Nido was getting there, oh how he was getting there. Even if humans cannot see the invisible counter of percentage a tutor is progressing, Kaz could already tell that he was on his way. How? Because the pictures had come off an informational page, and the way they described it sounded just like how he was going. "Nido, you are almost there. Do it again. The only thing standing in your way is the ability to secret the thick poison. Do what Machop had to do. He had to sit and focus. The commotion died down, so just focus right here, and try to jab the tree." Velix was making progress, but unlike Nido's tutoring, Kaz was not able to predetermine where she stood. He could tell she was depending on Energy Ball too much. He had cutit back, but it was still there. Maybe to attempt not using it at all. "Velix, you know how it feels to gather that energy for the Energy Ball, correct? Do not use Energy Ball this time, and try your best to focus on the psychic energy you have been feeling. Lift the rock." Mareep was coming along in her battle as well, and after this, Kaz wouldn't mind healing everyone up and trying for another battle. The tournament was a few days away, but a small battle might be helpful. However, he didn't know if he could do it. There was still things that Kaz wanted to teach his pokemon, and Volt was at the top of his list. Too bad that the Tournament was in a few days. "Mareep, use two tackles. Take your time, and make sure you hit him. He was inflicted with paralysis, from the looks of him, so he may not be able to move." That was it! Kaz got a final idea. Volt would receive the last tutor. He had too. Spark just wasn't good enough, and once Mareep leveled and learned Thundershock, which Kaz thought Volt could learn but supposedly can only learn Thunderbolt, they would try and prep him for that. |

Looks like you're almost done. Nido was getting pretty close, and Velix was making some progress. Mareep was doing well in her battle, and would likely get it done soon. But you don't want to just sit there reading this preview while the suspense builds, so I'll get on with it. Nido was just about done. He focused really hard, and with most of the noise down, he was able to concentrate much better. He felt the poison just flow from his horn smoothly and cover it entirely. He ran forward and jabbed the tree, leaving a deep black mark. Looks like he's mastered Poison Jab! He was very proud of himself and gave a few more jabs to the tree in happiness. He smiled widely, because this was another step towards becoming a powerful Nidoking. Poison Jab - 100% MASTERED Velix saw Nido's success and felt even more determined to impress you. She focused hard, really hard. She tried to feel the energy she did before without using Energy Ball. She felt something, a weak tug. She felt some sort of power flow through her and she envisioned the rock lifting up in the air. The real rock only lifted up maybe an inch or two and for only about three seconds, but it was a great try. She'd need some more practice generating more energy and holding it without as much strain, but she was doing great. Confusion - 65% Finally we come to Mareep's battle. She could barely see with all the mud and gunk in her eyes, but she tried to overcome that. She saw the Grimer stuck in one place from paralysis and took aim. She stepped back a bit and then charged. Bam! One Tackle hit, time for the second. She stepped back once more and....she hit! Grimer was done. Mareep bah'd in joy and felt herself grow stronger. A Thundershock escaped from her body, meaning she leveled up and learned it! Battle Results

Kaz smiled at the success of two out of three of his pokemon. His Nidoran had successfully learned the tutored attack. That makes his count up above five, he thought. It didn't matter much though. The Tournament of Aegis was around the corner. Not even a swift battle could be in store for him. Well, you never know. He returned Nidoran, keeping his bright smile on his face. Next, on to Velix. The small fox was doing good, but it was almost not enough. "You'll have to try one more time, if you can. The tournament is starting soon, so we'll have to pick up after if you can't." Turning to Mareep, he smiled once more. She leveled up and would only make things easier for Volt to learn other moves, as well as herself. Returning her to the pokeball, he pocketed it and kept his focus on Velix. If a small battle came through, so be it. Another goal popped into Kazuki's head. Why not purchase a Tutor License from the Pokemon Center. It'd help him carry an extra pokemon, giving him more of a chance to move tutor. Who knows, only if the time comes. But a beep came, and Kaz looked at his Poketch. He had won three times at the lottery. A smile crossed his face. He had the pokemon he wanted for the tournament, oh, wait. The returned Farfetch'd was put through and exchanged for his Sneel again. Edited by Kazuki, May 30 2010, 07:15 AM.

Well, there's not much really for me to say. A tutor license is a good idea, it'll allow you to get paid to tutor other people's Pokemon, and you'll be able to carry more than the limited six Pokemon on your team. However, that will probably have to wait until after the tournament. For now, we need to focus on Velix and her attempts at learning Confusion. She focused hard. Really really hard. And she envisioned the rock lifting up above the ground. She found that she was able to generate more and more psychic energy as time went on. She was able to lift the rock a foot above the ground for a few moments before it fell back. She was very proud of herself, she'd managed to do it! Still, that wasn't Confusion. No, that was the ability to lift up a rock. She has all the necessary skills to perform a Confusion, but to completely master it she'll need a target. Remember, Confusion is the act of invading the opponent's mind with confusing and disturbing images. She had all she needed to do that, but until she could practice on a live target she would be stuck where she is. Confusion - 75% |

Kazuki grimaced at the progress. She was having all of the necessary steps, aside from the last. His last plan, to finish off the move, was to check his watch. Yes, the famous Poketch. Searching through the files brought up by the watch, it told Kaz that he would need a target. Well, where would he find a target? Fainting a pokemon on his team was not a smart idea. None of them had energy, or the strength to defend mentally. He better as well get this over and done with. "Velix, use me as a target." Stretching his arms out, he offered himself up. She needed to finish before the Tournament. With a move like confusion on her side, she would prove to be formidable. Imagine if they were weak against psychic moves; oh, how Kazuki really wanted to see this move work succesfully. He just didn't plan on seeing it first hand. |

Use Confusion...on yourself? Well, whatever floats your boat I suppose. Velix just shrugged and tried to invade your mind. She applied the psychic energy from lifting the pebble to the Confusion attack, and she managed to get into your head. You felt a really weird feeling, and then a lot of pain. She was sending various disturbing images into your brain and you just had to take it. She stopped when she saw it was too much and you collapsed. You awoke about five minutes later with the curious Velix leaning over you. Looks like she's mastered Confusion. You had a splitting headache. You could barely stand without feeling a throbbing pain in your head. That's the price of using yourself as a target for a psychic attack. Still, it worked well enough I suppose. You'll be feeling that for a while though, probably a few hours, maybe even a whole day. My suggestion? Advil. Lots and lots of Advil. Confusion - 100% MASTERED |

The disturbing images rotted Kaz's mind. Who knew such a move could do such a thing? This was the power of a pokemon--part psychic ones. Wow, Kaz thought. He never thought he'd offer himself up and get this kind of treatment. Opening his eyes after--he didn't really know how long it was--Kaz seen the Velix. Barely able to stand, he remained laying down. Struggling just to check his Poketch, he seen it was only five minutes later since he last checked. Not bad, a quick cat nap never hurt. Velix definitely had a future in Kazuki's team. This was just the beginning. After another five minutes, Kaz felt a little stronger. Only the strength to sit up, Kaz kept watch over Velix, who tried licking his nose. But he held her back. "That is enough from you," He smiled, "Rest." A crimson light covered Velix as Kazuki managed to hold the pokeball upwards. Well, the Tournament was in a day or two, and he didn't know what else to do. Move tutoring was definitely in his future, but after this Tournament, he had to locate this Laurie Trough woman. The Shady Man will definitely be worrying by then, and it is his job to get the money and get back. Not to mention the free move tutor of Counter. Oh, how that will be fun. While they do that, maybe Kaz could find a battle on the side, oh even better--move tutor more to his pokemon! |

In My Little White Room Again

Well I have to say, from what I have seen you have been quite a successfully move tutor. You’ve managed to teach your team some rather difficult moves (in my opinion, that is) such as Poison Jab, Focus Punch, and Confusion to a Pokemon that was relatively young. Very impressive! I suggest you open up a shop sometime, for I bet you would gain lots of customers. I, for one, would love for my character Kaelyn to send you over some of her little ones for you to move tutor if the chance ever arises –and she would pay, of course. But for now, you had the tournament to worry about for it was only a matter of days away. The headache that your little Velix had casted upon you had began to fade away, and now after returning her into her Pokeball you were left alone in the dying day. If you were to move from where you stood, you would be able to see a Pokemon Center over the horizon glowing in the sunset. It seemed inviting, and surely your Pokemon wanted a proper rest. But then something else seemed to catch your attention. Since the day was coming to an end, the wildlife around you had begun to shift. All the day time Pokemon had scampered off up and into the trees, down into barrows, into shrubs, etc. And the night dwellers had begun to stretch and yawn, then take off to claim dominance over their darkened realm. A cry from above caught you attention. A single Hoothoot looked down to you curiously and began to hop back and forth on the branch upon which he was perched. The bird crossed his eyes jokingly, and continued to hoot down to you. A screech sounded in the direction opposite of the tree, and you could see a trio of Zubat beginning to take flight in search for their daily meal. They screeched and hollered in your direction, namely at the Hoothoot, as a hostile warning. If the bird made the slightest movement suggesting that he wanted to make a meal of one of the bats all of them would surely pummel the poor thing to death. So what is it you wish to do? Travel to the centre and hopefully get a bed where you can get a good nights rest, explore the wonderful land of Alternia when it was consumed by the darkness of night, or perhaps engage in some sort of activity with the few nocturnal creatures whom had just awoken? The choice was all yours!

(Once I get a tutor lisence, I will be. )Kaz could move, and how happy he felt knowing he can. He was walking along and could see the Pokemon Center. Oh, what a wonderful and delightful sight. But pokemon sounded in the near distance. Breaking into a dash, Kaz rushed into the healing facility. Without words, he had silently demanded Nurse Joy, at a beautiful evening, to heal his pokemon. When they were done, he ran back. Oh boy, what a wonderful delight that the pokemon were still there. Deciding that the best way to go was eventually taking down all of them. But he rather start with the Zubat. "Hoothoot, they seem to want to attack you. Defensive, of course. You want one, correct? Let me help you!" Kaz grabbed five pokeballs. Releasing them from his hand, each device released their own pokemon. Mareep, Volt, Sneel, Machop, and Velix were all summoned. The pokemon were hard to reach, so only two of the pokemon had somewhat range moves. "This is the plan. Let's help the Hoothoot. Velix, use Confusion on the left Zubat. Mareep, you use Thundershock on the same one. Volt, use Spark if one comes towards any of you five. Machop, same terms, but use Focus Punch. Sneel, same terms, again, but use Headbutt." He had this thing figured out, quickly. Three ground support and two range. Zubats would no doubt get pissy when attacked, and thus Kaz thought they'd come in for an attack. "Everyone, use each move twice!" His final instructions lingered off to each pokemon to use each of the instructed moves twice. |

Yes the night was indeed beautiful, even after you healed up your team at the centre. Now being back where you had once stood, you released your team onto the field in hopes of befriending the Hoothoot it seems. Well I’ll tell you it wouldn’t be hard, for this was quite a little sociable fellow that you have come across. After you had informed the Hoothoot that you and your team would be helping him against the menacing bats, the bird hooted happily and jumped off of the branch where he was previously perched. But rather than joining in on the fight like you may have suspected, the owl like creature decided to perch himself upon your head. The little fellow gripped his talons in your hair to keep his balance and then began to hoot happily in the dead night air. He continued to cheer on as you gave your commands to your team, and watched appreciatively as the battle unfolded before him. Velix began first, firing off psychic waves that stirred up the mind of Zubat. Totally thrown off course from the major headache that your Velix had caused, the Zubat was left totally open to the attack from Mareep. The electricity shot forth from the small sheep and engulfed the bat who screeched out in pain and fell out of the air and slammed into the ground. The small thing twitched once, and then continued to do so. The poor thing had just totally been pummeled by two special effective attacks, and now was lying unconscious on the ground. The Hoothoot began to hop up and down on your head, excited that you had defeated one of the Zubats. “Hoooooooooot hooooooooooot!” he jeered as he continued to bounce upon your skull. Irritated by the attack on their sister, the other Zubat’s swooped in. One of them headed towards Machop, the other to Sneel. The one that tried to attack Sneel was interrupted by Voltobs Spark –causing major damage. Even more infuriated now, the bat fired off a Super Sonic towards the ball like creature –hitting him directly- and then switched focus to Sneel who had then just rammed into him with a Headbutt. But before the snake could begin his attack again, Zubat retaliated with Super Sonic again and thus the poor snake had become confused and ended up hurting himself. The Zubat that headed towards the Machop dashed off with Astonish, interrupting the Machops focus. He manage to make a direct hit the second time though, but the damage wasn’t much because of the type disadvantage. One bat down, two to go.

What a neat start. But Kazuki was questioning why the Hoothoot was on it's head. Of course, the boy found it a little funny, but in the heat of the battle how can you do such a thing? Oh well, Kazuki tried to think of a new plan. A new tactic to get these bats gone. Leaving the Hoothoot on top of his head was not his favorite idea, but he had plans for the Hoothoot. "Come back, Volt, Sneel, and Machop!" The boy might be considered crazy. With one down, the sheep and fox pokemon might be able to do it on their own. "Mareep, use two Thundershocks on either one. Velix, start off attacking the same one she attacks but use an Energy Ball and then Confusion!" What a plan! Seeing the first go down like it did surely sparked this idea. The new attacks seemed strong, and Kaz began to wonder how the tournament would unfold. Kaz glanced up, spotting the Hoothoot still perched. What a friendly fellow. The only thing to do now is hope for the best from these two pokemon. |

Returning your pokemon you were now left with two of your own and the random Hoothoot that had positioned itself on your head jumped to the floor and began to do some weird sort of break dancing moves. Certainly talented at that art, it's a shame it wasn't as good in battles. Speaking of the battle, let's see how that was turning out. Firing off a number of Thundershocks towards the Zubat that had already taken damage, the pokemon was hit with a number of electrical jolts that caused it to stagger and fall, not able to get up again. That's two down, only one to go. This was turning out to be a pretty simple battle. There was only one Zubat left and Velix still had some time to attack. The only alive Zubat began to Focus on it's Special Defence and then fired off a Supersonic, annoyingly confusing Velix. As Velix went to fire an Energy Ball she stumbled and fired the attack towards the ground in front of her, the close impact dealing damage to Velix rather than Zubat. Focusing harder, Velix locked onto Zubat and fired a Confusion, managing to connect this time and dealing a large amount of damage. The Zubat looking weakened, however still able to fly. This battle was close to completion. I have no doubt that next round should finish it off...unless you do something to mess it up, which I find incredibly unlikely. Hit hard and win this battle quickly.

What a silly bird Hoothoot was. Dancing, now, on top of his head. The battle was almost done, and it was rather quick. It would be great to get in another, but there is no way. This one had to be finished, though. Velix was confused, and it was as annoying as ever. The ailment was definitely not one of Kazuki's favorites to deal with, as poison was up there too. No one liked the ailments, and they gave the battle an annoying touch sometimes. Oh well, this battle is over. "Velix, focus hard. Use two Energy Balls." Kaz fired off orders for his little fox companion. Mareep, not included in the orders, turned quickly, cocking her head to the right. She didn't understand what was going on. All Kazuki did was smile. "Mareep, hit Hoothoot with two Thundershocks. Don't be afraid to hit me." Again, offering himself up to the dangers of pokemon attacks. He didn't want to add the Hoothoot to the team, and he wanted to defeat it. Without it knowing, he had checked the poketch, quickly and sneakily. Hoothoot were super effectively damage when it came to electric types. Mareep was the perfect pokemon to have out and fight this friendly bird. |

Attacking the innocent pokemon that was considered your ally? There's a dark side to you. Far be it for me to say that's a cruel thing to do, but since you were not attempting a capture I'm sure it'll survive to break dance another day. So with Velix confused, do you think you can knock out Zubat? Zubat have a major resistance to grass types. You should have stuck with Confusion. Much more powerful. That wasn't your choice however, so let's see how this round turns out. Attacking with a Thundershock, Hoothoot was electrocuted, with a ton of volts coursing through his body, (looks like he had...a shocking experience.) The Hoothoot suddenly looked very angry, growling at Mareep. Mareep fired another Thundershock and did yet more damage. The Hoothoot was hanging on however, but wasn't attacking this round. Velix was having a fun time. Firing an Energy Ball at Zubat, the bat seemed almost completely unaffected by the attack. Shaking the attack off, the bat pokemon flew in, disappearing and reappearing again, delivering an Astonish attack, sending Velix off guard, dealing a fair whack of damage. A second Energy Ball hit the Zubat again, but it still didn't do much. Things didn't go too well for you this round. Maybe next round you'll finish it off.

Kazuki didn't have a good round. So what? It happens. He kept his focus on the immediate battle. Velix's Energy Ball did nothing, and Kazuki should have seen that coming. Oh well, this time they won't mess up again. "Velix, use Confusion as many times as you have to. Defeat the Zubat. If it falls after the first, or second, use it on Hoothoot." Kazuki then turned to see Mareep fighting Hoothoot. Things would go well for Mareep if she won. She had many future goals locked inside of Kazuki's head. But for now, the Hoothoot was the obstacle. "Take down the Hoothoot. Use three Thundershocks!" Using a three move combo wasn't like Kaz. However, things like this needed it and that is why he is using it for Velix and Mareep. He looked over, seeing the Pokemon Center. A tutor license was a risky business. It could generate a lot of income, and he already had plans on getting items and supplies form it. Oh, this world could torture his mind at times. At least the Tournament is soon, and he'll hopefully make it past round one. |
