Millenia Town Sending out your wounded Shellder again? Maybe no the best idea. Rabbit and her Nidorina were a little confused as well, but hey maybe that could work for you. Scyther returned to his Pokeball with dignity (if not a little bit of disappointment). Raymond came back out with a look on his face that said "WTF are you TRYING to get me killed!?" Unfortunately his poison hadn't worn off so he was still losing some health because of that. Still, despite all of this he did his best to do what you asked. Raymond hopped onto the still surprised Nidorina's head and Clamped down. It did moderate damage, but the point-blank Bubblebeam was what really put the hurt on her. Both attacks hit hard before Rabbit could issue any commands. "Nyra throw that thing off of you and use a Double Kick to knock it out cold." Nyra complied with her orders, ripping Raymond off her head and slamming him into the ground. Before he could move out of the way the Nidorina delivered a swift Double Kick. Needless to say the attack knocked him right out. Poor Raymond. Oh well, he was still able to get in a good hit or two. Nyra was getting annoyed now. She had just been shoved across the ground, humiliated, and now she had a shell thing clamp onto her head and get a cheap shot in. This was one pissed off dinosaur. You've gotta send something out to fight that bubbling mass of anger. Now that Scyther's been switched out of combat, all his stat-ups have been eliminated. That may not have been the best plan, but that's all in the past now. For now you need to think of who to send out to beat this chick. Don't forget, she has one Pokemon left after this, so don't burn yourself out yet. Team Sengjin Team Rabbit

/facepalm D'OH, Sengjin thought to himself. He sighed in embarassment, that was a fail on his part forgetting that Raymond was already weak from before... He returned Raymond back into his pokeball and sent his scyther back out, who was a little bit confused after just being switched out. He quickly figured out the situation though and got himself ready for battle, ready to defeat this nidorina. His stat boosts were gone, but thanks to the assault from Raymond, the nidorina was severely weakened and ready to be sent back to her pokeball. Back to where she belongs, OH SNAP! "Okay, scyther, let's see if we can end this battle now. Use a swords dance to boost your attack again. After you've done that, use your scythes things and strike the nidorina!" Usually a normal strike wouldn't do much damage, but Sengjin hoped that with a swords dance boost and scyther's razor sharp scythes, something that no other pokemon has, it would do some devastating damage. Like a hot knife through butter, or something like that. Not literally though, because if scyther's a knife and the nidorina is hot butter... Then... Yowch. Soon after, his poketech rang again, the young trainer won $150 for matching two numbers. After buying more tickets, he put his poketech away and got his mind back on the battle, because really needed to pay more attention... |

This battle Sengjin was fighting didn't exactly go the way he wanted it to go, but here he knew that this round was over for his opponent. Scyther was still fresh and the opponent's nidorina was close to falling; a few more strikes should put her away. He saw that his opponent had another pokeball in her hand, switching would have been a good choice if she wanted to save her nidorina, but she thought for too long and it was too late. Scyther went on the offensive, starting off with a swords dance to boost his attack and then going in, striking the nidorina with his scythes. "Hmm, not enough to finish this nidorina..." Sengjin muttered to himself. "No matter. Scyther, let's finish this now. Get in there and strike that nidorina again. After you do that, quickly follow it up with a quick attack. Hit her. Hard." As Sengjin waited for scyther to attack, the young trainer looked at his opponent and wondered what pokemon she was going to send out next. He hoped it would be one that Hurf Durf could take out, he hasn't seen much action lately... Or perhaps he was going to see one of the new types of pokemon he was hearing about. If so, he hoped that the pokemon she sent out would be a lot cooler than Alomomola. |

Head of Registration - The Exploding Train

Millenia Town The battle was clearly going your way. The poison-type was obviously outmatched by the pure power your Scyther possessed. Needless to say, you were correct in your assumption. The Nidorina wasn't going to last another round. Rabbit panicked and shouted out the first orders that came to her head. "Oh! Oh! Try and hit it with two Scratch attacks!" Your Scyther cooly and calmly snuck in and struck the Nidorina with a knee to the jaw, causing a healthy portion of damage. Nidorina looked to strike back by Scratching out your bug-type's eyes, but she tripped over her own feet. The move went awry, causing a miss! Putting on an impressive boost of speed, Scyther finished the Poison type with a Quick Attack. The scythes cut deep, eliciting a massive yelp of pain from the Nidorina. All that was left was for the Poison type to collapse onto the ground. This round was yours! As Scyther returned to await the next orders, Rabbit recalled her Nidorina, murmuring words of encouragement for the fallen warrior. Reaching for her belt, she selected her next Pokemon. "Go, Crispy!" The white flash of light revealed a floating orb of fire with one eye and a mischievous look. Hopefully you knew your Pokemon enough to recognize just exactly what you were fighting! Well now what, trainer? Do you stick with your Scyther? Swap out for a new Pokemon? Your choice. Level 15 45/55 59%+2 Attack vs :impyre Level 17 59/59 100%

Things went perfectly for Sengjin; he smirked when scyther finished off the weak nidorina. His opponent returned the fallen nidorina and sent out a pokemon that Sengjin had not seen before. He took out his pokedex and when it scanned the other pokemon, it revealed that it was an impyre, a pokemon native to Alternia. Interesting to say the least, although he was a little concerned that it was a fire/ghost type. He looked at his team and realized that scyther, Hurf Durf, and Beebee, half his team, were weak to fire; for future reference, get another pokemon for a more balanced team. The only other one left on his team that could take on the impyre was Teddy, so the young trainer returned scyther and sent out Teddy. "Okay, Teddy, now's your time to shine. This guy is a fire and ghost type so I want you to focus your attack, then go in for two faint attacks. Play it smart and be light on your feet, with any luck, we'll take this guy down easily." Teddy got prepared for battle, starting to act on the orders given by Sengjin. The young trainer looked at his opponent and saw that her composure was starting to change. He waited for her to make eye contact with him, and when she did, he winked at her. Smooth. |

Millenia Town So you decided to withdraw your Scyther and send out your adorable Teddiursa, wise decision my friend. Not only was Scyther at a type disadvantage, but also he lacked two levels from your new foe, and Teddy was only short by one. So like I said, good call. Your little bear cub stretched upon his arrival, and then he turned and looked at you with his paw in his mouth, which made him look even more adorable. The cub then turned back around, and looked at the odd creature in front of him. He had never seen anything like it, but that wouldn’t stop him from kicking some horned fireball ass! You quickly gave your pokemon his orders, and the little bear sprung into action. The bear cub quickly began focusing on his attack. He concentrated hard on becoming stronger, and causing his physical attacks to pack more of a punch then normal, thus causing his attack status to rise. The bear then took of charging at his target, and then sort of just vanished. It was quite an odd sight to see to be honest. I mean you could expect something like this from a ghost type pokemon, but certainly not from a normal type baby bear. Anyways, for the time being your Teddiursa had become invisible. He quickly ran up to the floating fireball, which was slightly confused on what had just taken place, and when the pokemon least expected, Teddy reappeared and smacked his foe with some pretty strong dark type energy. Before the Impyre could even react, Teddy had vanished again, leaving no signs of even being where he had been seconds before. The ball of fire shifted uneasily back and forth, constantly looking from left to right, looking for some sign of evidence where Teddy could possibly be, such a shame it didn’t stop to think behind it. Just like before Teddy quickly appeared and smashed into his foe yet again, dealing some pretty darn good damage. Your bear quickly began running back towards you, but while his back was turned the Impyre struck. A powerful Ember flew through the air, and hit Teddy right in the back, sending the cub forward doing somersaults, and before he could even get back up on his feet he was hit with another one! The Impyre would end this round by focusing on its Special Attack, raising the stat and the power of his special moves. It was kind of weird however, because during all of this, you didn’t hear his trainer speak a word. Maybe they had some weird connection where she just let him battle his own battles, then again maybe he just saw an opportunity to land a few hits and took it. I don’t know, but what I do know is that this round was now over, and that both sides took some good damage. You Versus! Foe OOC: If you have any concerns or questions about this Ref, feel free to PM me. :] Edited by Vlad, Oct 27 2011, 01:30 AM.

This new opponent that Sengjin and Teddy were facing seemed like it was going to bring a whole new set of problems to the battle. While at first it seemed that way, things were actually going fairly well for the duo. The faint attacks by Teddy, like always, were perfect and nailed very good damage on the impyre; a few more of 'em should be able to take it down. The young trainer had a good feeling that this battle was going to end in his favor so he started to think of the things he was going to do after this battle was over. One thing that he needed to do was rearrange his team, not only that but he also had to sell some stuff to the pokemart. Before getting too distracted, he gave Teddy his next orders, which were simply, "Two more faint attacks, and hit the impyre hard." A big thing on Sengjin's mind was his team. When he saw the impyre, he realized that Raymond was his only good defense against fire types; he was lucky to have Teddy who could provide hard hits. Another water pokemon could be a good addition to the team, but which one, he didn't know. While he pondered the thought of who could be added to his team, Teddy got prepared for battle and readied for his assault on the impyre. |

Millenia Town Jeez this battle's been going on for what seems like months....ahem....anyway, your Teddy looked pretty confident he'd win this battle. Rabbit looked like she would put a pin in that bubble of yours, however. A little disgusted by your wink, she rolled her eyes and gave her commands. "Crispy use a Confuse Ray and another Ember." Confuse Ray? Uh-oh, that's a little nasty. The little ball of fire sent out the ghostly ball of energy, and despite Teddy's best efforts he fell victim to the attack. Stumbling around in a confused state he was very vulnerable. Crispy took advantage of this. The Ember wasn't too bad, not nearly bad enough to cause your Teddy to pass out. Still, it was a strong enough hit to shock some lucidity back into the bear. His two Faint Attacks were pretty darn good, and in fact were just enough to end the battle in your favour! Hooray! Huzzah! Kaloo-kalay! Tingle, Tingle, kooloo-limpa! Rabbit was thoroughly pissed. She withdrew her Impyre and begrudgingly muttered a low "good fight" before storming away. Well, looks like your shot at love was torn to shreds. Oh the pain of love unrequited! Oh well at least you got some good experience out of the deal. Battle Results Well, what to do now? You could go back to the Pokemon Centre to heal up, or you could not. You could go to the pokemart as you said you would, or you could not. You could venture off into the wilderness, or you could not. Or, perhaps you could run and catch up with Rabbit. She doesn't look like she's going anywhere in a hurry so I'm sure you could take a quick PokeCentre/Mart break and still catch up with her. Or you could just let her be and for get you ever met her. The choice is yours, trainer! OOC: If you're confused about the exp PM me and I'll explain how I got the values I did. |

The battle finally ended, a quick round from Teddy to sweep away the impyre. Before Sengjin could talk to his opponent, she left without saying goodbye. She said good game to him, but that was all. Tease. Anyway, he returned teddy back into his pokeball and made his way to the pokemon center. His buddies were battered and bruised and needed a good rest, they deserved it. The walk to the pokemon center was fairly short and while he waited for his team to be healed, he sat in the lobby reading a pamphlet that explained licenses. The thing that grabbed his attention were the +1 licenses. It was there he learned that he could carry up to nine pokemon, no longer having to stick with just six due to some rule or law he didn't understand. He was interested in getting a fishing license and three +1 licenses, but knew that before he could get that, he had to get a fishing rod. Luckily for him, there were plenty of booths in Millenia that sold rods. He quickly left the pokemon center and made haste to the pokemart, looking to sell his things before buying a rod. When he got to the cash register, he took out both of his Grand Festival tokens, his X-Defend, Accuracy, and Special, Oval Stone, and Bulb Incense to sell to the store. After this, the Sea-Side booths were next so he could buy a fishing rod. Then he could buy a fishing license and three +1 licenses. He was very eager about this and did his best to try and calm himself down. Summary

Millenia Town Outside the Pokemon Center So as you were getting your pokemon healed, you decided to run a few quick errands. Making your way out of the Pokemon Center you quickly spotted the PokeMart, and within a matter of minutes you were standing in front of its automatic doors. As you stepped closer towards them they opened, allowing you inside. As soon as you stepped inside you walked up to the register and handed the clerk your items. He checked them over a couple of times, making sure they weren’t damaged in any way, and soon he handed you a wad of cash. After receiving your money you said a quick farewell and left. Next up on your to-buy list was a fishing rod. Finding a stand that sold Old Rods was little if not any work at all, and soon you had your very own fishing utensil. With your new item stored magically away in your backpack, you would make your way back towards the Pokemon Center. Once inside you walked up to the nurse and retrieved your pokemon, and then you stepped over to the PC and made a quick adjustment to your team. After that was all done, you walked back up to the nurse and requested for a Fishing License. She needed proof that you were allowed to fish, and that’s when you showed her your newly bought rod. Seeing the device she had no problem with selling you the license, and now that you could, you decided to buy three +1 licenses as well. Soon you had completed everything that you wanted to do. Your team was healed; you had your Kangaskhan, and now four new licenses. Speaking of which, with your new licenses not only were you now allowed to fish, but you were also now able to carry up to nine pokemon on your person legally both on land and water. With your errands done, you would make your way back outside, leaving the Pokemon Center for the final time, for now at least. As soon as you stepped outside, you were almost run down by a boy with spiky red hair. The kid had a rather large bruise on his cheek and a few scratches on his arms. It kind of looked like he had been punched by a Machop, and then mauled by a Meowth, however that wasn’t the case. Upon seeing you and your pokeballs, the kid immediately knew that you were a trainer. ”Please.. Please help me” he begged, his voice trembling with grief. ”They.. they took my pokemon, please.. please help me” he would beg once more. Well now, this was kind of weird wasn’t it? You were quite happy with getting all that you needed to get done, well done, and now you had some kid who looked like he just lost a fistfight with a Hitmonchan begging you to help him. If what he was saying was true, then the kid had obviously been the victim of a mugging, but there was only one question at the moment. Would you help this poor kid? The choice was all up to you, but he did look like he was telling the truth.. What would be your decision, trainer? ooc: Since I'm only a Gmod I'm not allowed to know the sell back prices of the Grand Festival Tokens, and so I'm going to PM Sora to add the money to your Profile. However, I did add the bought items, deducted the cost of the Old Rod and the Licenses, and did the transfer of Alomomola and Kangaskhan. If I made in mistakes, or if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM :] -Vlad Edited by Vlad, Nov 22 2011, 04:08 AM.

After all the transfers that Sengjin made to his team and items, he was finally done with those errands and was now free to do anything he wanted to do. He was contemplating some move tutoring but was also thinking about finding another battle so his team could get stronger. Searching for pokemon on his 'dream team' was also high up there on the list, with his just bought licenses he could now add three more members to his team. Oh, decisions, decisions, decisions... But, before he was able to do any of that, a boy with spiky red hair ran into him almost knocking him over. When he looked at the boy, he saw that he was bruised up and had some scratches on his arm. He asked the young boy what happened, his response was that 'they' took his pokemon. Who 'they' was, Sengjin didn't know, but he knew that he had to help this little boy. Stealing pokemon? That's just not right. "Who took your pokemon? Where are they? How can I help?" Sengjin said. The thief who stole the kid's pokemon got Sengjin angry, really angry. No matter what lied ahead, he was looking forward to beating the crap out of the thieves and giving the kid his pokemon back. If he was able to fend off a bunch of poachers, he could handle a thief. He just hoped that he could stay calm and focused in the heat of the moment. Worst case scenario was him getting beat up and having his pokemon stolen... Don't think like that he mumbled to himself. Millenia Town Taking a kid's Pokemon? Not cool, most definitely not cool. These assholes would pay. Upon hearing your desire to help him, the kid immediately perked up if only a bit. "Thank you, thank you so much. Here, follow me." The kid ran off towards the town and you followed after him. You started to notice you were getting into a pretty bad part of town. Thankfully nothing got in your way, so you made it to a sketchy looking building unharmed. The kid motioned to the building. "In here, this is where they got me." Before you could say or do anything he grabbed your arm and pulled you inside. It wasn't pretty. There were scratch marks all over the walls, the floors were scorched, something pretty bad went down here. Suddenly you two heard moaning from one of the rooms off to the side. You ran in and saw a man lying on the ground moaning in pain. What was wrong with him? He rolled over and you saw it, plain as day. Half of his face was burned clean off. It was a disgusting sight to behold. "Please, call an ambulance." Before you could do anything the kid stepped in front of you. "No." What the hell is up with this kid? "Before I call anyone I want you to tell me where my Pokemon are." Nothing. The man was silent. The kid sighed and pulled out a Pokeball. "You didn't get all of them, I've still got this little guy." He released a very angry looking Growlithe. The crispy-faced man looked nervous. "Growlithe, get an Ember ready. I'm going to ask you one more time, where are my Pokemon? It would be a shame for you to lose the other half of your face." The man decided he wanted to avoid any more facial harm. "The safe house, three blocks from here! Head west you can't miss it! I swear I'm telling the truth!" The kid recalled his Growlithe and took out a phone. A brief call and an ambulance was on its way. He wordlessly left the building and you followed behind him. This kid's tougher than he looks. "Will you come with me?" That certainly was the question, now wasn't it? Would you go with him to the safe house? He might need some help, he may be tough but he is just one kid still. It's your choice, make sure it's the right one. |

Sengjin followed the kid, not knowing where he was going to take him. As they embarked on their journey, they entered the bad part of Millenia Town, which wasn't the worst of places but was definitively one of the not-so-good areas of Millenia. The area was known for kidnappings, but the two got lucky and managed to maneuver through the area quickly and safely. They eventually arrived at some building, the young kid telling Sengjin that this was the area where they stole his pokemon. The building was made of solid concrete, was about four stories high, and had only a few windows built into the walls; sketchy to say the least. They went inside the building and immediately upon entering Sengjin saw that the place was beat up and had a history to it. A pungent smell wafted to Sengjin's nose, a smell so bad that he covered his nose and mouth to attempt and stop it from entering again. A man groaned and rolled over facing them, half his face burned off for some ungodly reason. Perhaps that was the cause of the smell. The man asked for an ambulance, seeking aid for his face. Sengjin grabbed his poketech and was about to make the call but stopped when the kid demanded the fallen man for his pokemon to be returned back to him. The kid sent out his growlithe and threatened to burn the other half of the man's face if he didn't comply. Sengjin thought to himself, 'Damn, this kid's brutal...'. The man, though, was smart and told the two where the kid's pokemon was taken. The kid called an ambulance and left, Sengjin following close behind. Once they were outside, the kid looked to Sengjin and asked, "Will you come with me?" "We're in this 'till the end," Sengjin replied. He felt a little uneasy about the situation, but felt that it was already too late to back out from this. Threatening to burn the rest of the fallen man's face was brutal, Sengjin hoped that the kid wasn't going to do anymore things that extreme. |
