had also done a good job with Astonish. If Tail Whip would work on the Shuppet they would be able to do more damage to the Ghost-type Pokémon but for now Astonish will have to do. Kira watched the Shuppet carefully thinking carefully on what she can get Guardian to do. "Guardian great job on the attack and it seems that Shuppet had done some damage to you as well. Watch out for that Knock-off attack when you use Astonish once more. If you see the Shuppet using that attack or another do your best to move higher in the air to dodge the attack," she said. She began to think of moves that she could help Guardian learn. Her eyes widen when she remembered that Guardian could also learn Knock-Off. She smiled and said to Guardian once more, "Pay attention to how that Knock-Off move was used by Shuppet Guardian and if you see your chance try to copy the attack your own way. It might be good to have that kind of an attack for you to use." Guardian looked at Kira and listen to her carefully. Knock Off did sound like a good move for her to learn so she watched the Shuppet and began to remember how the Shuppet went about the attack. First she moved closer to the Shuppet with her Astonish attack and began to put more power into the attack so she will be able to try the attack herself. She didn't think the Shuppet was carrying anything but this attack would still come in handy especially if they were to use it in a Trainer Battle. It would prevent the Trainer's Pokémon from being able to use any item it was holding to help it out. Guardian also kept an eye out for the Shuppet's next attack so that she will be able to try and dodge it. Kira watched to see how this will go and wondering if Guardian will succeed at trying to learn Knock Off. She had faith in her friend and that's about as best as she can do right now. |

Your Pokétech beeped, scanning through the list of attacks that Guardian – your Mortpoi – was capable of learning. Soon, the screen stopped scrolling, and if you cared to look at it, it would be detailing the current learning curve of the move ‘Knock Off’. After all, it was already feeding battle information, so there was no reason why the device itself didn’t record data on move-teaching. It was a device made to aid Trainers, in all essentiality … now, after that little talk on the Pokétech and its functions, let’s actually take a look at the battle. Guardian was holding up pretty well, moving from side to side so as to be a harder target to hit. The Shuppet wanted to make sure that her Knock Off was going to strike well and true and so – aimed pretty darn carefully. This match was turning somewhat into a staring one, but … as the Shuppet started spinning where she was to unleash a force strong enough to knock off the nonexistent held item of your Mortpoi, the purple-colored Pokémon’s eyes narrowed. This was the chance to see how Knock Off worked – darn! The Shuppet was a tad too fast! The winged Pokémon got a smack on her body from the assault, but she got a rather good look at the final moments of the attack. Well … like they say, you need a head and tail in order to completely understand a move, and Guardian has … the tail of it. Um, if it didn’t make sense – never mind, just know that she understood a little bit of it. Now that it was her turn to attack, she unleashed Astonish on Shuppet, dealing some good damage from her light tackle as payment for the previous damage. Seeing that there was an opening, Guardian decided to try out Knock Off. However, considering that you didn’t really explain how she was going to use it, Guardian felt a little out of place. She might have her ghost-typed part of her being the same as her opponent, but the way her body was shaped sure wasn’t the same! The eloquent grace of the puppet-like Pokémon just didn’t really apply to her somehow. Despite the fact, the Mortpoi decided to give it just one try and charged forward, not even managing to knock Shuppet backwards, due to the fact it was just a notch above Strike. Well, it was still a good try … now, that concludes this round of the battle. Team Pokemon: :mortpoi Level 5 {Guardian} 26/35 87%[Knock Off - 15%] Wild Pokemon: Level 4 {?} 20/33 92%
