Sengjin followed the kid out of the building and started to be even more concerned as to what was going to happen next. The kid threatened to burn the rest of the man's face for Pete's sake... what a little psycho. Anyway, in too deep to back out now, he slipped through the hole in the fence and made his way to a boarded up window. For a safe house, the building certainly didn't live up to its name. The concrete walls were falling apart and the windows were boarded up, the young trainer wondered why they were. Perhaps it was to keep people from coming in. Maybe it the windows were boarded up to keep people in... Pull off the board and crawl through? Sengjin thought to himself. He backed up a bit to see if there was another way into the building, but before he could find another entrance, the kid already took the initiative and started to attempt to remove the boards. A small but very noticeable noise was made when he pulled the board off and when the kid asked Sengjin if he thought anyone heard him, he softly replied, "I sure as hell hope not..."

They were inside now. There was a pungent smell that defined the room, making Sengjin even more worried that things were only going to get worse from here. Because, if it smells bad, then things are going to end up bad. The young trainer walked up to one of the cloth covered furniture and touched it with his fingers. Only a little bit of dust was on his fingertips, he started to think that maybe the furniture was covered not too long ago. The kid went ahead to scout out the area, leaving Sengjin alone for now. He continued to explore the building, walking through a doorway and into a hallway. It was here that he was beginning to feel uneasy. Something was off, but he didn't know what. He removed a pokeball from his belt and held it in his hand, ready to send out Raymond if anything were to suddenly jump out.

The young trainer heard a noise behind him but wasn't sure if he should turn around or not. After fighting the thought of whether to turn around or not, he eventually did and saw a man standing there just a few feet away from him. Sengjin backed up into the room where he first entered and quickly sent out Raymond, not even responding to the man Sengjin gave his orders to Raymond. "Raymond, focus on your special attack and use two bubblebeams on the michi!"

So I agree with Roku: this safe house was just not that safe. Hell, you found some rough-looking thug in there, and now the situation just got a little more sticky. But you've been through worse, right? I mean, you took out a few poachers trying to capture a poor little Scyther, and look where you are now... Okay, don't look where you are now, but at least you're alive.

The man yelled, "Come on now, use a couple of Bites. Crack the damn shell of that crab with your teeth!" Really? A crab? This guy does NOT read up on his Wikipedia articles. Anyway, Michi's presence itself gave off an Intimidating vibe, but it didn't look like Raymond was using physical attacks anyhow. Instead, he focused on his Special Attack, to make his Bubblebeams a little stronger.

Unfortunately, Michi was raring to take a chunk out of Raymond (though I don't suppose he knows how to do that). He bit into Raymond's hard shell, but despite the shell, your Shellder Flinched. Michi immediately bit Raymond again, but luckily he didn't flinch the second time. That allowed him to release a point-blank Bubblebeam right into Michi's chest. That backed him up a little bit, you know, being thrown across the room like a rag doll and stuff. It also slowed him down a little; Bubblebeam was working its magic. "Tch, you are going down." No sir, I think it's YOU that's going down...

Being a trainer was not what Sengjin expected it to be like. Looking back, he went through a ton of crazy stuff, stuff that a young kid shouldn't go through. He went with a group of poachers and had to fight them off in the middle of nowhere, not your typical teenage life... Anyway, now he was back in another crazy situation, battling this crazy guy in this sketchy building. All because he agreed to help this kid... The battle so far was in his favor, a strong bubblebeam landed on the michi knocking off a good amount of health. A flinch delayed the battle slightly, but Sengjin was confident that a few more should take the michi out. "Alright, Raymond, let's use the same strategy again. Two bubblebeams and stay on your toes to try and avoid any incoming attacks."

While Raymond prepared for his attack, Sengjin wondered where the kid went. Did he have any pokemon on him? Sengjin forgot if the kid ran ahead with or without any protection. He started to get concerned about the kid, then again, he was kind of crazy so Sengjin didn't feel too scared for the kid.

A Shellder staying on its toes? That's a pretty funny idea, considering they don't really have any toes! Anyway, getting back to the subject, let's discuss the battle. Let's see how the action flies!

The man was scowling. Perhaps the match wasn't going as well as he wanted it to. He bit his lip before bursting out his next orders.

"Dang, this nut is tougher to crack than I thought. Alright, Michi get in there and Bite it again! Then follow up with a Faint Attack! We gotta teach this little punk a lesson!"

Raymond was able to get the first attack off first, and was still boosted from the previous Focus attack. Generating some energy and water, your Shellder let off a stream of bubbles that pierced through the air and aimed right for the Michi. The dark type was definately not able to get out of the way. The Bubblebeam cut deep, and definately left an impact. However the Michi wasn't out for the count, and clamped his little jaws down tight.

Raymond wasn't a pushover either. He got ready to fire his second Bubblebeam. This one was point blank, leaving a massive amount of damage. It also sent Michi flying. Once the dark type got back to his feet, you could tell he definately was moving slightly slower. The second Bubblebeam must've lowered its speed! However, the match wasn't quite over yet. Michi glanced fearfully behind Raymond, causing him to glance back. It was then that Michi got off the Faint Attack, which left your Shellder smarting, but not unconscious.

Well both Pokemon were at their limits, but you had the slight speed advantage. Momentum was with you by a thread, but you had a chance to deliver the knockout blow next turn. Decision time, trainer! How do you want to handle this?

Both trainers landed their shots, Sengjin landing more than his opponent. His opponent's michi was nearly down for the count, able to be taken down with one more blow. Sengjin snickered, knowing that he was frustrating his opponent and was causing him to think irrationally. After all, losing a battle is one of the worst things to happen to a pokemon trainer. Since his opponent wasn't thinking clearly, the young trainer knew that he would be able to capitalize on any mistake that his opponent would make and use that to win the battle. With that confidence, he gave out his next orders that would finish the michi and end the battle. He needed the battle to be over so he could continue to help the youngster find his pokemon. "Okay, Raymond, use one more bubblebeam to end this battle. The michi is barely hanging on, you can do it!" Raymond prepared his tiny shell for the attack, preparing to launch the most powerful bubblebeam ever. Or simply a bubblebeam powerful enough to knock out the michi. Yeah, most likely that one. The battle was coming to an end and Sengjin was started to think about where he should go next in the abandoned building. The kid he was with said that he would give him a signal, but what exactly did he mean by that? After the battle, he figured that going down the hallway and following the kid's footsteps would be the best thing to do.

In My Little White Room Again

[Watch Your Ass Bro :U]

Raymond narrowed his eyes and hopped forwards towards his enemy. The little Michi growled and stepped forwards as well, pretending to not be intimidated by his elemental disadvantage. As a matter of fact though, he was devastated. He knew that he stood no chance against the water type, but he also knew that he couldn't back out of this battle either. The punishment he would get from his trainer would probably be twice as worse as getting some acid, I uh, mean water, thrown in his face. Reeling back a little to build up power, Raymond released a massive stray of bubbles towards the little fire time. They slammed into the Michi again and again and again; the attack literally caused the Michi to backflip over himself and land flat on his face. By the time the attack had finished, the Michi had no strength left; he was down on the ground, unconscious.

The thug snarled and returned his fire type into its spherical mechanism. He then turned to you, flustered with anger and from the embarrassment of being defeated by a child, and then pulled another Pokeball off his belt. "I'm not done yet, you little brat!" he yelled as he tossed the Pokeball onto the tiled floor. In a flash a Houndour appeared on the scene. Really? You didn't learn from the last fight that you and your fire type Pokemon are just going to get swamped? Oh well, more experience for you I guess, right?

After the michi was knocked out, Sengjin celebrated thinking that the battle was over. But when his opponent sent out a houndour, he realized that the battle had just begun. Or that perhaps this houndour was his last Pokemon and if he defeated the houndour, then the battle would be over... Anyway, the young trainer thought about what he should for this turn. He had the type advantage against the houndour, but he was worried that Raymond was too weak to take any hits from the enemy houndour. Switching to Hurf Durf, scyther, or Beebee wasn't an option, they'd get decimated by any fire attack. Teddy was also an option, but he didn't have an advantage over the houndour like how Raymond did. He decided to risk it and keep Raymond in, hoping that two bubblebeams would be enough to end this battle. "Okay, Raymond. Use two bubblebeams and stay light on your, erm, shell. Do your best to dodge the attacks from the houndour." There was a risk, but he hoped that luck would be on this side, for there was a great reward if things went his way. Speaking of which, he hoped that he would get a reward at the end of this journey. He forgot if the young kid promised him one, he hoped that the young kid would compensate him for going through this crazy journey.

Well, your shellder got enough exp to level up in the middle of the fight (didn't quite make two levels I'm afraids), giving him a tiny amount of HP back towards his total. It was only a smidgen but every little helps, right?

"Hit that annoying little blighter with an ember," the rough trainer called as Raymond blasted off an impressive Bubblebeam. Houndour reacted instantly, firing a weak ember attack that bypassed the incoming bubbles to strike feebling against the water type's shell. The bubblebeam from your shellder was far more effective and Raymond had no trouble at all landing the second.

That was all it took. The battle was over the second that vicious bubblebeam struck. Houndour crumped to the ground, defeated. His trainer blustered around a bit, a second guy appearing looking just as flustered. The two left in a hurry.

Red, -yay names-, reappeared and indicated you to follow him. Seems he'd been the one to handle the other thug. Wasn't that grand?!

Anyway. If you follow Red you can heal your pokémon and carry on investigating this so called Safehouse. What are you going to do? Red wasn't hanging around and has already run on ahead. QUICK! Follow him or leave the way you came. Your call.

Lady Luck must have been on Sengjin's and Raymond's side, for he was able to knock out the houndour in two blows while his partner was still tired and hurt from his opponent's michi. The young trainer celebrated for a moment while his opponent, and his friend who came shortly after the battle, fled and left him and Red, who finally revealed his name, alone in the seemingly abandoned safe house. "You managed to come at the right time," the young trainer said. With the battle now over, he followed Red and continued to search around the safe house for his pokemon that was stolen from him. He had no clue what was going to happen as they dug deeper into the rabbit hole, he couldn't help but shake the feeling that something terrible was going to happen. They were dealing with Pokemon thieves, after all, the worst kinds of people. He hoped that his own pokemon would be able to protect him, but more importantly, hoped that he would be able to protect his pokemon from being stolen. They continued their search in the safe house, things starting to seem more damaged and unsafe as they progressed. He kept his hands near his belt, ready to call out any of his pokemon in case something jumped out at them. Red seemed pretty calm, something about him left an uneasy feeling that Sengjin was unable to get rid of. He hoped that Red wasn't planning to do anything other than get his pokemon back.

Red kept quiet for a time as you searched the warehouse. He was worried about the pokémon,
and determined find any other thieves that may be lurking in his hell hole. He paused for a
moment and looked at you. "Promise me you'll stay with me to the end..." he said
after a few seconds. He was desperate to put a stop to the thieves operations but he'd need
your strength to do so.

Without waiting for you to answer, Red grabbed you by the arm and pulled you into a nearby
room. It was... different in this room. It felt calmer and nicer than any part of the warehouse
you had searched so far. There was aparatus all around and in the center was what looked
oddly like the machines Pokémon Centers use to heal trainers pokémon.

Red pointed to it. It was actually a good idea. Heal up your pokémon for surely there are
trials ahead. Go on, don't be afraid! Just pop your pokéballs in there. As you did so, the
machine sprang into life, red beams running over the balls. After a few moments, there was
a beep to signal that the healing was done. Pokémon fully healed and ready to go, it's time
to move on.

Suddenly, from nowhere, a faint crying. It sounded like a pokémon... maybe two!
Red sprinted through a door at the far end of the room without so much as a word to you.

What now? Follow him or leave?

Pokémon have been fully healed!

As Sengjin was following Red, he noticed that he was very quiet as they continued their search. Was he quiet because he was angry that his pokemon were stolen or was he quiet because he was very concerned about the safety of his pokemon? Whatever the reason was, he hoped he was mentally stable and that they would make it out of the building safely. At one point in their search, Red asked Sengjin to stay with him until the end. The young trainer replied, "Don't worry, I'm here until the end." He just hoped that nothing bad would happen to them that would cause them to not see the end.

They arrived in a room and both trainers saw a healing machine in it, the kind that one would see in a pokemon center. Sengjin knew that the machine wasn't there on accident, it was there so others could heal their pokemon, too. Here he realized that they weren't alone and there were still more people in the building. The machine itself, though, seemed safe to use, so he placed his pokeballs in the machine and activated it to heal and re-energize his team. As his team was being healed, he saw fingerprints that were embedded in the metal chrome, now he knew for sure that they weren't alone. Shortly after, a faint cry was heard by both trainers. Sengjin had no idea where it was, but Red did, sprinting in the direction where the noise came from. "Wait! Hold on!" he said, quickly putting his pokeballs back on his belt holders. He ran in the direction where Red went, uneasy about where he was going to be taken next.

Well isn't this place...nice? I mean it may be a nasty hell hole filled with thugs and criminals but they do know how to decorate. I simply must ask them who their interior designer is. However, that can all wait, because you've got some Poke-nabbers to catch! Not waiting for you, Red sprinted down the many halls and through several doors to find the source of the cry. Barely keeping up, you managed to find him at the entrance to a rather large room. Holy strudel, batman! The walls were lined with all sorts of beautiful gems and jewels! You could see diamonds, topazes, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, opal, amethyst, you name it! Any rock that shines and begs women to buy them, you'll find them in here. On the other side of the room you saw those two grunts from before with something in their arms, but what? You couldn't tell.

Well, Red certainly could. "Hey! Give them back!" The thugs made their way through the door and Red was in hot pursuit. Well, you've come this far, haven't you? Following the boy, you made your way through a series of hallways, always hearing a faint cry of some sort. It sounded like it could be coming from anywhere, but Red somehow knew where to go to follow it. He must have some kind of special bond with whatever they were holding to be able to know where to go in this labyrinth.

Suddenly, the lights cut out, stopping you both in your tracks. Before you could figure out what was going on, they came back on and the cries and the thugs were gone. Thankfully, there was only a straight path from here. Not hesitating, the two of you went through the door at the end of the hall. You found yourselves in a room with three hallways, each leading to Arceus knows where. As you stepped into the room, a portcullis dropped down and barred the door shut Legend of Zelda style. Well, nowhere to go but forward from here.

"They could've gone anywhere. Should we stick together, or split up?" Before you could answer, Red dashed down the hallway to the right. Well, you could follow him or go on a different path. Maybe the thieves split up! Or maybe they stuck together. Maybe they went right! Or maybe they didn't. Really they could've gone anywhere. Make a choice, take a chance, left right or middle. The choice is yours, trainer!

As both of the young trainers ran down the hallway, every room that they passed by were old, decrepit, and needed some much deserved furnishing. After passing by these rooms, they then entered a large room where the walls were valuable gems. The room certainly stood out from the others. In this room, however, were the same two thugs that Red and Sengjin had met earlier. They had something in their arms but he was unable to figure out what it was. He knew that it was something of value to Red since he chased after them after the two thugs had fled. The young trainer had no choice but to follow Red and see where the two thugs were going to take them next.

After running through many hallways and hearing the sounds of a faint cry, they reached a point of no return when a gate dropped down behind them, stopping them from going back to where they came from. They were in a room that led to three hallways, any one of them could be where the thugs went. When Red asked if they should stay together or split up, Sengjin was more open to staying together, but he said to Red, "We'll cover more ground it we split up. You take a hallway and I'll take this one," he pointed to the middle hallway. As Red ran off in one hallway, Sengjin went down the middle one, walking at a slow comfortable place to make sure nothing would suddenly jump out at him. "I should have taken some gems from the wall," said Sengjin. He started to pick up the pace as he ventured deeper, the faster this was over, the better.

The two of you split up, covering more ground that way. You walked slowly down the hall, making sure there were no unwanted surprises. So far so good, nothing seemed to jump out at you. Just a basic warehouse hallway. Dank lighting, standard white walls and tile floor. It looks right out of the 1970s. Still, it did give a sort of retro feel. There were no doors on either side of you, so it looks like you'll just have to take it until the end. After a few minutes of walking it turned a corner, and you bumped right into a grunt! After the two of you recovered from the blow, it took a moment to realize you were enemies. Was this one of the same guys as before? It was hard to tell, you couldn't really get a good look as they were running away. He didn't have anything in his hands, so it could go either way.

"Oy! Wha' you doin' 'ere?" He threw open a Pokeball revealing the most menacing looking Purrloin I've ever seen. The cat hissed at you as you approached. Looks like you'll have to battle this guy to move forward, and it won't do any good to run away. Or you could beg for mercy, or join his side, or offer to make him a delicious brisket if he lets you go. But those options don't seem so good. Well, the brisket does. I could sure go for some brisket right about now.

This hallway seems to be going on forever, Sengjin thought to himself. There were no doors in the hallway, just walls and a straight line that eventually turned to a corner. As the young trainer went around the corner, he bumped into someone, both of them being knocked down on their butts. His vision was slightly blurry for a moment, a slight pain coming from the back of his head; as he fell down, he hit the back of his head pretty hard. As his vision started to clear up, he saw that it was another thug that he ran into. He wasn't sure if the thug he just bumped into was the one from when they were in the room full of jewellry. He didn't get a good look at the other thug (he knew what one of the thugs looked like, since he battle him). That didn't matter, though, because Sengjin was in danger once again. Sure, his opponent sent out a purrloin, but he was still in some kind of danger.

He quickly got up and sent out his scyther, immediately giving orders to take out the purrloin. "Okay, scyther, focus on your special attack and then use two vacuum waves. Your technician boost will add an extra punch to it, show that purrloin what you're made of!" A battle in a hallway was a first for Sengjin, he wondered how it was going to play out. There wasn't much room to maneuver, so any attempts of dodging an attack seemed to be useless. There was always a possibility of expanding the hallway by tearing down the walls, but Sengjin didn't want to do that. Even though the building seemed abandoned, he thought that maybe someone would use it in the future.
