This was it. The final round. Your Pokemon's actions here would seal the result of this battle in stone. Machop was barely conscious. Before the poison took him, he heard your final orders. He got up, ignoring the pain in his leg, and shot a devilish Leer at Gligar. Before he got the chance to give his second, he dropped. The poison in him was too much. He'd fought valiantly, and his contributions to this battle were necessary for victory. Nido saw his friend fall and was filled with strength. Gligar looked pretty confident too, and his master even more so. "C'mon Gligar, just one more push! Get him with a Poison Sting and be done with it!" Gligar grinned wickedly and aimed his Poison Sting. Nido charged him and leapt with power. He drove his horn straight into Gligar, the force of the attack catching the flying scorpion off guard. Nido followed that with his second Peck, ending the battle. The tired Nidoran slumped to the ground, exhausted from the battle.
The man recalled his Gligar, mumbling something about weakling Pokemon. It looks like you've won. But what's this? The man took out a fourth Pokeball! He had one more Pokemon! He had an evil grin spread across his face. "Thought I was done, didja? Charmeleon, get this guy's Pokemon!" A fearsome Charmeleon emerged from the Pokeball and growled loudly. You could feel its strength. Was this the end? ![]() "Wartortle, use Hydro Pump! Take out that Charmeleon!" Huh? From nowhere a Wartortle appeared with a girl standing behind him. As ordered, he shot out a powerful Hydro Pump at the Charmeleon, knocking it out cold. The man was astonished. In anger he returned his Charmeleon and ran off. The girl returned her Wartortle and the looked at you. "You should be more careful along these routes. You never know who you'll encounter. Luckily me and Splashes were able to save you. My name's Jennifer." Jennifer walked up to you. She was very pretty. Beautiful almost. You wondered what a girl like her was doing here. As if to read your mind, she started speaking again. "You're probably wondering what I'm doing here. Well, the truth is, I'm on the run. You see, I am part of a secret organization. We find people who abuse and mistreat Pokemon for profit and take the Pokemon away from them. Normally nobody sees us, but I was careless. I was caught. I managed to make it out with this." Jennifer took out a Pokemon Egg. ![]() "I took it from the home of a businessman in Millenia Town. It's close to hatching. He was going to sell the egg to the highest bidder. His clientele are a bunch of sleazy Pokemon abusers. I couldn't let him sell this egg. It was one of many that were going to be sold in a private auction. I believe the species of this egg is a Pokemon called Velix." Wait, this was the thief! And the egg was the stolen property! Jennifer saw the look on your face and immediately her expression turned to horror. "No! No he sent you didn't he! Oh please don't take this egg! I've been trying to find a trainer to take proper care of it until it hatches. Please, don't give it back to that horrible man! Wait, you look like you care for your Pokemon. I'll give you this egg if you promise not to give it back to that terrible, terrible man. I'll even give you $200 if you promise to keep this egg safe from harm." You have a couple options here. You can take the egg and tell the businessman you couldn't find her, or you could take it and double cross the girl and give it to him. Or you could always just leave her and tell the businessman you couldn't find her. Before you decide, remember that Pokemon hatched from eggs may have special egg moves. |

First off all, Majin had to recall his own Pokémon. Indeed they had fought valiantly and he'd need to treat them to a Pokémon Center right after he dealt with this girl. As he focused on everything she is telling him, he couldn't believe it. His prize Pokémon and idea of a good deed was actually turning to look like a bad deed. "I'll take the egg. I will tell the man I couldn't find a thief, and make an excuse if the egg doesn't hatch in time." Majin smiled, "You have my word. I mean it." His smile was sincere. The egg was nice and all, but, he needed that Pokémon Center. Machop had fainted and Nido was almost out too. Now all he had was an exhausted Nidoran and an unhatched egg that would be a Velix. Not the kind of situation he wanted to be in, let alone have to think about what to do next. Would he return to the guy and tell him something for real? Or just run himself and never return. Either way, he had to do something. The business man looked to be the bad guy, the girl being the good guy but he was on the deed to get this back. Stealing is bad. Ugh, these thoughts are screwing him up. "Where to I go from here for a Pokémon Center?" |

Excellent choice. Jennifer was beaming. Her smile sent shivers down your spine. But good shivers, like you'd done a good thing for society. You probably have, saving that Pokemon like that. You may have taken the heartless contract but you're a good person and that's what'll come out in the end. She handed you the egg and it looked like it was about ready to hatch. Jennifer noticed this too. "Eggs need to be in the presence of a trainer if they are to hatch. Since the only Pokemon I really train is my Wartortle here I wasn't eligible to hatch it. I'm sure it'll only take a few dozen more steps to hatch. Maybe it'll even hatch on your way back to Millenia Town." You took the egg and could feel it quivering a bit. It would definitely hatch soon. She also gave you the $200 she promised you to keep the egg a secret from the businessman. "Right now you're in between Millenia Town and Kijutsu City. Both are equal distance away, but you'd best return to Millenia Town if you don't want that evil man's men after you. But other than the two cities there won't be a Pokemon Centre nearby. Here," she gave you some sort of spray, "Use this repel and it should keep wild Pokemon off you until you reach Millenia. Again, thank you. You've done a great service for Pokemon Rights." Before you got a chance to say anything else, Jennifer ran off into the forest. You'll never see her again in all likelihood. You felt sad that you wouldn't get a chance to talk to this girl again, but you felt good that you took the moral high road. And this Velix egg will hatch very soon. Probably even on your way back to the city. You don't have much of a choice here in terms of where to go. Kijutsu is too dangerous and the businessman probably has associates there, so that's a no go, and the forest will lead you to Arceus knows where. Best just stick to the main road and go back to Millenia. |

Thinking the same, Majin turned to face the town he had come from--Millenia Town. With the repel on, he could only have hopes it didn't run out any time soon. Nido and Machop were goners and all he had left was an egg who can't do anything until it hatches. Next on the list was to get Nido and Machop healed though. Definitely a must do. But Majin had no knowledge of where and he was doomed. "I should probably get going..." Majin started walking towards Millenia Town, holding the egg in his arms, gently. It was going to be his gift Pokémon from the man. However, after everything that went down, he feared he would have gotten robbed by the business man instead of rewarded. Well, he didn't care anymore because he wouldn't be going back. If he ever got mixed up, Nido and Machop would be there to save him. They were going to be great Pokémon. And now with Velix, he'd only dream of teaching them the moves they needed to be strong Pokémon. Nido and Machop received a new friend from all this, and that made Majin happy too. For now, the sights were on getting back. Oh, and healing the team. |

So you're headed to Millenia town with an egg which was obviously stolen merchandise. You have nothing to worry about with the repel going. You can still hear the cries of the wild pokemon all around you as you're walking. You stop several times, feeling the egg moving in your hands. It fakes you out several times as you hurry back to town. You can see the sign that you know says 'Welcome to Millenia Town'. You can faintly pick out the words. You have to pass it anyways as you walk. You're just about to the sign when you felt that egg shake like you've never felt it. You can feel the pokemon within squirm and move around. Then you can see cracks forming along near the top, making a circular pattern. The circular area was pushed away, revealing a cat-like paw before the egg shook so much that you couldn't hold on anymore. The force of the impact was hard enough that the egg shattered. There on the ground was a fox-like pokemon who had landed on its back. It let out a horrendous sneeze before looking at you with its innocent eyes. It rolled onto its stomach and tried to get into a sitting stance, which it did, but was swaying a bit. It then decided that it was going to try to walk the distance up to you and staggered to you before tripping over its own paws and fell flat on its face. The baby pokemon let out a cry of pain, tears falling down its face. If you glanced at your Poketech, you'd see that there was already a read-out on your new pokemon. You'd see that it was indeed a Velix and it was a level 1 female. Congratulations! :velix ![]() Lv1 |

Majin's face lit up with joy. His third addition to the team. He knelt down and tried to help it, supporting the small fox Pokémon by placing a hand each under it's front paws. Holding it up, Majin smiled towards the creature. "Hello, there." In the beginning of this journey, Majin remembered he didn't want a Pokémon like Velix. It was only when the job was asked upon him that he rethought everything. The man seemed nice, but demanding. His request was to get the merchandise back and offered a reward of a Pokémon. Would it have really been his reward? Probably not. Now looking back on it, the choice to take this Pokémon was a rewarding decision in itself. With Velix on the team, Nido and Machop would have to try and help out Velix until it got to their levels. However, he just wanted them to make friends among themselves. Nido and Machop could already work well together, and Majin hoped Velix would fit right in. "Alright. I still got to get back." Majin said, quickly glancing the town's way. "Once we get my other two Pokémon rested up, how about a meeting? For now, a pokeball." The boy put the new Pokémon down, grabbed a pokeball, and enlarged it. He wanted Velix to willingly go in so they could go on. |

As you held it, it looked at you with curiosity in its expression before playfully patting your face with her paws. As you set it back down, the Velix was more interested in everything around her to even pay attention. It watched bird pokemon fly over, leaning back to keep the pokemon in her eyesight up to the point that she landed on her back with a startled cry. She quickly rolled back onto her stomach as she tried standing up again. She saw a tall weed move in the breeze and decided that maybe it wanted to play. Before she could pounce on the weed, she caught movement in her field of vision. An odd object got her attention as you seemingly offered it to her. Was it food or was it a toy? Perhaps maybe a friend. She carefully walked to the object, giving it a sniff. It couldn't be food because it didn't smell edible. Of course, she didn't even know what something edible smelled like so it tried to bite the side of the pokeball. Hard metal hit her teeth and she let out a yip of surprise. Well, it definately was not food. Was it a friend perhaps? It didn't move and she couldn't see anything that told her it was alive. Of course, she was too young to know that. So she pawed at it, trying to get its attention before asking if it wanted to be her friend. Of course, she didn't get a reply back. So it had to be a toy. What a wonderful toy it could be! It was round so she could bat it around. What fun she could have. But she'd have to get you to drop it so she could play with it though. She struggled to get it out of your grip. Of course, with you being stronger than the pokemon, there wasn't much chance of that ever happening. Then she saw a grey thing on the front. Maybe that was how to get it out of your hand. She pawed at the button. You watched as energy covered the little pokemon , taking it into the pokeball. She didn't struggle and a few minutes later, the button returned to its gray luster. |

Seeing the minor victory, Majin smiled. He thought to himself for moments after of how he was going to heal the Pokémon. (As in every post...) He would want to keep going on, and maybe take up some training with the three Pokémon. Being a baby, Velix would need lots of new moves to make it a formidable opponent. Nido and Machop could use one or two new moves to make them formidable at their levels. The last battle really opened the boy's eyes. Nido is a poison type, and it'd be wise to uphold the type. He could use that type for battles, inflicting a status ailment to damage foes over time. Machop could be turned into a strict powerhouse. His moves would have foes knocked out in a series of turns with nice punches and kicks. Velix, well, Majin didn't know much about that type of Pokémon yet and it would take some studying to find out. Off to Millenia Town first! A stop at a Poke Mart or finding a way to heal them were first priorities. |

Millenia Town was the center of technology, it had technological installments almost everywhere, growing less frequent as the residences got further away from the CBD of the Town. You on the other hand had made a wrong turn and walked down a side alley bereft of hustle and bustle but rife with filth and footpads. You do know what a footpad is don't you? If not I shall tell you, a footpad is a highwayman or robber who goes on foot. Anyway, the Pokemon Center was nowhere in sight to you, nor was the Pokemart, only shadows in the fading light of the day as you wandered back streets with no sense of where you were going -- didn't you already pass that thrash can -- or where you would end up respectively. It was still a while before nightfall but you had no idea what sort of people lurked in the shadows, waiting to pounce onto and unsuspecting trainer in the night, and do unto him whatever they wanted. Plus you carried with you some very appealing pokemon and both a Moonstone and a Reaper Cloth that some little scoundrel may want to steal from you and leave you to rot in a maze of buildings where murkrow would -- what was that back there? A glimmer of the outside world? You could only hope as you back tracked and say that as last it was a brighter street full of smiling people. A boy pointed and exclaimed most loudly "Mummy, look at that man down there in the alley." The woman who was most obviously this boys mother smacked his hand "Don't point at the homeless," she said and tugged her son off down the street. Homeless? It was possibly a true exclaimation. Dust and dirt had made is way onto your clothing as well as webs sticks and twigs. You were dirty but not homeless, the alleyways had that effect, making one look like they had just crawled through the forest like a Caterpie. None the less you made your way into the street and looked around. To your like and pleasure you spied the Pokemon Center and made your way towards it. People looked at you and smiled giving a nod, even though you were dirty and probably smelled a bit, you were safe once more. You entered the Pokemon Center and Nurse Joy greeted you. "Hello sir," she said happily taking your pokemon. Once they were healed she returned them to you, and her eyes moved to the area just to your left anf behind you. Smiling like a school girl who had just been asked out by the hotest boy in school, and giggling just as much she said. "And your Koffing? Does he need any services today?" You just -- wait a minute, what? Did Nurse Joy just say you Koffing? You didn't have a Koffing did you? Nurse Joy took your expression into heart and pointed just to the left of your head, "That... isn't yours?" she asked. You turned your head and sure enough there it was. Lv. 6Seems like someone had followed you from the sidestreets and he like that you didn't notice him. He was smiling too, he wasn't aggressive in the least and the fact he followed you hinted he wanted something from you. He smiled and shook a little, "Koff-koff-koffing" he said grinning. Nurse Joy was stifling a laugh, Koffing was showing off, trying to amuse you. The fact is was it working, or was it just annoying he had manage to shadow you until this point? You had a choice to make really, and you needed to clean yourself up a bit as well. So what will you do? |

A Koffing. This Pokémon was not on Kaz's list of Pokémon to catch. He was also in a Pokémon Center, and couldn't intiate a fight. Today wasn't Kaz's day to catch a Pokémon. "Koffing, let's battle!" Kaz declared. He took all three pokeballs and looked at them. Koffing didn't look like a weakling, so Velix wouldn't do so good. Nido is Kaz's highest level Pokémon and would no doubt to the best. Machop was a powerhouse but in this case, he may not be so good. Kaz needed to get outside, and to do so he wanted to take several steps forward, if not run outside. The idea for Nido crossed Kaz's mind and it worked. Nido needed more moves. Being so close to a new level, the suspence of whether or not Nido would learn a valuable move was killing him. But one thing for sure, Nido didn't have a chance for one attack Kaz had in mind. Horn Attack. It was a move that had concentrated energy on the horn. Peck was already a good grounding structure for the attack. As far as Kaz could tell, Horn Attack was just a stronger version of Peck that could have Nido being more of a powerhouse then Machop... For now. "Go, Nido!" Throwing the pokeball, it slipped from Kaz's fingertips with ease. As Kaz noticed Nido coming out, his first line of commands would start. "Nido, this is your time to learn a new move. Horn Attack! I want you to use focus energy, but try focusing some on your horn. Plus, use peck to charge it up." Kaz hoped that would work. "You don't need to attack unless Koffing approaches." |

The Koffing looked confused, and floated over to you, rubbing it's meteor like body on your arm. It didn't look much like this thing was being any form of ggressive, it simply liked you. Maybe trying to befriend and catch it would be a good idea, forcing it to battle would be kinda cruel, don't you think? It's a good poison type, too. With Levitate, it's only weakness was Psychic types. It could aid your Nidoran in learning Poison type attacks later on as well. Nidoran, with instructions to try out a new move, but no target to aim at, tried focusing energy into it's horn, and stabbed at the air a bit. t then tried the same thing, only with a Peck attack under it, and lunged forward, toppling over and landing on it's bottom. It was... somewhat right, but it needed more strength, better accuracy, and to be able to preform the move a bit better. Try instructing again, and be specific! Horn Attack: 20%

Kazuki tried to think it over. Koffing could help Nido. Two ways. One: getting experience points to level. Second: learning new moves. The thought of learning Horn Attack and recieving experience had clouded over in Kaz's head, making any other decision disappear. Seeing the small progress Nido made on just the first attempt sort of surprised Kaz, but made him happier. "Ok, that was great, Nido." Kaz had to help Nido focus more, but also have more accuracy. "We'll practice it like this. Koffing can give you experience, and we both want you to become stronger. Use Focus Energy on your horn, and Peck; the same as the last instruction. This time, however, use it on Koffing." They may have been in the Pokemon Center, but there was no way a Horn Attack could do THAT much damage. It wasn't like an explosion. If it hit, well, Kaz just hoped it would push Koffing outside so the real battle could get on. With all that said, Kaz tried mapping out their next move ahead of time. He wouldn't really speak it to Nido, obviously. It was a shame it had to be a Koffing. Kaz would've considered it if they weren't so experience-thirsty. Kaz's aim for Nido was teaching it Horn Attack, and raising the level to 16. Than, he'd have a Nidorino. A fraction of his "Dream Team" would be right there for him. Koffing, however, had no place in a Dream Team. |

Nidoran concentrated hard, building power into his horn. It began to glow a faint whitish hue, and within a few moments, the small pink rabbit Pokemon drew to it's feet. It lunged itself up at Koffing, hitting it hard and fast down to the ground. The accuracy was there, and the move was preformed completely, yet it was still lacking power. For a successful Horn Attack, enough energy should be built into the horn that it becomes a vibrant white color. One more try should do it, although.... Koffing was devastated. All it wanted was to join a trainer, and that same trainer was attacking it down. Confusion turned to sadness, and sadness turned to anger. It got up, and started emitting waves of energy. You could physically feel the power emanating from the purple meteor looking Pokemon, and backed up from the sheer menace. Then in a single burst, a super powered Psybeam rushed full force into your Nidoran. This hit was especially strong, fueled by the rage the Koffing now felt for human kind. Nidoran was almost completely overwhelmed by the attack, and barely managed to stand. Fed up with this, the Koffing floated out an open window, and out of the Pokemon Center. It all happened so fast, all you could do was sit back and wonder ".....What jsut happened?" Thankfully, you're sitting in a Pokemon Center. The damage to Nidoran could be fixed quickly and easily. The Koffing didn't look like it could go that fast, either. It knew a rare move, but it was... Kinda extremely pissed at you. There's a chance you could find it, but... It's up to you. Battle! "Whoa!" Kaz jumped back. The attack had surprised him, a lot. He focused his attention on Nido, but heard the pokemon leaving the building. It was that moment that put in Kaz in a dangerous position. Nido was on the brink on fainting, again. Kaz ran to Nido, confused on what exactly to do. Nido may have been conscience, but it was very close to fainting, and yes, a pokemon center was there and would aid Kaz a lot. "Nurse, can you please heal Nido, quick?" The Horn Attack was nearly complete. After Kaz had asked the Nurse, he hoisted his pokemon on the counter. As he looked towards the door, he seen what Koffing was going. A slow pace to the hovering pokemon would leave time to have a quick heal and get back to the battle. The last, and missing practice of a new move were so close. |

Head of Registration - The Exploding Train
|
So it would appear that the stars shine brightly upon you, trainer! Or at least you were good enough this year to make Santa's nice list! A beep from your Poketech alerted you to the addition of one Charcoal to your inventory, courtesy of some promotional giveaway! How very fortunate! Another fortunate thing that happened was that there was apparently nobody else at the Pokecenter that day, making your Nidoran the top priority for Nurse Joy. In what appeared to be no time at all, she gave you back your Pokemon announcing that it was fully healed. She did seem a little agitated about you starting a fight in the lobby, however. That was irrelevent though, for you thanked her quickly and burst out the door trying to find the Koffing. The floating Pokemon did not have the oppurtunity to heal like your Nidoran did. In fact, it had put in extra energy into fleeing, and lost a bit of its as a result! You were able to catch up with it, mostly due to the good fortune that the Koffing stuck to the main street, and gave you a clear shot of it floating away. After catching up to it, it once again looked like you would have the chance to win this battle.
