Move tutoring and boring used in the same sentence!? Okay, so I have seen that before and understand all too well about the issues of tutoring. Granted, looking from what you’re trying to tutor, you could’ve picked something easier to tutor first, but that’s just me. Slash was easiest, so let’s start with that…It has nothing to do with it being the first tutor on your list. Really.

Alright, so, your little bear was a normal type, so had type affinity to make learning this move easier. Had both scratch and Fury Swipes which would’ve helped also; just needed to practise targeting vitals. Whelp, Teddy sized up the tree, looked at its paw and the struck the tree with its Scratch attack. It was hard to imagine something like a tree with limbs, vital organs, and let alone any form of groin or crotch region. But, Teddy improvised and struck a spot near the base of the tree, trying to carve in deep but barely digging into the bark. Seems like you were going to need to increase the power and speed of execution if you really wanna target those vitals and get in there for the damage that Slash is known for.

Slash Learning Curve(Teddy): 25%

Ugh. Brine. I’ve never seen the practical use for this move in the games, but maybe it’ll fare a lot better in a RP environment. Also, I had to check your profile to see about this Aquarium business, because that just seemed a little too perfect for this. But it’s perfectly fine and it all checks out so let’s get to work. The only problem was that you didn’t actually know Water Gun. Instead, you had to learn this via Bubblebeam which will undoubtedly make things a lot harder. So, Raymond dribbled out water, which was also foaming up just a little bit to show that there was salt in there, but by no means was this a lot of advancement. You had a long way to go, and you may want to consider teaching him something else before Brine.

Brine Learning Curve(Raymond): 7%

…Geez. Those commands confuse me, but for some reason your Spearow understood them to some extent. But if I do recall, Spearow wasn’t listening entirely to what you had said due to your confusion in its neck cracking. Yeah, I’m getting sick of this too so we’ll sum it up as thus: Spearow flied around you some more, managed to build up speed, but still needs to work on creating clones from those afterimages.

Double Team Learning Curve(Spearow): 60%

And finally. Swinub and Blizzard. This won’t take too long, I assure you. Hurf Durf; nice nickname by the way. Anyway, Hurf Durf looked at you, grunted, and then inhaled deep. You said to create a Blizzard, right? You kinda didn’t say where to Hurf Durf let it loose everywhere it could, tiring itself out, but mastering the move. Oh, but it also covered the ground in ice and barely missed your other Pokemon; good thing you’re done now, right?

Blizzard Learning Curve(Hurf Durf): 100%! – Blizzard Mastered!

Well, after a helluva long time for Hurf Durf to learn Blizzard... he finally learned Blizzard. This made Sengjin really tired and tired of move tutoring. Giving up on it, he returned all of his Pokemon back to their Pokeballs and healed them again. Inside the Pokemon, he took a nap and rested his tired self.

After about an hour or so, he woke up and took his Pokeballs back from the nurse. He went outside and looked around Millenia Town, perhaps now he could get out of the town and wander around the world of Millenia. Well, Sengjin was starting to like Millenia Town again. He walked away from the Pokemon Center and got back to where the beach was. In fact, he was at the same spot where he battled that girl and caught an Inkia. He looked around and saw if there were any trainers to battle. Right now, learning more moves was not much of a concern, but leveling up his Pokemon was. Sengjin's goal, for the moment, is to get all of his Pokemon to at least level ten.

So... he walked around and looked for a trainer to battle. I wants that 1.3 xp thingy =D

So you want to exploit the world of Alternia and look for some trainers to gain higher exp. Well that's a fair request and I'm sure we can deliver immediately. I mean, Millenia was one of the biggest cities around. Trainers were like flies, buzzing everywhere with extreme energy, all looking for battles. It was the younger trainers that were the worst. They'd just received their first pokemon and wanted to battle everything in sight. Sort of like a dog on a humping spree. Anyway with the hustle and bustle of activity, it wasn't long before a beautiful, young woman, looking about the age of 18 approached you. She saw you standing there, obviously looking for a battle and quickly walked over to you, withdrawing not one but two pokeballs.

"Hey there cutie. Fancy a battle?" She said as she released two pokemon, that landed by her side and growled, raring to go. "I hope your strong." She winked as she waited for your response.

It was your choice. Would you accept or decline. There are plenty of other trainers about if it's a single battle your looking for. Still it's a good opportunity to battle and grow...and maybe give Hurf Durf a chance to test out it's newly learned Blizzard.

Finally, a battle. It's been a few hours since Sengjin's last battle, but this one will hopefully go a lot smoother. After all, he DID do some move tutoring so that should help, right? Anyway, the girl spoke to Sengjin and she quickly released two Pokemon. Sengjin looked at both of them, unsure of what Pokemon they were. In fact, even I don't know them because I'm only familiar with the first, second, and kinda of the third generation of Pokemon. Sengjin took out his Pokedex and the magical device scanned the two Pokemon.

The first Pokemon that was scanned was Buizel, a Water Pokemon. It had a Swift Swim ability and knew some pretty good moves. The other Pokemon was a Lustoat. It also had two good abilities and Sengjin needed to make sure that both of his Pokemon couldn't make contact with the Lustoat.

"All right, I'll battle you, beautfiul."

Sengjin took out two Pokeballs from his belt and released two of his Pokemon, Raymond and Teddy. They both thought that they were going to move tutor again, so they had down faces. But they soon realized that they were going to battle, so they got their game faces on.

"Teddy and Raymond, let's start off this battle. Raymond, first thing I want you to do is to focus and increase your Accuracy. Once you've done that, use two Toxics on the Buizel and Lustoat. Teddy, after Raymond finishes his attack, go use Covet on the Buizel. You might even get lucky and get an item from the Pokemon. Then after that, use Fake Tears on the Lustoat; make it convincing! Then after all that, quickly run back to Raymond so you're not by the other two Pokemon by yourself."

Sengjin hoped that his Pokemon got every word of the battle plan. He did want to use Hurf Durf, but he's an ice and ground type. The other two Pokemon are a fire and water type. If Hurf Durf was sent out there, then nearly every hit would be a super effective against him. Oh well, I guess we'll have to see the move Blizzard later....

Oh yeah, I also bought some tickets for the lottery. Five of them.

I think in my entire moderator career here I have learned two things. One, female trainers generally speak in some kind of seductive tone, even if they’re aiming to battle you with the hopes of wiping the floor with you. And two, they spoke in some form of pink text. Either way, it was battle time, and like you said, your Pokemon were stoked. You sent out Teddy and Raymond, which were your Teddiursa and Shellder respectfully. The girl couldn’t help but squee, because that’s what girls did, at the sight of your little Teddy. It was cute or so she said, but that didn’t distract her from the battle at hand.

Alright, first up was Raymond who focused on accuracy. Simple enough, but by no means was this woman going to let you have full control of this battle. “Go Buizel! Use Sonicboom on that Shellder and then Growl at that cute little bear! You use your Ember attack twice, Lustoat!” Buizel used Sonicboom on Raymond, but Raymond responded in kind with those Toxic attacks you wanted. Both of your opponents suffered from the status, which was a bonus for you, up until she found a way around that and whipped you silly. Oh, and this was the point where Buizel growled your Teddy.

As for the second half of this battle, Teddy went to use Covet on the Buizel but was blasted by two rounds of Ember from the Lustoat. Reeling, and adding a small amount of pity to the Teddiursa’s situation, the Buizel found herself tackled in a coy manner for a small amount of damage. Sadly, no item was taken, but then came the Fake Tears, which considering that the Lustoat just finished blasting the poor bear with flames, she began to feel a little guilty for doing as such and suffered the penalty to Special Defence as you hoped. Well…when Teddy retreated behind Raymond, both of your foes suffered from poison, yay.

This battle might be a lot more tougher than Sengjin hoped for. He didn't think of it at first, but the level difference was pretty high. If Sengjin could knock out the Lustoat or Buizel, then the battle should be in Sengjin's favor. With that in mind, Sengjin focused on the Lustoat. It was a fire Pokemon and Raymond had the advantage.

"All right, Teddy, use another Fake Tears on the Lustoat. After you've done that, focus on your attack and use Fury Swipes on the Lustoat, if it's still standing. If it's not, then use Fury Swipes on the Buizel. But before you do that, I'm going to give you this X-Attack. So that way, your attack with be restored to normal and you'll have a short attack gain."

Hopefully Teddy's three moves will do wonders for Sengjin. In total, the Lustoat will be taking two Fake Tears, severely lowering its Special Defense and leaving it open for a Bubblebeam. And with the X-Attack and focus, Teddy's attack will be back to normal and have a +1 bonus for two turns.

"Now, Raymond. I want you to use two Bubblebeams on the Lustoat. Its special defense is already lowered severely, so hopefully you'll be able to knock it out."

Sengjin REALLYYY hoped that the Bubblebeam would knock out the Lustoat, but he knew that there was the level difference. Maybe the poison could knock out the Lustoat and yadayayayasdfjaskfjlsajfksa.

For a basic summary of my post. I ordered my Teddiursa to use Fake Tears on the Lustoat, so I can soften him up for two Bubblebeams from my Shellder. Then I will give my Teddiursa an X-Attack and have him focus on his attack. If the Lustoat is knocked out by the two bubblebeams and toxic, then he'll use Fury Swipes on the Buizel. If not, then he'll use Fury Swipes on the Lustoat.

In My Little White Room Again
“Tee hee hee~!” giggled your opponent, slightly covering her mouth with her hand in attempt to prevent her giggles from filling the air. She seemed very haughty about this battle…maybe it was because this succubus thought she managed to sway you with a few little words and a casual wink of her luscious eye? Or maybe it was because that she saw that you were at a major disadvantage when it came to level differences. Hm. Well one could only assume that it had to be a combination of the two. But anyways, let’s continue shall we?

After having Teddy ingest the X-Attack, Raymond went into action immediately. The little clam hummed as he summoned a fury of bubbles to explode before and as they raced across to the enemy –smacking hard into the creatures fur. Lustoat wailed from the attack, and quickly brought his mind to focus at the sound of her trainer’s voice: “Lustoat, dodge the next one hurry! Buizel, get over then and intercept the attack and then use Quick Attack on the Shellder!”

And so, with much agility the Buizel hurried over to Raymond –using Quick Attack to dash right through the Bubblebeam, almost totally unharmed. The weasel flung her body into Raymond, knocking the shell over onto his back. The little guy wiggled about, trying to roll back over so that he wouldn’t be so open to attack…but then your opponents voice raised up above the surrounding noise: “Buizel, be a dear and help the poor thing up. We don’t want this to be too easy now do we?” And so, with a sly smile on her face, the Buizel rolled Raymond over and then quickly retreated back to her trainer’s side.

But now back to Teddy. As Raymond and the Buizel were duking it out with one another, Teddy had begun to move into line of sight of Lustoat. And then, once he got her attention and with a switch of attitude, your little bear managed to force his big brown eyes to swell with tears. He began to whimper as his eyes became glossy and bloodshot, and then rubbed his paws over his eyes as he began to uncontrollably bawl. Lustoat, thinking that she had done something horribly and morally wrong, approached cautiously. That was when the little teddy attacked.

Teddy slashed his focused claws into the Lustoats face three times, causing some damage to the Alternian Native Pokemon. She hadn’t fainted, but he had lost a good amount of health in the end.

Just a note to whoever mods this next. The Lustoat should have -4 Special Defense since my Teddiursa used two Fake Tears on it. Toxic should have taken away 1/8th of Lustoat's and Buizel's HP from Crosse's post, but it looks like it might have only taken away 1/16th again. The poison should take away 3/16th of Lustoat's and Buizel's health by the mods next post. Just putting this here for the mod to see this.

This battle was now starting to get intense for Sengjin. His Shellder, Raymond, and his Teddiursa, Teddy, both pulled a good offensive measure on the Lustoat and Buizel. Now it was time to think of another strategy. The Lustoat had managed to avoid one of the two Bubblebeams, so using another two of them was no longer an option. But as luck would have it, Sengjin thought of a great strategy.

"All right, Raymond. I want you to use Clamp on the Lustoat. Then after you've done that, hold on to the Lustoat and use a Bubblebeam at point blank range!"

Hopefully the strategy would work. If Raymond was able to clamp at a vital spot of the Lustoat, then the series of clamps with the Bubblebeam should do major damage on the Lustoat. Now that Raymond's strategy was finished, it was time to go back to Teddy. Teddy, unlike Raymond, had a small move set, since Sengjin wasn't able to finish tutoring Slash. The Bear Pokemon was at a disadvantage, but Sengjin could make it work.

"Teddy, I want you to use a Leer on the Buizel. Then after that, use Fury Swipes on it. Aim for the face, neck, and chest. Get a critical hit on it!"

An evil plan, but it would surely be effective if Teddy could land the hit. After all, Pokemon are tools of war =D

This battle doesn’t seem to be going overly in your favor so far, but hopefully with your newly-advanced tactics, this battle will turn around for you. After receiving your orders, your two pokemon gave a nod, (or more like a shrug in Raymond’s case,) and set to work. The opposing trainer gave you a confident smirk, as this fight has been going her way since the start. But now it’s time to put her in her place, eh?

First, we’ll look to your Shellder and the opponent’s Lustoat. Feeling your new plan, Raymond shot forward, somehow darting across the battlefield towards his target. The opponent’s Lustoat looked like it was ready for the attack, but just as Raymond drew close, you could see her color deepen another shade of green. The Lustoat attempted a Pound attack, but it couldn’t muster more than a Tail Whip as your Shellder Clamped down upon it.
It then started to inhale for an Ember attack, when Raymond released his Bubblebeam at point-blank range, the bubbles crashing into the fur with a great deal of force. So much so, that you’re a little weirded out by the power. They are just bubbles, after all.

Now let’s switch over to Teddy and his Buizel adversary. Your little teddy bear began to leer at the Buizel, letting her know that he meant business. However, the Buizel just let out a resounding Growl in response, causing the two to become void as the exchange pretty much just canceled the other out. However, as Teddy began to charge forward, the Buizel let out another Sonic Boom. It hit, but your Teddiursa was in midjump already, leaving the little water pokemon open for the Fury Swipes! One, two, three, four! Looks like your Teddy has some fight left in him, even for being so cute.

The point-blank Bubblebeam strategy worked wonders, and easily put down the Lustoat. However, the Ember still managed to connect, and though Raymond is resistant to fire, the level difference still let it do some damage. Your pokemon are both winded, but now you’re on a more even footing…or perhaps this is even more in your favor.

Sengjin watched as Raymond clamped onto the Lustoat and... clamped the living hell out of the fire Pokemon. The damage from that and the point-blank Bubblebeam did its job and knocked out the Lustoat. Sengjin smiled and looked at the girl, who was beginning to look a little disappointed. Or maybe she was still happy, Sengjin couldn't tell.

"Oh yeah! Way to go, Raymond!"

Sengjin's words of encouragement seemed to lighten Raymond's mood a little. The Shell Pokemon was getting tired, but this battle was going to end soon. It was now two on one and it seemed pretty even. He began to think of a strategy on how to take the Buizel down, without knocking out any of his Pokemon. All Pokemon were low in health, but the Buizel still had the level advantage. But Sengjin thought of a plan that would hopefully work well. Sengjin quickly ran to his Pokemon and got into a little huddle, so that way, no one but the three of them would know what was going on.

"All right, here's our strategy. Raymond, I want you to play dead and pretend you got knocked out. Teddy, I want you to carry Raymond and go over to the Buizel. When you get there, I want you to use Fake Tears again and try to make the Buizel feel bad for the both of you. Hopefully, the Buizel will be distracted, so Raymond I want you to use a Clamp on the Buizel. Teddy, if the Clamp works, then I want you to go in with a Scratch attack. If everything goes according to plan, then this battle should be over in one more turn."

Sengjin got up and backed away from the huddle. It was now Raymond's cue to play dead. Hopefully, he won't disappoint. If he did, then the entire plan would fail. Well, maybe not the entire plan, but the majority of it.

The plan was actually a fairly tricky one, and thankfully, your pokemon saw through the one flaw in your plan: the Buizel was already kind of aware that Raymond wasn’t unconscious, being that he had managed to hop back from his encounter with the Lustoat. However, the Shellder hopped over towards the Buizel, letting his tongue stick out in a Staredown, taunt-type attack, goading the Buizel into doing something.

The weasel let out a low growl (not the attack, just in anger,) and used a Quick Attack, ramming full force into the Shellder. Raymond went flying backward in an over-exaggerated fashion, lying upon the ground near Teddy as he let his tongue loll out, doing a very good job in making himself appear unconscious. Maybe a bit over the top, but the Buizel looked rather confident in itself; it looked like the job had gotten done well.

Teddy then looked to Raymond, and his eyes suddenly got very large, much like Puss ‘n Boots from Shrek, and he picked up the ‘knocked out’ Shellder, before moving over to the Buizel, mumbling in its own language as large tears fell from its eyes, doing a rather fine job of looking absolutely pathetic.

The Buizel now looked rather sad and ashamed at what it had done as Teddy continued to cry, practically bawling by now. It looked down, nudging the ground with its toe. It was right about then that Raymond sprang to life, Clamping down on the Buizel’s face. The weasel flipped out, then, but Teddy was there, delivering a Scratch attack to its exposed chest. And since the Buizel had no way to defend itself, the Scratch was a Critical Hit! The Buizel went down, Raymond hopping a short distance away.

The two looked tired, but elated at their victory.

:shellder earned 19.5 Experience!

Raymond advanced to Level 8 with 16.5 Experience left over!
Raymond Learned Supersonic!
Raymond advanced to Level 9 with 8.5 Experience left over!

:teddiursa earned 15.2 Experience!

Teddy advanced to Level 10 with 10.7 Experience left over!
Teddy advanced to Level 11 with .7 Experience left over!

The female trainer looked at you, a cross between anger and surprise on her face. “What’s your name, cutie?” she asked, though you didn’t think that, from the look on her face nor the tone in her voice that she wanted to congratulate you by name. She looked rather…irritable.

Well, the plan sort of worked, but at least Raymond and Teddy knocked out the Buizel. They even got a good amount of experience for the battle, so yay! Sengjin returned Raymond and Teddy to their Pokeballs and walked over to the girl. The girl seemed slightly dissapointed at Sengjin, but also a little... happy? In fact, from the distance the girl looked really beautiful, but once he got closer and closer, he started to see that she wasn't... that beautiful... Still though, Sengjin walked up to the girl and extended his hand for a handshake.

"Hey there, my name's Sengjin. What's yours? You... fine thing..."

He stood there and waited for the girl's response. He didn't want to stay around, he needed to heal his Pokemon and either start move tutoring again or start training some more. The Tournament of Aegis is right around the corner, so maybe move tutoring was a good idea. Then again, maybe he could just gain a few more levels so his team will be more balanced and stronger. Decisions, decisions, decisions... Yes, I used those last few, pointless sentences to meet my ten sentence requirement.

Derping... All Day, Every Day!

"Sengjin." The girl repeated you. She took your hand gently, shaking it just as gently as her grip. While shaking her hand, you could feel her smooth skin. Mentioned, you found her kind of pretty, but she released her hand from the grip you had it in, and put her hands on her hips. "Well, it was a nice battle." She smiled, but surveyed the surroundings. "I better be off to the Pokemon Center. Thanks, but I got to get on to new things. Good luck in the future." With that, she gave a strange, kind smile.

Wow. A quick end and goodbye to battle and girl. Now you stood alone, but had plans. Pokemon Center. That is where you wanted to go. You walked a little ways, but found it with ease. Nurse Joy, the typical nurse, had taken your pokemon, returning them seconds later. Don't you love how quick she works? Anyway, you left the building with a decision to make. To tutor and get your pokemon's attacks situated for the new tournament, or level them up to make them just as formidable.

Sengjin shook the girl's hand and felt her smooth skin. She quickly left before he could say goodbye. It's not like it mattered anyway; Sengjin wasn't interested in a relationship. Besides, it's Alternia... After the girl left, Sengjin went to the Pokemon Center and healed his Pokemon. He left the building and was carrying a brochure of the Tournament of Aegis. The tournament sure got Sengjin curious. He hasn't battled many people before, and this tournament could really test his abilities as a trainer. His Pokemon were also well built. Raymond, Hurf Durf, and Spearow had a decent arsenal of moves, but Teddy was still lacking. This could be a good time for move tutoring, but maybe it's also a good time to train. In fact, maybe Sengjin could find a Pokemon that he really wants.

There were plenty of Pokemon that Sengjin wanted. One of the Pokemon that Sengjin wanted was a Beedrill. The Pokemon shouldn't be THAT hard to find. There are billions of insects in the world, so there should be at least one Beedrill within Sengjin's vicinity. Or maybe Sengjin could get lucky and find some other Pokemon that he finds interesting. This tournament was certainly making Sengjin think a lot. There are so many possibilities, but little time.

Move tutoring? No. Right now, Sengjin wants another battle or a wild Pokemon encounter. Or maybe Sengjin could move tutor AND battle at the same time... Hmm.

In My Little White Room Again
So. You want to look for a Beedrill, am I right? Hm, well I’m in a rather decent mood so I’m happy to tell you that this little ref of yours will be at least, somewhat, enjoyable! But I’ll stop my little antics for now and begin you and your quest for the malicious insect, or something else that may spark your interest.

You and your previous opponent quickly departed, leaving you all of the time in the world to make your way into the Pokemon Center and heal up your team. The nurse collected your team and rushed them off behind the stark white doors for them to be promptly healed, and then returned to you not long after. “Here are you Pokemon. Please come again!” she said with a polite smile, before turning away and tending to the other trainers that flooded into the Centre. Well, now that was done and with your brochure of the upcoming tournament in tow, you made your way out of the centre.

The sun was setting, casting an array of purples, oranges, and red across the sky. The day was coming to an end, so it was best to move quickly and look for your desired Pokemon before it ran off to sleep and the malicious creatures of the night clawed their way out of their damp caverns. You listened carefully for any sounds of life as you continued down a beaten path, and then, a sharp cry and then an influx of humming sounds.

Assuming that you would investigate the source of the noise, I will say that you hurried off down to try and locate the source of the noise. You eventually came to an area where a handful of tree’s erected from the ground. It wasn’t a forest, rather, it seemed as if the trees had been planted their by man as a way to “help the earth”. Quietly looking around one of the tree trunks, you could see a Beedrill…a big ass swarm of Beedrill that were swooping from tree to tree, punching their needled arms into the air and hissing.

PIKA! PIKAA!” cried a Pikachu, who was stuck in the middle of the swarm. The little tyke allowed a few sparks of electricity to shoot from his cheeks to intimidate the wasps, but to no success. The flew down one by one, trying to slam their stingers hard into the little mouse. “Pika! Pikaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!” the yellow rodent cried, sending of a thundershock to two of his many enemys. The creatures faltered in their flight pattern, but quickly recovered and continued to try and strike down the small Pikachu.
