Derping... All Day, Every Day!
|
My pokemon looked ready to collapse. Her legs were weaker after using Quick Attack, which she had used to finish off the other canine. It was vulnerable and the thought of capturing it had been present. But something held him back. The wish list inside his mind didn't have this pokemon at the top, but it did have it's evolution. I fathomed over the thought; do I catch it now and train it to evolve or do I wait and go looking for one later on? It didn't really matter to me, and a part of me wanted to leave it based on giving me such a terrible headache. My headband covered the part that throbbed. Electrike was a dick for what he had done, and I'd leave him there waiting to wake up. "Come back, Quilava. You did great." A compliment never hurt and could only boost my pokemon's morale. As the red light took off from the sphere to swallon the Quilava, it looked as if she had no fight left in her. For now, a Pokemon Center should be my one and only destination. Thinking of the Electrike, I could capture it now. Taking this opportunity was in moments. A beep broke that concentration and brought my attention to my poketch. A pokemon had been added to my account, my personal computer gained a number, and where it was from I was unaware of. In Alternia, there had been so many mysterious things that I still had no knowledge of. One day, I thought to myself, I'll find out how this island works. But now back to the Electrike. My mind was on the strangest of tracks, and cycled through and through. "You caused me some pain," I sighed, "I'm leaving you here to deal with it." Back towards town, the Pokemon Center seemed to be the hang out today. People made lines to visit the Nurse and the computer, exchanging pokemon as they went along with traveling and gym battles. Such a normal thing nowadays. The thought popped up to me; going to my first gym might not be that bad. In fact, it may even be fun. My team had to be right, it had to be perfect. The first gym couldn't be THAT strong, right? I am near positive that Nidoking or Flaaffy can make quick work of the pokemon. It was settled, I'd bring the perfect team and go around to my first gym or find another adventure. "Nidoking. Flaaffy." I wrote on a piece of paper, while waiting in line. What else did I have to do while I had several people before me. "This is no place for that baby pokemon that I recently got. Bulbasaur, it's name was. I'll put him and that bag of... whatever, inside. I'll only bring the main four with me." I planned the perfect set, but when I got to the computer, the list had been much more than I imagined. Has it really been this long since visiting the center? I've gained several types and I had no idea. Recently, I've gained back a Sneel. A snake pokemon that is native to Alternia, which I thought I got rid of. A Trainer must've made a mistake, giving it to me but I had no way of returning it. That's strange. A bag pokemon, not as smelly as Trubbish, but as useless as a door. Lapras, a rare from Kanto, had been added. Some promotional thing going on for Trainers. I didn't know I even signed up, but I was lucky to get such a find! Ok! I got my team. It was Nidoking, Flaaffy, Quilava, Skarmory, and unfortunately Trikurtreet. Turning, I seen a variety of Trainers. "Anyone want to trade for my Trikurtreet? I am even willing to sell it..." A strange hate for the pokemon boiled. |

Millenia Town - Town Centre Mid-Afternoon Sunny Hang on a minute. I know your brain is addled from the Electrike and all that, but are you really going to let that Croagunk leave with four of your PokéBalls? Of course, I think you've realised now that these PokéBalls that the Pokémon took were empty - either that or that canine Pokémon you've left in the middle of a field must have hit you so hard you'd forgotten about it! Regardless, you've got plenty in your bag anyway of a better quality than those poxy red and white balls, so I suppose it's not such a massive deal for you. Time we moved on then, isn't it? With your team rearranged to what you wanted (plus one Pokémon that you wanted rid of as quickly as possible), you glanced around the town centre. "Anyone want to trade for my Trikurtreet? I am even willing to sell it..." you called out, holding the PokéBall containing your hated Pokémon in the air. I don't know what this poor little bag-like Pokémon had done to deserve such ire from you, but if you're that keen to sell it on to someone, I can't really stop you. I can make it horrendously difficult for you, but I won't stop you. "I'll take that Pokémon off your hands, if you like," a quiet voice replied, prompting to you to glance across to see who had made such an offer. Within seconds, you spotted a blue-haired youth curiously glancing up at the PokéBall you were holding aloft. In a way, it almost seemed like he had never heard of a Trikurtreet and was wondering what it looked like! "I've never really heard of a 'Trikurtreet', so it must be extremely rare. If you don't want to hang onto it though, I can find a use for it," he continued, bizarrely electing to take a PokéBall from his own belt. "The name's Flynn. I propose a challenge to you, trainer," this reserved teenager admitted, pressing the button upon his PokéBall to reveal his own Pokémon battler - a rather serious looking Quagsire. "A one on one battle. If you beat my Quagsire, I will pay you $3,800 to take that Trikurtreet off your hands. If I win, the Trikurtreet comes with me for nothing. Seeing as how you're so keen to get rid of it, I doubt you'll say no to this?" Flynn stated, patting his Quagsire on top of the head. For something you despise so much, that is a lot of money. Either this guy didn't have a clue as to the true value of your Trikurtreet, or it was so rare that it had to be purchased at that price! Regardless, what do you think Kazuki? Will you take Flynn up on his offer? ACE TRAINER FLYNN ![]() Level 21

Trikurtreet wasn't the kind of pokemon Kaz had wanted. It was for a halloween discovery, something that he had taken interest in. It had potential, however, it wasn't what the boy was looking for. Unfortunately, it was time to try and get rid of it without just releasing it. He wasn't exactly broke, but Kaz didn't want to get rid of anything without getting something out of it. That meant a challenge, at least. When he was done using the computer that is what exactly presented itself. A challenge. A confident trainer had approached Kaz, making offers that seemed too good to be true. As a new pokemon, maybe it was rare. Thirty-eight hundred wasn't the price he was asking for, in fact, he hadn't come up with one. But since the guy offered so hastily, how could he refuse. The down side was a lose, and losing out on all that money. With some paintings and tokens, he knew he'd have that in no time. Especially saving up the different years. "Deal." He wasn't sure about this, but as he thought about it, a win was a win and meant extra spending money. A lose was a lose and a lost chance at that spending money. Either way, the pokemon would be gone and free up some space in his PC box. There was nothing Kaz really feared in this situation. He started to plan on what pokemon he wanted to use, and checked his watch. His Poketch beeped and some information popped up. He realized that none of his pokemon could pose a challenge and he'd lose all of this money. "Go outside, let me heal the team and I'll be right there." Kaz was going to heal the team, only after he got Vespiquen out of the PC. When he got to the counter, he wondered how this pokemon worked. His poketch offered a little assistance. But it was time, and he had little knowledge of this kind of pokemon, he hated bug types, and never introduced himself to this pokemon. The only advantage he would have would be the level gap, oh, and the fact that ground moves didn't effect the bee. Perfect, right? "Buzz loud and fly proudly, Vespiquen!" As summoning some kind of spirit, Kaz released his queen bee. The level difference, the ability, and the type difference was the only thing he was hoping on. Now, would she let him control her. That was a whole other story. His approach had to be different than what he took with Nidoking; his straight-off offense. "How about a confuse ray, than follow up with a gust!" x Confuse Ray x Gust |

Millenia Town - Town Centre Mid-Afternoon Sunny Such a cheater you are, Kazuki Pavan. I always thought the rule behind Pokémon battles was that you were to take on an opponent with the Pokémon arsenal that you have available to you at the time. It made no difference as to whether there was a nearby Pokémon Centre that you could sneak into or not. Regardless, I suppose I have little choice but to let you get away with this - it wasn't as though you had told Flynn your entire Pokémon team, so how was he to know that you had nipped into the Centre to collect your strongest Pokémon, a Vespiquen, from the electrical confines of the PC. "I see you're ready now, trainer," Flynn admitted, eyeing the Beehive Pokémon in curiosity. It seemed rather stronger than his own Quagsire, but he couldn't be truly certainly until he asked his Water Fish Pokémon to inflict a blow upon his opponent. "Quagsire, a double Slam attack!" he ordered, pointing straight at your Vespiquen. However, what he hadn't anticipated was your ally exerting Pressure upon his Quagsire - or the ensuing ray of light that left your foe looking rather perplexed and confused at what was going on. Needless to say, Quagsire looked as though he had just been given the toughest maths exam in the history of everything - which he had no clue how to start, finish, or how to write down his name. Usually, when you're confused, you sometimes slap yourself across the face to perk yourself up a bit. Slight difference when Pokémon do though - it just hurts. A lot. "Hm, an interesting tactic there, trainer. Change of plans, Quagsire - enact Plan R," Flynn ordered, prompting a confused glance from you - what the hell was Plan R and how would it make the slightest bit of difference in terms of winning this battle? Such confusion was well-founded, especially considering your Vespiquen was dishing out pain like a mother hands out candy on Halloween. The difference in strength between your Beehive Pokémon and the Water Fish Pokémon was extreme, to say the least - so much so that a mere Gust attack had the power of a Beaufort Scale 8 wind! It was insane - and I doubt the Quagsire nor Flynn appreciated such a fierce-some gale! Once the wind died down, however, it finally became apparent just what Plan R was. With your opponent finally understanding his maths test (in other words, snapping out of confusion), he turned his head to the sky. Bizarrely, the Quagsire then proceeded to blast a Water Gun attack 180 degrees into the air - and onto himself! Part of you wondered why he had just attacked his own body, until your PokéTech flashed up with a helpful note. 'Quagsire has the ability Water Absorb, and restores a quarter of his health when struck by a Water Attack,' it stated, prompting a bemused glare on your part. I suppose he's cheating just as much as you were doing earlier then, wasn't he? Regardless, despite such a devilish ability up his sleeve, the Quagsire was struggling in comparison to your Vespiquen. You clearly had the upper hand here - so let's get this battle finished off and that Trikurtreet out of your sight!
