Head of Registration - The Exploding Train
|
A bright sunny day on the beach in Millenia, eh? The Wingulls are chirping...or cawing, or whatever it is that Wingulls do. The breeze feels nice. You are so happy to be on a journey at last! You kind of wish you had gotten the Gyarados you wanted, but Raymond isn't a bad little Pokemon, right? You two will probably end up being the best of friends. A loud and annoying voice can be heard over the dunes as you walk along happily. You turn to see an angry looking girl in a bikini shouting something along the lines of the beach being extremely annoying. The way she's talking to the man behind her gives you the impression that he must be a butler of some sort. She's getting close enough so that you can hear what she's saying now. "I can't BELIEVE that we have to stay here for a whole week longer! I wanted to go to that concert with my friends. Oooooh I'm so riled up! Hey you, kid! You have a pokeball at your belt! Let's battle!!" Her angry gaze shifted from her hapless employeee to you. Well looks like the gauntlet got thrown, so to speak. Do you accept the challenge? Or do something else? |

He turned his head, hearing the sound of a screaming person. It was a girl in a bikini. She wasn't exactly the prettiest looking girl, but maybe that was because her face was red from all the yelling she was doing. Staring at her, she looked back towards Sengjin and yelled at him, "Hey you, kid! You have a pokeball at your belt! Let's battle!" "Uh..." Sengjin whispered to himself. Usually he avoided weird situations like these, but he figured he would run into similar ones later in the future. "If you really want to." He grabbed the small marble sized ball from his belt. Pressed the circle and felt the ball expand in his hand. Winding back his arm, he thew the pokeball high in the air watching a red beam shoot out his Shellder. "Ok Raymond" Sengjin said to his new Pokémon, "We're going to be battling today, I need you to do your best, for the both of us." Shellder acknowledged and faced the girl in the bikini. "Whenever you're ready." Sengjin shouted, he made sure she heard him. Edited by Sheik, Sep 8 2009, 02:07 PM.

Curtious opponents usually wait for the person they are up against to move before they do. That doesn't mean that this angry girl would do such, ESPECIALLY considering the riled up manner she was in. She looked like she was ready to fight ANYONE and you seemed to her like the perfect little She clapped her hands, as her butler walked over towards her with a Pokeball on a pillow. Upon further inspection, it was a Luxury Ball. Wow, this girl looked REALLY rich, but money wasn't everything! She took the ball, as she enlarged it, and threw it, as she said, "TEAR THEM APART, PEARL!" A silhoutte appeared on the ground, and it started shaping up into a heart shaped structure. As the red light disappeared, it was revealed to be a Luvdisc, and it had a cute coat that was shining in the sun brightly. It looked like it had been well groomed and fed, and looked a little ready to battle too. It also looked saddened for some reason however. "OK LUVDISC, USE TWO TACKLES ON THAT BOY'S SHELLDER!" The girl yelled. Her anger took her over completely when the battle started, as she put the Luxury Ball back onto the pillow, and she waited to see Luvdisc move. The Luvdisc got ready for it, how were you going to react? BATTLE! YOU! ![]() Lv. 5 ![]() 35/35 100%CRAZY RICH CHICK! ![]() Lv. 5 ![]() 35/35 100%

"I doubt she'll be any good at battling." Sengjin whispered to himself, thinking she was only good at being bossy. After calling out her Luvdisc, Sengjin knelt down to Raymond's level. He placed his hand on his shell, wiping off some sand, "Ok Raymond, this is your first battle. I need you to concentrate and not get distracted, can do you do that for me?" Raymond looked to Sengjin and nodded. Raymond looked back towards the Luvdisc, concentrating on the battle. Sengjin stood back up and faced the girl, feeling a little worried. "OK LUVDISC, USE TWO TACKLES ON THAT BOY'S SHELLDER!" yelled the girl. He noticed her face was turning into a more skin-like tone. Sengjin saw the Luvdisc charging at his Shellder. Being new at battling, he wasn't really sure what to order to his Shellder, he decided to take the safe method for now. He ordered to Raymond, "Quickly, use Withdraw! And then after both of her tackles, use a tackle of your own!" With Shellder's tough shell, he hoped Withdraw would minimize damage on Raymond. Edited by Sheik, Sep 14 2009, 07:28 PM.

Spoiler: click to toggle Ah, your first battle! A wondrous experience that will teach you many things, while having some surprises along the way, I'm sure. Granted, the young woman had been very abrupt with her challenge, seeming to stem simply from her own grudging demeanor. While perhaps not the most ideal first opponent, a battle was a battle, no? So, instead of me providing more simple details, let's get on with this ref. The Luvdisc - oh, she's so adorable - followed her trainer's orders and charged forward with her tackle attack. Still a bit hesitant, being your first battle and all, it took you a few moments to figure out how to react properly. Raymond, too, hesitated after receiving your orders, which resulted in the Pearl's first Tackle to land with little resistance. Recovering from the hit, your Shelder quickly registered and followed your command and used Withdraw. The small, pink, heart-shaped Pokemon didn't seem to notice the fact that Raymond had closed its shell and rushed into another Tackle attack; this time however, there was little effect to your Shelder, and left the Luvdisc a bit more dazed. This was Raymond's chance to counter-attack, and it indeed took the opportunity by launching a Tackle attack of its own at Pearl. Whew. Well, that concludes the effects of that round. I think. Oh well, lets move on, shall we? The young trainer that was posing as your opposition was currently fuming, her facing taking on a tint of scarlet. Her anger was obviously clouding her judgment when it came to this battle. Surely the simple fact that she was here in this lovely place for another week wasn't the sole source of all this frustration and anger that was consuming her. "Agh! How dare you hurt my little Pearl! Pearl, use Charm and then follow it up with another Tackle at that stupid clam! My, my, such an attitude. She even went as far as insulting your pokemon. The man-servant (hehe... ) that was standing behind her had an exasperated look as he observed the battle. Apparently this wasn't the first time he had had to endured his young madame's foul mood. It certainly seemed like she was determined to win this battle. So, knowing that, how will you react to the next portion of the battle? Sengjin saw Raymond take both tackles from the Luvdisc, but he was slightly dissapointed that Raymond didn't use Withdraw quick enough. "It's ok Raymond, you're doing great so far!" Sengjin said, trying to get Raymond more concentrated on the battle. "He hit that Luvdisc pretty hard," Sengjin thought to himself, "I reckon both Raymond and Luvdisc are around the same energy." "Agh! How dare you hurt my little Pearl! Pearl, use Charm and then follow it up with another Tackle at that stupid clam!" the girl ordered. Sengjin had two problems now, the effects of Charm and her calling Raymond stupid. Sengjin knew the effects of Charm, it was going to lower Raymond's attack level, he couldn't afford Raymond packing less of a punch in his shell. He also disliked the little comment the girl made on Raymond. "Wait a second, did you call Raymond stupid?" he questioned, even though he had obviously heard it. "All right Raymond, I need you to focus and increase your attack power." Sengjin had hoped that Raymond would get mad, furious even, to get him hyped up. "I want you to charge at the Luvdisc and attack her with tackle, your hard shell will do more damage!" Sengjin hoped that both Raymond and the Luvdisc would hit head to head, he assumed Raymond's hard shell would do more damage in a head on crash. Edited by Sheik, Sep 15 2009, 02:16 PM.

I wonder how this Luvdisc has been magically balancing on itself and being able to move around.... Ha.... Anyway, I think you've waited long enough for me to just skip the chatter and get to the reff. Luvdisc began the round by staring cutely at Shellder, lowering it's attack power sharply. Looking cute is probably nothing short of breathing for something that's in the shape of a heart... But, it then began hoping forward quickly to execute a Tackle attack. Shellder closed it's eyes, and focused on raw power to increase it's attack back up some, and then also began it's own Tackle attack. Shellder was more protected in it's thick shell, but the Luvdisc was lighter and quicker. Not before long, the pinkish Pokemon was a few feet from the slower moving shell fish, and about to strike. But, something caused a small explosion in the sand before it. As the sand settled out of the air, both trainers could see that a pair of huge, orange jaws had clamped around the Luvdisc in a tight Bite attack. Battling on the sand above it's home, the two of you must've awakened a sleeping Trapinch! And it didn't look too happy... Since Luvdisc was doing most of the hopping around, it probably targeted it over your Shellder. The heart Pokemon writhed in pain as it's holdings tightened into it, trapping it in the air as it was about to strike. Taking this as an advantage, Shellder jumped over to it, and gave it a nice bash to the head. The Luvdisc was forced to take the full hit, but some of it also hit into the Trapinch, dealing a small bit of damage to it. So now, you've got a trainer's luvdisc as your enemy, as well as a wild Trapinch. Though the antlion Pokemon wasn't exactly facing you right now, it would probably do so after if was finished with the Luvdisc. And it doesn't look like it has many ways of getting out of the little situation that it got itself into. That Trapinch looked a bit stronger then both of you by what you could tell, so maybe catching it after dealing with this annoying girl, who by the way, was screaming her head off throughout the Trapinch's surfacing. Always good to gave a little diversity in the attacks your party has, and only having a normal type attack is never a good thing.... Either against Rock, Steel, or Ghost types. Especially the last one. Battle! Sengjin saw Raymond increase his attack, but he also noticed his speed. It was significantly slower than the Luvdisc's; he knew that raw power wasn't enough to win the battle. Just as about Raymond was about to get tackled by the Luvdisc, a small explosion of sand came from below. As the sand settled, Sengjin saw some orange Pokémon with the Luvdisc tight into it's gigantic mouth. "What luck!" Sengjin thought to himself. He scratched his head, "But what Pokémon is that?" he said to himself. He took out his PokeTech and clicked onto the Pokedex option. After quickly searching, he found out that the Pokémon was a Trapinch. In a robot-like voice, the Pokedex said to Sengjin, "Trapinch is an orange, bug-like Pokémon with a large jaw. Trapinch has a roundish body with short, stump-like legs. Trapinch has a big head in proportion to the rest of its body." That wasn't much help to Sengjin, it was already obvious it was orange, bug-like, and had a huge head. He put his Poketech back into his pocket. "Ok Raymond, for now we're going to avoid the Trapinch and only focus on the Luvdisc." Sengjin said to Raymond, "All right, I want you to focus on your speed, you're slower compared to the Luvdisc." Even though the Luvdisc was tightly in the Trapinch's mouth, he figured it wouldn't stay there for the entire battle. "After you've focused on your speed, I want you to follow it up with TWO tackle attacks, go to it!" So far, Sengjin has been pretty lucky. The Trapinch helped lower the Luvdisc's health and it seemed like everything was going to plan. Hopefully the attraction to the Luvdisc was over for Raymond, there's no need for love between the two Pokémon

Well now, Luvdisc is almost done in, but Trapinch is still in prime condition, isn't it? With Arena Trap as an ability, you can probably guess your next battle, right? And Oh... I don't know... Something in the future tells me that it's dark type Bite attack could come in handy... Or just plainly save your ass.... In the maybe even.. very near future? Then again, you haven't really attacked it yet. Maybe you could even befriend it? It's probably hungry... Trapinch got in the first move, clamping down again on the Luvdisc in it's powerful jaws. Since it was rooted in place, and Trapinch couldn't exactly see it too well right now, both of it's attacks were pretty much useless right now. All it could do was try and struggle out of it's trappings, which would be to no avail. A Trapinch's jaws could hold a grip with about the same power of a great white shark, making that one mouth you really didn't want to annoy. Shellder then took it's turn, Focusing on how it could move faster. Getting an idea, it jumped, then madly flung itself open and closed, propelling it along with great speed. Almost uncontrolled, it smashed into the Luvdisc in a Tackle attack, which did alot to the already wounded heart fish. Unable to take any more punishment, the Luvdisc fainted in the Trapinch's jaws. Where it not for the red beam, that same fish would also be Trapinch's dinner. But the screaming girl behind it wanted her Pokemon back. "You'll regret this! You and your stupid clam and your stupid ant! I'll have my daddy break you for this!" Storming off, she ran crying up to the town, manservant following quickly behind. Well, one down. One left. Now without anything to bite on, the Trapinch's jaws clacked shut hard. It dragged itself out of the sand fully, looking around, and then at you. It didn't move, but stared at you, almost puzzled. Maybe it didn't want to fight? The sun was setting, and an evening mist was beginning to settle. I'd decide what you want to try with this Trapinch quickly, it may not be such a night Pokemon. BOOM, CHICKA-CHOW, KO YOU NOOB. Sengjin saw Raymond tackle the Luvdisc, it was a great hit. Luvdisc's eyes turned into a x and was returned back into its pokeball. Sengjin jumped up a little bit, winning his first battle. But then he realized he wasn't done, he still needed to do work on the Trapinch. "You'll regret this! You and your stupid clam and your stupid ant! I'll have my daddy break you for this!" screamed the girl as she ran off. "Right... See ya later!" Sengjin said to himself. He now put his attention to the Trapinch, who looked at Sengjin with a confused look. "Hmm" Sengjin mumbled, "It doesn't seem like it wants to battle, maybe I can just try and offer it into my Pokeball instead of battling it." Sengjin walked up to the Trapinch slowly. He took out a Pokeball from his belt and knelt down to Trapinch. It tilted its head, still with a confused look on its face. Sengjin chuckled and held up the Pokeball in front of Trapinch. "Hi, I'm Sengjin. Would you like to be a part of my team? I could use a guy like you." Sengjin smiled, showing that he wanted the Trapinch on his team. Trapinch was a strange Pokémon to Sengjin, considering how he's never even seen one before. Somehow though, he had a feeling that Trapinch would help in the future. Like his uncle Sora said, "Get all d'em bitches." |

Trapinch was torn between going back to his hole, and opening the ball to see what was inside. Maybe this person was going to feed it? Hunger ruling over logic, it pressed the button on the ball, and was sucked inside. Without much struggle, the ball sounded it's capture. Damn, that was easy! But, it was starting to get cold. Time to get off this beach, right? But wait.... Where did it do? A thick fog, or mist, had settled on the area. It was almost impenitrable to the human eye, but Sengjin could atleast tell that night had fallen already. but there was a slight problem still... Which was was the town, and which way was the ocean? It really wouldn't be good to fall into the water while it was so cold, but you did want to go back to town. However... An eerie feeling of being watched was starting to fall over you. Turning around, two small, pink eyes were floating in the mist, surrounded by what looked like a shadow. It came closer, and it revealed itself to be some sort of ghost Pokemon. Half of itself was encased in the mist, but it was purple, and actually, looked like a dragon. Your Poketch chimed in to identify the Pokemon: Inkia, the Spirit Pokemon. It was a Dragon/Ghost type, which makes you thankful that you just caught the Trapinch; as Shellder would have physcally not been able to battle this thing. But, it looked like it was actually casting the mist from it's body. Beat it, and I'll bet you can get this thing cleared! Wouldn't be so bad to try and catch it... Would it, though? It's pretty rare, especially out of it's natural habitat. What exactly was it doing by a beach....? But, let's get this battle underway. There's no reasoning with a ghost type, is there? Battle! Sengjin's first day as a trainer went remarkably well. He won his first battle and had just caught a Trapinch, with lots of training it'll become a Flygon, even though it will take a buttload of time. Sengjin returned Trapinch's Pokeball into his belt and thought to himself, "Trapinch deserves a nickname, I wonder what though." He reflected through his memories, trying to think of a name for his new Pokémon. Being the uncreative person he is, he decided to keep his Trapinch's name the same. He wiped off the sand from his shoes and walked forward. Only taking a few steps, Sengjin saw a dark cloud coming his way. "What the..." Sengjin said quietly to himself. Two pink eyes shined through the cloud, staring at Sengjin. As the cloud came closer, Sengjin was getting a better look at the unknown figure. What he saw, it seemed like a ghost, but a dragon Pokémon. His Poketech rang. Sengjin took out his Poketech from his pocket and found out that the strange figure was actually a Pokémon. It was an Inkia, a rare dragon/ghost type Pokémon. "Oh my word." Sengjin said to himself. He examined the Inkia even more by looking through his Poketech, although it didn't have much information. "I don't think there's any point in trying to reason with this Pokémon, I might as well battle it." Sengjin thought to himself. He grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and threw it high in the air, shooting out his newly caught Trapinch. The red beam of light shot onto the sand and Trapinch took form, giving a small cry. "All right Trapinch, this will be our first battle together. I want you to try your best!" His Trapinch acknowledged and faced the Inkia. Even though Sengjin's Trapinch was just caught, he hoped that it would do well in battle. But he noticed the cloud surrounding the Inkia, it could have an effect on how the battle will turn out. "Ok Trapinch, I want you to focus on your attack. When you use your bite attack, make sure that the Inkia really feels the power of your jaws." Sengjin ordered. |

Well then, a dragon type and a future dragon type. Two Pokemon of the same level, about to battle it out. One has rarity on it's side, while another has a super-effective attack against the foe. Let's see how things turn out! The Inkia moved first, moving faster then the bulkier ant lion Pokemon. It vanished temporarily into the mist, obscuring itself from the Trapinch's view. Trapinch took this time to fire up a quick Focus to it's attack, raising the maximum damage that it's bite could do. Inkia appeared faintly then, behind a swirling, blue mass of fire. The Twister attack bashed into the unaware Trapinch. Before the dragon could vanish again, Trapinch jumped up, mouth gaping, and clamped down hard on the purple ghost. It gave an eerie cry of pain, before whipping up another Twister directly ontop of the ant. While Twister didn't do overall too much damage, the hit to Trapinch's Energy from them was worth worrying over. Although, one Focus-powered Bite attack did do a heap of damage. If you can get another hit or two in before the Inkia takes you out, you may faint it before it can faint you. That's only if, you can get it before it vanishes. Are you up to it? Battle! The Inkia was very nimble and fast. It managed to get into its mist cloud and completely dissapear, nub. Luckily Trapinch had managed to land a Bite attack and deal a good amount of damage to the enemy Inkia. Trapinch came back to Sengjin's side, he said "Ok Trapinch, I want you to focus on your attack again. For this fight, we're going to be focusing on sheer power." Sengjin hoped that instead of focusing on speed or accuracy, hard hitting attacks would end the fight quickly. "Ok Trapinch, once you're finished focusing your attack power, try to land another Bite attack onto the Inkia, but make sure to be aware of your surroundings. The Inkia's Twister attack hit you pretty hard, so I need you to be careful." The Inkia was a very strange Pokémon indeed. Sengjin looked back into his Pokedex and searched for Inkia again, maybe something new would come up. Surprisingly, nothing new showed up in that span of 5 or so minutes. Sengjin mumbled to himself, "I wonder what I could do with this Dragon/Ghost type Pokémon, maybe it could get me a hefty amount of cash." Now Sengjin started to daydream a bit, but then he focused on the battle again. (Dragon/Ghost, not Dragon/Dark >< :darkwingchild <-- That's the Dragon/Dark ~Sora) |

Well, this battle looks close to being over. Battle between two of even levels, both with attacks that do alot to the other. Well, regardless of which side wins, the winner'll be going up a level. I have a feeling this battle'll actually end this round, so let's cut the chit-chat and get to little creatures hitting one another. Once again, Inkia made the first move by quickly vanishing into the mist. Almost as soon, Trapinch focused on destructive power, in almost a mirror image of the last turn. Trapinch was more weary of the Inkia's hit and run tactics this time, but still had no idea of where the dragon would resurface. Thinking that it'd attack from behind again, it focused on the mist that swirled behind it. Though, the Inkia was smart. While the Trapinch was busy trying to keep it's eye on the back, a swirling vortex blasted from the mist before it. Before Trapinch could react, the Twister hit him once again. It picked him into the air and whirled him around, before flinging him backwards. The Inkia was coming out of this area preparing another Twister when the Trapinch landed before it, just as suprised as the dragon was. Quickly, Trapinch jumped through the unfinished tornado attack and bit down hard onto the Inkia. And thanks to those Focuses, it was very hard. The ghost wavered as the Trapinch fell off of the wing it was biting. It started floating around haphazardly, and eventually plumeted to the ground, knocked out. And the battle goes tooo, Sengjin and his Trapinch have won! Trapinch got a nice pile of experience from that, upping it's level to 9, and learning Sand Attack in the process. The dragon type was still laying there, either for you to leave or foryou to try and catch. The mist began to clear, showing that you had been dangerously close to the ice cold waters. Moving too far in the direction you were facing would have ended up soaked, and freazing cold. but as the water becam visible, so did the town. So, next action is up to you. Throw a Pokeball at the dragon and begin to head to town, or leave it and head to town. Or, you could be a crazy bastard, and go swimming instead... Battle!
